Abstract

Abstrak Metode pembelajaran dapat mendukung hasil belajar siswa, diantaranya metode giving question and getting answer dan learning start with a question. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa menggunakan metode giving question and getting answer dan learning start with a question terhadap siswa kelas X MAN Baraka. Pengabdian ini menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Dalam menentukan sampel digunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 60 siswa dari 2 kelas yang diambil dari 4 kelas dengan siswa sebanyak 126 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes berupa pretest dan posttest yang berbentuk esai. Soal disusun dengan mengacu pada aspek kognitif yang akan dinilai, yaitu C1, C2, C3, dan C4. Data dianalisis dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Dengan menggunakan uji independent sample test diperoleh signifikan sebesar 0,010 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat komparasi hasil belajar matematika siswa menggunakan metode giving question and getting answer dan learning start with a question terhadap siswa kelas X MAN Baraka. Abstract Learning methods can support student learning outcomes, including methods of giving questions and getting answers and learning start with a question. This purpose of this service to determine students' mathematics learning outcomes using the method of giving questions and getting answers and learning start with a question to class X students of MAN Baraka. This research is a quasi experimental research design using pretest-posttest control group design. In determining the sample used purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 60 students from 2 classes taken from 4 classes with 126 students. The data in this study were collected through tests in the form of a pretest and posttest in the form of an essay. The questions were arranged with reference to the cognitive aspects to be assessed, namely C1, C2, C3, and C4. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics. By using the independent sample test, it was obtained a significant value of 0.010 which indicates that there is a comparison of students' mathematics learning outcomes using the method of giving questions and getting answers and learning start with a question to class X students of MAN Baraka.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK (Visualization Auditory Kinestetic) dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran AIR (Auditory Intellectually Repetition) pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Gowa. Pengabdian ini berbasis penelitian menggunakan equivalent time series design. Pada pengabdian ini, kelas VIII 4 dan kelas VIII 5 sebagai subjek sosialisasi I dan II yang masing-masing terdiri dari 37 siswa. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial menggunakan uji-t untuk sampel independen (independent sample t-test). Dari hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran VAK dan AIR cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa sedangkan berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,183. Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa sign > ∝ yaitu 0,183 > 0,025 sehingga H0 diterima atau dengan melihat nilai ????ℎ???????????????????? sebesar 1,345 maka jika dibandingkan dengan ???????????????????????? (????(0,025,46)) sebesar 2,028 maka −???????????????????????? ≤ ????ℎ???????????????????? ≤ ???????????????????????? atau −2,028 ≤ 1,345 ≤ 2,012 artinya H0 diterima atau disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar matematika antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK (Visualization Auditory Kinestetic) dengan model pembelajaran AIR (Auditory Intellectually Repetition) pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Gowa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process and results of module development based on the REACT strategy assisted by flipbook makers on class VII flat construction material that is valid, practical, and effective so that it is feasible to use. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The results showed that the validity criteria based on the validation results by the validator team was 3.68 in the "very valid" category. The practicality criteria were obtained based on the results of the questionnaire analysis of the teacher's response to the module by 91% in the "very positive" category and the observation of the teacher's ability to manage learning was 4.53 in the "good" category. From the two analysis results, the REACT strategy-based module met the practicality criteria. The results of the effectiveness criteria were obtained based on the results of the student response questionnaire analysis of 89.8% in the "very positive" category, observation of student activity during the learning process by 82% in the "very good" category, and the learning achievement test obtained completeness of 89%. so that the measurement results for effectiveness criteria are met. Thus it can be concluded that the REACT strategy-based module using the flipbook maker is feasible to be applied in the learning process.

