Abstract

The background of this research is learning models that are limited in variation, which makes the students less active, especially in questioning skills. Because of that, this research has a purpose to find out the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) on students questioning skills. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental method and a non- equivalent control group design. The subjects of this research are 70 grade XI students in MAN 2 Samarinda, including class XI-B as the experimental class and class XI-A as the control class. The instruments used in this research are interviewing the teacher, observing the learning activities, and an assessment rubric of students questioning skills. The results of this research showed that students questioning skills in the experimental class increased significantly compared to the control class, as shown by the Mann-Whitney U test with a significance value of 0.015 < 0.05. The number of questions from students in the experimental class was more varied (20 questions) compared to the control class, which had fewer questions (5 questions). The conclusion is that the implementation of the TPACK based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model has a positive effect on students questioning skills in the cell material of Grade XI.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model on biodiversity materials based on QuizWhizzer game media on the motivation and learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Samarinda. The research method used was a quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of 25 students in grades VII-D as an experimental class using the QuizWhizzer-based TGT model, and 25 students in class VII-F as a control class using the discovery learning model. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of the application of the QuizWhizzer-based TGT model on student motivation and learning outcomes. Based on the results of the t-test, a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05 was obtained which showed a significant influence on learning outcomes. The results of the N-Gain test showed an increase in learning outcomes in the medium category, with an average increase in the experimental class of 0.43, while the control class was 0.35. In addition, the results of the Mann-Whitney test on learning motivation showed a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05 which means that there is a significant difference between the two classes. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model based on QuizWhizzer media has a significant effect on increasing student motivation and learning outcomes. This model has also been proven to increase students' interest in the learning process through fun game elements.

Abstract

Analysis of Student Learning Difficulties in Learning Biology on Virus Material for Class XI SMAN 5 Samarinda in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This research aims to describe and analyze learning difficulties and the factors that cause students' learning difficulties in viral material. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The technique used in sampling in this research was purposive sampling with classes XI-2 and XI-3. The data analysis method in this research is descriptive statistics for analysis. The results of this research show that the factors causing students' learning difficulties come from internal factors amounting to 69% and external factors amounting to 65% belonging to the high influential criteria. The factor that causes the highest learning difficulties from internal factors is the talent indicator at 79%, while the factor that causes the highest learning difficulties from external factors is the teacher-student relationship indicator at 77%.

Abstract

Shading causes differences in light intensity that trigger physiological and morphological variations in leaves, including stomata density and size as a form of adaptation to balance photosynthesis and transpiration. This phenomenon is the basis for selecting the research, because it illustrates the adaptive ability of plants to changes in the microenvironment in their natural habitat. This study aims to analyze the density and size of stomata of dicotyledonous plants growing in shaded and open areas in the Sempaja Arboretum. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with samples of several dicotyledonous plant species growing in shaded and open areas. Data were obtained through microscopic observation of leaf epidermis preparations using direct section techniques, optilab, and image raster 3. Statistical analysis showed that the density of stomata in open areas was higher (480 stomata/mm²) than in shaded areas (323 stomata/mm²). However, the size of the stomata did not show a consistent pattern; The average length (25.21 µm) and width (18.45 µm) of stomata in the shaded area were slightly larger than those in the open area (24.16 µm and 17.18 µm). These results indicate that high light intensity encourages increased stomatal density as an adaptive mechanism to support photosynthesis.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology encourages the change in crime patterns from conventional to digital through the use of electronic devices. This phenomenon makes many individuals and groups use technology not only for positive purposes, but also to gain financial gain illegally. Instagram as one of the most popular social media applications has also become a space for digital crime practices, especially through the creation of fake accounts. Fake accounts are used for various harmful acts such as online fraud, the spread of fake news, the use of identities or photos without permission, acts of bullying and negative comments that trigger conflicts, to the spread of pornographic content. This research aims to identify the forms of fake account practices on Instagram, analyze the causative factors, and evaluate the application of applicable laws, especially Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. The research method used is empirical legal research with a qualitative approach. The data was collected through interviews with investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, academics, and civil society organizations (CSO). The results of the study show that the practice of fake accounts still often occurs due to low digital literacy, weak supervision from platforms, and not optimal law enforcement. Although Article 35 jo Article 51 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law has regulated the prohibition of data and identity manipulation, its implementation still faces a number of obstacles from aspects of legal substance, enforcement structure, and community legal culture. This study recommends the need for collaboration between the government and social media platforms in limiting the creation of fake accounts, improving people's digital literacy, and reformulating legal rules that are clearer and more adaptive to the dynamics of digital crime. These efforts are needed so that the protection of social media users is optimal and able to create a safe digital space.

Abstract

Tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.) merupakan jenis tanaman yang hidup di daerah dataran tinggi. Dengan memanfaatkan limbah organik sebagai pupuk organik cair dapat membantu produksi skala rumahan untuk tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.) di daerah dataran rendah. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengkaji pengaruh serta kadar optimal pupuk organik cair urine kelinci dan kulit pisang kepok (Musa paradisiaca) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.) di dataran rendah. Urine kelinci yang mengandung unsur N, P & K tinggi dan kulit pisang kepok (Musa paradisiaca) dengan kandungan Ca, N, P dan K yang dianggap dapat memenuhi unsur hara yang diperlukan dalam pertumbuhan tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.). Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktorial yang terdiri dari 16 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan dengan parameter yaitu tinggi tanaman(cm), jumlah daun(helai), dan berat basah(gram). Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan K1P3 memberikan pengaruh dengan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman dan perlakuan K2P2 memberikan pengaruh terhadap jumlah daun dan berat buah dari tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.)

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis J.) dan kotoran burung walet (Collocalia vestita) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 16 kombinasi perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah buah, dan berat basah buah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi perlakuan pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit 75 gram dan kotoran burung walet 20 gram memberikan hasil terbaik pada semua parameter. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi kedua jenis pupuk organik tersebut mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman dan hasil panen secara signifikan. Kandungan unsur hara yang dibutuhkan tanaman dalam jumlah besar maupun kecil, seperti nitrogen (N), fosfor (P), kalium (K), dan C-organik, berperan dalam mendukung proses penting dalam tubuh tanaman seperti pembuatan makanan (fotosintesis), pembentukan sel baru, serta perkembangan dan pengisian buah. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan alternatif pemupukan yang ramah lingkungan, memanfaatkan limbah pertanian dan peternakan, serta mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan dan ketahanan pangan.
