Abstract

Factors affecting the success of SMEs have been widely studied, but generally they only focus on the individual characteristics as a factor affecting the success of SMEs. This study attempts to analyze the role of the growth strategy in mediating the effect of entrepreneurial competencies on SMEs performance. The population consists of the 243 nurturing SMEs in Malang Regency, in which the sample was taken using proportional sampling techniques, and it was totaled 146 SMEs. They were collected by using questionnaires and interviews, whereas analytical techniques using Structural Equation Modeling. The results showed that the growth strategy is influenced by entrepreneurial competencies, so the business growth strategy, as a mediator of the effect of entrepreneurial competencies on SMEs performance, meaning that the increase of the entrepreneurial competencies will lead to a higher capability implementing the growth strategy. This eventually affects the SMEs performance. Entrepreneurial competencies will affect the better business growth strategy. In turn, it can also ultimately improve SMEs performance. Thus, the key factor in the SMEs performance in Malang Regency is the level of competency owned by the owners and the implementation of growth strategy.

Abstract

Several previous studies have tested the relationship between leadership type and innovative work behavior. However, there have been only a few empirical studies examining the mediating role of creative self-efficacy on the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovative work behavior. This study was conducted to fill this gap to understand the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovative work behavior and the role of creative self-efficacy as a mediating variable for the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovative work behavior. Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to 190 employees of the Astra Honda Authorized Service Station (AHASS) and analyzed using Structural equation modeling with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that entrepreneurial leadership increases the innovative work behavior of employees. Besides, entrepreneurial leadership increases creative self-efficacy and leads to increased employee innovative work behavior. This study contributes to the development of the literature by providing empirical evidence on the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovative work behavior and the role of creative self-efficacy in innovative behavior. This study confirms Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) that a person's self-efficacy will generate creative ideas in the workplace and produce innovative work. The practical implication is that leaders must provide greater opportunities for employees to develop creative ideas in the workplace to achieve an increase in innovative work behavior.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to broaden the resource-based view by examining the effects of entrepreneurial culture on SMEs performance, and to analyze the role of entrepreneurial competence in mediating the effects of entrepreneurial culture on business performance. The study used a quantitative approach, carried out on tourism-supporting SME companies in Batu City. Collecting data using a questionnaire with a sample of 117 SMEs selected randomly. The analysis technique uses PLS-SEM to test the hypothesis. Research findings reveal that business performance in SMEs will be determined by the entrepreneurial culture and entrepreneurial competence of the owners/managers. Entrepreneurial competence can be achieved if the owners/managers have a strong entrepreneurial culture. Research confirms the resource-based view that entrepreneurial competence as a superior resource will provide a competitive advantage, so that it plays a role in achieving business performance. It is important for SMEs to strengthen the entrepreneurial culture in order to achieve business performance, because the entrepreneurial culture will direct the behavior of owners/managers to improve their competencies, which will realize business performance. More extensive research is needed to improve the level of generalization, in addition, further researchers consider the role of dynamic capability in relation to competence and business performance.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi para pelaku Usaha Mikro Kecil (UMK) adalah rendahnya kesadaran tentang legalitas usaha dalam bentuk Izin Usaha Mikro Kecil (IUMK). Hal ini berakibat kesulitan memperoleh pendanaan dari lembaga keuangan untuk menambah modal. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan terkait izin usaha tersebut, solusi yang bisa dilakukan dengan memberikan sosialisasi pentingnya IUMK dan keuntungan memiliki IUMK kepada para pelaku UMK di Kabupaten Malang. Selain itu diberikan pendampingan untuk mengajukan IUMK secara online. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini, kesadaran pelaku UMK meningkat tentang pentingnya kepemilikan izin usaha serta memahami keuntungan memiliki IUMK. Hasil yang lain adalah jumlah UMK yang memiliki IUMK bertambah, sehingga diharapkan bisa digunakan sebagai syarat untuk mendapatkan bantuan permodalan dari lembaga keuangan untuk pengembangan usaha.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan menguji peran budaya organisasi sebaga mediasi hubungan kepemimpinan dengan kinerja karyawan. Menggunakan sampel sebanyak 90 karyawan PT. Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Malang, dengan metode Purposive Sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dengan Skala Likert 5 poin, teknik analisis menggunakan Path Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja karyawan, budaya organisasi memiliki peran mediasi pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Peningkatan kinerja karyawan dapat dicapai jika kepemimpinan mampu meningkatkan partisipasi, mengayoni, demokratis dan berorientasi pada tugas. Peneliti selanjutnya dapat menguji peran kepemimpinan dan budaya dalam membangun komitmen organisasi.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian untuk mengungkapkan peran kepemimpinan spiritual dan kompetensi pada kinerja karyawan, selain itu untuk menguji peran motivasi sebagai mediasi dari pengaruh kepemimpinan spiritual dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif, penelitian dilakukan pada 125 orang karyawan PT. PT. Partner Sejati Internasional di Malang. Kuesioner digunakan untuk pengumpulan data, yang dirancang menggunakan Skala Likert 5 point. Pengujian pengaruh langsung dan mediasi menggunakan Analisis Jalur. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kepemimpinan spiritual memiliki dampak pada peningkatan kinerja karyawan, demikian pula kompetensi juga sebagai faktor yang berkontribusi pada peningkatan kinerja karyawan. Kinerja karyawan juga akan dipengaruhi oleh bagaimana motivasi kerja dari karyawan. Temuan lain penelitian menjelaskan bahwa motivasi menjadi mediasi parsial dari pengaruh kepemimpinan dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kepemimpinan spiritual memberi keteladanan, sehingga mampu memberikan dorongan pada karyawan, sehingga memberikan konsekuensi pada kinerja karyawan. Penelitian yang akan datang bisa dikembangkan dengan mempertimbangkan peran kepemimpinan spiritual pada komitmen dan kepuasan kerja. Kata Kunci: kepemimpinan spiritual; kinerja karyawan, kompetensi, motivasi Abstract The purpose of the study was to reveal the role of spiritual leadership and competence on employee performance, in addition to examining the role of motivation as a mediation of the influence of spiritual leadership and competence on employee performance. Using a quantitative research approach, the research was conducted on 125 employees of PT. PT. International True Partner in Malang. Questionnaires were used for data collection, which was designed using a 5-point Likert Scale. Testing direct and mediation effects using Path Analysis. The results of the study reveal that spiritual leadership has an impact on improving employee performance, as well as competence as a factor that contributes to improving employee performance. Employee performance will also be influenced by how the work motivation of employees. Another research finding explains that motivation is a partial mediation of the influence of leadership and competence on employee performance. Spiritual leadership provides an example so that it is able to provide encouragement to employees, thus giving consequences to employee performance. Future research can be developed by considering the role of spiritual leadership on commitment and job satisfaction. Keywords: spiritual leadership; performance, competence, motivation

