Abstract

Coupling is a fundamental attribute of software which has a great influence on software quality. Couplings negatively affect the quality of the software. The higher the coupling value, the more difficult the changes to the software will be made. Changes to software during the life cycle are a certainty. Changes that are not implemented properly can cause damage and increase maintenance costs. So that software maintenance can be carried out efficiently, it is important for developers to keep the coupling values low. Various coupling metrics are proposed by the researchers, one of which is Aggregated Coupling Measure (ACE). ACE metrics combine structural and conceptual coupling metrics into aggregate coupling metrics so as to better identify couplings than separate measurements. However, there is no application that applies the ACE metric, so the calculation is still done manually which of course will take a lot of time and effort and is inefficient to apply to large and complex applications. Therefore, an aggregate coupling measurement tool was developed for Java-based software using the ACE metric. The tools have been verified from the unit level using the white-box strategy to the validation of the overall functionality using the black-box strategy. Testing the accuracy and performance of the system produces an accuracy value of 100% and an average of 385 times faster than manually counting.

Abstract

One type of beverage that comes from plants is coffee, coffee is made from processed coffee plant crops in the form of seeds. Coffee belongs to the Rubiaceae family with the genus Coffea. Coffee can also be included in the class of psychostimulant drinks which can temporarily relieve drowsiness, reduce fatigue, and increase energy as a physiological effect. The increase in the coffee industry in Indonesia is marked by the increase in consumption of processed coffee products with a percentage of up to more than seven percent in 2016 and continues to increase every year. Given coffee middlemen, as one of the coffee industry players run by the munte family, which began in 2000. Given's coffee middleman business process, which starts with purchasing coffee beans from the harvest that must be done on market days, from Thursday to Saturday every week is considered not effective to meet the needs of three tons of processed coffee stock every month. Furthermore, the sales or promotion process which is still by word of mouth is considered outdated and often reduces profits because there are often brokers who promote products to buyers and ask for profit sharing for their promotions. Based on these problems, a system is made to simplify the process of buying and selling coffee beans at given coffee wholesalers. The system development stage includes the stages of needs analysis, implementation, and testing. In the analysis step, there are 32 functional requirements and one non-functional requirement. The implementation stages use the PHP programming language on the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL in the database section. Then the testing step consists of several tests such as functional and non-functional testing. Functional testing consists of unit testing that successfully runs the test path based on 3 test cases, integration testing on the method obtains valid status and validation testing obtains 100% validity from 49 test cases. Non-functional testing using usability testing obtained system results that were acceptable to users with a final score of 73.25.

Abstract

Undergraduate thesis writing process for college students at the Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM) Brawijaya University is currently implemented by conducting thesis guidance directly or through the media provided by the lecturer. Several problems occur in the thesis writing process, such as the process of providing links and document access rights is done manually and inefficient which requires communication between lecturers and students. The increasing number of journals makes it difficult to find research references with the same discussion as the student thesis topic. Writing keywords experiencing errors due to human errors and keywords are also less than optimal because keywords are determined manually. In this study, a student thesis guidance manajemen system was developed which could facilitate students in conducting thesis guidance and assisting lecturers in manajemen student thesis guidance through one platform. This system utilizes several algorithms to obtain journal and keyword recommendations. These algorithms include preprocessing text, TF-IDF, and cosine similarity. The software development model used by this system is the waterfall model. Systems are tested using unit testing, validation, and compatibility. The results of validation testing conducted in all test cases give a value of 100% valid.

Abstract

The adequacy of nutritional needs in the human body is very important in supporting its survival. Lack of nutritional needs can lead to reduced immunity to disease infections. The nutritional needs needed to meet each individual's daily calories vary greatly, it is usually supported by differences in gender and age, weight and height, the latter is a daily body activity. The difficulty of the community in determining the number of daily calories needed, the many factors that influence in the fulfillment of nutritional needs can be easily solved by the development of the system to be carried out. In addition, the user will be facilitated by the presence of several reminder features that will record the calories of food entered in his body by identifying images of food consumed by the user, and users can also consult with nutritionists available on the system to conduct further discussions. The development method conducted in this study uses waterfall method by applying Object Oriented Programming (OOP) based programming and using HTML and PHP programming languages, while to implement data structures using relational database mechanisms namely is MySQL. In this study, 3 samples were used to test the unit and produce a system that was made to run well, in addition to validation testing using 14 test cases and showing 14 functions run well.

