Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model on biodiversity materials based on QuizWhizzer game media on the motivation and learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Samarinda. The research method used was a quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of 25 students in grades VII-D as an experimental class using the QuizWhizzer-based TGT model, and 25 students in class VII-F as a control class using the discovery learning model. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of the application of the QuizWhizzer-based TGT model on student motivation and learning outcomes. Based on the results of the t-test, a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05 was obtained which showed a significant influence on learning outcomes. The results of the N-Gain test showed an increase in learning outcomes in the medium category, with an average increase in the experimental class of 0.43, while the control class was 0.35. In addition, the results of the Mann-Whitney test on learning motivation showed a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05 which means that there is a significant difference between the two classes. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model based on QuizWhizzer media has a significant effect on increasing student motivation and learning outcomes. This model has also been proven to increase students' interest in the learning process through fun game elements.

Abstract

Analysis of Student Learning Difficulties in Learning Biology on Virus Material for Class XI SMAN 5 Samarinda in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This research aims to describe and analyze learning difficulties and the factors that cause students' learning difficulties in viral material. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The technique used in sampling in this research was purposive sampling with classes XI-2 and XI-3. The data analysis method in this research is descriptive statistics for analysis. The results of this research show that the factors causing students' learning difficulties come from internal factors amounting to 69% and external factors amounting to 65% belonging to the high influential criteria. The factor that causes the highest learning difficulties from internal factors is the talent indicator at 79%, while the factor that causes the highest learning difficulties from external factors is the teacher-student relationship indicator at 77%.

Abstract

Shading causes differences in light intensity that trigger physiological and morphological variations in leaves, including stomata density and size as a form of adaptation to balance photosynthesis and transpiration. This phenomenon is the basis for selecting the research, because it illustrates the adaptive ability of plants to changes in the microenvironment in their natural habitat. This study aims to analyze the density and size of stomata of dicotyledonous plants growing in shaded and open areas in the Sempaja Arboretum. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with samples of several dicotyledonous plant species growing in shaded and open areas. Data were obtained through microscopic observation of leaf epidermis preparations using direct section techniques, optilab, and image raster 3. Statistical analysis showed that the density of stomata in open areas was higher (480 stomata/mm²) than in shaded areas (323 stomata/mm²). However, the size of the stomata did not show a consistent pattern; The average length (25.21 µm) and width (18.45 µm) of stomata in the shaded area were slightly larger than those in the open area (24.16 µm and 17.18 µm). These results indicate that high light intensity encourages increased stomatal density as an adaptive mechanism to support photosynthesis.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology encourages the change in crime patterns from conventional to digital through the use of electronic devices. This phenomenon makes many individuals and groups use technology not only for positive purposes, but also to gain financial gain illegally. Instagram as one of the most popular social media applications has also become a space for digital crime practices, especially through the creation of fake accounts. Fake accounts are used for various harmful acts such as online fraud, the spread of fake news, the use of identities or photos without permission, acts of bullying and negative comments that trigger conflicts, to the spread of pornographic content. This research aims to identify the forms of fake account practices on Instagram, analyze the causative factors, and evaluate the application of applicable laws, especially Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. The research method used is empirical legal research with a qualitative approach. The data was collected through interviews with investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, academics, and civil society organizations (CSO). The results of the study show that the practice of fake accounts still often occurs due to low digital literacy, weak supervision from platforms, and not optimal law enforcement. Although Article 35 jo Article 51 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law has regulated the prohibition of data and identity manipulation, its implementation still faces a number of obstacles from aspects of legal substance, enforcement structure, and community legal culture. This study recommends the need for collaboration between the government and social media platforms in limiting the creation of fake accounts, improving people's digital literacy, and reformulating legal rules that are clearer and more adaptive to the dynamics of digital crime. These efforts are needed so that the protection of social media users is optimal and able to create a safe digital space.

Abstract

Tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.) merupakan jenis tanaman yang hidup di daerah dataran tinggi. Dengan memanfaatkan limbah organik sebagai pupuk organik cair dapat membantu produksi skala rumahan untuk tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.) di daerah dataran rendah. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengkaji pengaruh serta kadar optimal pupuk organik cair urine kelinci dan kulit pisang kepok (Musa paradisiaca) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.) di dataran rendah. Urine kelinci yang mengandung unsur N, P & K tinggi dan kulit pisang kepok (Musa paradisiaca) dengan kandungan Ca, N, P dan K yang dianggap dapat memenuhi unsur hara yang diperlukan dalam pertumbuhan tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.). Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktorial yang terdiri dari 16 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan dengan parameter yaitu tinggi tanaman(cm), jumlah daun(helai), dan berat basah(gram). Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan K1P3 memberikan pengaruh dengan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman dan perlakuan K2P2 memberikan pengaruh terhadap jumlah daun dan berat buah dari tanaman stroberi (Fragaria sp.)

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis J.) dan kotoran burung walet (Collocalia vestita) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 16 kombinasi perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah buah, dan berat basah buah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi perlakuan pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit 75 gram dan kotoran burung walet 20 gram memberikan hasil terbaik pada semua parameter. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi kedua jenis pupuk organik tersebut mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman dan hasil panen secara signifikan. Kandungan unsur hara yang dibutuhkan tanaman dalam jumlah besar maupun kecil, seperti nitrogen (N), fosfor (P), kalium (K), dan C-organik, berperan dalam mendukung proses penting dalam tubuh tanaman seperti pembuatan makanan (fotosintesis), pembentukan sel baru, serta perkembangan dan pengisian buah. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan alternatif pemupukan yang ramah lingkungan, memanfaatkan limbah pertanian dan peternakan, serta mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan dan ketahanan pangan.

