Abstract

This research aims to explore student recruitment strategies based on the quality of Islamic educational services and their implications. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data was analyzed using the Miles & Huberman interactive model, with service quality strategies analyzed through five ServQual dimensions that were reconceptualized within an Islamic values framework, measured using core service indicators whose results were then contextualized for their ethical accountability with Islamic values. Research findings indicate that incorporating Islamic values into ServQual dimensions produces progressive and comprehensive service strategy formulations. This approach successfully constructs a holistic educational ecosystem that is adaptive to students' academic, spiritual, and emotional needs. This research also presents recommendations for a comprehensive approach in measuring Islamic values-based educational service quality mechanisms. Strategic implications of this implementation include improvements in both academic and non-academic student achievement, an inclusive learning environment, strengthened institutional reputation, increased stakeholder satisfaction, and consistent increases in the number of applicants.

Abstract

Abstract

This paper aims to describe learning leadership in building a culture of information technology and utilizing it to improve the quality of elementary school organizations based on digital developments in Indonesia. This article uses a qualitative approach with a multi-case study method. Data were obtained from key informants, elementary school documents and books, as well as journals and articles that support the research on learning leadership in building a culture of information technology in the digital era. The findings show that principal’s leadership plays a central role, not only by issuing policies but also by modeling, guiding teachers, and fostering collaboration that integrates technology into daily learning practices. This leadership focus transforms technology use into a sustainable school culture rather than a temporary response to the pandemic. The use of information technology is not only carried out in learning, but academic activities and school management have also begun to incorporate digital-based information technology. The learning leadership of school principals can be seen in their role in organizing the acculturation of information technology utilization through school policies and activity programs, especially in developing learning activities. Limitations include the fact that learning in the classroom is not fully digital-based, as elementary school learning still prioritizes face-to-face interactions between teachers and students. This study develops its setting and orientation by emphasizing leadership values in educational management. The study highlights the importance of the learning leadership of school principals in developing learning innovations at their schools, especially in the development of a digital-based information technology culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of Qur'an memorization through the application of Ilqa’ Mufradat, as some memorizers use vocabulary as cues to facilitate memorization and enhance their understanding of Arabic. The Ilqa’ Mufradat method is a learning approach that integrates the mastery of Arabic vocabulary into the Qur'an memorization process. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources consist of the Ilqa’ Mufradat instructor, halaqah (Qur’anic study circle) teacher, Arabic language instructor, and the students. The results of the study show that the implementation of Ilqa’ Mufradat involves planning, execution, and evaluation stages. A structured application of Ilqa’ Mufradat has been shown to improve students’ understanding and retention of memorized verses. This is evident from the Arabic vocabulary sessions and evaluations, which indicate that the students’ average scores exceed the minimum competency standard—namely, scores above seven. The students' Qur'an memorization is considered good, as shown by their achievement of the monthly target of one juz per month.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the process of internalizing students’ religious character through activity-based programs at MI PAS Baitul Qur’an Gontor Ponorogo. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the internalization of students’ religious character is carried out through several key stages: (1) discipline, by implementing “teng komando” rules, as well as a system of punishment and reward; (2) habituation, through daily routines such as congregational prayers, Qur’an memorization (tahfidz), and the 6S culture (smile, greet, salute, polite, and ready); (3) exemplary practice, by positioning teachers and all school stakeholders as role models who consistently demonstrate positive behavior; and (4) creation of a conducive environment, supported by adequate facilities and educational media such as “talking walls” and consistent enforcement of discipline among all school members. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating that an activity-based internalization process significantly shapes students’ religious character. The outcomes include improved discipline in daily life, enhanced independence in various activities, the development of politeness in behavior and communication, the practice of honesty in interactions, and a stronger sense of personal responsibility.

The method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis ethnographic design, which involves semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The subjects of the research were the mentor teacher, and students. Data analysis followed three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results showed that Madrasah Intra Student Organization (OSIM: Organisasi Siswa Intra Madrasah) activities play an important role in shaping student leadership character, with a focus on developing religiosity, moderation, honesty, trustworthy cooperation, and social care. Students who are actively involved in the OSIM experience improvements in communication skills, decision-making, and self-confidence. In addition, students also show better behaviour in social and academic interactions and are able to apply Islamic values in daily life. The conclusion of this study confirms that the internalization of Islamic leadership character values through the OSIM is effective in forming a young generation with integrity and noble character. Therefore, it is recommended that educational institutions continue to integrate Islamic values into the curriculum and extracurricular activities and provide greater support to coaches in implementing effective internalization strategies. Thus, it is hoped that the younger generation will not only excel in academic aspects but also have a strong commitment to Islamic values so that they are able to face future challenges with high integrity and social responsibility.

Abstract

This study analyses the Islamic educational thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan and KH Hasyim Asy'ari and their relevance to the renewal of contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia. Through a qualitative-descriptive approach based on literature study, this study examines the values, structures, and philosophical meanings of the thoughts of the two figures. The study results show that KH Ahmad Dahlan emphasised integrating religious knowledge and general knowledge in a curriculum that is adaptive to the development of the times. In contrast, KH Hasyim Asy'ari emphasised the importance of spirituality, sincerity, and character formation through Islamic boarding school education. Both agree that Islamic education must instil the values of faith, knowledge, and real deeds as the foundation for forming a superior generation. This study concludes that the integration of the rational-modern thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan and the spiritual-conservative thoughts of KH Hasyim Asy'ari can be the basis for developing a contextual, integrative, and adaptive Islamic education model to the challenges of modernity without losing its Islamic identity. The researchers expect that this finding will provide a practical contribution to the reconstruction of the Islamic education system in Indonesia to address the persistent dualism between modernity and traditionalism.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Amaliyatu-t-Tadris activities on the professionalism of prospective teachers at Kulliyyatul Mu’allimat Al-Islamiyah. The research was motivated by the increasing need for qualified teachers in Indonesia and the crucial role of Islamic boarding schools in preparing future educators. Using a quantitative approach with a regression design, primary data were collected from final-year students through a four-point Likert-scale questionnaire. The findings indicate that all items in the questionnaire were valid and reliable, with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.923 for Amaliyatu-t-Tadris and 0.915 for teacher professionalism. The Pearson correlation test revealed a strong positive relationship between Amaliyatu-t-Tadris activities and teacher professionalism (r = 0.811, p < 0.01). The regression analysis further showed that Amaliyatu-t-Tadris accounted for 65.8% of the variance in prospective teachers’ professionalism. These results demonstrate that structured microteaching practices embedded in Amaliyatu-t-Tadris effectively enhance pedagogical competence, classroom management, communication skills, and professional ethics. The study highlights the significance of integrating practice-based training into teacher education programs in Islamic institutions to cultivate professionalism and educational quality.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon of the lack of application of learning methods carried out. However, the demonstration method which is one of the best methods has received less attention and lack of development. This is marked by the number of people who in learning make noise, indifferent and busy themselves by not responding to what is taught by educators. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Qur'an Tilawatil learning demonstration method and to describe efforts to increase motivation to learn Tilawatil Qur'an, using a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The results of this study the mentoring team stated that efforts to increase motivation to learn tartilul qur'an with this demonstration method were based on the orientation to make learning effective, efficient and relevant to the community. Efforts to increase this motivation are generally carried out in two ways, first, through direct demonstrations both in the form of recordings and from direct educators, including through "praying prayer before and after lessons, giving stimulus and advice, giving reprimands". Second, through direct application or direct training to the community. Among them are through "reading recitations in congregation, commemorating Islamic holidays, life skills".
