Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan Kepala Sekolah dalam membina hubungan dengan guru untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini Kepala Sekolah dan 15 orang guru yang mewakili masing-masing kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan pengambilan kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) ditinjau dari keterampilan teknis Kepala Sekolah mampu mengelola sekolah dan menetapkan arah sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan dengan cara merumuskan visi, misi dan tujuan pencapaian yang telah direncanakan; 2) ditinjau dari keterampilan hubungan manusia Kepala Sekolah mampu memberikan pandangan strategi bagi guru dalam melaksanakan tugas, dan 3) ditinjau dari keterampilan konseptual Kepala Sekolah mampu dan berperan serta dalam kegiatan-kegiatan di sekolah.

Abstract

Cancer is the second cause of death after cardiovascular diseases in the world. Anticancer prevention used can cause undesirable things. Flavonoids are secondary metabolites derived from natural products that are useful for anticancer treatment. This study was performed to observe the cytotoxic activity of alpinumisoflavone from Erythrina poeppigiana, toward cervical cancer (Hela), colon cancer (WiDr), and hepatoma cancer (HepG2) cells. The cytotoxic activity of alpinumisoflavone was tested using (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay. The percentage of cell mortality was calculated and the IC50 was calculated using probit analysis. The result shown that alpinumisoflavone has antiproliferative effect to colon cancer (WiDr), cervical cancer (Hela), and hepatoma cancer (HepG2) cells with the value of IC50 are 5.63, 7.18, and 18.08 µg/ml, respectively. Based on the value of IC50 alpinumisoflavone is very cytotoxic to colon cancer WiDr cell.

Abstract

Two flavanoid compounds, catechin (1) and epicatechin (2), have been isolated from the stembark of Chisocheton pentandrus. The chemical structure of compounds1and2were identified byspectroscopic data including, UV, IR, NMR (1H, 13C, DEPT 135°, HMQC, HMBC, 1H-1H COSY) and MS and by comparing with previously reported spectral data. Compounds 1 and 2, were isolated in this plant for first time and showed no cytotoxic activity against MCF-7 breast cancer cells.

Abstract

A new antiplasmodial compound, 2-(3H-diazirine-3-yl)benzaldehyde (1), has been isolated from the Papuan marine sponge Xestospongia sp. The structure elucidation of compound 1 was determined by spectroscopic evidences including UV, IR, MS, 1D and 2D-NMR analysis. Compound 1 showed moderate antiplasmodial activity against Plasmodium falciparum with IC50 value of 1.08 x 10-6 mM. DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.15408/jkv.v4i1.6735

Abstract

Pirdot plant(Saurauia vulcani. Kurth)is a plant that grows naturally in a tropical climate. During this decoction pirdot leaves plants are used by the people to treat diabetes disease. The purpose of this study was to isolate triterpenoid compound from ethyl acetate extract of pirdot leaves. The sample extraction was performed by total of maceration method using ethyl acetate as a solvent. The separation and purification of the compound was carried out by column chromatography method followed by stain pattern analysis with thin layer chromatography (TLC). Structure characterization of pure compound was determined using UV, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT 135º, HMQC, HMBC, 1H-1H COSY and MS spectroscopies including compared with various literatures. Based on the analysis result, the pure isolate obtained was identified as a pentacyclic triterpenoid compound, 3-hydroxy acid, 12(13)-en,28-oleanolate acid with the molecular formula C30H48O3. The triterpenoid compound of pentacyclic oleanolic acid is the first reported from the pirdot plant (Saurauia vulcani. Kurth).

Abstract

Cancer is a disease that is the leading cause of death worlwide. Exploration of a natural product containing anticancer agent provides a promising line for research on cancer. One of plant that used in traditional medicine for the cancer treatment is Moringa oleifera. The previous study has reported that the n-hexane fraction of M. oleifera leaves induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in T47D cells. Based on the preliminary result, ethyl acetate fraction of M. oleifera (EMO) leaves showed medium cytotoxic activity on T47D cells with IC50 values of 243.58 μg/mL and induced apoptosis cell death. This study was carried out to investigate the anticancer activity mechanism on the cellular and molecular basis of EMO against T47D breast cancer cell line by observing cell cycle progression and Cyclin D1 expression level. Analysis of the cell cycle was performed using flow cytometry and cyclin D1 expression was analyzed using the immunocytochemistry method. The result shows that EMO induced cell cycle arrest in G0/G1 phases. Immunocytochemistry assay showed that the EMO decreased expression of  cyclin D1. This result indicates that EMO has a potential compound to be explored as chemo preventive agent for breast cancer.

