Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify the relationship of characteristic and knowledge of farmers to the successful of artificial insemination (AI) in Aceh Besar Districts. The number of respondents is 93 people from twenty three districts in Aceh Besar, selected purposively as the sample of this research. The instruments used in this research are questionnaire and direct observation in the field, while the observed variables are: farmer characteristics, farmer knowledge and artificial insemination result. The results of this research revealed that the characteristics and knowledge of the farmers were good and showed a real relationship to the successfulness of AI in Aceh Besar Districts. The average service per conception (S / C) in Aceh Besar Districts during 2017 was 1.32 while the conception rate (CR) was 86.36%. The results were in accordance with the standard of general guidance of Upsus Siwab Year 2017.

Abstract

The activity of the cellulase enzyme and the content of phytoestrogen (genistein) forming is determined during the fermentation of soybean waste with Aspergullus niger. The analysis is performed at fermentation incubation time of 0, 48, 96, 144 and 192 hours and treatment with addition of micro nutrient (V2) and without micro nutrient (V1). Data analysis on cellulase enzyme activity on phytoestrogen forming material is performed using T test. The average of cellulase content of fermented soybean waste increases from 0.032-0.139 IU / ml (V1) and 0.061-0.158 IU / ml (V2) after 48 hours into 0.238 IU / ml (V1) and 0.245 IU / ml (V2) after 192 hours The average of genestein levels in the fermented soybean waste increases as well from 0.101 - 0.573 mg / g (V1) and 0.114 - 0.587 mg / g (V2) after 48 hours and increase into 0.722 mg / g (V1) and 0.699 mg / g (V2) after 192 hours. Statistical analysis indicates that the treatment of V1 and V2 has an effect on the increase of cellulase enzyme content and genistein level (P 0.05). The correlation between enzyme activity of cellulase and genistein on soybean waste fermented with Aspergillus niger is significant (R2 = 0,949). The relationship between the enzyme performance and its formation material is running synergistic, cellulase enzyme activity and genistein level experience significant increase during the fermentation process.

Abstract

Sie balu is an Acehnese dried meat preserved by the addition of salt, acid and dried. However, long processing and drying it under the sun can cause meat products contaminated by Salmonella. Irradiation can eliminate  Salmonella  and  other  pathogenic  bacteria  in  food.  This  study  aims  to  determine  the  presence  of Salmonella in sie balu after irradiated with increasing doses and 2 to 4 months shelf life. Sie balu was made of 5 kg fresh beef, dried under the sun to dry, vacuum and irradiated at doses of 5, 7 and 9 kGy. Salmonella was detected using bacteriological and biochemical tests. Results showed sie balu contaminated by Salmonella paratyphi B and Salmonella cholerasuis. The irradiation and shelf life significantly affect (P0.05) the count of Salmonella in sie balu compared with unirradiated one. Irradiation doses of 5, 7 and 9 kGy do not affect the count of Salmonella in sie balu. Extending the shelf life up to 4 months can increas the count of Salmonella. This study concluded that irradiated sie balu at doses of 5, 7 and 9 kGy can be stored for up to two months

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah pelaksanaan implementasi model supervisiklinis dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik dan kompetensi Profesional guru Agama.Penelitian ini mengambil lokasi di MI Ar-Rahman Labuaja, Kabupaten Bone. Jenis penelitiankualitatif, dengan pendekatan fenomenologis dan deskreptif naturalistik, teknik pengumpulan datamelalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sedang teknik analisa data dengan teknik Miles danHuberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian inimenunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pelaksanaan implementasi supervisi klinis sudah cukup baik, terbuktitindakan riil yang dilakukan pengawas secara sistematis dan terprogram, sudah melaksanakan sikluspendahuluan, observasi dan siklus balikan dengan baik; 2) hambatan yang dihadapi antara lain jumlahpengawas tidak seimbang dengan jumlah guru dan sekolah, asumsi guru, letak geografis, saranaprasarana, waktu, biaya, dan kebijakan pemerintah. Upaya tindak lanjut yang dilakukan pengawasdengan membangun pola hubungan kolega, menciptakan sistim kolaborasi dengan kepala sekolah danguru, memperbaiki asumsi guru, penyusunan jadwal secara sistimatis, memanfaatkan sarana prasaranadengan baik (3) implementasi supervisi klinis benar-benar dapat meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogikGuru Agama terlihat dari beberapa fakta perubahan pada guru semakin kreatif menyusun perencanaandan pelaksanaan serta laporan mengajar berbasis ICT. Hasil pengujian hipotesis tersebutmembenarkan bahwa ada pengaruh Implementasi Supervisi Klinis terhadap Kompetensi PedagogikGuru Agama pada tabel 4.11 uji hipotesis dengan Coefficientsa, dapat dinilai 0,000 < 0,05, inimenandakan bahwa H1 diterima dan Hₒ ditolak artinya koefisien pengaruh

