Abstract

The nutritional content in breast milk helps the baby's brain growth and increases the mother's affection. Babies will be protected from diarrhea, coughs, colds, and infections because breast milk has immunity. This community service activity aims to provide health education in an effort to increase coverage of exclusive breastfeeding from 0-6 months.The method used is participant observation and lectures. The intervention subjects were breastfeeding mothers. The stages of this activity start from making media in the form of leaflets, creating SAP (Extension Event Unit), and providing counseling to breastfeeding mothers about the importance of breast milk, exclusivity, and the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding, as well as giving tips for smooth exclusive breastfeeding.The results of this community service activity are outreach interventions and increasing mothers' knowledge about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for 0-6 months. Held on 05 - 22 February 2023 in the UPTD work area of the Pegambiran Health Center. This activity featured village officials, health workers, village cadres, breastfeeding mothers, and pregnant women.Abstrak :Kandungan zat gizi dalam ASI membantu pertumbuhan otak bayi dan meningkatkan jalinan kasih sayang ibu. Bayi akan dilindungi dari diare, batuk, pilek, dan infeksi karena ASI memiliki kekebalan tubuh. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi kesehatan dalam rangka upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan dan acakupan ASI Ekslusif 0-6 bulan.Metode yang dilaksanakan dengan observasi partisipasi dan ceramah. Subjek intervensi yaitu Ibu menyusui. Tahapan kegiatan ini dari mulai membuat media berupa leaflet, membuat SAP (Satuan Acara Penyuluhan), dan memberikan penyuluhan kepada ibu menyusui tentang pentingnya Asi, eksklusif dan manfaat Asi Eksklusif, serta memberikan tips lancar Asi Eksklusif.Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adanya intervensi penyuluhan dan meningkatnya pengetahuan ibu tentang manfaat ASI Ekslusif 0-6 bulan. Dilaksanakan pada tanggal 05 - 22 Februari 2023 di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Pegambiran. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh perangkat desa, petugas kesehatan, kader desa, ibu menyusui dan ibu hamil.

Abstract

Merokok merupakan faktor risiko berbagai macam penyakit yang dapat membahayakan baik bagi dirinya dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Kebiasaan merokok dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal diantarnya usia, jenis kelamin, sikap, pengetahuan, dan motivasi. Sedangkan faktor eksternalnya antara lain orang tua, teman, dan keterjangkauan rokok. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis peranan keterjangkauan rokok, orang tua, teman sebaya dengan perilaku merokok pada mahasiswa.Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa laki laki Kampus X yang berjumlah 228. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 70 responden. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi Square.Hasil penelitian diperoleh keterjangkauan rokok dengan kategori mudah terjangkau lebih dari setengahnya responden sebagai perokok berat yaitu sebanyak 27 (58,7%) dan nilai p value 0,00, maka ada hubungan antara keterjangkuan rokok dengan perilaku merokok mahasiswa. Keterpaparan orang tua dengan kategori ada pengaruh lebih dari setengahnya responden sebagai perokok berat yaitu sebanyak 25 (53,2%) dan nilai p value 0,011 maka ada hubungan antara orang tua dengan perilaku mahasiswa. Keterpaparan teman sebaya dengan kategori ada pengaruh lebih dari setengahnya responden sebagai perokok berat yaitu sebanyak 19 (51,4%) dan nilai p value 0,001 maka ada hubungan antara teman sebaya dengan perilaku mahasiswa.Bagi kampus sebaiknya adanya kampanye rutin tentang bahaya merokok, baik melalui seminar, poster, dan sosial media serta adanya kebijakan aturan kampus untuk larangan merokok baik untuk mahasiswa dan civitas akademika di Lingkungan Kampus.

Abstract

The process of accepting the condition of children with special needs requires family support. Self-acceptance of children is an important aspect that parents need to have. Parents often show various reactions when dealing with children with special needs. One response that usually arises is to give high demands or expectations to children, which can be a sign that they have not entirely accepted the child's condition. This phenomenon is known as denial or rejection of the reality experienced. The study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and self-acceptance of parents of children with special needs in S.L.B. Quantitative research design with a Cross-Sectional approach. The population of 40 parents with children with special needs in S.L.B. used total sampling to obtain a total sample of 40 people. The research instrument was a family support and self-acceptance questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using the Spearman Rank test approach method. The study results showed that family support had a sufficient category of 20 respondents (50%). The self-acceptance of parents with special needs children was obtained in the high category of 15 respondents (37.5%). The statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.018 (<0.05), indicating a relationship between family support and self-acceptance of parents with children with special needs in S.L.B. Suggestions for parents who have children in S.L.B. should socialize more often with family, relatives or the surrounding environment so that they can provide support and motivation to increase self-acceptance and continue to explore their child's potential so that parents are more accepting of their child's condition. Abstract

