Abstract

Digital education expands rapidly, yet research on Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and Self-Organized Learning Environments (SOLE) often proceeds separately, obscuring how integration with standardized critical-thinking measures improves learning. This review addresses that gap by synthesizing evidence, specifying how PWA affordances scaffold SOLE processes, and offering guidance for practice and policy. A Systematic Literature Review (SPAR-4-SLR) was conducted. Searches in Scopus, SINTA, and Google Scholar covered 2020–2025 using Boolean strings (PWA and SOLE and “critical thinking”). Inclusion targeted peer-reviewed studies in formal education reporting learning or critical-thinking outcomes; screening followed PRISMA 2020. Instruments comprised a four-criterion Likert quality appraisal (objectives clarity, methodological appropriateness, data quality and completeness, educational relevance; cutoff ≥ 12), a standardized data-extraction form, and NVivo 12 for thematic analysis with calibration and inter-rater agreement (Cohen’s κ ≥ 0.70). Twenty-five studies were included. Results show 32% focused on PWA (flexibility, motivation, project-based engagement), 40% on SOLE (independence, collaboration, inquiry), and 28% on integrated approaches indicating potential for adaptive, participatory, contextual ecosystems, although instruments are heterogeneous and causal designs limited. Theoretically, the review specifies a technology–pedagogy alignment that maps offline access, installability, responsiveness, and notifications to SOLE phases and core critical-thinking dimensions. Practically, it recommends a design checklist for educators, rubric and outcome alignment for curriculum developers, and policies prioritizing device access, reliable connectivity with offline options, lightweight authentication, and professional development for SOLE facilitation.

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat dalam teknologi Generative AI berbasis teks melalui model seperti ChatGPT membawa dampak yang signifikan di berbagai sektor. Namun, penerapan teknologi ini juga memunculkan tantangan etika yang mendalam, khususnya terkait dengan transparansi, keadilan, akuntabilitas, dan pengelolaan bias algoritmik. Artikel ini mengkaji secara kritis penerapan kebijakan etika dalam desain dan pengembangan ChatGPT, dengan fokus pada prinsip-prinsip etika fundamental seperti keadilan, non-diskriminasi, dan transparansi. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adala Ex Post Facto, dimana analisis dilakukan setelah peristiwa atau kebijakan diterapkan, guna menilai dampaknya terhadap pengelolaan bias algoritmik dan risiko disinformasi. Pendekatan etika normative juga diterapkan untuk mengevaluasi sejau mana kebijakan diterapkan oleh OpenAI sejalan dengan nilai-nilai keadilan. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi tantangan besar yang dihadapi oleh pengembang dalam memastikan bahwa Generative AI dapat digunakan secara adil dan bertanggung jawab. Selain itu, artikel ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam penggunaan AI, guna menciptakan ekosistem yang lebih inklusif dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Keunikan artikel ini terletak pada analisis mendalam terhadap kebijakan etika yang diterapkan oleh OpenAI, serta focus pada prinsip-prinsip etika fundamental dalam konteks pengembangan Generative AI, yang belum banyak dibahas dalam penelitian sebelumnya. Kesimpulannya, keberhasilan AI yang etis bergantung pada penerapan kebijakan yang komprehensif dan sistematis, yang tidak hanya efisien secara teknis tetapi juga menghormati nilai-nilai sosial dan hak-hak individu. A critical analysis of Ethical Policies and Practices at ChatGPT The rapid advancement of text-based Generative AI technologies through models such as ChatGPT has had a significant impact across various sectors. However, the adoption of this technology also raises profound ethical challenges, particularly with regard to transparency, fairness, accountability, and the management of algorithmic bias. This article critically examines the implementation of ethical policies in the design and development of ChatGPT, with a focus on fundamental ethical principles such as fairness, non-discrimination, and transparency. The analytical method employed in this study is an ex post facto approach, in which analysis is conducted after the implementation of events or policies to assess their impact on the management of algorithmic bias and the risks of misinformation. A normative ethical approach is also applied to evaluate the extent to which OpenAI’s policies align with principles of justice. This study identifies major challenges faced by developers in ensuring that Generative AI is used fairly and responsibly. In addition, the article offers recommendations to enhance transparency and accountability in AI deployment in order to foster a more inclusive and accountable ecosystem. The novelty of this article lies in its in-depth analysis of the ethical policies implemented by OpenAI and its focus on fundamental ethical principles in the context of Generative AI development, an area that has received limited attention in prior research. In conclusion, the success of ethical AI depends on the implementation of comprehensive and systematic policies that are not only technically efficient but also respectful of social values and individual rights.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and recommendation systems has had a major impact on various digital service sectors, including social media, e-commerce, and healthcare. Although this technology offers efficiency and personalised services, its implementation also raises complex ethical challenges, such as privacy protection, algorithmic bias, and system accountability. This study aims to analyse ethical perspectives in the development of AI and recommendation systems through a literature review approach. The methods used include analysis of various scientific articles classified into several main ethical dimensions, namely data privacy and security, algorithmic fairness, social media and recommendation systems, digital communication, and educational and publication ethics. The results of the study show that issues of privacy, transparency, and the potential for user behaviour manipulation are dominant issues. Ethics in AI no longer functions solely as an individual value, but as the foundation of responsible and sustainable institutional governance.

