Abstract

Salah satu kemampuan yang dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Siswa sudah mampu mengerjakan soal matematika tetapi belum cukup baik dalam menganalisis dan berpikir dengan maksimal. Sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Hal ini juga di sebabkan karena adanya perbedaan gaya kognitif pada masing masing siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah barisan dan deret pada gaya kognitif reflektif dan gaya kognitif impulsif berdasarkan asimilasi dan alomodasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 14 Muaro Jambi. Pada penelitian ini siswa di berikan soal tes MFFT, untuk mendapatkan subjek gaya kognitif reflektif dan gaya kognitif impulsif. Siswa yang tepilih menjadi subjek penelitiaan diberikan soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah barisan dan deret. Hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya kognitif reflektif lebih cenderung mengalami asimilasi pada setiap tahapan pada proses pemecahan masalah, hal ini disebabkan siswa dengan gaya kognitif reflektif lebih detail dalam menganalisis soal. Sedangkan siswa dengan gaya kognitif impulsif lebih cenderung mengalami akomodasi pada setiap tahapan pemecahan masalah hal ini disebabkan siswa dengan gaya kognitif impulsif terlalu cepat dalam merespon dan tidak menganalisis soal dengan teliti.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe students' thought processes in solving mathematical problems based on information processing theory. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach that uses data collection techniques using the method of think aloud and interviews. The instrument in this study used written test questions and interview guidelines. The subjects in this study consisted of one high ability person, one moderate ability student and one low ability student. The results showed that information or stimulus in the form of questions received by students with high, medium, and low mathematical abilities entered the sensory register through the sense of sight and sense of hearing. Then attention occurs after reading the problem and perception arises. Next, students realize perception by retrieval the concepts needed from long term memory to solve problems. When conducting a retrieval of students with moderate mathematical abilities, there is a student who experiences a retrieval failure in explaining the concept. Then for students who have low mathematical ability, the concepts needed for short term memory are not stored well by long term memory, so students often experience errors and forget.

Abstract

Abstract Advances in information and communication technology are developing very rapidly and cannot be dammed anymore. Technological developments are increasingly expanding to all aspects and fields of human life, one of which is in the aspect of education. One of the things that must be improved at this time is information and communication technology literacy, the application of technology in education is more about a person's ability to access, disseminate and communicate information effectively. Technological literacy skills are urgently needed by teachers today, because they are facing the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic which has an impact on the education sector. This service activity aims to train junior high school teachers to make animated learning videos using animaker to improve technological literacy skills. The methods used in this service are expository, demonstration, question and answer, discussion. This service activity was attended by 35 participants who are teachers of all subjects at SMP N 11 Muaro Jambi. The instrument used to determine the level of success and achievement of this training is to use a questionnaire filled out by the participants. Based on the results of the training, it is known that the teacher's response to the technological literacy questionnaire following the training on making animated learning videos using animaker was obtained with an average category of very good. This response shows the satisfaction of the trainees with the activity of making learning videos using animaker. So that training on making animated learning videos using animakers provides excellent motivation for teachers and is very useful, especially in improving technological literacy skills during the Covid-19 pandemic. Abstrak Kemajuan Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi berkembang sangat pesat dan tidak dapat dibendung lagi. Perkembangan teknologi tersebut semakin meluas ke semua aspek dan bidang kehidupan manusia, salah satunya pada aspek Pendidikan. Salah satu yang harus ditingkatkan saat ini adalah pada literasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, implementasi teknologi di dunia Pendidikan lebih kepada kemampuan seseorang dalam mengakses, menyebarkan dan mengkomunikasikan informasi secara efektif. Kemampuan literasi teknologi sangat diperlukan oleh guru untuk saat ini, dikarenakan sedang menghadapi kendala pandemic covid-19 yang berdampak pada sektor Pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melatih guru SMP untuk membuat video pembelajaran animasi menggunakan animaker untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi teknologi. Metode yang di gunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah menggunakan ekspositori, demonstrasi, tanya jawab, diskusi. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini diikuti oleh 35 orang peserta yang merupakan guru di semua matapelajaran di SMP N 11 Muaro jambi. Adapun instrument yang digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan dan ketercapaian pelatihan ini menggunakan angket yang di isi oleh peserta. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan diperoleh bahwa respon guru terhadap angket literasi teknologi mengikuti pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran animasi mengunakan animaker diperoleh dengan rata-rata pada karegori sangat baik. Respon ini menunjukkan adanya kepuasan dari peserta pelatihan terhadap kegiatan pembuatan video pembelajaran menggunakan animaker. Maka pelatihan pada pembuatan video pembelajaran animasi mengunakan animaker memberikan motivasi yang sangat baik kepada guru dan sangat bermanfaat terutama dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi teknologi di masa pandemi Covid-19 ini.