Abstract

Abstrak — Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dilaksanakan di Desa Petungsewu Kecamatan Wagir Kabupaten Malang sebagai Desa Mitra, dengan fokus pada pemberdayaan usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) dupa. Masalah yang dihadapi pengrajin dupa di desa Mitra adalah masih menghasilkan dupa mentah, kesulitan pemasaran sehingga pendapatan usaha masih rendah. Tujuan program adalah untuk meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat pengrajin dupa melalui diversifikasi produk yaitu menghasilkan produk dupa wangi kemasan, dan penerapan strategi pemasaran produk dengan pola kemitraan. Metode yang diterapkan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan produksi dupa wangi kemasan, penciptaan merek dagang, dan merintis kemitraan dengan pelaku usaha dupa yang sudah berhasil. Pelatihan dan pendampingan dilaksanakan sebagai bagian dari pengembangan hasil produksi atau diversifikasi produk, sehingga tidak hanya memproduksi dupa setengah jadi, tetapi mampu menghasilkan produk jadi dikemas dan siap dijual. Pola kemitraan yang dilakukan dengan cara perdagangan umum dalam bentuk kerjasama pemasaran, produk dari pengrajin dupa dari desa mitra disetorkan kepada pelaku usaha mitra untuk dijual. Hasil kegiatan pengrajin dupa sudah mampu menghasilkan dupa wangi kemasan dengan merk Gunung Katu sebagai produk unggulan, produk dupa wangi Gunung Katu mulai dikenal pasar, dan memperoleh nilai tambah usaha berupa peningkatan pendapatan.Abstract — Community service activities are carried out in Petungsewu Village, Wagir District, Malang Regency as Mitra Village, with a focus on empowering incense micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The problem faced by incense craftsmen in Mitra village is that it still produces raw incense, marketing difficulties so that business income is still low. The aim of the program is to increase the income of the community of incense craftsmen through product diversification, namely producing fragrant incense packaging products, and implementing a product marketing strategy with a partnership pattern. The method applied is training and mentoring the production of fragrant incense packaging, creating trademarks, and initiating partnerships with successful incense businesses. Training and assistance are carried out as part of the development of production or product diversification, so that not only producing semi-finished incense, but able to produce finished products that are packaged and ready for sale. The partnership pattern is carried out by means of general trading in the form of marketing cooperation, products from incense craftsmen from partner villages are deposited to partner business actors for sale. Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of transactional leadership on commitment mediated by job satisfaction. The sample used to be employees of the Krebet Baru Malang PG Company, as many as 62 people, data were collected using a questionnaire, and the data analysis technique used Path Analysis. The results showed that transactional leadership had a positive and significant effect on commitment, transactional leadership had a positive and significant effect on work commitment which was mediated by job satisfaction in Krebet Baru PG Malang. The result findings show that transactional leadership plays a role in increasing organizational commitment, while also contributing to increasing job satisfaction, job satisfaction will have an impact on organizational commitment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership on employee performance and to analyze the mediating role of work commitment. This research is a type of quantitative research, using a questionnaire arranged with a 5 point Likert scale. The research variables consisted of transformational leadership as an exogenous variable, employee performance as an endogenous variable, and work commitment while the mediating variable. The research sample was 80 employees of PT. Kalbe Farma, Tbk. The data analysis technique uses path analysis. The results showed that transformational leadership has a direct effect on employee performance. Other findings indicate that work commitment acts as a partial mediator of the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance. Future research can develop research by including the role of organizational culture as a factor influencing commitment and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of transformational leadership and organizational communication on employee performance achievement. Using a quantitative research approach, by collecting data from 120 employees as the research sample. The data analysis technique used Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The results showed that transformational leadership has a positive effect on employee performance, other findings indicate that organizational communication also has a positive effect on employee performance. Companies need to enhance transformational leadership and ensure that organizational communication is well-executed, clear and follows well-recognized channels. Future researchers could consider employee engagement variables as a mediator of the relationship between organizational communication and employee performance.