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the bone growth of broiler chickens fed with additional probiotic Aspergillusniger (AKBIS Prob). The organ taken was the femur bone. A total of 24 broiler chickens reared with additional feed on 4 treatments and 3 repetitions with a combination of additional feed namely P0 (commercial feed), P1 (commercial feed and 2% AKBIS Prob), P2 (commercial feed and 4% AKBIS Prob) and P3 ( commercial feed and 6% AKBIS Prob). The sampling of the femur bone was carried out on chicken 21 and 35 days old and observed histologically after stained with hematoxylin-eosin (HE). The results showed from the examination of macroscopic growth that the femur growth increased more at the age of 35 days compared to the age of 21 days in the treatment group P1, P2 and P3 who were given probiotic Apergillusniger (AKBIS Prob) where the amount of Ca and P required for growth can be fulfilled. On microscopic examination, the measurement parameters were the number of active osteoblasts and osteoblast that looked more passive on the 35th day of treatment, compared to the age of 21 days. While the number of osteoclasts was more at age 21 than at age of 35 days in the treatment group who were given probiotic Aspergillusniger (AKBIS Prob)as additional food.

Abstract

The study aimed to find out the effect of Lactobacillus casei fermented milk as diabetic drug (Therapeutic). Mice were 3-4 month old, male and body weight ranged 20-30 g. This Research used Completely Randomized Design with factorial pattern, consisted of dose and  duration of  feeding. Treatments were divided into four treatment, P1 (no treatment), P2 (mice were induced with alloxan), P3 (mice were induced with alloxan and fed with fermented milk L. casei with 0.5 mL/mice) and P4 (mice were induced with alloxan and fed with Lactobacillus casei fermented milk 1 mL/mice). Provision of L. casei fermented milk provided at libitium and L. casei fermented milk given for 7 and 14 days. Blood  were collected from Vena lateralis and dropped on the strip test Easy Touch GGHb. The results showed that not only dose administration of L. casei fermented milk had significantly decrease (P0.01) of glucose levels in mice, but also duration of treatment. It can be concluded that the administration of fermented milk L. casei can be used as a complement therapy for diabetic mice

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the total amount of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) contamination in beef sold in traditional market in Banda Aceh. Total of 16 beef samples were used in this research, 2 samples from Beurawe market, 10 samples from Peunayong market, and 4 samples from Seutui market. Samples were cultured on manitol salt agar. The number of S. aureus colonies was calculated using colony counter, and the result was compared to the limit of microbial contamination based on Indonesian National Standard (SNI). The result of this research showed that the highest level of S. aureus contamination was derived from Beurawe market. It is concluded that all beef sold by seller from traditional market in Banda Aceh were contaminated by S. aureus.Key words: Staphylococcus aureus, meat, traditional market, number of contamination

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the basic consideration of consumers based on halal and economic factors in beef markets (butchery) at Lambaro, Aceh Besar. A survey approach was used in this research through interview of respondents using structured questionnaire. The respondents were selected randomly from consumers purchased beef. The criteria of respondents were Muslim, aged≥ 20 years and purchased beef in the study location. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. A number of 90 respondents were interviewed in this survey. The results showed that most of the consumers concerned about the halal aspect. Furthermore, a number of consumers stated that they expect for halal certificate available on the butchery. This is intended to increase consumer’s confidence on halal status of beef. Then, the economic factor also influenced the consumer’s choice for halal beef.

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the basic consideration of consumers belief on halalan, thayyiban, and to analyze the relationship between socioeconomic status and consumers’ reason when deciding to buy chicken meat in some markets of Aceh Besar District. This study was conducted from March to April 2016 in Lambaro market, Lam Ateuk market, and Ketapang Dua market. A survey approach was used in this research through interview of respondents using structured questionnaire. The respondents were selected randomly from 139 consumers who buy chicken meat in those markets. The criteria of respondent were Muslim consumers, age ≥ 20 years, and buy chicken meat in the study location. The research data were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study showed that most of the costumer's belief that the chicken meat was sold with halal standard. The majority of consumers mentioned that their beliefs was based on the basis of knowing the butcher which is a Muslim (36.69%). In addition, most consumers ( 90%) expressed confidence in the status of thayyiban (safe, healthy and intact) of broiler chicken which sold in all three markets. Age, level of education, and occupation are the factors that affect the mindset of consumers perception in choosing chicken meat that halal thayyiban. On the other hand, the economic status of consumers also can affect the consideration of the halal, thayyiban, when buying chicken at the market. In conclusion, the status of halal and thayyiban of broiler chicken meat is very important for consumers.

Abstract

This study aimed to test the estimation accuracy of stray dogs population using video camera equipped with software of animal perception of seismic phenomena (APSP) and manually observation which counting the number of biting cases by rabies-risk animals (RRA) in four sub-districts of Banda Aceh (grouped as highest and lowest reported biting cases). This study was conducted by direct observation and counting the number of stray dogs around rubbish bin at night (10.00-12.00 pm) in each sub-district, the counting was repeated 3 times at the same time on different day. The data was analyzed using world society for the protection of animals (WSPA) methods. Overall, the results showed that the number of stray dogs around rubbish bin in four sub-districts were highest based on manual counting method as compared to counting by using video camera equipped with APSP software. The numbers of stray dogs were high in the sub-districts with higher reported bitting cases by RRA. As conclusion, counting of stray dogs by using manual methods is still more reliable than using video camera equipped with APSP software.Key words: rabies, stray dogs, population, software APSP
