Abstract

Rapid, precise and accurate identification and detection of strokes that occur outside the hospital, whether carried out by the patient or the patient's family, has a positive effect on the success of therapy and treatment programs. This educational activity aims to increase public knowledge about early detection of stroke with the FAST method in Simatorkis Sisoma Village, South Tapanuli Regency. The activities carried out consisted of measuring blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels, distributing knowledge questionnaires, followed by education. The number of participants is 30 people who are at high risk of stroke. The results of this activity found 24 people (80%) of the community with good knowledge category. Meanwhile, 6 people (20%) are in the category of less knowledge. This activity can be continued with more specific material related to swallowing disorders in stroke patients.

Abstract

Counseling activities and demonstrations on breast care in nursing mothers in the Puskesmas Labuhan Rasoki District Padangsidimpuan Southeast Padangsidimpuan city aims to increase the knowledge of nursing mothers about breast care in nursing mothers. Breast care during pregnancy is one of the important parts that should be considered as a preparation in breast-feeding. Community service is done by providing information about breast care and how to do breast care with the number of participants as many as 15 people. The results of the evaluation during the process of the activity was obtained almost all participants have understood and know how to do breast care that is bai and correct. With this health education, it is expected to improve the knowledge and skills of nursing mothers about payuadra care and how to do payuadara care so that nursing mothers do not experience interference in the breastfeeding process so that exclusive breastfeeding programs can be achieved.

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease according to the 1992 AND 1995 Household Health Survey (SKRT) is the biggest cause of death in Indonesia, one of which is hypertension (Yunis, 2003). This shows how serious the problem of increasing hypertension that is happening in Indonesia is, if not followed by an increase in health knowledge related to changes in people's behavior to prevent hypertension by staying away from hypertension risk factors. So based on the above problems, we intend to hold counseling on the prevention of hypertension by avoiding risk factors for the Correctional Center in Padangsidimpuan Class II B Prison in 2018. Extension activities were very enthusiastic in response to the assisted residents, seen from several assisted residents who asked related questions

Abstract

Drug abuse among adolescents is very concerning, especially among school age. Based on research results in 2020, it showed that 3.21% of students had used drugs or the equivalent of 2,297,492 students had abused drugs. Curiosity and trial and error occupy the top position by 64% as reason students take drugs. The rest were due to having fun (16.8%), being persuaded by friends (6.6%), being framed (2.3%), and personal stress factors (5.6%). It is not easy to unravel the problem of drug abuse among adolescents. One of efforts to reduce level of drug abuse among students is by providing information about dangers of drugs through outreach to schools. So that students become more alert and able to bridge themselves from snares of drugs. This activity is carried out with counseling, guidance and outreach about dangers of drugs and efforts to prevent drugs from entering Young Men of Simatorkis Sisoma Village so that all elements in the Simatorkis District can be aware of spread of drugs. The counseling media used is in form of Power Point which is easy for teenagers to see together and provides an understanding of the dangers of drugs both in the short and long term. The output of this programwas expected to be able to have an impact on the realization of schools that are free from drug trafficking and students who are clean from drug abuse.

Abstract

Hand sanitizer is an alcohol-based hand sanitizer product that can be in the form of a gel or liquid. Hand sanitizer can instantly kill germs without using water, can be used anytime and anywhere, for example after handling money, before eating and after eating. Hand sanitizer is an alternative to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus because it contains alcohol and other substances that can kill viruses that stick to the hands, especially in the area of ​​​​the hands. The form of hand sanitizer itself varies, ranging from gel, spray, to foam. The requirement for a hand sanitizer to be effective in killing germs and viruses is that it contains at least 60% alcohol. This community service program aims to distribute and implement hand washing with hand sanitizers in an effort to prevent covid-19 in the Aek Tampang village, South Padangsidimpuan District. The target of the outreach activities is the entire community in Environment III, Aek Tampang Village, South Padangsidimpuan District. The expected result of this service is that the community accepts and implements the use of Hand Sanitizer as a practical step for washing hands to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Abstract

Covid-19 is a disease caused by a new type of corona virus that appeared at the end of 2019 for the first time in Wuhan, China which is currently causing a pandemic in almost all over the world. In an effort to prevent the increasingly widespread transmission of Covid-19. The government urges all levels of society to take various preventive steps such as carrying out physical distancing, using masks, washing hands regularly, increasing endurance and maintaining health. The counseling activity for Covid 19 prevention efforts in the mosque area aims to increase knowledge and change the behavior of the community, especially mosque congregants so that they can continue to make efforts to prevent the transmission of Covid 19 during the 5 daily prayers and tarawih and tadarusan prayers which are held in mosques during this month of Ramadan. This activity consisted of some counseling and distribution of brochures and leaflets to mosque nazir and mosque congregations. The results of the evaluation during the activity process were obtained that 90% (19 participants) experienced an increase in knowledge related to efforts to prevent Covid 19. With this counseling, it is hoped that it will be able to increase the knowledge and behavior of the community to always make efforts to prevent Covid 19 in any activity.