Abstract

Phenolic compounds such as kaempferol (1), quercetin (2), and methyl caffeate (3) have been isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of Kalanchoe prolifera (Crassulaceae). Abstract

Dalam penelitian berkelanjutan untuk pencarian senyawa metabolit sekunder baru dari tumbuhan Kalanchoe Indonesia, telah dilakukan kajian fitokimia terhadap Kalanchoe serrata. Daun segar K. serrata sebanyak 14,8 kg diekstraksi dengan metanol pada temperatur kamar. Ekstrak metanol (292 g) dipartisi berturut-turut dengan n-heksana dan metilenklorida. Ekstrak metilenklorida (0,80 g) selanjutnya dipisahkan pada kromatografi cair vakum pada silika gel G60 dengan eluen kloroform-aseton yang meningkat kepolarannya sehingga dihasilkan 10 fraksi yang dikelompokan berdasarkan analisis KLT. Padatan yang diperoleh pada fraksi yang terelusi dengan 20% aseton selanjutnya dipisahkan pada kromatografi kolom pada silika gel (230-400 mesh) dengan eluen kloroform dan dimurnikan lebih lanjut dengan kristalisasi pada aseton sehingga dihasilkan isolat berbentuk kristal jarum tak-berwarna sebanyak 23 mg. Isolat menunjukkan titik leleh 115-118oC dan memberikan warna hijau-kebiruan pada uji Liebermann-Burchard menunjukkan adanya kerangka steroid.  Hasil analisis spektroskopi yang meliputi UV, IR, 1D-NMR dan 2D-NMR menunjukan bahwa isolat merupakan turunan sterol dan diidentifikasi sebagai poriferasta-5,22E,25-trien-3β-ol,22-dehidrokolesterol.

Abstract

Suatu senyawa kelompok depsidon (1) telah berhasil diisolasi dan dielusidasi struktur kimia dari  ekstrak etil asetat Garcinia cowa.Roxb. asal Indonesia.  Isolasi dan pemurnian dilakukan dengan teknik kromatografi vakum cair dan kromatografi kolom gravitasi, menggunakan adsorben silika gel, dengan sistem elusi bergradien: n-heksan, CH2Cl2, EtOAc, dan MeOH. Penentuan struktur molekul ditetapkan dengan metode spektroskopi meliputi spektroskopi UV, IR, NMR 1 D dan 2 D. Senyawa  hasil isolasi ditetapkan sebagai  1,3-dihidroksi-7-metoksi 2,8-(3-metilbutenil) depsidon (1). Senyawa ini untuk pertama kalinya  dilaporkan sebagai komponen kimia  dari  buah  G. cowa.

Abstract

Erythrina (Leguminose) memiliki jumlah alkaloid paling banyak jika dibandingkan dengan senyawa metabolit sekunder lainnya, sehingga tumbuhan Erythrina dikenal dengan sebutan alkaloid eritrina. Erythrina yang paling banyak tumbuh di Indonesia adalah E. poeppigiana. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan senyawa aktif antikanker payudara MCF-7 secara in silico yang terdapat di dalam daun E. poeppigiana. Alkaloid dipisahkan dan dimurnikan melalui tahapan ekstraksi, fraksinasi, pemisahanan dan pemurnian yang dipandu dengan uji Dragendorff, senyawa alkaloid yang diperoleh diuji antikanker secara in silico terhadap reseptor EGFR2 yang bekerja pada sel kanker payudara MCF-7 menggunakan program ArgusLab dengan pembanding canertinib dan parameter yang diukur adalah energi bebas Gibbs ikatan (ΔG) dan konstanta inhibisi (Ki). Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh senyawa alkaloid golongan isokuinolin yakni 6,7-dihidro-17-hidroksierisotrin. Senyawa 6,7-dihidro-17-hidroksierisotrin diprediksi mempunyai aktivitas sitotoksik terhadap sel kanker payudara MCF-7 dengan nilai ΔG (Kcal/mol) dan Ki (nM) masing-masing sebesar -8,11457 dan 1,12.10-6. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tumbuhan E. poeppigiana mempunyai potensi sebagai bahan dasar obat herbal antikanker payudara.
