Abstract

The Disability Development Foundation (YPAC) Malang is a social organization that provides integrated rehabilitation services for children with disabilities and special needs. One of the most important parts of YPAC Malang is students and their grades. In one school there are hundreds of students and each has a different value. In addition, the problem faced is that parents do not know about child development information every month, parents only know the child's development from the report card grades distributed each semester. This application is designed using Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and implemented with the php language with the help of the Laravel 6.2 and Bootstrap framework 4. Application testing uses white box testing and black box testing with the results of this application in accordance with the functional requirements that have been specified. The results of compability testing in this application have successfully shown that the application runs successfully in various types of common browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.

Abstract

E-Learning is instructions that are delivered through digital devices such as computer and mobile device that are provided to support learning. In the Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University, e-learning has been used for learning activities. One of e-learning system that is being developed by Faculty of Computer Science is CodeManiac (CoMa). The exercises provided by CoMa is not adaptive to the mental condition of user. Stress has impact on the formation and retrieval of memories which have implication that stress can change the nature or quality of memories and can cause miss information. As a step to realizing an adaptable environment for CoMa, the first thing to do is to establish a physiological user monitoring system. Physiological signals can be used as features for user stress classification. Data from the monitoring system can be input for CoMa system as a basis for determining which exercise that will be given to user. The development process of system uses the waterfall method. The developed system produced 24 functional requirements and 2 non-functional requirements. Unit testing got 100% pass result and validation testing which have 33 test cases and got 100% pass result. Mobile application compatibility testing got result which is can run on Android Kitkat and Android Lollipop. Web application compatibility testing uses SortSite got no critical issue result. This system expected that can help CoMa for stress detection which can be used as a basis for determining exercise for users.

Abstract

Competition is an event that is made to be able to facilitate a person or group in improving the quality of their interests and talents. Competition can be divided into three stages as a whole, namely the stage of administrative registration, administrative selection, and the event itself. In general, the developed system has four important processes as solutions to existing problems. The important process includes making a competition conducted by the organizer, registration of the competition for participants who wish to take part in the competition, management of the competition who can determine the competition mechanism following the rules of the organizer organizing the competition. The model used in system development is using SDLC waterfall. The developed system consists of 32 functional requirements that are divided into three different actors. In developing the thesis system, several supporting technologies are used to make it easier to work on the system. Supporting technologies used include the PHP Programming Language, MySQL Database Management System, and the PHP Laravel Framework. The process of developing the system is divided into several structural phases which form the basis of this thesis research method. These phases consist of requirements analysis, system design and implementation, to testing. The testing method used in this research is to use the white box testing method at the unit testing and integration stage, and the black box testing is used in the validation testing stage. The system testing carried out has overall valid results on the test cases that have been made. The test case created is based on the previous stage, namely the needs analysis and system design.

Abstract

Convection is a business that is engaged in the manufacture of clothing or textiles managed by individuals with an order scale of under 500 pieces. Convection performs the production process when there are orders and does not perform when there are no orders, also does not produce the clothes themselves to be traded. In general, the developed system has four important processes as solutions to existing problems. Abstract

Islamic boarding school is one of the Islamic institutions which is a subculture of the Indonesian people. Both academic and religious education is an important concern for Islamic boarding schools to produce knowledgeable students. Al-Izzah Leadership School became one of the educational institutions that paid attention to their students in the academic field and also memorizing their Qur'an. The learning process of each semester produces values ​​that illustrate the success of the learning process for whole one semester. However, the learning process has problems, the problems are the difficulties experienced by the guardians of students in observing their children in case of development of academic values ​​and memorization of the Qur'an, so that parents cannot reprimand directly when the child gets a bad grade. Based on these problems, this system made to facilitate the assessment process at Al-Izzah Islamic boarding school. The system development process includes the requirements analysis, implementation, and testing. Requirement analysis consists of 34 functional requirement. Implementation use the PHP programming language with Laravel framework and MySQL for database section. Testing include functional and non-functional testing. Functional testing includes unit testing that successfully conducted the test path based on 3 test cases, integration testing on the method resulted in valid status and validation testing resulted in 100% valid from 52 test cases. Non-functional testing using usability testing gets result that can be accepted by users with a score of 72.5.

