Abstract

Bending can cause stress to the workpiece, where the stress can cause a fine crack in the metal which can lead to corrosion. Corrosion that occurs can result in a decline in the quality of metals, especially in mechanical properties. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the corrosion rate of each bending angle. This study uses low carbon steel with ASTM A36 type plates, this type of steel is often used in ship production. This research is an experimental study using descriptive statistical methods, and 3x3 factorial Anava for testing hypotheses. From this research, the results obtained in the form of corrosion rate values, where the characteristics of the corrosion rate of steel plates with the lowest corrosion resistance are at 60o bending treatment, seawater media, and 48 hours with a corrosion rate of 2.005 mmpy. Corrosion rate characteristics with the best resistance are in the bending treatment of 120o, PDAM water media, and 24 hour time with a corrosion rate of 0.695 mmpy. Hypothesis test results state that there is a significant effect of variations in bending angle, corrosion media, and corrosion time on the value of the corrosion rate.

Abstract

Indonesia has a shortage of professionals in Information and Communications Technology (ICT). Therefore, to increase the pool of electrical experts who are also qualified in the field of computer science, it is necessary to boost interest in computer science at an early year of upper secondary level. The Game Based Learning (GBL) approach increased investment in computer science for vocational high school learners. The two-dimensional (2D) game named Jack into Woods (JIW) was developed to teach fundamental concepts of C++ programming and influence the view in the computer science fields of electrical engineering of vocational high school students. The research involved the instructional design procedure, particularly the ADDIE model, to build and observe the computer game prototype and whether the product contextually fulfills the feasible and practical standard. The quantitative research method study was used to analyze the measurement. A total of 4 experts, 32 students from the pilot study group and 64 students from the control and experiment groups, participated in the research. The data was collected from research participants through pre-test–post-test, and pre-survey–post-survey responses. The quantitative data was collected, and feasibility was analyzed using descriptive statistics. Although participants scored significantly different between experiment and control groups’ post-survey responses, the focus and control groups’ post-test performances were not significantly different.

Abstract

Hasil diskusi bersama guru mata pelajaran produktif Teknik Pemesinan Frais di SMK PGRI 3 Malang, penyampaian materi dengan metode demonstrasi tidak dapat dilakukan secara langsung, karena seluruh siswa belajar dari rumah sehingga guru hanya menggunakan media powerpoint dan video pembelajaran. Dampaknya siswa mengalami kesulitan untuk mendalami materi dan cenderung bosan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis augmented reality. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE. Tahapannya, yaitu: 1) analisis kebutuhan; 2) desain, 3) pengembangan produk dan uji validasi, 4) uji coba siswa kelas X SMK PGRI 3 Malang pada mata pelajaran Teknik Pemesiann Frais, dan 5) evaluasi. Instrumen pengukuran berupa angket dengan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan berupa media pembelajaran MILLIAR (milling augmented reality) yang terdiri atas modul, aplikasi Android, dan buku panduan penggunaan. Persentase hasil uji validasi mencapai 100% menurut ahli materi, 98% menurut ahli media, dan 100% menurut guru mata pelajaran. Persentase hasil uji coba kelompok kecil oleh 8 siswa mencapai 94,42%  dan hasil uji coba lapangan terhadap 54 siswa mencapai 85,22%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran MILLIAR memperoleh kriteria sangat layak untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran kompetensi dasar mengidentifikasi bagian-bagian mesin frais berdasarkan jenis dan fungsinya.

Abstract

Teaching factory merupakan bentuk proses pembelajaran dimana suasana industri dihadirkan secara langsung dalam proses pelaksanaannya. Tujuan teaching factory itu sendiri guna meningkatkan mutu tamatan SMK untuk mengurai tingkat pengangguran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan menggunakan model CIPP. Model CIPP sendiri dipilih guna meninjau pelaksanaan teaching factory melalui aspek context, input, process, serta product. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data kuantitatif dan disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru produktif serta pengurus teaching factory SMK swasta di Kota Malang. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas serta peningkatan kompetensi siswa pada mata pelajaran TGM dengan pengembangan modul Inventor berbasis Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) terhadap siswa kelas XI di SMK Negeri 1 Singosari. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan menunjukkan, 1) hasil validasi ahli media 96.70%, validasi materi 96.70%, kelompok kecil 88.33%, kelompok besar 89.38%, sehingga layak dikembangkan. Serta dapat meningkatkan efektivitas belajar siswa diperolehnya nilai pada kelompok thitung > tTabel 6.000 > 2.776, dan kelompok besar thitung > tTabel = 12.880 > 2.05. 2) nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa di atas KKM sebesar 96.66% yang dapat meningkatkan kompetensi siswa. Kata kunci:. Abstract

