Abstract

Mathematics is still one of the subjects feared by elementary school students. This can affect the effectiveness of learning. Therefore, there needs to be innovation in mathematical learning. On the other hand, high school teachers are required to create or develop innovation, especially in learning. Thus, the purpose of this research is to know the efforts made by elementary school teachers who excel in developing mathematical learning innovations. The methods used in this study are qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this study were five outstanding elementary teachers from Sumedang Regency and one outstanding elementary teacher from Garut Regency. The instruments used in this study are in the form of interview guidelines, documentation studies, and questionnaires. The results showed that the innovation developed by elementary teachers excelled in developing mathematical learning innovations in the form of media and learning strategies. In addition, there are efforts to utilize technology as a support for the learning process.

Abstract

Students lack confidence in expressing curiosity, then students tend to be shy in asking questions, which causes low problem posing abilities of students. Mathematics is inseparable from the submission of problems, so the problem posing ability is important for students to have. Therefore problem posing skills need to be trained and developed through SBL learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of SBL learning on students' problem posing abilities. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental with a type of nonequivalent control group design. The study population used was all students of fifth grade elementary school in North Sumedang District. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. While the sample was taken from SDN Rancamulya. The instruments used in this study were problem posing ability test questions, attitude scale questionnaires, teacher performance observation sheets, student activities, and field notes. The results showed that SBL learning had a positive effect on students' problem posing abilities.

Abstract

Innovation learning by using MURRDERR strategy assisted by android-based so that becomes a solution to improve reflective thingking skills and students motivation learning in elementary school. This research used quasi-experimental method, with nonequivalent control grup design. The population is all class of V grade in Sumedang Selatan Subdistrict, with sample of grade V-A SDN Sukaraja 1 (grup class of experiment) and V-B SDN Sukaraja 1 (grup calss of control). Counclusions from this research are : 1) MURRDERR strategy assisted by android-based media is significantly better at improving reflective thinking skills than conventional learning. 2) MURRDERR strategy assisted by android-based media, and conventional learning can improve student motivation learning most increases significantly. 3) There is a positive relationship between the ability of reflective thinking skills with student motivation.

Abstract

The use of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) with “MURDER” strategy in primary schools is still rare in Indonesia. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) strategy "MURDER" is one of the main innovative and appropriate collaboration between the approaches and strategies to give effect to the students' mathematical reasoning skills. Students’ mathematical reasoning skills is one of the main skill that students need to have in the problem solving process. This study was conducted to determine the effect of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) strategy "MURDER" of mathematical reasoning skills of students. The method used is a quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The population in this research is the entire class of grade V elementary school in Kuningan regency, with the sample chosen SDN 4 Jalaksana as an experimental class and SDN Padamenak as the control class.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to see how RADEC learning is implemented via zoom meetings on heat transfer subject, as well as to see how students' critical thinking skills improve after learning. In this study, three markers were used to increase students' critical thinking skills: offering a straightforward explanation of heat transfer, solving heat transfer questions, and closing the topic. The participants in this study were one teacher who used a zoom meeting to educate using the RADEC model and six grade 6 students from SD Islam Al-Falah 1 Pagi. Observation, documentation, exams, and questionnaires were utilized to collect data. Students' critical thinking skills are assessed by tests, and student answers are assessed through questionnaires after learning. According to the findings of this study, the use of zoom meetings to apply RADEC learning is effective and has a favorable impact on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kelayakan media wayang statistik menggunakan realistic mathematics education menurut guru SD. Media wayang statistik menggunakan realistic mathematics education layak untuk digunakan pada materi statistika dengan melihat aspek-aspek dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas IV SDN 1 Kedongdong Kidul, guru kelas IV SDN 1 Cipanas, guru kelas IV SDN 2 Cipanas, guru kelas IV SDN 1 Girinata, guru kelas IV SDN 2 Girinata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian cross-sectional survey desain, dengan menggunakan instrumen tes diagnostik, wawancara dan angket. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu media wayang statistik menggunakan realistic mathematics education layak digunakan pada materi pembelajaran statistika, karena media wayang statistik menggunakan realistic mathematics education dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif untuk dapat menarik perhatian siswa dan mempermudah siswa dalam memahami materi statistika.

Abstract

Emphasize the science process skill, for maximizing students petential mixed up with discovery learning process. Then it takes skills that can facilitate this with science process skill. Learning which support science process skill was predict observe explain (POE) learning. This study aim to determine the role of POE  learning to science process skills. The method of this research is quasi-experimental using non-equivalent control group design. It’s research population is all students of grade V elementary school in Sumedang Utara subdistriction. Sample technique is used purposive sampling and obtained sample that is SDN Sukaluyu as the experimental class and SDN Rancamulya as the control class. The instrumen is used a test instrument in the form of science process skill test, and non test instrument consists of teacher performance observation sheet and student activity, and student respon questionnaire. Based on the result of research, it is found that learning using POE learning has a positive effect in improving students science process skill in material changes ability significantly.

Abstract

This research is conducted on the basis of the importance of students self-efficacy and mathematical problem posing (MPP) abilities as a main ability to improve their mathematical abilities. Situation-Based Learning (SBL) is one of the correct choices to improve self-efficacy and MPP ability. The research method used was a quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The population of the study is all fourth grades students in sub-district Darma, Kuningan District. Meanwhile, the samples of the research is in SDN 1 Darma as the experimental class and SDN 2 Bakom as the control class. The research instruments are used MPP ability test questions, attitude scale self-efficacy questionnaire, student response questionnaire, teacher performance observation sheet and student activities, and field notes. Based on the learning outcomes for four meetings, it shows that: 1) the two classes have a positive influence on MPP's abilities and there are significant differences, SBL is better than conventional learning; 2) SBL has a better influence on self-efficacy than conventional learning; 3) there is no relationship between self-efficacy and MPP ability; and 4) students gave a very positive response to SBL learning.Keywords: Situation-Based Learning (SBL), Mathematical Problem Posing (MPP) Ability, Self-Efficacy.

Abstract

Koneksi matematis merupakan bagian penting yang harus dilatihkan pada setiap jenjang pendidikan termasuk sekolah dasar. Semakin banyak siswa yang memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis, maka pembelajaran akan bermakna dan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal bangun datar. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Ambalresmi, Kecamatan Ambal, Kabupaten Kebumen yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes yang berupa tes kemampuan koneksi matematis dan instrumen non tes yaitu wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menyebutkan bahwa kemampuan koneksi matematis yang dimiliki siswa pada materi bangun datar masih terbilang rendah. Mengingat pentingnya koneksi matematis dan fakta mengenai kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa, diharapkan guru mampu merancang kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis.
