Abstract

The development of vocational education demands innovation that can effectively connect theory and practice. This study examines the implementation of the Honda Gamification Program in theoretical and practical learning at a Vocational High School majoring in Motorcycle Engineering. The method used was qualitative, with a literature review of various journals, books, and academic documents related to gamification, learning motivation, and student competency. The results showed that gamification, through the elements of points, levels, challenges, and rewards, increased student motivation, active participation, and skill mastery. The application of gamification also helped create a more challenging and enjoyable learning environment. These findings provide a basis for teachers and schools to integrate gamification into vocational learning strategies that align with industry needs.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk merefleksikan konsep difusi dan inovasi dalam pembelajaran pada sekolah menengah sebagai respon terhadap dinamika perubahan pendidikan di era transformasi global. Metode yang digunakan adalah narrative literature review dengan pendekatan reflektif terhadap hasil-hasil penelitian dan kajian teoretis yang relevan, khususnya terkait teori difusi inovasi dan implementasinya dalam praktik pendidikan. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber literatur ilmiah berupa artikel jurnal dan buku rujukan yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis melalui sintesis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola, tantangan, dan implikasi inovasi pembelajaran. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi pembelajaran tidak dapat dilepaskan dari proses difusi yang dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik inovasi, saluran komunikasi, sistem sosial, dan faktor waktu. Refleksi terhadap praktik di sekolah menengah menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan inovasi pembelajaran sangat ditentukan oleh kesiapan pendidik, dukungan kelembagaan, serta kesesuaian inovasi dengan konteks peserta didik. Artikel ini menegaskan bahwa difusi inovasi pembelajaran bukan sekadar proses teknis, tetapi merupakan proses sosial yang memerlukan strategi terencana dan berkelanjutan. Temuan reflektif ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan konseptual bagi pendidik dan pengambil kebijakan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah menengah. Abstract

This study aims to address the problem of post-divorce population document validation, which is still carried out manually and is prone to errors and delays. The proposed approach is the development of a document validation system using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for data extraction and Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) for relationship-based access management. The research dataset consisted of 122 identity documents in JPG, PNG, and PDF formats that had undergone anonymization and preprocessing stages, including grayscale conversion and noise removal. The testing results showed that the OCR system achieved matching rates of 74.59% for the National Identification Number (NIK) attribute, 89.34% for the name attribute, and 75.41% for the address attribute, with an average match score of 84.65%. In addition, ReBAC testing demonstrated a 100% success rate across 32 testing scenarios in preventing unauthorized access based on inter-entity relationships. These results indicate that the developed system is capable of improving efficiency, accuracy, and security in the post-divorce population document validation process.

Abstract

Childhood immunization is essential for preventing vaccine-preventable diseases, yet immunization decisions in primary healthcare are often affected by false contraindications, inconsistent guideline interpretation, and dynamic clinical conditions. This study developed and evaluated an Explainable Clinical Decision Support System (X-CDSS) that integrates rule-based reasoning, dynamic clinical variables, and explainable rule traceability to provide transparent, guideline-compliant immunization recommendations. A Research and Development (R&D) approach with iterative prototyping was employed. Knowledge from the Indonesian national immunization guideline, scientific literature, field observations, and healthcare professionals was formalized into 35 IF–THEN production rules implemented using a forward-chaining inference mechanism in a web-based application. The system was evaluated through functional testing, clinical validation using 40 representative scenarios, performance evaluation, and User Acceptance Testing involving seven healthcare professionals. The proposed system achieved an accuracy of 92.5%, precision of 96.6%, recall of 93.3%, an F1-score of 94.9%, and a Cohen's Kappa coefficient of 0.81, with an overall usability score of 4.3/5.0. These findings demonstrate that the proposed X-CDSS provides reliable, transparent, and clinically accountable decision support for routine childhood immunization in primary healthcare.