Abstract

Gizi yang optimal sangat penting untuk pertumbuhan normal serta perkembangan fisik dan kecerdasan anak. Salah satu upaya menjaga gizi seimbang adalah menggunakan porsi makan "Isi Piringku" terdiri dari lima puluh persen buah dan sayur, dan lima puluh persen sisanya terdiri dari karbohidrat dan protein. Namun, masih sedikit ibu yang mengerti porsi seimbang isi piringku untuk kebutuhan gizi balita. Dampaknya angka stunting di Indonesia masih tinggi. Sebagai upaya mencegah stunting salah satunya adalah dengan mengedukasi Ibu mengenai isi piringku dan indikator kecukupan gizi balita. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang gizi, isi piringku dan stunting. Metode menggunakan teknik ceramah tanya jawab dan demonstrasi mengenai gizi balita, isi piringku dan stunting. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat dilihat dari pre dan post test pengetahuan ibu mengenai isi piringku, gizi dan stunting pada balita mengalami peningkatan. Ibu juga dapat mempraktikkan cara mengukur indikator kecukupan gizi dengan mengukur tinggi badan dibandingkan dengun berat badan sesuai dengan usia dan jenis kelamin. Tim pengabdian juga membagikan leaflet untuk peserta.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit yang prevalensinya terus meningkat.Hipertensi sering kali tidak menunjukkan gejala awal yang jelas, namun dapat menyebabkan komplikasi serius, sehingga termasuk penyakit yang mematikan atau disebut juga the silent killer.Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk melakukan pemeriksaan tekanan darah danpenyuluhan untuk mencegah penyakit hipertensi.Mitra pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu para masyarakat Desa Sihopur.Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah dengan metode diskusi menggunakan media leaflet dan mengecek langsung tekanan darah para masyarakat yang ikut kegiatan ini. Hasil pemeriksaan tekanan darah menunjukkan 20% masyarakat yang mengikuti kegiatan ini memiliki tekanan darah lebih dari 140/90 mmHg.Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini diharapkan menjadi salah satu sarana penyampaian informasi untuk menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan masyarakat , sehingga dapat diaplikasikan pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Abstract

Management of pharmaceutical preparations through pharmaceutical services at community health centers includes several activities, namely planning, procurement, receiving, storage, distribution and control. The aim of this research is to find out the mechanism for managing pharmaceutical preparations at the Batunadua Community Health Center. This research uses an observational descriptive method. The population and sample in this study is all drug management data which includes planning, procurement, receipt, storage, distribution and control of the Batunadua Community Health Center in 2023. The place and time of the research was at the Batunadua Community Health Center, Padangsidimpuan City in May-June 2024. The instruments used were observation checklist sheet and interview sheet. The results obtained from this research are the planning stage with 100% results, procurement with 100% results, receipt with 100% results, storage with 80% results, distribution with 100% results and control with 100% results. The conclusion of this research is that the management of pharmaceutical preparations at the Batunadua Community Health Center is in accordance with Minister of Health Regulation no. 74 of 2016.

Abstract

Enam langkah cuci tangan yang baik dan benar merupakan salah satu indikator perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Sehingga anak sekolah dasar wajib mengetahui dan melaksanakan cuci tangan dengan baik untuk menjaga kesehatannya. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan Pendidikan kesehatan untuk siswa sekolah dasar mengenai cara melaksanakan cuci tangan yang baik dan benar dengan 6 langkah. Target khusus adalah Anak SD N 100204 Desa Sihopur, melalui kegiatan ini Anak-anak SD N 100204 Desa Sihopur mengetahui cara cuci tangan yang baik dan benar dengan 6 (enam) langkah. Metode yang digunakan dalam pencapaian tujuan adalah penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah tanya jawab (CTJ) kepada sasaran dan Anak SD N 100204 Desa Sihopur Kecamatan Angkola Selatan. Hasilnya bahwa hampir seluruh sasaran dapat melakukan enam langkah cuci tangan yang benar dan mengetahui waktu kegiatan cuci tangan dilakukan baik sebelum dan sesudah makan.