Abstract

The swift advancements in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning have rendered datasets essential; nonetheless, their heightened utilization has engendered intricate ethical dilemmas that are frequently neglected. This study seeks to delineate and highlight ethical concerns associated with the collection of primary data and the reutilization of secondary datasets in computer science research. We employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, examining 72 publications sourced from five esteemed academic databases (Scopus, Web of Science, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, Google Scholar) published from 2021 to 2025. The study results indicate that ethical difficulties emerge uniformly in both primary and secondary datasets. Primary datasets primarily face challenges related to privacy threats, anonymization, and Informed Consent, whereas secondary datasets are more susceptible to licensing infringements, dataset repurposing, and insufficient preparation transparency. The three domains that predominantly encountered these challenges were Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing. Moreover, practices of data manipulation, including cherry-picking and concealed preparation, were identified as detrimental to scientific integrity. This study's findings underscore the need for enhanced ethical standards for datasets and greater transparency in preparation documentation to ensure the repeatability of data-driven research.

Abstract

Era Society 5.0 menuntut pendidikan vokasi untuk menyiapkan lulusan yang memiliki kompetensi teknis dan nonteknis yang relevan dengan perkembangan teknologi dan industri. Namun, strategi pendidikan vokasi dalam mempersiapkan kompetensi lulusan masih tersebar dalam berbagai kajian dan belum dirumuskan secara komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi strategi pendidikan vokasi dalam mempersiapkan kompetensi lulusan menghadapi era Society 5.0. Metode penelitian menggunakan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pendekatan PRISMA terhadap 10 artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan pada rentang 2020–2024 dan bersumber dari Google Scholar dan Scopus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi utama pendidikan vokasi meliputi peningkatan kompetensi guru, pengembangan kurikulum berbasis keterampilan digital dan industri, penguatan persepsi dunia kerja peserta didik, integrasi teknologi pembelajaran, serta penyelarasan pendidikan dengan industri melalui program link and match. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi lembaga pendidikan vokasi dalam merancang kebijakan dan pembelajaran yang adaptif terhadap tuntutan era Society 5.0.

Abstract

This study develops and evaluates Cyber Pedagogy-based Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) content designed to enhance the competence of education practitioners in integrating game-based learning into instructional practices. The research applied a Design and Development Research (DDR) approach using the ADDIE model, covering the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The quality of the developed MOOC was assessed using the Learning Object Review Instrument (LORI), which comprises eight dimensions: Content Quality, Learning Goal Alignment, Feedback and Adaptation, Motivation, Presentation Design, Interaction and Collaboration, Usability and Accessibility, and Reusability and Effectiveness. Data were obtained from 45 practitioners participating in MOOC-based training. Results indicate that all dimensions achieved average scores above 3.00 on a four-point scale, indicating a good level of quality. The highest mean scores were found in Learning Goal Alignment (3.389), Presentation Design (3.373), and Content Quality (3.333), while Usability and Accessibility (3.156) was the lowest. Overall, the findings demonstrate that Cyber Pedagogy-based MOOC content effectively supports structured, engaging, and adaptive digital learning experiences for education practitioners.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse the effectiveness of using Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) in vocational education. This study addresses the need for a comprehensive understanding of the impact of immersive technology on improving the quality of learning in various vocational fields. The research methodology applied was a Systematic Literature Review of 40 articles, consisting of 16 quasi-experimental designs, 13 randomised controlled trials, 7 mixed methods, 3 observational studies, and 1 case study. Of the articles studied, 23 studies used VR technology, 12 studies used AR, and 5 studies used a combination of both. The educational contexts analysed covered various fields, with nursing being the most studied field with 6 studies. The main findings show significant effectiveness in various aspects of learning. In orthopaedic surgery training, a transfer effectiveness ratio of 0.79 was found. In construction safety training, hazard identification accuracy reached 78.3% using VR, compared to 18.5% with traditional methods. Student engagement levels also showed positive results, with 100% of students reporting an increase in interest in learning, and 92% of students reporting good confidence levels in the VR training group. This study makes a significant contribution to the field of education by presenting empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of AR and VR in vocational learning. The study also identified factors for successful implementation, including the importance of integrating this technology with appropriate pedagogical strategies, as well as its potential to improve educational accessibility. Despite challenges such as high initial costs and technical issues, the results of the study show that AR and VR are effective learning media for improving the quality of vocational education, especially in learning complex and high-risk skills.
