Abstract

The origin of man is monotheism; acknowledging the oneness of God and serving Him. However, in its journey, was most of man forgot his monotheism and disobeyed to serve Him anymore, as a result of their misguidance and destruction. This text intended to know the concept of monotheism in al-Fatihah latter. Through the analytic pattern description, the study found several important points. First, monotheism in al-Fatihah latter was very comprehensive, because it includes monotheism of rububiyah, ulluhiyah and al-asma ’wa al-sifat. Even al-Fatihah latter does not only contain monotheism, but contained the meaning of the entire contents of the Qur'an. Second, any work that started without bismillah will be cut off and has no blessing value. Third, so that one's activities in accordance with his beliefs, a strong will is needed to make monotheism a view of his life. Worldview or one's natural views we are the principle for every human action, including scientific and technological actions. If the concept of monotheism in al-Fatihah letter with all the network of concepts contained in the Qur'an has become a view of life and underlies every activity, monotheism will guide human beings to gain salvation and happiness.

Abstract

Reiki as a soul healing technique originates from Buddhism, contains basic problems even though it has been widely accepted by society. This technique was rediscovered by Mikao Usui and continues to grow today. In the perspective of Islamic psychiatric healing, through Imam Al-Ghazali, soul healing can be done by means of riyadhah and several other interconnected methods. Riyadhah, this psychological healing trains the soul with spiritual values and is connected with God. This study aims to uncover the problems of reiki techniques that have been applied, then demonstrate the concept of healing in Islam according to Imam Al-Ghazali. This research is a qualitative literature research with a historical approach. The primary sources used were writings from reiki practitioners, and responded by using methods according to Imam Al-Ghazali, one of which was riyadhah. The results of the research show that: First, reiki as a healing method contains Buddhist values, this is confirmed by the principles, the basis that forms the practice of reiki. Second, psychological healing in the Islamic realm can use several methods from Imam Al-Ghazali, including riyadhah, a technique based on faith and sharia.

Abstract

In facing life and life, the problem that mankind always feels is the two choices between happiness and misery. A person who always thinks acts, and behaves positively can certainly achieve positive results and get a sense of happiness. However, not a few people behave and behave negatively expecting positive results and wish to achieve a sense of happiness. Instantaneous motivational trends like these are evidence that between reality and hope is often not linear. This text aims to explore the happy ideas of Naquib al-Attas's perspective. By using the analytical descriptive method, this study found several important conclusions. First, al-Attas divides the happy aspect into two types, namely the aspect of physical and spiritual happiness. Second, for al-Attas, the highest level of happiness is the level of someone who knows himself or makrifatullah. Third, this highest happiness according to al-Attas cannot possibly be achieved by people who always emphasize the material aspects of their life, without knowing themselves, as is the case in modern-secular Western societies.

Abstract

Penghayat Aliran Kepercayaan dan Kebatinan (AKK) akhir-akhir ini mendapatkan kehormatan sangat tinggi. Pasalnya, dengan keputusan Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) tanggal 07 November 2017, AKK yang semula tidak termasuk dalam agama, saat itu setara dengan agama. Padahal AKK yang mereka klaim sebagai agama asli Indonesia memiliki banyak persoalan. Bukan hanya esensi kepercayaan yang bermasalah, tetapi juga sumber kepercayaan dan pelaksanaan ritualnya yang masalah. Makalah ini betujuan untuk mengkaji problem AKK sebagai agama asli Indonesia. Dengan metode deskriptif-kritis kajian ini menemukan beberapa poin penting. Pertama, konsep kepercayaan beberapa AKK memiliki perbedaan yang tinggi dan mempunyai kesamaan dengan ajaran agama resmi yang diakui negara. Kedua, sumber ajarannya berasal dari ide dan gagasan para pendiri AKK setelah berinteraksi dengan kekuatan gaib. Ketiga, ritual yang dijalankan pun tidak hanya menyembah Tuhan, melainkan juga untuk mendapatkan wahyu dari Tuhan seperti para pendirinya. Perbedaan dalam keyakinan, ajaran dan ritual dari setiap aliran tersebut yang membuat AKK tidak layak disebut sebagai Agama, selain itu, terdapat usaha sinkretisasi dengan ajaran agama resmi membuatnya tidak lagi dikatakan asli atau murni. Untuk penjelasan lebih lanjutnya, makalah ini menarik untuk dibaca.

Abstract

Secularism is one of the world's warnings regarding religious matters. In the context of secularism education, which can be interpreted as the wrong information between general education and religious education. This understanding seeks to eliminate Islamic religious values in education. The practice can be started from the design of an educational curriculum that is dry from religious values, as happened in the Western world. This text aims to explore the secularization of thought that exists in the world of education, especially in Indonesia. By using descriptive analytical methods, this study found several important conclusions. Secularism has entered and has a major influence on the dynamics of life, especially in education. Secular educational institutions have indoctrinated students, further away from religious values. The implication is that students no longer consider religious teachings to be important, the worse impact is that students are allergic to religious teachings. Transcendental values in religion are lost, moral decency occurs everywhere, manners are no longer visible, respect for parents, teachers are absent, students tend to be anti-helping, bullying occurs at anyone and ages. In addition, the impact of education secularization gives birth to students who are lazy, undisciplined, easy to complain, and like to commit criminal acts. More than that, when they have finished their studies, they will grow up to be dignified and arrogant figures, irresponsible politicians, capitalist economists, and so on.