This research presents a study on the implementation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in the context of vocational education in the era of independent learning, emphasizing self-directed learning. Through qualitative descriptive methods and literature review analysis, this study highlights the transformation of conventional teaching paradigms into more dynamic, creative approaches focused on developing students' problem-solving skills. The research findings confirm the improvement of students' competencies, including planning, design, reflection, construction, and modification aspects of STEM projects. Another significant discovery is that integrating STEM with other teaching models such as Project-Based Learning (PjBL) or Problem-Based Learning (PBL) effectively enhances students' critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills regardless of gender. In conclusion, the implementation of STEM education not only prepares vocational education students to face the challenges of the 21st century and the era of independent learning but also stimulates students' interest and engagement in learning, promotes inclusivity, and enhances the overall quality of education.

Abstract

This research delves into the issue of inadequate pedagogical proficiency among vocational high school (SMK) teacher candidates, primarily stemming from the constrained timeframe of educational internships, typically spanning a mere two months. As an option, this study suggests the implementation of an Asistensi Mengajar (AM) initiative within the framework of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program (MBKM), extending over a semester’s duration. Employing a literature review methodology, the research highlights that the brevity of conventional two-month internships poses a significant impediment to the development of pedagogical acumen among SMK teacher candidates. The proposed option entails an AM program under MBKM, engaging students in bolstering literacy, numeracy, technological adaptability, and school administration skills. The emphasis is laid on the pivotal role of pedagogical competence in ensuring efficacious and dynamic learning processes. A comprehensive grasp of the constituents of pedagogical competence, encompassing sub-competencies and corresponding indicators, is deemed indispensable. Prior studies have evidenced a positive correlation between heightened pedagogical competence and learning efficacy. It is recommended that AM-MBKM programs be extended to students, affording them opportunities to partake in collaborative learning endeavors under the tutelage of teachers and mentoring lecturers within formal educational settings.DOI: 10.17977/jps.v12i22024p057

Abstract

Advances in technology go hand in hand with innovation in the industry, so teachers must prepare students to satisfy industry needs. Teacher apprenticeship is a program that must be implemented in order to improve teacher competence. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a multicase study type. Research on Islamic Vocational School 1 Blitar City and Veterans Vocational School 1 Tulungagung. Based on the findings, the implementation of teacher apprenticeship cannot be separated from the collaboration that exists between SMK and industry. The cooperation includes planning, implementation, evaluation and certification. Teacher internships can be carried out because schools provide support to teachers and industry which always provide opportunities. Obstacles in the implementation of teacher internships exist in the implementation time which must adjust the teacher's teaching hours, so that the implementation time is limited or waiting for holidays.

Abstract

A teacher is required to be able to develop competence and update the latest information technology. One form of technology update that can be done by teachers is participating in training programs.. This research uses a qualitative approach by carrying out the type of case study research. The results showed that training planning can be done in several stages. The first stage is the administrative and scheme preparation stage carried out by the committee together with representatives from PT Daihatsu East Java. The implementation of training begins with the socialization of the industrial curriculum, in this program teachers are introduced to industrial competencies which are used as material for curriculum alignment. The next training is the assessment of prospective competency test assessors. The process of becoming a competency test assessor involves several important stages. Prospective assessors must take part in training and examinations organized by PT Daihatsu in the Pintar Bersama Daihatsu (PBD) program. The final result of the assessment of prospective assessors is proven by an assessor certificate that can be used to guarantee the quality of student graduation when conducting competency tests at school.

Abstract

Abstrak: [Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah (1) Menghasilkan teknologi tepat guna berupa Mesin Kombinasi Pengayak, Pemadatan & Pemasukan Tanah pada produksi tempe, untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas pada mitra pengabdian, (2) Melakukan bimbingan teknis tentang penggunaan alat Mesin Kombinasi Pengayak, Pemadatan & Pemasukan Tanah agar hasil produksi tempe dapat meningkat dari segi kualitas dan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat yang ditempuh melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan. Sedangkan hasil dari kegiatan tersebut adalah (1) pembuatan mesin pengayak dan pengaduk bahan kompos dapat membantu mitra dalam meningkatkan produktifitas dan efisiensi tenaga manusia.