Program Cultural Outreach yang dilaksanakan di Khalifah Model School bertujuan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai budaya Melayu dalam kurikulum modern berbasis teknologi. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan guru, kegiatan budaya, dan kolaborasi komunitas untuk menjembatani kesenjangan antara modernisasi pendidikan dan pelestarian budaya lokal. Pelatihan guru meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis dengan 85% peserta melaporkan peningkatan keterampilan integrasi budaya dan teknologi. Kegiatan budaya seperti festival dan pameran meningkatkan pemahaman budaya siswa hingga 90% dan rasa bangga terhadap identitas lokal sebesar 85%. Kolaborasi dengan komunitas memperkuat hubungan sekolah dengan masyarakat serta melibatkan komunitas dalam pelestarian budaya. Meskipun tantangan keberlanjutan program tetap ada, hasil ini menunjukkan potensi besar untuk mengembangkan model pendidikan multikultural yang seimbang antara tuntutan modernisasi dan pelestarian budaya. Program ini menjadi inspirasi untuk replikasi di sekolah lain dengan penyesuaian kebutuhan lokal.

Abstract

The development of radical understandings and attitudes that also penetrate the campus world that needs to be addressed by including religious moderation and understanding of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning in Public Universities in the framework of implementing anti-radicalism education in IRE learning in Public Universities. This study aims to see the integration of moderation values in IRE learning in public universities in the application of anti-radicalism education, as well as what alarms are the obstacles. The approach used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, with the analysis stages in the form of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that first, the values of religious moderation have been integrated in the learning of IRE in Public Universities through materials related to tolerance, brotherhood (ukhuwah), and the concept of Islamic teachings as a religion of rahmatan lil 'alamin. Second, the implementation of anti-radicalism education in IRE learning at public universities is seen from the content of the Semester Learning Plan (SLP) and Subject Learning Outcomes (SLO), most of the respondents have formulated it, only a small part is not specifically. There are several relationships that exist in the implementation of anti-radicalism education related to reference materials, time, and learning media.

