Abstract

This study aims to find out the influences of emotional intelligence on the learning outcomes of high school students. The method used in this study is a qualitative case study. The participants of this study were 48 high school students in Pekanbaru. The data was taken by administering a questionnaire to those participants. The data were analysed qualitatively. The result informed that students’ emotional intelligence affects learning outcomes. The results also showed that emotional intelligence can make some useful contributions to students’ learning outcomes at schools, such as making them spiritful in learning and being able to manage emotions so that they can achieve learning goals. This contribution is indeed influential. However, because the factors that affect learning outcomes themselves are quite complex, and are not included in this aspect of the study, further studies are recommended conduct.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 001 Langgini through the implementation of the Cooperative Learning Jigsaw model in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) during the odd semester of 2024. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with two cycles, each consisting of two meetings and including the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 14 students, consisting of 9 male and 5 female students. Data were collected using critical thinking tests, classroom observation of teacher and student activities, and documentation. The results indicated that the Jigsaw model effectively improved students’ critical thinking skills. In Cycle I, the classical completeness reached 43% with 6 students achieving the criteria, while in Cycle II it increased to 86% with 12 students completing the criteria. Observation data also showed an increase in students’ active involvement during the learning process. It can be concluded that the Cooperative Learning Jigsaw model is effective in enhancing the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 001 Langgini.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of concepts in the Pancasila Education subject through the implementation of instructional videos. The research was conducted as a Classroom Action Research (CAR) at Grade V of SDN 013 Kumantan over two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The research subjects were 12 students. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the use of instructional videos significantly enhanced students’ comprehension. In Cycle I, the percentage of students achieving mastery increased from 41.67% (pre-action) to 66.67%, and further increased to 100% in Cycle II. This improvement was also reflected in the students' average scores and active participation during the lessons. The conclusion of this research is that the use of instructional videos effectively and engagingly improves students’ understanding of Pancasila Education. Therefore, video-based learning media is highly recommended as an alternative tool to reinforce conceptual understanding and character education in primary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh literasi media dan kemandirian belajar terhadap keterampilan komunikasi siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen tipe nonequivalent control group design yang melibatkan 40 siswa kelas IV SDN 32 Mandau, terdiri atas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data keterampilan komunikasi dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi dan dianalisis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi yang lebih signifikan dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa integrasi literasi media dengan penguatan kemandirian belajar mampu mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif, percaya diri, dan efektif dalam menyampaikan gagasan. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperkaya kajian tentang hubungan literasi media dan kemandirian belajar dalam pengembangan keterampilan komunikasi siswa sekolah dasar. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bagi guru untuk merancang strategi pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan literasi media dan kemandirian belajar guna menciptakan pembelajaran yang komunikatif dan bermakna di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah terhadap profesionalisme guru dan kemampuan penggunaan media ajar Wordwall. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen melalui desain one group pretest–posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 20 guru di SDN 15 Mandau yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Paired Sample T-Test dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap profesionalisme guru serta kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan media ajar Wordwall. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan visioner tidak hanya berperan dalam penguatan sikap profesional guru, tetapi juga dalam peningkatan kompetensi pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperkaya kajian kepemimpinan pendidikan berbasis visi dan inovasi, sementara secara praktis memberikan implikasi bagi kepala sekolah untuk berperan aktif sebagai fasilitator dalam pengembangan profesional guru dan integrasi teknologi pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of principal leadership on interpersonal skills and the use of Canva media by teachers at SDN 6 Talang Muandau. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample in this study were all teachers at SDN 6 Talang Muandau, totaling 16 people. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires to 16 teachers who were respondents in this study and observation sheets. The research instrument includes three variables, namely principal leadership (X), interpersonal skills (Y₁), and use of Canva media (Y₂). Data analysis was carried out using IBM SPSS Statistic 25 through simple linear regression tests and partial t-tests. The results of the study showed that there was a positive and significant influence between principal leadership and teacher interpersonal skills, with a regression coefficient value of 0.984 and a significance value of 0.000 (0.05). In addition, principal leadership also had a positive and significant effect on the use of Canva media by teachers, with a regression coefficient value of 0.651 and a significance value of 0.030 (0.05). From these results, it can be concluded that the quality of the principal's leadership contributes directly to improving teachers' interpersonal skills and encouraging the use of digital media such as Canva in the learning process. This study recommends the importance of increasing the leadership capacity of principals and ongoing training for teachers in utilizing learning technology.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of principal supervision and managerial skills on teacher performance at SDN 43 Mandau. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques assisted by the SPSS program. The population in this study were 15 teachers at SDN 43 Mandau, sampling was carried out using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 15 teachers, consisting of 10 statement items for the principal supervision variable, 15 statement items for the principal managerial skills variable, and observation sheets for the teacher performance variable. The results showed that principal supervision had a significant effect on teacher performance with a significance value of 0.038 0.05. Likewise, the principal's managerial skills showed a significant effect on teacher performance with a significance value of 0.013 0.05. Simultaneously, both variables had a significant effect on teacher performance with a significance value of 0.001 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that principal supervision and managerial skills partially and simultaneously have an effect on improving teacher performance. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the better the principal's supervision and managerial skills, the higher the teacher's performance. The implication of this study is the need to strengthen the principal's capacity in the supervisory and managerial aspects as a strategic effort to improve the quality of learning and teacher professionalism in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Role Playing terhadap kreativitas dan kemandirian peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SDN 009 Pangkalan Kerinci. Masalah utama yang diangkat adalah kurangnya kreativitas dan kemandirian siswa dalam proses pembelajaran akibat penggunaan metode konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian deskriptif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari satu kelas yang diajar menggunakan model Role Play. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes kreativitas, angket kemandirian, serta lembar observasi yang telah divalidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang sangat besar penggunaan mode Role Play terhadap peningkatan kreativitas dan kemandirian peserta didik. Pembelajaran melalui Role Play memungkinkan siswa untuk berimajinasi, berekspresi, dan bekerja sama secara aktif, sehingga menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif dan mendorong pengembangan diri siswa. Oleh karena itu, model Role Play disarankan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar untuk mendukung keterampilan abad ke21.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah suatu usaha yang dilakukan dalam rangka mengajar, membimbing, mengarahkan dan meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Salah satu masalah yang muncul dalam dunia pendidikan saat ini yaitu rendahnya minat belajar siswa yang menyebabkan menurunnya prestasi siswa. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode demonstrasi terhadap minat belajar siswa, serta mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam mengidentifikasi masalah dalam pelajaran IPA. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan uji pra-pasca kelompok tunggal. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 01 Kerinci Kanan berjumlah 15 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai siswa dalam mengidentifikasi masalah meningkat dari 52,93 (pretest) menjadi 72,27 (protest), dan rata-rata minat belajar siswa meningkat dari 27,72 (pretest) menjadi 37,07 (postest). Hasil uji N-gain pada uji kemampuan siswa dalam mengidentifikasi masalah sebesar 82,14% dengan rata-rata 40,02, dan uji minat belajar siswa sebesar 27,03% dengan rata-rata 13,42. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode demonstrasi memberikan pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan mengidentifikasi masalah dan meningkatkan minat belajar siswa.