Abstract

  Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) is an abundant aquatic plant in South Kalimantan and has potential as an alternative feed, but its high crude fiber content is an obstacle to its use in poultry. Fermentation using Effective Microorganisms-4 (EM4) can improve the digestibility of this material. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of adding fermented water hyacinth to the diet on the performance of male Alabio ducks. The study used a completely randomized design with three treatments, namely P0 (0% fermented water hyacinth), P1 (20%), and P2 (30%), each with six replicates. The parameters observed included body weight gain, feed intake, and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The results showed that the control treatment produced the highest body weight gain, while feed intake increased with increasing levels of fermented water hyacinth. The best FCR value was obtained in the P0 (control) treatment, while the addition of 20–30% fermented water hyacinth increased feed intake but was not followed by an increase in feed utilization efficiency. It was concluded that the use of fermented water hyacinth in the Alabio Ducks (Anas platyrhynchos Borneo) ration needs to be limited to the optimal level in order to maintain productivity and feed efficiency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang belum optimal di sekolah dasar, padahal media tersebut memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar murid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar murid sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur (library research) dengan menelaah berbagai buku serta jurnal ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang terbit dalam kurun waktu lima hingga sepuluh tahun terakhir. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik dokumentasi dengan menggunakan kata kunci yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis) untuk mengidentifikasi pola, hubungan, dan temuan utama dari berbagai sumber. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, seperti video pembelajaran interaktif, platform pembelajaran daring, dan aplikasi kuis berbasis permainan, berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar murid. Peningkatan motivasi tersebut tercermin dari keterlibatan, perhatian, dan antusiasme murid yang lebih tinggi selama proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi juga berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar melalui kemudahan pemahaman materi yang disajikan secara visual dan interaktif. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi secara terintegrasi lebih efektif dibandingkan penggunaan media secara terpisah. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya optimalisasi pemanfaatan media berbasis teknologi oleh guru, didukung oleh ketersediaan sarana serta peningkatan kompetensi digital pendidik di sekolah dasar. This study is motivated by the suboptimal utilization of technology-based learning media in elementary schools, despite their potential to enhance students’ motivation and learning achievement. The study aims to analyze the effectiveness of technology-based learning media in improving motivation and academic achievement of elementary school students. This research employed a literature study (library research) design by reviewing books and national and international scientific journals published within the last five to ten years. Data were collected through documentation techniques using relevant keywords related to technology-based learning media, learning motivation, and learning achievement of elementary school students. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis to identify patterns, relationships, and key findings from previous studies. The results indicate that technology-based learning media, such as interactive learning videos, online learning platforms, and game-based quiz applications, have a positive impact on increasing students’ learning motivation. Increased motivation is reflected in students’ higher engagement, attention, and enthusiasm during the learning process. Furthermore, technology-based media also contribute to improving students’ learning achievement by facilitating better understanding of learning materials through visual and interactive presentations. The study concludes that the integrated use of various technology-based learning media is more effective than the use of a single medium. The findings imply that teachers need to optimize the integration of technology-based media in learning activities, supported by adequate facilities and improved digital competencies, to create meaningful and motivating learning experiences for elementary school students.

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pembuatan ecobrick dan pelatihan pembuatan banana roll sebagai inisiatif pengembangan masyarakat di Desa Teupin Ara, Kecamatan Tenom, Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Ecobrick, yang merupakan botol plastik yang diisi dengan sampah plastik untuk membentuk bata ramah lingkungan, bertujuan mengurangi limbah plastik dan mempromosikan konstruksi berkelanjutan. Sementara itu, pelatihan pembuatan banana roll fokus pada pengembangan produk makanan lokal berbasis pisang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan warga dan potensi ekonomi desa.Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran lingkungan, produksi ecobrick yang siap pakai, serta kemampuan warga dalam membuat banana roll sebagai produk bernilai jual. Abstract Ecobrick-making activities and banana roll training are part of a community development initiative in Teupin Ara village, Teunom District, Aceh Jaya Regency. Ecobricks which are plastic bottles filled with plastic waste to form eco-friendly bricks, aim to reduce plastic waste and promote sustainable construction. Meanwhile, the banana roll training focuses on developing local banana-based food products to improve community skills and the village’s economic potential. The results show increased environmental awareness, ready to use ecobrick production, and residents’ ability to make banana rolls as a marketable product. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of keji beling leaf extract (Strobilanthes crispus) and singkil leaf (Premna corymbose Rottl. et Willd) on the intensity of insect pest attacks on green eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with five treatments, namely control (water) and a combination of extracts at concentrations of 25%, 40%, 55%, and 70%, each repeated five times. The extract was made by maceration method using water as a solvent and additional natural adhesive (3 g detergent). Application was carried out twice per week, and the intensity of insect pest attacks was observed on days 11, 25, 39, and 53 DAP. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at a significance level of 1%. The results showed that the combination of extracts had a very significant effect on the intensity of insect pest attacks (F count > F table). The 70% concentration gave the lowest attack intensity, which was around 15%. This combination of extracts has the potential to be an environmentally friendly botanical pesticide for controlling insect pests on green eggplant plants.
