Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an extracurricular program at MTs Negeri 1 Palembang as an effort to develop students' character based on Islamic values. This research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The subjects of the study consist of 12 individuals, including the vice principal in charge of student affairs, the head of the tahfidz program, teachers, and students participating in the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an program. Data collection methods used include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis employs a phenomenological approach by examining phenomena or events occurring in the surrounding environment and life. The process involves three steps: collecting data on the implementation of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an extracurricular program, reducing or categorizing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions, followed by validating the data. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an extracurricular program at MTs Negeri 1 Palembang takes place after school activities, focusing on memorization and revision (murojaah). The memorization methods used align with those established at MTs Negeri 1 Palembang and are adjusted to the methods preferred by teachers and students while ensuring recitations adhere to tajweed rules.

Abstract

This study aims to describe parenting patterns in families with early marriages and analyze their influence on the social development of early childhood in Mulyorejo Village. The focus of the study is on how parenting practices are applied by parents who married at a young age, and how these patterns shape children's social behavior, interaction skills, and self-adjustment in their peer environment. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that early marriage families apply three main parenting styles, namely authoritarian, permissive, and democratic, each of which has a different impact on social development. Democratic parenting tends to produce children who are independent, communicative, and able to interact positively; authoritarian parenting is associated with closed-mindedness, low self-esteem, and passivity in socializing; while permissive parenting influences a lack of self-control and understanding of social boundaries. This study recommends improving parenting education for parents of early marriages, especially regarding democratic parenting, which better supports the optimal social development of young children

Abstract

This research investigates the implementation and effects of active learning strategies integrated with humanistic pedagogical approaches on student learning motivation and cognitive achievement in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP Negeri 4 Palembang.. Data collection instruments included a 25-item motivation questionnaire (Cronbach's α = 0.976) and an 18-item learning outcomes test (Cronbach's α = 0.737), both satisfying validity and reliability requirements. Independent samples t-tests revealed significant between-group differences in learning motivation (t = -8.295, p = 0.000, experimental M = 112.58 vs. control M = 95.91) and learning outcomes (t = -2.677, p = 0.009, experimental M = 89.03 vs. control M = 82.21). Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) confirmed simultaneous significant effects on both dependent variables (Wilks' Lambda = 0.461, p = 0.000, Partial Eta² = 0.539), indicating large practical effect sizes. The findings substantiate that integration of active learning strategies with humanistic principles produces coherent, synergistic enhancements in both affective motivation and cognitive achievement dimensions. Results suggest that pedagogical approaches addressing simultaneous cognitive engagement and emotional support facilitate comprehensive student development aligned with Islamic education's holistic philosophical foundations emphasizing character formation alongside intellectual growth.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that play a crucial role in nurturing future generations who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess strong religious values. The process of adapting new students to the unique and structured rules and culture of an Islamic boarding school is of utmost importance. Inadequate adaptation can hinder students' success in adapting to boarding school life. The research problem focuses on how the Awwalussanah Programme functions as a means of adaptation for new students at the An-Nur Lempuing OKI Islamic Boarding School and the factors influencing the programme's effectiveness. The research objective is to describe and analyse the implementation of the programme in relation to the adaptation process of new students. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation from key informants such as the Head of Education, supervisors, teachers, and new students. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions, with data validity tested using source triangulation and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the Awwalussanah Program is effective as a means of adaptation for new students, although there are challenges such as time constraints and the diversity of students' backgrounds, which influence the adaptation process. This program helps students adjust to the boarding school environment through various orientation activities and mentoring. The Awwalussanah Programme plays a significant role in facilitating the adaptation process for new students at the An-Nur Lempuing OKI Islamic Boarding School, with recommendations for improving time management and adopting an inclusive approach in programme implementation. Despite the challenges, the programme successfully creates a more conducive environment for new students to adapt to boarding school life.