Abstract

Digitalisasi presensi staf pada fasilitas kesehatan primer diperlukan untuk meningkatkan akurasi, efisiensi administrasi, dan akuntabilitas kehadiran. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan prototipe sistem presensi staf Puskesmas Kota Tais berbasis pengenalan wajah dengan mengintegrasikan algoritma Haar Cascade untuk deteksi wajah dan Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) untuk pengenalan identitas. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah prototype dengan tahapan communication, quick plan, modeling, construction of prototype, serta deployment and feedback. Sistem dibangun berbasis web dengan dua peran pengguna, yaitu admin dan staf, serta didukung pipeline pengenalan wajah yang mencakup deteksi wajah, validasi kualitas citra dan deteksi mata sebagai lapisan anti-spoofing, pra-pemrosesan Tan-Triggs, Difference of Gaussian, dan CLAHE, serta pengenalan LBPH dengan konfigurasi radius 2, neighbors 12, grid_x 8, dan grid_y 8. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengenali wajah staf terdaftar pada kondisi pencahayaan normal dengan skor kepercayaan 85,27%–85,60%, melampaui threshold 75%. Pada skenario impostor, skor turun menjadi 39,43%, sehingga akses berhasil ditolak. Pengujian blackbox terhadap 22 skenario mencatat keberhasilan fungsional 100%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Haar Cascade dan LBPH layak digunakan sebagai solusi presensi digital yang responsif, contactless, dan akuntabel pada lingkungan Puskesmas. The digitization of staff attendance in primary healthcare facilities is necessary to improve recording accuracy, administrative efficiency, and attendance accountability. This study aimed to design and implement a face-recognition-based attendance prototype for staff at Tais City Public Health Center by integrating Haar Cascade for face detection and Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) for identity recognition. The system was developed using the prototype method, consisting of communication, quick planning, modeling, prototype construction, and deployment and feedback. The web-based system supports two user roles, namely administrator and staff, and applies a layered face-recognition pipeline that includes face detection, image-quality validation, eye detection as an anti-spoofing layer, Tan-Triggs preprocessing, Difference of Gaussian, CLAHE, and LBPH recognition with radius 2, neighbors 12, grid_x 8, and grid_y 8. The test results showed that the system recognized registered staff faces under normal lighting conditions with confidence scores of 85.27%–85.60%, exceeding the 75% acceptance threshold. In the impostor scenario, the confidence score dropped to 39.43%, and access was successfully rejected. Blackbox testing on 22 functional scenarios produced a 100% success rate. These findings indicate that the integration of Haar Cascade and LBPH is feasible as a responsive, contactless, and accountable digital attendance solution for a public health center environment.

Abstract

Pengelolaan kuliah umum di perguruan tinggi sering menghadapi kelemahan pada pendaftaran, presensi, dan rekapitulasi kehadiran karena proses manual belum mampu menjamin validitas lokasi peserta. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem informasi kuliah umum berbasis web yang mengintegrasikan pendaftaran peserta, presensi geolokasi, dan monitoring kehadiran dengan validasi jarak menggunakan algoritma Haversine dan Geofencing. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan rekayasa perangkat lunak deskriptif dengan model Waterfall melalui tahap analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Sistem dikembangkan dengan ReactJS pada frontend, Express.js pada backend, dan MySQL sebagai basis data. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa sistem berhasil menyatukan modul mahasiswa dan admin dalam satu alur: mahasiswa dapat melihat kegiatan, mendaftar, melakukan presensi berbasis lokasi, dan meninjau riwayat; admin dapat mengelola kegiatan, ruangan, sesi presensi, pengguna, serta monitoring kehadiran. Validasi lokasi menggunakan Haversine membedakan presensi valid dan tidak valid berdasarkan radius; pada uji TC-11, presensi dalam radius 50 m dengan jarak sekitar 19,59 m diterima sebagai hadir, sedangkan presensi di luar radius ditolak. Pengujian black-box terhadap 20 skenario menghasilkan 20 skenario berhasil (100%). Kebaruan penelitian terletak pada integrasi pendaftaran, konfigurasi radius, validasi Haversine-Geofencing, device token anti-titip absen, dan monitoring presensi dalam konteks kuliah umum non-rutin. Public lecture management in higher education often suffers from fragmented registration, manual attendance, and slow recapitulation because conventional processes cannot verify the physical presence of participants. This study aims to design a web-based public lecture information system integrating participant registration, geolocation-based attendance, and attendance monitoring using the Haversine algorithm and Geofencing for distance validation. The study adopted a descriptive software engineering approach with the Waterfall model, covering requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was implemented using ReactJS for the frontend, Express.js for the backend, and MySQL for data management. The findings show that the system integrates student and administrator workflows in a single platform: students can browse events, register, submit location-based attendance, and view participation history, while administrators can manage events, rooms, attendance sessions, users, and monitoring dashboards. The Haversine-based validation successfully distinguished valid and invalid attendance according to the configured radius; in test case TC-11, an attendance attempt within a 50 m radius at approximately 19.59 m was accepted, whereas out-of-radius attempts were rejected. Black-box testing across 20 scenarios resulted in 20 successful scenarios (100%). The novelty lies in integrating registration, configurable attendance radius, Haversine-Geofencing validation, anti-proxy attendance through device tokens, and real-time monitoring for non-routine academic public lectures.