Abstract

Most of digital immigrant lecturers (DILs) in university possess good perceived usefulness but at some extent they hold low perceived easiness towards e-learning portals such as the LMS. This study aimed to analyses the digital-immigrant lecturers’ perceived easiness about e-learning portals and the relationship between the perception and their acceptance towards the portals. This study used survey and experimental research designs. The subjects of this study involve 78 participants of the University students of information communication technology peer-tutorial training. A questionnaire was used to collect the data, during the training they were encouraged to express their perceived easiness about and acceptance towards the portals via a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test and the Spearman rho correlation test. The results of the analysis show that the peer-tutorial training increases the digital-immigrant lecturers’ perceived easiness about the portals. The results also show there is a significant correlation between the perceived easiness and their acceptance towards the portals. It seems that the training is effective in promoting the digital-immigrant lecturers’ perceived easiness about the e-learning portals which is significantly contributive to their acceptance to use them.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hasil analisis proses berpikir kritis dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa pada matakuliah Matematika Diskrit Program Reguler Mandiri Tahun FKIP Universitas Jambi Tahun Angkatan 2012/2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Adapun subjek penelitian diambil 2 orang mahasiswa yang mempunyai kemampuan terendah pada mata kuliah Matematika Diskrit. Subjek penelitian diambil berdasarkan hasil pengujian matematika diskrit yang dilakukan beberapa kali sampaidiperoleh subjek penelitian yang jenuh. Hasil penelitian diperoleh proses berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada matakuliah Matematika Diskrit Program Reguler Mandiri FKIP Universitas Jambi Tahun Angkatan 2012/2013 masih rendah karena mahasiswa belum memenuhi ketrampilan berpikir kritis dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal. Demikian juga kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa pada matakuliah Matematika Diskrit Program Reguler Mandiri FKIP Universitas Jambi Tahun Angkatan 2012/2013 masih rendah karena mahasiswa belum memenuhi langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah matematis dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the practicality of Teaching Materials in the form of Mathematical Comics using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in learning for junior high school students. Comics are reading materials that are generally more in demand than textbooks by children, especially teenagers. Based on its characteristics, comics contain stories in the form of: Images and text are loaded in text balloons and presented in the form of panels. If comics are presented like the application of a realistic mathematical approach, especially in learning mathematics, it is expected to create an interesting learning atmosphere for students. This research is a development research with ADDIE model. The population in this study were all students of class X SMAN 1 Jambi. While the sample is class X-1 as many as 15 students. The instruments in this study were individual tests by teachers and small group tests by students. Based on the analysis of the data, it was found that the results obtained from the teacher's response questionnaire were 89.40% including practical criteria and student assessments in the form of small group tests 92.40% with very practical criteria. Results Based on the assessment, the mathematical comics developed are valid and can be used as additional material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan proses kesalahan konstruksi konsep peserta didik berdasarkan indikator kesalahan konstruksi konsep serta mengetahui level scaffolding yang dapat diberikan berdasarkan teori APOS. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 3 orang yang sesuai dengan kriteria yang ditentukan. Instrument menggunakan soal tes dengan pengerjaan secara think aloud dan lembar wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan dengan (1) mereduksi data (2) Menyajikan data (3) Menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesalahan konstruksi konsep matematika pada tahap Action peserta didik melakukan kesalahan lubang konstruksi, mis-logical construction, mis-analogical construction. Tahap process berupa kesalahan lubang konstruksi. Tahap Object kesalahan mis-analogical construction. Tahap Schema berupa kesalahan mis-logical construction. Pemberian scaffolding level II pada tahap Action adalah explaining dan reviewing. Tahap Process adalah explaining dan restructuring. Tahap Object adalah restructuring. Tahap Schema pemberian scaffolding level III yaitu developing conceptual thinking. This study aims to analyze and describe the process of students' conceptual construction errors based on indicators of conceptual construction errors and to determine the level of scaffolding that can be given based on the APOS theory. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Research subjects were determined by purposive sampling technique. The research subjects were 3 people who fit the specified criteria. The instrument uses test questions with think aloud workmanship and interview sheets. Data analysis techniques are carried out by (1) reducing data (2) presenting data (3) drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that in the Action stage students made mistakes in the construction of mathematical concepts in the Action stage, they made mistakes in construction holes, mis-logical construction, mis-analogical construction. The process stage is in the form of construction hole errors. Stage Object error mis-analogical construction. The Schema stage is in the form of a mis-logical construction error. Giving scaffolding level II at the Action stage is explaining and reviewing. The Process stage is explaining and restructuring. The Object stage is restructuring. The Schema stage of giving scaffolding level III is developing conceptual thinking.