Abstract

Aqidah dan syari’ah merupakan dua elemen penting dalam bangunan pendidikan pondok pesantren. Aqidah1 sebagai pijakan dasar berdirinya pesantren sementara syari’ah2 merupakan seperangkat tatanan yang menjelaskan bagaimana kegiatan pendidikan pesantren itu dijalankan. Kedua elemen tersebut dalam dunia pendidikan pesantren tidak dapat dipisahkan antara satu dengan yang lain. Bahkan integrasi keduanya menjadi prasyarat penting untuk membentuk karakter alumni yang berkualitas tinggi, disamping beberapa factor penting lainya.Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor merupakan salah satu pesantren diantara pesantren yang ada di Indonesia. Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor ini, sebagaimana lazimnya pesantren, menjadikan aqidah dan syari’ah sebagai elemen kunci dalam praktik kegiatan pendidikan dan pengajaran didalamnya. Begitu pentingnya arti kedua elemen tersebut bagi kelangsungan hidup Pondok Modern Gontor, maka Gontor sangat memperhatikan dan menekankan aqidah anggota keluarganya, sejak dari santri, guru, kyai bahkan sampai pada karyawan- nya. Namun persoalanya adalah bagaimana integrasi kedua elemen tersebut, bisa dimanifestasikan dalam praktik pendidikan dan pengajaran di Gontor ? Tulisan ini hadir untuk membaca bagaimana potret integrasi aqidah syariah itu diterapkan dalam kegiatan pondok serta bagaimana pula keterkaitan integrasi kedua elemen itu dengan upaya membangun generasi ummat yang bermartabat, keduanya menarik untuk didiskusikan.

Abstract

The standard of person's happiness is vary. The West considers material capacity is ‎considered as a sign that someone is happy. But precisely, such a standard will be ‎different if looked at from Islamic worldview. Happiness is not measured by materials by ‎by its closeness to the Creator of happiness itself. This paper examines the strategy for ‎gaining happiness and its model based on perspective of al-Ghazali. Through an ‎analytical descriptive method, this study found important conclusions they are, first, there ‎are groups of people commit immoral acts such as corruption, collusion and so on; ‎believing in that their activities are able to lead to happiness. Whereas the true happiness ‎according to al-Ghazali is not as such, but happiness is a condition when someone is ‎adept to reach the level of Ma'rifatullah. Second, a method to achieve the ma'rifah al-nafs ‎is one way. It is able to be be achieved by contemplating the goal of man’s creation ‎altogether with their duties and obligations and other questions related to the nature of ‎human existence.‎

Abstract

This article discusses to find out deeply Al-Attas and Smith perspective on understanding Islam, which are both of them have defferences worldview on understanding a reality. Al-Attas as a muslim scholar who respearhead Islamic worldview in this modern era has a differences perspective with Smith as a orientalist and a pioneer of world theology concept which is all of his thought based on Western worldview. The analysis focuses to theological aspect that is rooted of problem on Islamic concept according to them. Based on the analysis could be reached that Al-Attas said that Islam is a word that is directly chosen by Allah to describe the meaning of religion, and necessitates to all Muslims did all the sharī’ah created by Allah SWT both in the pillars of Islam and other teachings contained in the al-Qur'an and Hadith, and underlying it all with faith against God. While Smith refers to Islam only as a word that means submission and applies to all mankind where all can be referred to as Muslims if they commit surrender to their God without looking at their worship. It all resulted in the emergence of the understanding of religious pluralism in which all religions are the same to teach a goodness.

Abstract

The paper explores, that the issue of humanism that carries the idea of man as central to all of life cannot seen as a simple idea. Moreover, Muslim scientists brought up the idea. That is not a few of Muslim scholars in various Islamic universities are working hard campaigning in support disseminated this idea. Humanism actually as understanding of what makes humans as the main shaft in life is unknown in Islamic tradition. This phenomenon needs to get an adequate answer, to give a true description of its concept. In addition, this paper also offers ideas that in order to achieve the betterment of life, a Muslim does not have to empty himself of religion and God. Otherwise, religion and God should not be forgotten. A Muslim has to examine Islam as soon, trough the discipline has been handed down by prophets, and which has been developed by previous scholars, diligently an earnestly, so as the explore of the old heritage, is it expect to find new original concept to answer nowadays problems.

Abstract

In the last decade, new creativity and new awareness of some Moslem scientists who proposed the urgency to interpret al-Qur’an with new approach appeared. One of the scientists was Abdullah Saeed. He sees that there has been a tremendous change in human history. Therefore, he thinks there should be efforts to apply contextual approach of interpreting al-Qur’an. Interpretive approach to the context in question is the interpretation of the trust that the teaching model of the Koran today can be applied by several methods in accordance with the conditions, so that the meaning of the content of the Qur’an that can lead mankind. Model interpretation of this context approach can be implemented through four stages; face word in the text, criticize and analyze the language and considering the context of the letter, meaning that first received and then continued by looking at the social situation and consider the meaning of what is needed at this time. With critical analytical method, this paper tries to explain what and how true interpretation Saeed context approach was realized. Although the idea of true interpretation is not the first time appeared nor purely of itself, but with all the advantages and disadvantages that exist, the proposal was interesting to be observed.
