Abstract

Abstract The objectives of this study were to develop the Scale of Subjective Well-Being for Mother (SSWB-M), and to examine the psychometric properties of SSWB-M that have been developed. The results of this study show that The developed Scale of Subjective Well-Being for Mother (SSWB-M) consists of The Scale of Life Satisfaction in Family Domain (SLS-FD) and the Positive and Negative Affect Scale in Family Domain (PANAS-FD).The Scale of Life Satisfaction in Family Domain (SLS-FD) showing a match with chi-square = 147.190 (p = 0.118), GFI = 0.881, AGFI = 0.805, CFI = 0.984, TLI = 0.977, and RMSEA = 0.039 describes a good goodness of fit. Overall reliability has a high value of Alpha Cronbach coefficient, which is 0.892, and composite reliability of 0.984. Positive - Negative Affect Scale in Family Domain (PANAS-FD) shows the results of evaluation of fit model  with chi square = 46,450 (p = 0,332), GFI = 0,925, AGFI = 0,886, CFI = 0,995, TLI = 0,994, and RMSEA = 0,028 describes that the goodness of fit is good. Overall, on PANAS-FD have the composite reliability is 0.950, and the Alpha Cronbach is 0.763. The Scale of Subjective Well-Being for Mother (SSWB-M), the two sub-scales have high validity and reliability, therefore it can be used to measure subjective well-being in young mothers. Keywords: Development, validation, SSWB-M

Abstract

The aim of this research is to adapt and validate the Indonesian version of CERQ for adult samples. CERQ consists of nine emotional regulation strategies, with a total of 36 items. CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) was used to analyse the data. The results of the study showed that based on the measurement model using CFA, CERQ totaling 36 items, through the item selection process, the remaining 17 items have high loading factor. Based on the results of the evaluation of the fit of model indicated by the parameters: chi square = 103.115 (p = 0.101), GFI = 0.895, AGFI = 0.814, CFI = 0.979, TLI = 0.967 and RMSEA = 0.044 explaining the existence of good goodness of fit. CERQ Indonesian version also has Composite Reliability (CR) in the range of 0.707-0.925 and AVE in the range of 0.786-0.927, also explaining and providing evidence of good convergent validity. The confirmed CERQ measurement model has a fit model according to empirical data. Thus, the Indonesian version of CERQ is accepted as a measure of emotion regulation, especially for young adult respondents (aged 20-40 years).

Abstract

This research aimed to explore the risk factors of PTSD in children as victims of sexual violence so as to build the concept of integrative psychological dynamics of PTSD in children as victims of sexual violence in Indonesia and also reveal the impact of PTSD on children as victims of sexual violence.  Sexual violence is a lifelong crime in which the victim who experienced the incident will experience a prolonged trauma or what is commonly called post traumatic sress disorder (PTSD). PTSD is a mental disorder that can develop after a person is affected by a traumatic event. The method used was qualitative method with case study approac while the data collection technique was done by using in-depth interview and participant observation. The research was conducted on children as victims of sexual violence aged 11 and 12 years old and experienced PTSD. Stages of data analysis were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification until the final conclusion, through the process of validity, like triangulation data. The results of this research revealed that PTSD risk factors in children as victims of sexual violence are associated with 2 (two) factors such as, : 1) Internal factors or vulnerabilities in children include low intelligence and shyness, introvert, and pessimistic personality, 2) Environmental factors include the lack of support from parents, teachers, friends and people around the victim which triggered the development of PTSD. Children as victims of sexual violence who get PTSD also experience the impact on the function of life, where they are no longer able to perform daily life functions such as going to school, socializing and doing their hobby.

Abstract

School is a protective factor to improve and promote mental health. Many mental health problems are experienced by school learners. From various interactions with the learners, teachers are expected capable to prevent and identify school learners’ mental health problems. Although the human-teacher sources are high but they are not completely used to support learners’ mental health problems. This research aims to find out the mental health literacy operational definition and the urgency of mental health literacy of the teachers. This research applied a systematic literature review from five search engines. They were Spingerlink, Science Direct, Jstor, Eric, and Pubmed. The applied keywords were “mental health literacy”, “school”, and “teacher”. The taken references are from 1997 - 2020.  Six hundred and thirty three articles were obtained from five search engines.  From the systematic review, seven articles were obtained.  An expanding concept of mental health definition was found from the initial concept proposed by Jorm. Clear concept definition influenced the measurement. Teachers must be aware of mental health literacy because they are the first lines to identify mental health problems of the learners, mostly found on 12 - 25 years-old learners. Low teacher literacy at school about mental health problems experienced by learners led to serious impacts for them.

Abstract

Abstract

The research aimed to reveal the impacts by adolescents who experienced internet addiction with pornographic content. It applied a qualitative approach, namely an instrumental case study. Participants were 18-25 years old, there were six adolescents who were obtained based on the initial screening, namely self-reporting through a pornography internet addiction questionnaire. The data were collected by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Thematic analysis with NVivo 12 data management was used as the data analysis technique. The results show that adolescents experience changes in cognition and affection for sexual stimulation caused by the internet with pornographic content. The impact of cognition is shown from their obsessive-compulsive thoughts on sexual content. They always have the desire to see those photos or video over again, which lead them to sleep disorders due to visualizing scenes of sexual intercourse. The impact of affection can be seen from their desire to act in sexual activity, their being so passionate and pleased after seeing pornographic content, and their expectation to feel such immense affection. Furthermore, they might find difficulty in establishing interpersonal relationships with other people and tend to withdraw themselves from the social environment.