Abstract

The National Examination (Ujian Nasional/UN) has been replaced by the National Assessment (Asesmen Nasional/AN), which includes the Minimum Competency Assessment (Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum/AKM), a character survey, and an assessment of the learning environment. The basis of this research lies in the observation that numerous teachers still employ a monotonous teaching style, leading to students feeling sleepy during the learning process due to the teacher’s ineffective methods. Consequently, the mastery of the material remains low, resulting in decreased student achievement. The aim of this research is to enhance the engagement of students and the professionalism of teachers during the English teaching and learning process, thereby improving the quality of student learning outcomes. To achieve this aim, classroom action research was undertaken over two cycles. In the pre-cycle, the author delivered material using an individual work approach, yielding a result of only 20.58% in the complete category. In cycle I, students achieved a result of 38.24% in the complete category. Similarly, in cycle II, the results rose to 94.11% in the complete category. From the comparison of results from pre-cycle to cycle II, it can be concluded that the Project-based Learning methods effectively enhance the numeracy skills of students in English lessons. The findings of this study strongly suggest that the Project-based Learning method is a valuable pedagogical approach for enhancing numeracy skills within the English language classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Friday Tausiyah Mental Development activities in improving student discipline and spiritual intelligence. The focus of the study in this research on three things, namely the role of Friday tausiyah mental development activities on the formation of student discipline and spiritual intelligence, obstacles / obstacles faced in the implementation of Friday tausiyah mental development activities in improving student discipline and spiritual intelligence, and solutions in overcoming obstacles in the implementation of Friday tausiyah mental development activities. The research method used is phenomenology-based qualitative. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study explain that this activity plays a significant role in increasing students' awareness of the importance of discipline, forming good habits, increasing students' sense of responsibility, and helping to develop students' talents. This Friday Tausiyah Mental Development activity faces obstacles such as lack of consistency in student participation, schedule clashes, differences in understanding, and perceptions of monotony. Proposed solutions include increasing students' understanding of the benefits of tausiyah, adjusting schedules, presenting relevant material, and using more varied and interactive delivery methods to increase participation and activity effectiveness. This research makes an important contribution in understanding how religious activities can support the development of students' character and spirituality in an educational setting.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of natural materials, in this case phytochemical compounds from herbal plants, is utilized as antibiotic agents in dealing with several cases of antibiotic resistance. Arum manis mango plant (Mangifera indica L. var arum manis) is one of the species of the mango family that is widely distributed in Indonesia and has many benefits ranging from fruit, seeds, fruit skin, leaves and stems. Arum manis mango leaves contain flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, polyphenols, tannins, and saponins which have the ability to inhibit bacterial growth. To determine the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of arum manis mango leaves on the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria. True Experiment with Posttest Only Control Group Design using the well method. The research subjects amounted to 24 samples divided into 4 treatment groups, namely ethanol extract of arum manis mango leaves with concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% and 2 controls (positive control ciprofloxacin and negative control aquadest). The data obtained was analyzed using SPSS version 27. The results of the bivariate test showed a significant difference (p-value <0.05) in the inhibition zone of the treatment group with positive and negative controls (Staphylococcus epidermidis, p-value <0.001). The average inhibition zone formed in the ethanol extract group of arum manis mango leaves on Staphylococcus epidermidis is concentrations of 25% (15.87 mm); 50% (18.25 mm); 75% (19.62 mm) and 100% (20.37 mm). There is antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract of arum manis mango leaves (Mangifera indica L. var arum manis) against the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria. Keywords: Antibacterial, Arum Manis Mango Leaves, Staphylococcus Epidermidis, Wells  ABSTRAK Pengembangan bahan alam dalam hal ini senyawa fitokimia dari tanaman herbal dimanfaatkan sebagai agen antibiotik dalam menangani beberapa kasus resistensi antibiotik. Tanaman mangga arum manis (Mangifera indica L. var arum manis) merupakan salah satu spesies dari famili buah mangga yang banyak tersebar di wilayah Indonesia dan memiliki banyak manfaat mulai dari buah, biji, kulit buah, daun dan batangnya. Daun mangga arum manis mengandung senyawa flavonoid, alkaloid, steroid, polifenol, tannin, dan saponin yang memiliki kemampuan menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri. Mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol daun mangga arum manis terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus epidermidis. True Experiment dengan Posttest Only Control Group Designmenggunakan metode sumuran. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 24 sampel dibagi ke 4 kelompok perlakuan, yaitu ekstrak etanol daun mangga arum manis konsentrasi 25%, 50%, 75%,100% dan 2 kontrol (kontrol positif ciprofloxacin dan kontrol negatif aquadest). Data yang didapatkan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS versi 27. Hasil dari uji analisis data menunjukan terdapatnya perbedaan bermakna (p-value <0,05) zona hambat kelompok perlakuan dengan kontrol positif dan negatif (Staphylococcus epidermidis, p-value <0,001). Rata-rata zona hambat yang terbentuk pada kelompok ekstrak etanol daun mangga arum manis pada Staphylococcus epidermidis konsentrasi 25% (15,87 mm); 50% (18,25 mm); 75% (19,62 mm) dan 100% (20,37 mm). Abstract

Masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang banyak dijumpai adalah karies gigi. Data WHO menunjukkan bahwa 90% anak mengalami karies. Hasil Riskesdas (2018), menunjukkan dari 34 provinsi, 21 provinsi memiliki masalah kesehatan gigi termasuk Provinsi Sumatra Utara. Perilaku menggosok gigi yang benar frekuensi dan waktunya hanya sebesar 2.8%. Anak usia 5 tahun memiliki angka pengalaman karies gigi (dmft) ≥6 sebesar 67.3%. Target Kementerian Kesehatan Indonesia bebas karies tahun 2030. Upaya pencegahan penyakit gigi dan mulut dilakukan program usaha kesehatan gigi masyarakat (UKGM) yang memberikan pelayanan promotif dan preventif. Menurut Notoadmojo (2012), perilaku berpengaruh 30%-35% terhadap derajat kesehatan. merubah perilaku dapat dilakukan melalui pendidikan kesehatan gigi dengan berbagai metode dan media yang menyenangkan, menghibur serta menarik perhatian, serta dapat membantu dan mempercepat proses pemahaman anak terhadap susbstansi materi. Berdasarkan hasil Penelitian Sofia dkk, menunjukkan bahwa Penggunaan Trifold Display Board 3D efektif mempengaruhi pengetahuan dan keterampilan menggosok gigi, sebagai sampel adalah Kader kesehatan yang berjumlah 40 orang, Metode yang digunakan yaitu Pelatihan kader dalam penggunaan media Trifold Display 3D, selanjutnya kader yang sudah dilatih melanjutkan mempromosikan pengetahuan tentang bagaimana menggosok gigi yang baik dan benar ke masyarakat dalam hal ini anak-anak di desa Patumbak I selama 1 bulan, Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pada Kader, Pengetahuan serta status kebersihan gigi anak-anak di desa Patumbak I juga meningkat, akhirnya diharapkan bisa menekan jumlah karies gigi pada anak-anak.