Abstract

Pengujian perangkat lunak merupakan tahap penting untuk memastikan bahwa sistem informasi dapat berjalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi tingkat penerimaan pengguna terhadap Sistem Informasi Manajemen Operasional Studio Foto berbasis client-server yang dikembangkan pada Monoframe Studio. Sistem yang diuji mendukung proses operasional berupa pengelolaan paket layanan, booking, penjadwalan, pembayaran, pembagian fotografer dan editor, akses link hasil foto, permintaan edit, pemesanan cetak, review, serta tracking progres layanan. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode User Acceptance Testing (UAT) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Responden penelitian berjumlah 14 pengguna akhir yang terdiri dari 1 admin, 1 front office, 1 fotografer, 1 editor, dan 10 klien. Instrumen pengujian terdiri dari 22 butir pernyataan yang dikelompokkan dalam empat aspek, yaitu kemudahan pengguna, kepuasan pengguna, fungsionalitas sistem, dan kinerja sistem. Kuesioner menggunakan skala Likert lima tingkat dengan bobot 1 (Tidak Setuju) hingga 5 (Sangat Setuju). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menghitung skor aktual (total bobot jawaban responden pada setiap aspek) dan skor ideal (jumlah responden × bobot tertinggi × jumlah butir pernyataan). Persentase kelayakan setiap aspek dihitung menggunakan rumus: (Skor Aktual / Skor Ideal) × 100%. Hasil persentase kemudian diinterpretasikan ke dalam kategori kelayakan, di mana nilai 81%–100% termasuk kategori sangat layak/sangat diterima, 61%–80% kategori layak/diterima, 41%–60% kategori cukup layak, 21%–40% kategori kurang layak, dan 0%–20% kategori tidak layak. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aspek kemudahan pengguna memperoleh 89,52%, kepuasan pengguna 91,79%, fungsionalitas sistem 88,93%, dan kinerja sistem 88,21%. Nilai keseluruhan UAT mencapai 89,48% dengan kategori sangat layak/sangat diterima. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah secara praktis, sistem informasi yang telah teruji UAT dapat segera diimplementasikan untuk menggantikan proses manual yang tersebar di berbagai platform (WhatsApp, Google Form, Google Calendar, Google Drive, dan spreadsheet), sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, mempercepat alur layanan dari booking hingga penyerahan hasil foto, serta mengurangi risiko kesalahan pencatatan dan double booking. Secara teoritis, penelitian ini memperkuat bukti empiris bahwa kombinasi metode UAT dengan aspek evaluasi berbasis ISO 9126 (usability, functionality, dan performance) serta penambahan aspek kepuasan pengguna dapat menjadi model evaluasi yang efektif untuk sistem informasi multi-role di lingkungan usaha jasa skala kecil dan menengah. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sistem telah memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna dan layak digunakan untuk mendukung manajemen operasional Monoframe Studio.

Abstract

Students with mild intellectual disabilities often face challenges in understanding abstract concepts and require specialized learning tools that support visual and interactive engagement. This study aimed to develop and evaluate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of a Canva-based Interactive Learning Multimedia (ILM) designed specifically for vocational culinary education at SLB Negeri 1 Padang. Employing the Research and Development (R&D) method, this study involved expert validation, user practicality testing, and effectiveness analysis using quantitative techniques. Content and media validation were conducted by six experts using the Aiken’s V formula, practicality was assessed by one teacher and five students through questionnaires, and effectiveness was tested using normality, homogeneity, T-test, and effect size calculations with SPSS 27. The findings revealed that the ILM was highly valid, with average Aiken’s V scores of 0.97 (material experts) and 0.92 (media experts). Practicality scores from both students (3.87) and teachers (3.85) classified the media as very practical. Statistical analysis showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The T-test results demonstrated a significant difference in learning outcomes (t = 4.382 > t-table = 2.306; p < 0.05), indicating the effectiveness of the media. Furthermore, the effect size (Cohen's d = 2.8) suggested a very large effect on student performance. In conclusion, the Canva-based Interactive Learning Multimedia is a valid, practical, and highly effective tool to enhance vocational learning outcomes for students with mild intellectual disabilities. This innovation is recommended for broader implementation and further development in inclusive education settings.

Abstract

Teaching Factory (TEFA) is a production-based learning model that integrates industry competencies into the learning process in vocational schools. This study aims to analyze the inhibiting factors for establishing a Teaching Factory in the Design Modeling and Building Information (DPIB) expertise concentration at SMKN 4 Palembang. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Research subjects included the Head of DPIB Expertise Concentration, 8 productive teachers, 1 toolman, and school policy documents. The results show five main categories of inhibiting factors: (1) Technical constraints in the form of limited quantities and adequate computer specifications for BIM applications, as well as limited industrial software licenses; (2) HR constraints with teacher competencies who have not mastered integrated BIM workflows and limited numbers of certified construction teachers; (3) Managerial constraints include the lack of a TEFA Core Team and difficulties in integrating learning schedules with TEFA projects; (4) Financial constraints with an initial investment budget gap of IDR 300,000,000 exceeding routine school fund allocations; (5) Industry collaboration constraints in the form of difficulties in building consistent formal partnerships for TEFA projects. This study recommends establishing a TEFA Core Team, improving teacher competence through BIM training, applying for funding through the SMK PK program or corporate CSR, and strengthening partnerships with local consultants and contractors. Keywords: Teaching Factory, DPIB, Vocational School, Inhibiting Factors, BIM.
