Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan aktivitas metakognitif dan kegagalan metakognitif yang muncul pada siswa selama proses pemecahan masalah matematis. Subjek penelitian ini ialah siswa SMK Yadika Jambi, pemilihan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling untuk memilih 1 orang siswa yang dapat mewakili populasi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes berupa 1 soal uraian yang bersifat HOTS dan wawancara untuk menggali pemahaman siswa mengenai jawaban yang dikerjakan dengan menggunakan pedoman wawancara tak terstruktur. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terjadi kegagalan metakognitif pada aktivitas metakognitif siswa. Kegagalan metakognitif siswa didasari oleh beberapa indikator, yaitu metakognitif mirage yang merupakan keadaan dimana siswa mengacuhkan strategi yang bermanfaat, mengubah perhitungan yang sudah benar dan menolak jawaban benar tersebut, metakognitif vandalism yang merupakan keadaan dimana siswa menerapkan struktur konseptual secara tidak tepat, dan metakognitif blindness yang merupakan keadaan dimana siswa mengabaikan adanya kesalahan perhitungan.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate whether there are differences in mathematical communication between students who follow the Problem Based Learning model based on Realistic Mathematics Education and students who follow the Direct Learning model based on independence with high, medium, and low categories of class XI students at SMA Negeri 5 Tebo. This study is a quasy-experimental study with a randomized factorial design. The sample of this study was selected by simple random sampling technique, with class XI IPS 1 as the experimental class and XI IPS 2 as the control class. The instrument used was a test used to measure students' mathematical communication skills and a questionnaire to measure student learning independence. The data analysis technique used in this study is a two-way ANOVA. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) There are differences in mathematical communication skills between students who study using the Problem Based Learning model based on Realistic Mathematics Education and students who learn using the Direct Learning model. 2) There are differences in mathematical communication skills between students who have high, medium, and low independence. 3) There is no interaction between the application of learning models (Problem Based Learning based on Realistic Mathematics Education in the experimental class and Direct Learning in the control class) and students' independent learning on students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and characterize students’ use of deductive reasoning when addressing mathematical problems using linear programming that is based on the Adversity Quotient. This kind of study is qualitative and descriptive. Purposive sampling was the method of sampling employed in this study. There were three different sorts of pupils in class XI IPA I SMA Negeri 5 Batanghari: Quitter, Camper, and Climber types. There were 19 total participants in the study. Each category was represented by one subject, resulting in three students who were chosen as research subjects. Questionnaires, interviews, and tests of problem-solving were the research instruments employed in this study. The processes of (1) Reducing the data, (2) Presenting the data, and (3) Concluding were used to evaluate the collected data. The research’s findings demonstrate that Quitter-type kids are capable of performing calculations based on rules or formulas to comprehend difficulties. Still, they are unable to meet the problem-solving markers when it comes to formulating logical conclusions and gathering direct evidence. Students who are camper type can compute using rules or formulas to comprehend problems, plan, and carry out plans, but they are unable to double-check. Students cannot meet the issue-solving markers when they are gathering direct facts and generating logical conclusions. Students who are climber types can satisfy deductive reasoning requirements by comprehending problems, making plans, carrying them out, and double-checking.

Abstract

In 2020, higher education must implement online learning because of pandemic COVID 19. Learning with the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics(STEM) approach is rarely done in online learning.The first step in implementing the STEM approach on campus in online learning is to develop contextual learning media based on the STEM approach.This study analyzes students' needs for contextual learning media based on the STEM approach in Basic Physics courses in online learning. This research method is a descriptive study with research subjects are 141 second and third-year students of the Physics Education Program ofUniversitas Jambi and the State Islamic University of SulthanThahaSaefudin Jambi.The subject has completed basic physics courses. Data collection was carried out from preliminary observations and the use of a student needs analysis questionnaire.The results showed that students found it difficult to understand several topics in basic physics subjects.It is caused by a lack of instructional media, a lack of descriptions, a less detailed description of formulas, inadequate use of the STEM approach, and a lack of higher-order thinking skills for student practice.From the questionnaire results, it was also found that students needed learning media with a contextual-based STEM approach to help them understand the topics of Basic Physics courses in online learning.