Abstract

The Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), which was supposed to revolutionize the world of education, did not happen as expected. MOOC registrants who survive to complete the course are very low, only around 2-11% of the total registrants. After being researched, the registrant's motivation plays a significant role in keeping the registrant following the given course to completion. Gamification is present as a solution to this problem. Gamification is a concept that applies game elements to something that is not a game to increase participants' motivation and engagement. In the context of this research, it applies to learning. Based on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in America, Web Developer jobs are projected to increase by 8% or about 14,000 new jobs, exceeding the average for other jobs in 2019-2029. The World Wide Web Consortium also said that HTML and CSS are the core technologies in creating the web. In response to this problem, an e-learning application was created for learning HTML and CSS by applying the concept of gamification, which was eventually named Hyper Sheets. The hope is that this application can maintain or even increase student motivation. The three main features of this app are interactive materials, exercises, and challenges. In developing this application, the Waterfall model is used, which finally gets 13 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. The tests were carried out on functional requirements, namely unit testing with white box testing techniques and integration testing along with validation testing with black box testing techniques. These functional requirement tests get 100% valid results. In non-functional testing, namely usability testing, using the SUS method ultimately resulted in a score of 81.55. This score belongs to the "Acceptable" category, which is satisfactory to the application users.

Abstract

The communication carried out by the Hansha Inventive company with clients at this time is still using the whatsapp or line application. The number of clients from Hansha Inventive causes a problem to arise, namely the problem of too many incoming messages so that they are piled up and finally there are unread messages, besides that the results of the work of creative agency companies are also not well structured because all the work sent by creative agency companies is still through the whatsapp or line application. In this study, a system was developed that aims to assist creative agency companies in managing clients with a system that can create a structured work concept then a system that can show the results of work to clients neatly so that the performance of Hansha Inventive can be increased. The development model used in this system is the waterfall development model. There are 3 tests carried out on this system, namely, unit testing, validation testing and compatibility testing. The system created this time is tested with unit testing, validation testing and compatibility testing. Unit testing using the white-box testing method resulted in a 100% valid percentage in six test cases, then validation testing using the black-box testing method resulted in a 100% valid percentage in 99 test cases. Then the compatibility test stated that this system can run on various web browsers but there are a few major problems with internet explorer, mozilla firefox, safari, and IOS. Then there are minor minor issues with internet explorer, mozilla firefox, and safari.

Abstract

Education is one of the most important needs for human civilization, especially for children and teenagers. The current pandemic condition is forcing education to use online learning alternatives. Codemaniac is one of the e-learning which is builded using gamification techniques to increase student motivation. However, Codemaniac does not yet have adaptive features that can maximize the behavior of each user. To overcome this problem, further development of Codemaniac will add adaptive features by utilizing the recorded user behavior contained in the log file. Based on the recorded user behavior, clustering will be carried out using the fuzzy c-means algorithm so that three types of clusters will be formed, each cluster will present a different user interface. This system is compiled using SDLC waterfall with the addition of the Python programming language. In its development, it produces 3 actors, with an additional 5 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. To test the system, the wthite box method is used for unit testing and the black box method is used for validation testing.

Abstract

One of the main causes of vehicle traffic accidents are human factors such as sleepiness during driving, which is 35% of total traffic accidents in Indonesia. In order to prevent and minimize the percentage of traffic accidents and material loss caused by that factor, through this research will be developed a fatigue detection system for car drivers. This research will be focusing on the development of fatigue detection method through visual cues with Percentage of Eye Closure (PERCLOS) method, which in that method measures the eye closure percentage against time to indicate the fatigue of a car driver. The system will be able to give the car driver a signal for a detected fatigue, directing the car driver to an area to rest, contacting the close related person to the car driver when fatigue detected and an emergency function to do that without a need of fatigue detection. This system will be implemented in a smartphone with Android-based operating system. Waterfall model is used for the development process of this system. The requirement analysis produced produced 8 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement in the development process. Unit testing has 100% pass result and validation testing has 100% pass result which has 15 test cases. The system expected a web-based implementation that can be used to integrate the fatigue detection system to handle user data in fatigue detection system in a large scale.

Abstract

Fitness can make the body fitter and look good by lifting weights, no wonder fitness centers are increasingly popular with the community, one of which is the Executive Gym. However, it is difficult for Executive Gym owners to monitor the running of the business in real time. Lack of monitoring means that information on business developments cannot be obtained quickly and accurately. From the receptionist side, all recording was done in handwriting which tended to take longer and was complicated so it was not effective and efficient. At the time of training, the instructor had difficulty knowing the exact amount of nutrition the members needed, so the instructor still relied on estimates and this became a concern as well. So, the Development of Information System Management for Fitness Member and Member Nutritional Needs and Business Growth Monitoring Website-Based with the Executive Gym case study was carried out , so that the receptionist can manage visitors effectively and efficiently. Business owners can monitor the running of the business in real time from afar and get the necessary reports in detail for a business development strategy. In addition, the instructor can calculate the nutritional needs as well as the amount of food that the member needs appropriately. Development is carried out using the waterfall model. The system was tested by unit testing, integration testing, and validation testing of 49 test cases with a valid value of 100%, and usability testing with a result of 91% (very feasible) and a Cronbach alpha value of 0.98 (perfect).