Abstract

Pelajar yang berbeda memiliki kapasitas yang berbeda-beda untuk menghubungkan ide-ide kuantitatif. Untuk mengerjakan soal-soal matematika yang berkaitan dengan bentuk geometri bersisi bengkok, riset ini akan menguji kemampuan mata rantai matematis siswa kelas IX SMP dengan metode pembelajaran visual, auditorial, dan physical. Riset kualitatif deskriptif adalah riset ini. Dengan pemberian penilaian gaya belajar kepada 23 siswa kelas IX B SMP IT Ash-Shiddiiqi, riset ini dilaksanakan. memilih subjek yang memenuhi parameter yang telah ditetapkan untuk mengidentifikasi topik menggunakan metode pemilihan acak. Enam murid terdiri dari peserta studi, dua di antaranya mewakili setiap jenis metode pembelajaran. Menggunakan penilaian gaya belajar, prosedur pengujian, dan percakapan, taktik pengumpulan data digunakan. Minimisasi data, tampilan, dan tahap kesimpulan semuanya termasuk dalam proses analisis data. Hasil riset menampilkan yaitu subjek yang bergaya belajar visual 1 terpenuhi seluruh parameter kemampuan koneksi matematis serta seluruh parameter kemampuan pemecahan masalah, sedangkan subjek dengan gaya belajar visual 2, gaya belajar auditori 1, dan gaya belajar auditori 2 hanya memenuhi dua indikator. kemampuan koneksi matematis, dan subjek dengan gaya belajar kinestetik 1 dan 2 hanya memenuhi satu indikator kemampuan koneksi matematis. Dibandingkan dengan subjek dengan gaya belajar auditorial dan kinestetik,, subjek dengan gaya belajar visual memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis yang lebih baik.  Different learners have varying capacities for connecting quantitative ideas. In order to solve mathematical issues involving curvilinear side space, this research will examine the mathematical link skills of junior high school students in grade IX with visual, auditorial, and physical learning methods. Descriptive qualitative research is what this study is. By administering a learning style assessment to 23 pupils in class IXB SMPIT Ash-Shiddiiqi, this study was carried out. choosing subjects that fit the established parameters in order to determine the issue using the random selection method. Six students participated in the study, two from each learning style per participant. Learning style surveys, testing procedures, and conversations were used to gather the research's data. Data minimization, display, and concluding stages were all included in the data analysis process. The findings indicated that subjects with visual learning style 1 satisfied all mathematical connection ability indicators as well as all problem-solving ability indicators, while subjects with visual learning style 2, auditory learning style 1, and auditory learning style 2, only satisfied two indicators of mathematical connection ability, and subjects with kinesthetic learning style 1 and 2 only satisfied one indicator of mathematical connection ability. Compared to subjects with auditorial and kinesthetic learning styles, subjects with visual learning styles have better mathematical connection ability.

Abstract

This research is an ADDIE-based research and development. Data on the development process were collected using tools validated by materiel experts, design experts, student response questionnaires and teacher responses. The results of the implementation of the use of textbooks are seen from the student activity sheets and student learning outcomes, in this study using participants from class VIII students of MTs YPI Kuala Enok totaling 28 students with a random sampling technique. The results of this development research are: (1) SMP / MTs mathematics textbooks based on the APOS theory on straight line equation material are declared suitable for use in learning activities based on the validation results of material experts and design experts. Based on the results of student and teacher responses to textbooks, they are ranked very well. (2) The effectiveness of using SMP/MTs mathematics textbooks based on the APOS (Action, Process, Object, Schema) theory of straight line equation material seen from the student activity sheet can be concluded that in the process of learning student activities. In addition, on the basis of the results of all students, the criteria for completeness were achieved, an average score of 85. Thus, from the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that textbooks based on the APOS theory are effective in constructing an understanding of the concept of straight line equations.

Abstract

This study intends to ascertain whether e-modules based on problem-based learning (PBL) on numbers should be produced, when the current teaching resources are textbooks. For students, the supply of textbooks became a concern. The abstract issues in the textbook that pupils must solve continue to stump them. A descriptive approach is employed in the research method, which is qualitative. The information was gathered by giving questionnaires to 30 pupils who are familiar with the notion of numbers and by speaking with three math teachers at the school. The findings of this study (1) demonstrate that students require cutting-edge instructional materials in the form of e-modules. (2) To prevent students from getting easily bored while studying, PBL-based e-modules are not only delivered in written form; they can also be integrated to videos and animations.
