Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze inheritance conflicts and their resolution mechanisms within the customary community through the perspective of maqashid sharia. The research focuses on the interacti on between customary law and Islamic law, as well as their implicatio ns for social justice and community harmony. The findings reveal that inheritance conflicts in Batuatas Timur generally arise from differenc es in perceptions regarding asset distribution, particularly between customary principles and Islamic legal norms. However, the resolution process is carried out through deliberation involving customary leade rs and religious figures, resulting in decisions that are not only conside red just according to local customs but also possess moral legitimacy in accordance with Islamic law. This process demonstrates a synergy between customary and Islamic law, which contrasts with previous studies that highlighted the dominance of one legal system over the other. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through direct observation of inheritan ce distribution practices, indepth interviews with customary leaders, religious authorities, and community figures, as well as documentation from village archives and records.

Abstract

Introduction: Moringa (Moringa oleifera) leaves are rich in nutrients and phytochemicals that may enhance lactation performance. Breastfeeding mothers often experience inadequate milk production, and moringa supplementation has been explored as a potential natural galactagogue. Methods: This systematic review aimed to analyze the effects of moringa leaf consumption on breast milk quantity in lactating mothers. A comprehensive search was conducted using databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar for studies published between 2015 and 2025. Inclusion criteria encompassed randomized controlled trials and observational studies evaluating moringa leaf preparations (powder, extract, or capsules) compared with placebo or standard care. Data extraction focused on milk volume, lactation duration, and maternal nutritional outcomes. Results: Across the included studies, supplementation with moringa leaves consistently increased milk production. Most trials reported a significant increase in milk volume during the first 2 weeks postpartum compared with control groups (p < 0.05). Phytochemical components, such as flavonoids and saponins, in moringa are believed to stimulate prolactin secretion and enhance maternal nutrition. However, variations in dosage, preparation form, and study design led to moderate heterogeneity across studies. Conclusion: Moringa leaf consumption significantly enhances breast milk quantity among lactating mothers. Its use as a natural galactagogue holds promise in improving breastfeeding success and maternal nutrition, particularly in low-resource settings. Moringa leaf supplements can be recommended as a natural galactagogue for breastfeeding mothers, in conjunction with a balanced diet and adequate hydration, to support milk production and infant health.

Abstract

Introduction: Nutritional status in children under five remains a critical public health concern, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Socioeconomic and educational factors play a pivotal role in determining nutritional outcomes. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between socioeconomic status, parental education, and the nutritional status of children aged five and under. Methods: A cross-sectional design was employed, involving 150 children aged 6–59 months. Data were collected through structured questionnaires assessing parental education, household income, and other demographic factors. Nutritional status was assessed using anthropometric indicators, including weight-for-age, height-for-age, and weight-for-height, based on the WHO growth standards. Data analysis used chi-square and logistic regression to identify significant associations. Results: The study found that 32% of children were undernourished, with 18% stunted and 14% underweight. Children from low-income families and those whose mothers had only a primary education were more likely to experience malnutrition (p < 0.05). Maternal education emerged as the strongest predictor of a child’s nutritional status after controlling for income and occupation. Conclusion: Socioeconomic and educational factors are significant determinants of nutritional status in children under the age of five. Improving parental education, especially among mothers, and addressing poverty are essential to combating malnutrition. Strengthen community-based nutrition education programs, promote women’s education, and develop poverty reduction strategies to ensure equitable access to nutritious food and healthcare services.

Abstract

Central Sulawesi lies within a seismically active region, particularly along subduction zones and fault lines that extend across both marine and terrestrial domains. This area has experienced several major earthquakes, resulting in substantial physical destruction, human casualties, and profound socio-economic repercussions. Consequently, targeted educational initiatives are essential to enhance community resilience and preparedness. Among various approaches, simulation-based training stands out as an effective strategy, offering participants hands-on experience in managing emergency scenarios. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of simulation-based education on earthquake disaster preparedness among adolescents.Employing a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group approach, the research involved 45 participants in the intervention group and 45 in the control group. Data analysis utilized the Wilcoxon signed-rank test for within-group comparisons and the Mann-Whitney U test for between-group differences, with statistical significance set at p < 0.05. The Mann-Whitney U test on pre-intervention data yielded a p-value of 0.267 (p > 0.05), indicating no significant difference in baseline earthquake preparedness between the groups. In contrast, post-intervention analysis revealed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), demonstrating a statistically significant divergence in preparedness levels between the intervention and control groups. These findings suggest that simulation-based education positively influences earthquake preparedness among adolescents at SMP Negeri 7 Palu. It is anticipated that such interventions will bolster students' knowledge, attitudes, and practical behaviors toward earthquake mitigation, thereby improving their capacity for self-rescue during seismic events.

Abstract

Improving educational quality during the Merdeka Curriculum era necessitates strategic, data-driven resource management to address policy shifts and student needs. This study aims to analyze school strategic management in enhancing educational quality through Data-Based Planning (DBP) at SMA Negeri 3 Unggul Sigli, Aceh. Employing a qualitative descriptive case study design, data were gathered via in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and stakeholders. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that strategic management is systematically executed through environmental scanning, formulation, implementation, and evaluation all integrated with Education Report Card (ERC) data. Environmental analysis identified strengths in teacher professionalism and academic culture, while formulation is conducted participatively through the Identification, Reflection, and Improvement (IRB) cycle. Strategy implementation focuses on numeracy-literacy programs, differentiated instruction, and the Profil Pelajar Pancasila project. Evaluation and control are performed continuously through routine monitoring and academic audits. The integration of DBP has significantly improved planning accuracy and instructional effectiveness, evidenced by an upward trend in the school’s ERC outcomes. This research concludes that DBP is not merely a technical tool but a strategic managerial practice that drives sustainable quality transformation. This study provides a novel framework for school leaders to transition from intuitive to evidence-based management within the Merdeka Curriculum ecosystem. For long-term impact, schools must consistently optimize data-driven governance to ensure academic resilience and institutional excellence.

Abstract

Anemia has detrimental intergenerational consequences, including adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes, increased risks of mortality and morbidity, and impaired cognitive and motor development in children. These consequences, based on maternal status, indicate that anemia remains a major public health concern. This study aimed to analyze the effect of green spinach leaf vegetable consumption on changes in hemoglobin levels among pregnant women with anemia. A quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest group design was employed. The intervention involved administering 200 grams of green spinach vegetable daily for 7 days while temporarily discontinuing iron (Fe) tablet supplementation during the study period. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, involving 10 pregnant women diagnosed with anemia. The dependent variable was anemia, and the independent variable was the consumption of green spinach vegetables. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test and paired t-test to assess differences in hemoglobin levels before and after the intervention and to determine the effect of green spinach consumption on hemoglobin level changes in anemic pregnant women. The findings showed that the mean hemoglobin level before the intervention was 9.91 g/dL with a standard deviation of 0.612, which increased to a mean of 11.70 g/dL with a standard deviation of 0.878 after the intervention. The p-value was 0.000, which is less than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant increase in hemoglobin levels following the consumption of green spinach.
