Abstract

This research presents a study on the implementation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in the context of vocational education in the era of independent learning, emphasizing self-directed learning. Through qualitative descriptive methods and literature review analysis, this study highlights the transformation of conventional teaching paradigms into more dynamic, creative approaches focused on developing students' problem-solving skills. The research findings confirm the improvement of students' competencies, including planning, design, reflection, construction, and modification aspects of STEM projects. Another significant discovery is that integrating STEM with other teaching models such as Project-Based Learning (PjBL) or Problem-Based Learning (PBL) effectively enhances students' critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills regardless of gender. In conclusion, the implementation of STEM education not only prepares vocational education students to face the challenges of the 21st century and the era of independent learning but also stimulates students' interest and engagement in learning, promotes inclusivity, and enhances the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Advances in technology go hand in hand with innovation in the industry, so teachers must prepare students to satisfy industry needs. Teacher apprenticeship is a program that must be implemented in order to improve teacher competence. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a multicase study type. Research on Islamic Vocational School 1 Blitar City and Veterans Vocational School 1 Tulungagung. Based on the findings, the implementation of teacher apprenticeship cannot be separated from the collaboration that exists between SMK and industry. The cooperation includes planning, implementation, evaluation and certification. Teacher internships can be carried out because schools provide support to teachers and industry which always provide opportunities. Obstacles in the implementation of teacher internships exist in the implementation time which must adjust the teacher's teaching hours, so that the implementation time is limited or waiting for holidays.

Abstract

A teacher is required to be able to develop competence and update the latest information technology. One form of technology update that can be done by teachers is participating in training programs.. This research uses a qualitative approach by carrying out the type of case study research. The results showed that training planning can be done in several stages. The first stage is the administrative and scheme preparation stage carried out by the committee together with representatives from PT Daihatsu East Java. The implementation of training begins with the socialization of the industrial curriculum, in this program teachers are introduced to industrial competencies which are used as material for curriculum alignment. The next training is the assessment of prospective competency test assessors. The process of becoming a competency test assessor involves several important stages. Prospective assessors must take part in training and examinations organized by PT Daihatsu in the Pintar Bersama Daihatsu (PBD) program. The final result of the assessment of prospective assessors is proven by an assessor certificate that can be used to guarantee the quality of student graduation when conducting competency tests at school.

Abstract

Abstrak: [Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah (1) Menghasilkan teknologi tepat guna berupa Mesin Kombinasi Pengayak, Pemadatan & Pemasukan Tanah pada produksi tempe, untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas pada mitra pengabdian, (2) Melakukan bimbingan teknis tentang penggunaan alat Mesin Kombinasi Pengayak, Pemadatan & Pemasukan Tanah agar hasil produksi tempe dapat meningkat dari segi kualitas dan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat yang ditempuh melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan. Sedangkan hasil dari kegiatan tersebut adalah (1) pembuatan mesin pengayak dan pengaduk bahan kompos dapat membantu mitra dalam meningkatkan produktifitas dan efisiensi tenaga manusia. Mesin ini memiliki kapasitas 100 kg/jam dengan daya motor 1 PK. (2) mitra dapat memahami semua tahapan yang harus dilakukan dan mitra langsung mempraktikkan sendiri setelah tim pengabdian pulang]

Abstract

Pendidikan vokasi, terutama Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), memegang peranan penting dalam menyiapkan tenaga kerja untuk pasar industri. Namun, masih terdapat kesenjangan antara kualifikasi pendidikan dan kebutuhan lapangan kerja, menyebabkan tingginya tingkat pengangguran di kalangan lulusan SMK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi daya saing lulusan SMK kelas industri PT. INKA melalui sertifikasi welder, dengan fokus pada SMK Negeri 1 Bendo Magetan. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi proses sertifikasi, keterserapan lulusan di industri, daya saing lulusan, dan dampak program kelas industri PT. INKA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program sertifikasi welder di SMK Negeri 1 Bendo melibatkan proses evaluasi komprehensif, sementara lulusan kelas industri PT. INKA mendapat penerimaan positif di industri, mencerminkan kesesuaian dengan tuntutan pasar kerja. Daya saing lulusan juga terbukti melalui prestasi dan pengakuan industri terhadap kualitas lulusan, sementara dampak program ini meluas hingga ke peningkatan reputasi SMK dan kontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan industri secara keseluruhan. Kesimpulannya, program kelas industri PT. INKA dengan sertifikasi welder memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi lulusan, SMK, dan industri, serta menawarkan solusi untuk meningkatkan kesiapan kerja lulusan SMK