Abstract

This test is known as an evaluation tool or test instrument in the form of questions that are prepared in accordance with learning indicators. A lecturer should be able to provide questions that can trigger students to think at a higher level so that they can be more optimal in achieving learning objectives. This study aims to produce HOTS-based test instruments with Islamic characters by looking at the development procedures and quality of HOTS-based test instruments with Islamic characters developed. The type of development used is research research and development (RD), namely the development of test instruments for linear algebra courses. The development model used is a formative research (Tessmer) model which goes through 4 stages, namely preliminary, self-evaluation, prototyping (expert review, one to one, small group), and field test. The test subjects in this study were students of mathematics education class PMAT B, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Alauddin Makassar with a total of 33 students. Based on the results of the trials conducted, it was obtained that: (1) the test instrument was declared "valid" with a very suitable category, the test instrument was declared reliable with a very high category (reliable), the test instrument had a fairly good difficulty level with a moderate category, the test instrument had a good distinguishing power with a good category. Thus, the test instruments of the HOTS-based elementary linear algebra course with Islamic characters are of good quality. Therefore, HOTS-based test instruments with Islamic characters can be used as evaluation tools in the form of exercises, quizzes, and semester exams to measure students' higher order thinking skills.Tes ini dikenal dengan istilah alat evaluasi atau instrumen tes berupa soal-soal yang disusun sesuai dengan indikator pembelajaran. Seorang dosen hendaknya mampu memberikan soal-soal yang dapat memicu mahasiswa untuk berpikir tingkat tinggi agar dapat lebih optimal dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan instrumen tes berbasis HOTS bermuatan karakter islami dengan melihat prosedur pengembangan dan kualitas instrumen tes berbasis HOTS bermuatan karakter islami yang dikembangkan. Jenis pengembangan yang digunakan ada-lah penelitian research and development (RD) yaitu pengembangan instrumen tes mata kuliah aljabar linear. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model formative research (Tessmer) yang melalui 4 tahap yaitu preliminary, self evaluation, prototyping (expert review, one to one, small group), dan field test. Subjek uji coba pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika kelas PMAT B, Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan, UIN Alauddin Makassar dengan jumlah 33 mahasiswa.. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba yang dilakukan, diperoleh bahwa: (1) instrumen tes dinyatakan “valid” dengan kategori sangat sesuai, instrumen tes dinyatakan reliabel dengan kategori sangat tinggi (reliabel), instrumen tes memiliki tingkat kesukaran yang cukup baik dengan kategori sedang, instrumen tes memiliki daya pembeda yang baik dengan kategori baik. Dengan demikian, instrumen tes mata kuliah aljabar linear elementer berbasis HOTS bermuatan karakter islami memiliki kualitas yang baik. . Oleh karena itu, Instrumen tes berbasis HOTS bermuatan karakter islami dapat digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi berupa latihan, kuis, dan ujian semester untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process and analyze the quality of the HOTS-type test instrument development on flat side space and measure students' higher-order thinking skills. This type of research is research and development with the Formative Research (Tessmeer) model. The test subjects in this study were class XI.3 students at SMP Negeri 30 Makassar, totaling 30 students. Based on the research results, it is known that 1) the development process using the Formative Research (Tessmeer) model through 4 stages, namely the preliminary stage, the self-evaluation stage, the prototyping stage, and the field test stage. 2) the quality of test development is declared valid with a CVR (Content Validity Index) value, the average total score is 1 with a very appropriate category or is in the interval 0.68-1.00, practically based on the results of the questionnaire analysis of student responses 89.07% with the response category "Very Positive”, reliable with an average of 0.752 and 0.866 in the high category (reliable), the average difficulty level of the total score is 0.69 and 0.49 in the medium category, and the different power of the average total score is 0.42 and 0.49 in the good category. 3) students' critical thinking ability averaged 67.61, which was in the good category. Thus, this HOTS-type test instrument can be used to measure students' high-order thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian non equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 20 Bulukumba yang berjumlah 216 orang dan sampelnya adalah kelas VIIIA kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIG kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa berupa tes dengan menggunakan soal isian sebanyak 5 item. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial, yakni menggunakan independent sample t-test. Hasil belajar matematika pada kelas kontrol tanpa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 34,58 dan nilai rata–rata posttest sebesar 72,23, sedangkan hasil belajar matematika pada kelas eksperimen dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 33,77 dan rata-rata posttest sebesar 77,85. Uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t, yakni independent sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two dengan yang diajar tanpa menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 20 Bulukumba.