Abstract

Pembatasan pertemuan tatap muka di SMPN 17 Tanjung Jabung Timur memberikan berbagai masalah terutama kurangnya bahan ajar yang mendukung dan lemahnya literasi ICT siswa sehingga berefek kepada Pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembalajaran e-learning yang mendukung kegiatan pembalajaran blended dengan menggunakan media Edmodo. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan desain yang digunakan adalah ADDIE dimana terdapat lima tahap diantanya Analisis, Desain, Develop, Implementasi, Evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Perangkat pembalajaran yang dikembangkan sesuai berdasarkan penilaian ahli, hal ini juga di dukung dengan uji coba kelompok kecil menunjukan setiap indikator berkategori Sangat Baik. Pada uji coba implementasi yang bertujuan Meningkatkan Keterampilan Literasi ICT Siswa Hasil menunjukan rata-rata ketercapian Literasi ICT Siswa di setiap indicator mencapai 80% dengan Kategori Sangat Baik. Dengan demikian Perangkat pembalajaran yang dikembangkan dapat di kategori kan sangat baik dari segi teori dan praktis sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran TIK khususnya pada materi Ms. Word.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diadakan dengan latar belakang adanya kesenjangan antara tujuan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dengan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Dimana tujuan SMK adalah untuk memberikan bekal kemampuan siap kerja kepada siswa sebagai tenaga kerja tingkat menengah sesuai dengan persyaratan yang dianut oleh dunia industri dan dunia kerja, namun pada kenyataannya masih banyak siswa SMK belum mengusai kompetensi yang seharusnya dimiliki. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan prosedur pengembangan dan bentuk E-modul Interraktif Pembelajaran Gambar Teknik untuk Kompetensi Keahlian Desain Pemodelan dan Informasi Bangunan serta mengetahui kelayakan dari e-modul yang dikembangkan. Penelitian pengembangan e-modul ini termasuk jenis Research and Development atau R&D yang akan menghasilkan sebuah produk. Penelitian pengembangan e-modul ini menggunakan model ADDIE dimana terdapat beberapa proses kegiatan dan tahapan pengembangan, diantaranya adalah Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. E-modul ini melalui proses validasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli desain pembelajaran dengan hasil kevalidan yang diperoleh adalah dengan kriteria “Sangat valid”. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Kompetensi Keahlian Desain Pemodelan dan Informasi Bangunan SMK Negeri 3 Tebo yang terdiri dari ujicoba perorangan, ujicoba kelompok kecil, dan ujicoba kelompok besar dengan hasil yang dapat disimpulkan dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Berdasarkan hasil validasi dan ujicoba yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-modul Interaktif Pembelajaran Gambar Teknik Berbasis Keterampilan Kreatif untuk Siswa SMK yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the development process and quality of STEM-based mathematics e-comics designed to enhance students’ creative thinking skills in flat-sided geometric materials for eighth-grade students at SMP. The study follows a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model. The test subjects included a team of experts, a mathematics teacher, and eighth-grade students at SMPN 56 Merangin. The findings indicated a high level of validity, with the e-comics receiving a validity rating of 100% in terms of media and 95,24% in terms of material. The practicality rating from teachers was 100%, and it was classified as very practical. The overall practicality of the e-comics also fell under the “very practical” criteria. The effectiveness of the e-comics, as determined by an effectiveness questionnaire, scored 81,91%, which was considered “very effective.” Furthermore, a test yielded an N-Gain score of 0,65 categorizing the e-comics as quite effective. Based on the N-Gain score, it can be concluded that STEM-based mathematics e-comics effectively improve students’ creative mathematical thinking abilities.

Abstract

In class X of SMA NEGERI 8 Muaro Jambi, a problem was found, namely that students' metacognitive abilities were still at a low level. Therefore, this study aims to describe and compare the impact of implementing the PBL and PjBL models on the level of students' metacognitive abilities in the SPLTV material. The research method used is True Experimental Design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design research design . The population of this study was all students of class X of SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi, with samples consisting of classes X Phase E1, X Phase E4, and X Phase E5. The instruments used to collect data were metacognitive ability level tests and learning implementation sheets. The results of the One-Way ANOVA analysis showed that there was a significant effect of the implementation of the PBL and PjBL models on the level of students' metacognitive abilities with a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05. Furthermore, the Tukey test showed that students who followed the PjBL model had a better level of metacognitive ability, with an average score of 36,53 compared to students who used the PBL model with an average score of 33,28 and conventional learning methods with an average score of 29,41.