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is a curriculum that emphasizes the development of holistic competencies, creativity, and entrepreneurship of students to face the challenges of complex times more effectively. In secondary education, the application of the independent curriculum is able to have a significant impact on learning objectives, including the craft subject on the topic of processing. The research method used is qualitative by applying interview data collection, observation and field documentation studies. The results of the study found that the implementation of the independent curriculum at Nurul Huda Porong Sidoarjo Junior High School was carried out in stages from grade 7, with teachers who had received training to develop their own learning tools. The learning process for food processing crafts is interactive and fun, despite the lack of equipment and practice rooms. The integration of Independent curriculum in food processing craft in junior high schools produces students who are competent and knowledgeable in the culinary world.

Abstract

Currently digital modules (E-modules) are a solution for learning in the digital era. The aim of this research is to create an e-module that can provide knowledge and experience in fashion business management, and make basic women's fashion, analyze the feasibility level of e-module development and analyze the level of student response to the development product, namely an entrepreneurship-based basic women's fashion e-module. The method in this research is research and development, with the ADDIE development model. The product of this development is an entrepreneurship-based basic women's fashion e-module created with Sigil software, with data collection techniques, namely: unstructured interviews and closed questionnaires. The results of the trial on students obtained a response of 81%, in the very good category, namely students liked the layout of the e-module and the material presented was very relevant to their needs. And students feel satisfied and interested in studying the e-module. The result of the development is an e-module for making basic level women's clothing combined with entrepreneurial knowledge in the fashion sector. From the results of data analysis, it is concluded that this e-module can be used in madrasah aliyah plus fashion skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) dalam meningkatkan ketercapaian keterampilan abad ke-21 (4C Skills), yaitu Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Collaboration, dan Communication, pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yang melibatkan analisis komprehensif terhadap berbagai studi yang relevan dalam 10 tahun terakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan TPACK dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek, desain kreatif, dan model pembelajaran kooperatif secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, berpikir kreatif, kolaborasi, dan komunikasi siswa. Faktor utama keberhasilan penerapan TPACK meliputi integrasi teknologi dengan pedagogi dan konten yang dirancang untuk mendorong keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran yang mendalam dan relevan. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa TPACK adalah kerangka konseptual yang efektif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21 siswa, dengan implikasi praktis bagi guru dan pemangku kepentingan dalam mendesain program pembelajaran yang inovatif.

Abstract

The issue of manual tillage still practiced by maize farmers in Wonosari Village results in low work efficiency and high occupational health risks. This community service project aims to introduce appropriate technology in the form of the Dangir-Tech machine as a mechanized solution for soil cultivation. The implementation involved site surveys, equipment design and development, operational training, and ongoing evaluation. Results indicate that Dangir-Tech improved work efficiency by over 40%, reduced physical fatigue, and was well-received by farmers. Satisfaction evaluation showed that more than 90% of respondents were in the satisfied to highly satisfied categories. The application of this technology successfully fostered healthier and more productive farming practices. These findings highlight the importance of farmer-oriented local innovations in promoting agricultural modernization in rural areas.

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kuliner dan kemandirian ekonomi warga binaan Lapas Ngajum melalui pelatihan berbasis teknologi tepat guna. Inovasi yang ditawarkan berupa Dimsum Steamer berbahan stainless steel yang efisien, aman, dan mudah dioperasikan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelatihan teori dan praktik, serta evaluasi partisipatif. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi peserta dalam produksi dimsum dan pemanfaatan alat. Evaluasi juga menunjukkan respon positif terhadap kebermanfaatan teknologi dan keterlaksanaan program. Program ini berkontribusi pada penguatan Bimbingan Kerja (Bimker) dan kesiapan reintegrasi sosial warga binaan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya sinergi antara teknologi tepat guna dan pelatihan vokasional dalam mendukung rehabilitasi narapidana.
