Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil  belajar siswa pada materi pemantulan cahaya melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match berbantuan media flipchart. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak di kelas VIII F dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 28 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus dengan tingkat keberhasilan untuk setiap siklus minimal 70% dari jumlah siswa mampu memperoleh nilai lebih besar atau sama dengan 70 pada tes hasil belajar siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengukuran berupa tes hasil belajar siswa dan lembar observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 10,72% dengan perolehan hasil belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 71,42% dan siklus II sebesar 82,14%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match berbantuan media Flipchart dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran pemantulan cahaya. Penerapan model pembelajaran ini sebaiknya dirancang dengan persiapan memvariasikan kartu Make a Matchnya dan media flipchart sebaik mungkin demi ketertarikan siswa terhadap materi yang akan dipelajari. Kata Kunci : Kooperatif Tipe Make A Match, Flipchart   Abstract : This classroom action research aimed to improve the learning outcomes in the sub-material of Light Reflection through the flip chart assisted cooperative learning model of Make a Match type. The research was conducted at Junior High School (SMP) 6 Pontianak in the class VIII F with 28 students. The research was conducted in two cycles, each with a rate of success at least 70% of the number of students capable of getting a high score or equal to 70 on the student learning outcome test. Data collection was conducted through learning outcome tests and observation sheets of instructional activities. The research findings indicated that there was an improvement in the student learning outcomes from the first to the second cycle as much as 10.72%, with the result of the first cycle of 71.42% and the second cycle 82.14%. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the flip chart assisted cooperative learnig model of Make a Match type was able to improve the student learning outcome in the instruction of light reflection. The application of this model should be designed by preparing the Make a Match  cards and flip chart as well as possible so as to attract students’ attention to the learning material. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to measure the effectiveness of integrated remediation by using the Elicit Confront Identify Resolve Reinforce (ECIRR) learning model in minimizing the number of student misconceptions in momentum material in impulses. Pre-experimental design with One Group Pretest-Posttest was used in this research. The population in this study was all students of class XI of State Senior High School 10 Pontianak. The Researcher took the intact Group research sample so that it could be obtained in the XI IPA 3 class which consisted of 29 students. The instrument of this study utilized a diagnostic test with 15 item in the from of multiple choice with open reasons. The magnitude of the percentage showed a decrease in the number of students who experience misconceptions with the ECIRR model on momentum and impulse material is 44%. The research also conducted the McNemar test with a significance level of 5% which showed that there had been a significant change in the conception of students after being given an integrative remediation activity using the ECIRR model. The ECIRR model was considered very effective in remediating student misconceptions in momentum material in impulses with an effectivity value of 0,429 with high category according to Hattie barometer. In conclusion, the ECIRR model was effective in reducingthe number of student misconceptions. Kata kunci: ECIRR, Integrasi, Miskonsepsi, Remediasi

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of applying questioning skill in scientific remediation on misconception among grade XI students at the Pontianak 9 Goverment Secondary School. A diagnostic test was constructed using Certainly of Response Index to prompt student’s misconception. Using intact group method students from the class XI IPA3 academic year 2013/2014 was choosen to partisipate in the one group pretest-postest experimental design. Series of questions were given to stimulate student’s curiousity. Analysis result indicated that the remediation activity significanly influence on the student’s misconception reduction on every concept; moment arm  and torque (p=0,31; α=0,05); angular velocity concept  (p=0,004; α=0,05);  rolling motion concept (;; α=5%). The Wilcoxon test result indicates that the remediation significanly effective for all students (α=5% ;dk=1; ; ). Keyword:  Questioning Skill, Scientific Approach, Remediation.   Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan keterampilan bertanya dalam remediasi berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada perubahan jumlah miskonsepsi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Karena itu, tes diagnostik yang disusun dengan metode Certainty of Response Index (CRI) digunakan untuk menetapkan perubahan jumlah miskonsepsi persiswa dan perkonsep. Dengan teknik intact group siswa kelas XI IPA 3 berjumlah 26 orang terpilih untuk berpartisipasi. Penelitian berbentuk one group pretest-postest design. Tes Binomial dan McNemar menunjukkan perubahan jumlah miskonsepsi siswa yang signifikan pada konsep hubungan lengan momen dan torsi (p=0,31; α=0,05); konsep kecepatan sudut (p=0,004; α=0,05). Uji McNemar; konsep gerak menggelinding (;, α=5%). Uji Wilcoxon  menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan keterampilan bertanya dalam remediasi berbasis pendekatan saintifik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perubahan jumlah miskonsepsi tiap siswa (α=5% ;dk=1; ; ).   Kata kunci:    Keterampilan Bertanya, Pendekatan Saintifik, Remediasi.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan metode eksperimen berbasis pendekatan saintifik untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi getaran di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 pontianak. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimental design dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah one-group pretest posttest design dengan sampel penlitian berjumlah 36 orang siwa. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh temuan bahwa terjadi penurunan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa tiap konsep sebesar 55,83%. Perhitungan uji McNemar menunjukkan terjadi perubahan konsepsi siswa dari miskonsepsi menjadi tidak miskonsepsi yang signifikan. Remediasi dengan menerapkan metode eksperimen berbasis pendekatan saintifik efektif untuk memperbaiki miskonsepsi siswa pada materi getaran di kelas IX SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak untuk tiap konsep dengan tingkat efektivitas rata-rata sebesar 0,74 (tergolong tinggi). Abstract : The purpose this study was to invesigate the effectiveness of applying experimental method based scientific approach, to remediated students’ misconception about vibration material in grade nine Junior High School 8 Pontianak. The methode used was pre-experimental design with one-group pretest posttest design wich research sample of 36 students. Based of data analysis it is found that a decline in the average percentage of students misconceptions each concept about 55.83%. The calculation of McNemar test showed a change students' conceptions from misconceptions becomes unmisconceptions significantly. Remediation by applying the experimental method based scientific approach is effective to improved student misconceptions about vibration material in grade nine Junior High School for each concept with an average effectiveness rate is 0.74 (relatively high). Abstract

