Abstract

Technology drives the development of interactive and customizable learning media, catering to diverse learner needs. The learning media in locomotor motion educational game applications in PE learning is the result of this research. This research develops interactive learning media using Construct 2 software on locomotor motion material for third graders students. This research applies the Brog and Gall model of research and development (R&D), involving media experts, material experts, physical education (PE) teachers, and students. The practicality test engaged PE teachers from three distinct schools, yielding an impressive average score of 98.89%, indicative of excellent practicality. The development of Construct 2-based learning media has proven very feasible to be used as an interactive learning media to increase student interest and participation in locomotor motion learning, creating an attractive and relevant learning atmosphere with the demands of today's all-digital era.

Abstract

Lack of integration of life skills in training can result in athletes having high technical skills but lacking the ability to adapt and cooperate in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the impact of integration and non-integration of life skills in training on improving shooting skills in basketball. This experimental research was conducted involving 20 basketball players as samples. The collected data will be analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. This research uses an independent t-test and ANOVA. The study showed a significant increase in shooting accuracy and technique in the experimental group, which received integrated life skills, compared to the control group. These findings indicate that a holistic training approach that includes aspects of life skills can positively improve technical abilities in basket ball sports. Based on these results, this study recommends that trainers consider integrating life skills into training programs. This supports improving the athlete's technical skills and contributes to a more holistic development of the athlete, which includes aspects of valuable life skills. The implications of this research can help deepen understanding of how the integration of life skills can influence various aspects of sports performance.

Abstract

Abstract

Background Problems: The level of skills at this time is optimally needed, especially for students because it can be a selling point for them, but the skills of these students are still very underestimated because there has been no innovation to find out the skill level of current students. Research Objectives: The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of direct and indirect assistance and learning motivation on handstand skills. Methods: This research model is a quasi-experiment with a factorial design with 2 x 2 levels. The population of this study was 106 people, and the sample size was 40 people using the ordinally mathematical pairing technique. Collecting data on learning motivation using a questionnaire and handstand skills using a handstand skills test. Data were analysed using a two-way ANOVA at a significance level of α = 0.05 and the Shapiro-Wilk Sig normality test > 0.05. Furthermore, because no interaction was found between assistance with motivation and handstand skills, the Tukey test was not carried out. Findings and Results: The results of the data analysis show: (i) Overall, there is no difference in the influence of assisted handstand skills; (ii) There is no interaction between assistance and learning motivation on handstand skills; and (iii) Directly assisted handstand skills are no better than indirect assistance in learning. high learning motivation group, (iv) Indirect assistance handstand skills were better compared to direct assistance in the low learning motivation group. Conclusion: These findings are important because they provide information about handstand skills in the form of assistance that may be useful for teachers and students in improving handstand skills. This research shows that there is no significant difference between direct and indirect assistance in improving handstand skills. The recommendation for future research is to expand the sample and consider individual factors among students.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of low level of kedeng smash ability in BBTC sepaktakraw athletes in Padang City which has not met expectations. The purpose of this study was to investigate in depth the kedeng smash ability possessed by BBTC sepaktakraw athletes in Padang City. The research method used is a descriptive type, with a population of all BBTC Sepaktakraw Club athletes in Padang City who are actively training, consisting of 16 boys and 7 girls, a total of 23 people. Samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques, so it involved ten BBTC sepaktakraw athletes from Padang City who had the role of smashers. The research instrument used is a test of kedeng's smash ability. The collected data were analyzed using frequency distribution techniques with percentage calculations (P = F/N x100%). The results of the analysis showed that the smash ability of sepaktakraw Club BBTC athletes in Padang City was in the less category. These findings provide a clear picture of the level of technical skill of the athletes, particularly in the aspect of kedeng smashes. In an effort to improve athletes' abilities, this research provides a solid foundation for the development of more targeted and effective training programs. With a deep understanding of weaknesses in kedeng's smash ability, coaches and club managers can devise more specific training strategies to improve athletes' performance. The implications of this research not only enrich the literature in the world of sepaktakraw sports, but also contribute directly to improving the achievements of BBTC Kota Padang athletes in the competition arena.

Abstract

Smash performance in volleyball is a complex motor skill influenced by lower-limb explosive power, hand–eye coordination, and trunk flexibility. This systematic literature review (2018–2025) synthesized 15 studies from international and national databases using PRISMA guidelines. Findings indicate that explosive leg strength drives take-off height, angle of attack, and initial momentum, with rate of force development and coordination patterns mediating mid-air stability. Hand–eye coordination critically supports timing accuracy and directional control, while trunk flexibility enables efficient energy transfer and arm acceleration. Effective smash execution emerges from the interaction of force production, neurosensory control, and segmental mobility. Training programs should adopt multidimensional approaches integrating plyometrics, visual-motor drills, and flexibility exercises, tailored to developmental stage and individual needs, with assessments guiding prioritization. Future research should evaluate combined interventions and performance transfer in competitive settings.

Abstract

This systematic literature review examines how differentiated instruction, physical fitness, and learning motivation independently and interactively influence learning outcomes in physical education (PE). Drawing on peer-reviewed national and international studies published between 2018 and 2025, the review synthesizes evidence related to pedagogical practices, students’ physical readiness, and motivational processes in school-based PE. The findings indicate that differentiated instruction consistently enhances engagement and learning readiness, although its direct effects on psychomotor outcomes, particularly at the secondary level, remain limited. Physical fitness shows a stable association with motor performance and participation, while autonomous motivation supports sustained effort and persistence. However, most studies examine these factors in isolation, offering limited insight into their combined effects. This review highlights a clear gap in integrative research and underscores the need for comprehensive instructional models that align pedagogical, physiological, and motivational dimensions to improve PE learning outcomes.