Abstract

The laboratory is a place to do practice or research. Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FMIPA UB) has 8 laboratories that are used as supporting facilities in the implementation of learning and practicum. Students or lecturers can use laboratory facilities for research by applying for permission to use laboratory facilities according to existing procedures. The problem with current procedures is that researchers must visit each laboratory to obtain laboratory availability information or request permission to use the laboratory. This process is less effective because it takes a lot of time. In addition, recording each research activity still uses paper form so it is difficult to recap the data. To solve this problem, a laboratory facility management system was created. This system can simplify the process of applying for research permits, managing facilities, and recording the use of laboratory facilities. The main stages of system development in this study consist of requirements engineering, modeling, implementation, and testing. System development is carried out using an object-oriented approach. The results of requirements engineering obtained 69 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. In the implementation, the system is developed on a web platform using the model-view-controller (MVC) concept with the Laravel framework. At the testing stage, the results are 100% valid on unit testing, integration, and validation. The results of the compatibility test show that the system can run well on various browsers.

Abstract

Tobacco plants in Indonesia are still a plantation commodity that is widely cultivated by the people of Indonesia. The obstacles are often found by farmers in the garden due to the increase of disruptive organisms such as viruses. In an effort to maintain the quality of tobacco products, farmers should know as quickly as possible the disease that is infecting crops so that it requires experts to identify the disease. While experts sometimes need time to review directly to the garden. Therefore, farmers and experts need applications that can help in the process of identification of tobacco diseases so as to provide treatment recommendations in order to shorten the time. The application was developed by implementing an Android-based prototyping development model, assisted by ibm Watson Visual Recognition services and implemented in Java language. After the prototype is finished, it is then evaluated using cognitive walkthrough and it is concluded that the functions in the prototype are in accordance with the needs. Then a second iteration is carried out to add consultation features, after which the finished application is tested first by using Whitebox and Blackbox tests that produce 100% valid built as needed. Then performed usability testing with System Usability Scale method to measure user comfort when using the application and obtained SUS score results that fall into acceptable category.

Abstract

Cooking oil is one of the needs of community in their daily needs. The result of cooking oil that is no longer necessary is called used cooking oil. The amount of production and consumption of cooking oil, the availability of used cooking oil is increasingly abundant. The activity of collecting used cooking oil is still considered inefficient in the collection of used cooking oil, which is carried out by collectors of used cooking oil. Based on a survey that has been conducted at a business place, used cooking oil is picking up once a month while in one week in the place. That business can produce 3 jerry can. Due to supporting the collecting of used cooking oil and make it more efficient, a web-based cooking oil collection system was created by applying the concept of internet of things in it. The concept of the internet of things was built using the ESP8266 NodeMCU module and water level sensor which work with the MQTT network protocol as a means of data communication. This device will be used to detect the level of used cooking oil in the reservoir, which is then converted into data, then collected and processed in the used cooking oil pickup system web. To be able to find out the validity of this system, several testing stages were carried out. The results of these tests indicated that this system functional test is valid, which means that the system can operate properly.

Abstract

Invitations are one of the most crucial needs in an event that is used to invite people and groups, where invitations can be made in printed or digital form. Print invitations, currently the difficulty of finding and comparing prices at each printing service is one of the shortcomings of making printed invitation designs. As many as 86 percent of Indonesian internet users shop online via any device. This figure is obtained from data compiled by the Global Web Index summarized by We Are Social and Hootsuite (CNN, 2019). Therefore, a design application was created as an invitation-making medium and a printing partner marketplace that provides invitation printing services according to user needs. This application facilitates the transaction process between consumers and printing partners as a third party. Consumers can design invitations as desired and choose to continue to be printed through the printing services available in the system. Payment can be made online and the invitation will be sent by the printer to the buyer's address. This invitation e-marketplace application was built using the Software Engineering approach by using the Waterfall System Development Life Cycle method which consists of requirements analysis, system design, system implementation, and system testing. The results of the waterfall method produce 34 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement with 4 actors as system users, namely guest, member, partner, and admin. Implemented using the CodeIgniter framework with the PHP programming language supported by HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, and supported by 2 APIs, namely Fabric.js and RajaOngkir. The tests were carried out by testing white box, black box, and usability testing using the SUS (System Usability Scale) which has an average final score of 82 which is considered acceptable.

Abstract

The rapid development of co-working spaces in Indonesia according to the current list of Indonesian Co-Working Space Association (ACI), this also effects the competition in the co-working space business. As one of the co-working spaces in Malang, EZO Space currently still has problems in its business process. The room reservation process, membership registration, partnership application and room availability information system are still manual, clients must send a message via Whatsapp or comes to the place directly. Managing order data, payment data and membership data also still uses Microsoft Excel. One of the ways to achieve their successfull business is by providing system information reservation and make new innovation which name as event starter, to bring together creative workers in events they have initiated themselves. Therefore, the development of Web-Based Co-working Space Information and Booking System which is developed using programming language PHP with Laravel Framework, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and MySql database. The system was developed using waterfall method, limited to testing only. The system is tested using white-box testing for 3 units and black-box testing with 73 test cases which get 100% valid results, and usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method which gets a value of 75.6.