This research was conducted to reveal the science process skills of pre-service physics teacher. There were 241 students (64 men and 177 women) were given the science process skills test. Overall average science process skills score of students at 48.88 with a low category. There are seven aspects of the science process skills were revealed. The average score of predicting 41.55; classifying 41.76; interpreting data 49.37; hypothesize 49.48; plan experiments 50.26; observing 50.34 and apply concepts 59.43. Science process skills of male did not differ significantly with female (sig. 0.717> 0.05). The physic education courses need to improve science process skills of students. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji kelayakan tone generator sebagai pengganti sumber bunyi pada percobaan resonansi. Ada seratus data kecepatan bunyi yang dikumpulkan dari sepuluh frekuensi yang bervariasi. Diperoleh kecepatan bunyi di udara sebesar (332,02 ± 4,21) m/s dengan rata-rata akurasi sebesar 98,7%. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan tone generator layak digunakan pada eksperimen resonansi bunyi.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the correlation between students’ attitude and approach and achievement that involved 60 pre-service physics teachers of Tanjungpura University. A quantitative approach was applied to gather students’ attitude and approach data through problem solving survey (APESOFI) which consists of seven indicators: using representation, the role of the equation, checking the answers, the role of physics concepts, discussion and asking, problem solving strategies, and interested in solving the problem. The results show that the correlation between students’ attitude an approach and achievement is 0.24 (p = 0.06). Furthermore, one of indicator - problem solving strategies and students’ achievement – has significant correlation .33 (p = 0.01). Also, 70% of students have the same approach to experts while solving the problem. It indicates the problem solving strategies is one of the aspects that can affect students’ success to solve the problems. Accordingly, instructors should facilitate students with various strategies or approaches to problem solving. Keywords: APESOFI, correlation, problem solving strategies. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara sikap penyelesaian soal fisika dan hasil belajar mahasiswa calon guru fisika tahun pertama program studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Tanjungpura yang melibatkan 60 orang. Penelitian kuantitatif digunakan untuk memperoleh data sikap mahasiswa dengan memberikan Angket Penyelesaian Soal Fisika (APESOFI) dengan tujuh indikator: penggunaan representasi, peran matematika dan rumus, memeriksa kembali jawaban, peran konsep, berdiskusi dan bertanya, strategi penyelesaian soal, dan ketertarikan menyelesaikan soal. Kemudian nilai akhir mata kuliah Fisika Dasar dijadikan sebagai data hasil belajar. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa korelasi antara sikap dan hasil belajar 0,24 dengan p = 0,06. Selanjutnya, hubungan salah satu indikator yaitu strategi penyelesaian soal dengan hasil belajar menunjukkan korelasi yang signifikan yaitu 0,33 (p = 0,01). Selain itu, 70% mahasiswa memiliki sikap yang sesuai dengan strategi yang digunakan ahli dalam menyelesaikan soal. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa strategi penyelesaian soal merupakan salah satu yang menentukan keberhasilan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal. Dengan demikian pengajar atau dosen perlu memfasilitasi mahasiswa dengan beberapa strategi atau pendekatan dalam menyelesaikan soal. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a qualified diagnostic test that can be used to discover students’ misconceptions about energy in high school’s 10th graders. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the form of four tier test. The development of diagnostic test uses the adoption of Borg & Gall development steps that has been simplified into seven steps. The inisial design consists of twelve item of test of multiple choices. The trial step of this diagnostic test was done to 35 students in the in the small scale trial, and 91 students in the large scale trial. According to the data analysis, it can be concluded that the developed diagnostic test is qualified of the use to discover students’ misconceptions, because: 1) has higher validity than table validity, 2) has of reliabily of 0,783, 3) all items of the diagnostic can discover students’ misconceptions, 4) has a diffuculty index 0,38, 5) the level of readability of the questions 0,63. The qualified items that worth of use of this test are twelve items

Abstract

This research aims to examine students’ cognitive abilities in completing physics problem about momentum and impulses at SMA Kristen Immanuel Pontianak. The research uses survey method, by giving test that consists of 11th grader (53 male; 69 female). According to the result, it was found that the total average percentage of students’ cognitive abilities in general (C1-C4) was 69% and was categorized as medium. The highest average percentage of student cognitive ability was in the domain remembering (C1) with the percentage of 90% (high) and the lowest was in the domain of analyzing with the percentage of 53% (low). Furthermore, there was difference in students’ cognitive ability based on gender in domain of remembering (C1), that was recognized from the result of Mann-Whitney statistical test (0.004<0.05), which showed that significance value was below the probability value. This research is expected to be a guide and reference in developing learning strategies in physics problem to improve students’ cognitive abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konseptual siswa tentang energi berdasarkan analisis instrumen tes empat tingkat. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 91 siswa yang diambil melalui teknik purposive sampling dari kelas X tiga SMA Negeri di Pontianak. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik empat tingkat yang terdiri dari 12 pertanyaan pilihan ganda. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa indeks Aiken-v adalah 0,73. Reliabilitas instrumen sebesar 0,783 dan memiliki tingkat keterbacaan soal 0,63. Hasil yang diperoleh berdasarkan analisis uji diagnostik empat tingkat terdiri dari Siswa Paham konsep (33,2%), Paham sebagian (8,7%), Tidak paham konsep (12,6%), dan Miskonsepsi (45,4%).
