Abstract

Developing tourist attractions can encourage increased community participation in managing tourist destinations, especially those based on water resource potential. Local or domestic tourists are the backbone of most tourism destinations. Therefore, challenges, opportunities, and innovation in optimizing the potential of aquatic resources require sharing information based on experience in several regions. The research aims to assess the potential for sustainable water resource-based tourist attractions. This research was conducted from March 2022 to August 2023 in 9 districts/cities with tourist destinations. The method uses qualitative methods through field observations and literature studies. The results show that coastal tourism management must consider tourist attractions, carrying capacity, infrastructure, facilities, and services. Tourist attractions can motivate tourists to visit. Tourists find out about tourist destinations usually based on information from the internet, from friends/relatives, and social media. Clean water facilities at tourist locations are essential, especially during peak season. The sources of income for tourism managers comes from entrance tickets to tourist locations, sponsorships, and rides. The mode of transportation for domestic tourists is dominated by cars and motorbikes. Some examples of tourist attractions visited include tourism educational activities such as salt making, mangrove crab rearing of apartment system, fishing, culinary, sponsorship, lodging, swimming pools, fish therapy, photo boats, viewing panoramic views of beaches, mangroves, swimming, snorkeling and diving on coral reefs. Tourist destinations provide economic benefits and sources of income. Sustainable tourism promotes economic growth, social inclusion, environmental protection, and tourism governance.

Abstract

The significant tourism potential at Takari Beach must be managed well to attract tourists, including providing the crab apartment tourist attraction. Crab fattening activities using an apartment system at tourist locations can develop the mud crab (Scylla serrata) species. This is expected to increase visitor interest in educational tourism from the Takari Beach tourist destination. PKM activities aim to develop tourist attractions through the apartment system of fattening mangrove crabs (Scylla serrata) by KTH HKM Takari Bangka Belitung. This activity was carried out from May to November 2023 at Takari Beach, Rebo Village, Sungailiat District, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung. The method is carried out in a participatory manner that prioritizes the role and participation of the HKM Takari Manager as a supporter in the apartment system of mangrove crab fattening. The results show that the KTH HKM Takari Manager was given a business permit for forest utilization covering 59 Ha. Adding a tourist attraction in the form of mangrove crab (Scylla serrata) apartments on Takari Beach is an innovation the management can develop. Land preparation and construction of crab apartments was carried out over 3 months with 54 apartment boxes. The procurement of young mud crabs is managed by HKM Takari Management and purchased from fishermen who catch mud crabs, which are then fattened in the crab apartment. Measuring the length and weight of mud crabs, water quality, and substrate is very helpful in analyzing the growth and survival of mangrove crabs sustainably. Innovation in tourist attractions with apartment systems fattening mangrove crabs gives new enthusiasm to managers. The mangrove crab apartment tourist attraction is expected to support sustainable tourism management.

Abstract

Freshwater lobster (Cherax quadricarinatus) is one of the freshwater commodities that has the potential to be cultivated and has economic value. However, the problem still faced by farmers is the quality of feed which can affect low growth and survival. This research aims to analyze the growth performance of juvenile lobsters fed silk worms and rice flour. This research used 30 juvenile lobster samples measuring 1-3 cm (+ 1 inch) that were around 30 days old per aquarium. The parameters observed were body length, body weight, and survival rate (SR) of juvenile lobsters and the water parameters measured were pH, temperature, and total dissolved solids (TDS). The results of the research show that juvenile freshwater lobsters are able to consume silk worms and rice flour so that juvenile lobsters can be classified as omnivores. Feeding treatment in the form of a combination of silk worms and rice flour showed the best results for growth in length, weight and SR of juvenile freshwater lobsters. Juvenile growth during 32 days of rearing fed a combination of silkworm and rice flour resulted 4.30 cm + 0.02 cm in a length, 1.43 g + 0.01 g in weight, and SR 80%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of feed consumption, weight gain of cattle, and to calculate the population of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and pathogenic bacteria Escherichia coli and Salmonella in cattle feces in order to determine the effect of giving probiotics on the digestive system of cattle. The research object used was 10 bali cattle with a weight of about 90-120 kg. The data in this study were analyzed by experimental design using analysis of variance to determine the effect of giving probiotics to cattle feed on cattle weight gain. The treatment in question includes G0 with treatment in the form of feeding with a composition of 60% forage, 15% palm cake, 25% cassava, and 100 ml molasses. Meanwhile, G1 was treated with the same feed as G0, but added with 100 ml of probiotic Probio_FM. Based on the results of the study, it is known that probiotics given to cattle feed showed no significant effect on the level of feed consumption and body weight of cattle where cattle with non-probiotic feed had a higher average consumption level than cattle on probiotic feed. Furthermore, this causeed the average weight gain of non-probiotic cattle to be higher than that of probiotic cattle. In addition, it was known that the population of Lactic Acid Bacteria in the feces of probiotic cattle showed a higher number of LAB colonies compared to non-probiotic cattle with numeric values of 3.6x108, 3.3x109, and 2.7x1010. This proved that giving probiotics to bali cattle with a concentration of 100 ml / 100 kg of feed was able to increase the concentration of lactic acid bacteria in the digestive system.

Abstract

The coastal communities of Bangka Regency rely heavily on local resources, including marine fisheries and agricultural commodities. Besides being sold fresh, these commodities can also be processed into downstream products, such as renggining crackers. The purpose of the PKM activity is to empower the community by improving the skills of partners in making innovative squid-cassava renggining crackers. This activity was carried out from June to September 2025 at partner locations, namely Yayasan Lentera Orientasi Nusantara untuk Generasi Edukatif (Longe Foundation) in Balunijuk Village and SMAN 1 Merawang in Baturusa Village, Bangka Regency. The activity method was implemented using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach that emphasizes the active involvement of partners in every stage of the program. The training stages start from preparing ingredients, making dough, molding, steaming, drying, frying, to packaging. The results showed that technical training activities and demonstrations or direct practice related to the process of making squid-cassava renggining crackers were well understood by partners. Knowledge transfer to partners regarding local food processing included the transfer of knowledge, technical skills, and technology. Improving skills in the downstreaming of agricultural, marine, and fishery commodities is a concrete action in the effort to implement the agromaritime concept. Small-scale renggining production can improve partners' knowledge, such as recording costs and business results, developing packaging designs, strengthening entrepreneurial capacity, digital marketing, and local product branding strategies. Fried renggining was tested such as taste, aroma, appearance, texture, and testimonials so that partners were able to make renggining with quality improvements according to input obtained from testimonials. These renggining products also demonstrate increased economic added value, diversifying businesses and income sources, and strengthening the concept of coastal food security. Empowerment through an agromaritime approach not only strengthens partners' technical capacity but also leads to the formation of a local entrepreneurial ecosystem. Evaluations conducted in this community service include understanding raw material processing techniques, food sanitation and hygiene, dough formulation, and product packaging and storage techniques.