Abstract

Pengembangan media berbasis android sebagai media pembelajaran untuk siswa sekolah menengah pertama dilatarbelakangi oleh masih kurangnya media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan khususnya dalam bidang matematika yang mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Pengembangan media pembelajaran ini menggunakan Macromedia Flash Professional, Corel Draw x4 dan Microsoft power point . Ketiga aplikasi ini yang digunakan untuk mengolah tampilan menu yang akan dimasukkan ke dalam media pembelajaran. Media ini diharapkan mampu memudahkan peserta didik dalam mempelajari materi bangun datar. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan dengan mengadopsi model pengembangan Alessi dan Trolip. Adapun langkah-angkah pengembangannya yaitu: perencanaan, desain, dan pengembangan. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Sinjai. Uji coba dalam penelitian ini dilakukan sebayak dua kali yaitu uji coba skala kecil yang melibatkan 3 orang siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Sinjai dan uji coba skala besar yang melibatkan seluruh siswa pada kelas kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Sinjai. Instrument penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang telah dibuat dinilai layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan standar kelayakan lebih besar dari 70%.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy ability is an ability that can be measured in PISA (Programme for International Student Assesment), one of the contents studied is uncertainty and data (Uncertainly and data). This study aims to describe the learning obstacles experienced by students in uncertainty material content and PISA-based data. This research is a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach using didactical design (Didactical Design Research) didactic situation analysis stage before learning (prospective analysis). This research was conducted at SMP Pesantren Guppi Samata class VIII with a sample of 16 students using a test instrument in the form of 5 points of description questions and non-tests in the form of observation guidelines. Mathematical literacy indicators used in this study are Communication, Mathematising, Representation, Reasoning and argument, Devising strategies for solving problems, Using symbolic, formal , technical language and operations (Using symbolic, formal, technical and operating language), and Using mathematical tools. The results of this study include: 1) difficulties in understanding the problem; 2) Difficulty in formulating problems; 3) Difficulty in understanding the meaning of the problem; and 4) Difficulty in drawing conclusions. So that the obstacles faced by students are ontogenic obstacles and epistemological obstacles.

Abstract

Somba Opu Fortress, located in Gowa, South Sulawesi, is a historical site with a significant role in the history of the Gowa-Tallo Kingdom. The construction and architectural design of this structure reflect geometric elements, providing an opportunity to explore the concept of ethnomathematics. This research aims to delve into ethnomathematical concepts at Somba Opu Fortress and understand their connection to mathematics learning, particularly in the field of geometry.The research employs an ethnographic approach with qualitative descriptive research. The study is conducted at Somba Opu Fortress in Gowa, South Sulawesi. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the fortress exhibits striking geometric structures, including elements such as squares, triangles, circles, and parallelograms. The roofs of the buildings resemble triangles and rectangular pyramids, while the fortress walls contain geometric elements with variations in materials. The study highlights the rich ethnomathematical aspects of Somba Opu Fortress and their relevance to the broader context of mathematics education, specifically within the realm of geometry.

Abstract

The success of students in completing their study program is indicated by the achievements reflected in their Grade Point Average (GPA). Grade Point Average (GPA) is expressed in numerical form and is an academic achievement calculated based on all courses taken in all semesters that have been passed by students. This study aims to obtain a model of external factors that affect Grade Point Average (GPA) and variables that affect Grade Point Average (GPA). The response variable in this study is Grade Point Average (GPA) which is categorical and divided into two categories. The method used is binary logistic regression analysis. This study used primary data with the research subjects being second, third, and fourth-semester students in the Mathematics Education Department of Alauddin Makassar State Islamic University. The indicators on the instrument can be categorized as valid and reliable to measure service variables, learning, facilities and infrastructure, and student interest in entering college. The results of binary logistic regression analysis show that service has a significant effect on Grade Point Average (GPA), besides that learning, facilities, infrastructure, and the number of students enrolling in college have an effect but are not significant on Grade Point Average (GPA).
