Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengoptimalkan adaptasi mahasiswa di tahun pertama perkuliahan untuk meraih keberhasilan studi. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan selama setengah hari (half day meeting), dimana terdapat tiga tema dari pemateri yang berbeda yaitu: pentingnya college adjustment pada mahasiswa; penguatan coping dan self efficacy sebagai mahasiswa; mengoptimalkan keterampilan dan relasi sosial di tahun pertama perkuliahan. Evaluasi dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan melihat beberapa komponen, diantaranya keaktifan peserta, penilaian teknis kegiatan, instrumen The College Adjustment Test (CAT) instrumen untuk melihat sejauh mana mahasiswa mengalami berbagai pemikiran dan perasaan tentang kedatangan mereka di perguruan tinggi selama minggu-minggu pertama, dan survei sederhana untuk melihat bagaimana keputusan mahasiswa untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi, keputusan dalam memilih universitas, dan terkait dengan penyesuaian dengan perguruan tinggi. Mahasiswa melalui keaktifannya mengikuti kegiatan menunjukkan minat yang besar untuk mampu mengembangkan strategi coping dan self efficacy, serta berupaya mengoptimalkan keterampilan dan relasi sosial sebagai mahasiswa untuk melakukan penyesuaian di tahun pertama perkuliahan.

Abstract

Purpose of the Study: This study explores the pivotal role of intrinsic motivation in driving the professional development of early childhood education (ECE) and kindergarten teachers, focusing on how it influences their teaching practices, adaptability, and overall job satisfaction. Methodology: A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving purposively selected ECE and kindergarten teachers from multiple schools. Participants had at least five years of teaching experience and demonstrated active engagement in professional skill development. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews and participatory observations and then analyzed using thematic analysis to uncover recurring patterns and insights. Main Findings: The study reveals that intrinsic motivation significantly shapes the professional growth of ECE teachers. Motivated teachers are likelier to adopt innovative teaching methods, integrate new technologies into their classrooms, and demonstrate resilience in managing challenges. They display a heightened sense of responsibility for their students’ holistic development and report greater job satisfaction. Moreover, intrinsic motivation fosters creativity and adaptability, enabling teachers to craft engaging learning experiences. This, in turn, positively impacts student outcomes, as intrinsically motivated teachers create dynamic, supportive environments that enhance student engagement and facilitate social-emotional growth. Novelty/Originality of the Study: Underexplored connection between intrinsic motivation and professional development in early childhood education. The study underscores the need for fostering intrinsic motivation in teacher training programs by linking teacher motivation to innovation, resilience, and student engagement. Furthermore, it provides actionable insights into designing interventions and policies prioritizing intrinsic drivers, contributing to sustainable teacher development and improved educational quality.

Abstract

This research aims to optimise the mental health of parents and early childhood in Gili Iyang, Sumenep, through psychoeducation for the ‘Child Friendly Home’ movement. The programme uses psychoeducation and joyful learning methods to increase parents' motivation and positive attitudes in creating a nurturing environment that supports children's development. The participants were 50 parents, children, and early childhood educators from Bancamara and Banraas villages. Participants were selected by purposive sampling, based on the purpose of the activity, which is to optimise the mental health of parents and early childhood. The results of the pretest and posttest evaluations showed a significant increase in knowledge with a note that there was a need for re-evaluation in the preparation of the questions. However, through observation, discussion, and question and answer, positive attitudinal changes related to child-friendly parenting were observed. These findings indicate the importance of community-based interventions to improve family mental health in rural areas. This study recommends that further development is needed so that similar programmes can be implemented in other communities.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas konten dan feasibilitas dari penggunaan permainan papan Cashflowpoly sebagai media pembelajaran keuangan dalam konteks pendidikan formal di jenjang sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini berjenis R&D yaitu pada tahap evaluasi formatif. Berdasarkan metode expert based evaluation, disimpulkan bahwa permainan papan tersebut valid dengan katagori excellent yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai Content Validity Index (CVI) yaitu S-CVI sebesar 0,92 dan semua I-CVI bernilai di atas 0,83. Panel ahli berjumlah enam orang yang berasal dari latar belakang profesi guru, akademisi, praktisi keuangan, praktisi pendidikan dan psikolog. Selain itu, berdasarkan penilaian menggunakan kuesioner dengan Likert skala 5 yang dilakukan setelah field trial dengan partisipan (N=135) disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan papan permainan Cashflowpoly layak digunakan dalam sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi tantangan penggunaan Cashflowpoly pada aktivitas intrakulikuler dan alternatif solusi berdasarkan saran ahli dan partisipan di lapangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan kebaruan yang menawarkan alternatif media pembelajaran keuangan yang valid dan layak untuk diterapkan kepada remaja/ siswa di sekolah menengah pertama. Oleh karena itu, peneliti merekomendasikan kepada pembuat kebijakan, sekolah, dan guru untuk menggunakan media pembelajaran ini sebagai salah satu alat pembelajaran literasi keuangan, termasuk mengintegrasikannya dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler.Abstract:  This research aims to determine the content validity and feasibility of using the Cashflowpoly board game as a financial learning medium in the context of formal education at the junior high school level. This research is of the R&D type, specifically at the formative evaluation stage. Based on the expert-based evaluation method, it was concluded that the board game is valid with an excellent category, as indicated by the Content Validity Index (CVI) value, namely an S-CVI of 0.92 and all I-CVIs above 0.83. The expert panel consisted of six individuals from backgrounds in teaching, academia, finance, education, and psychology. In addition, based on the assessment using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire conducted after the field trial with participants (N=135), it was concluded that the use of the Cashflowpoly board game is suitable for use in junior high schools. This study also identifies the challenges of using Cashflowpoly in extracurricular activities and alternative solutions based on expert advice and field participants. The results of this study provide a novelty that offers a valid and feasible alternative financial learning media to be applied to adolescents/students in junior high schools. Therefore, the researchers recommend to policymakers, schools, and teachers to use this learning media as one of the tools for financial literacy education, including integrating it into extracurricular activities.

Abstract

Generation Z had unique characteristics in the workplace that required specific management strategies to enhance job commitment. Feedback was one of the crucial factors that influenced employee engagement and loyalty to the organization. This study aimed to analyze the role of feedback in shaping employees' job commitment by considering psychological, social, and organizational aspects. The research employed a quantitative approach using survey techniques on Generation Z employees across various industrial sectors. The findings indicated that consistently and constructively delivered feedback contributed to increased self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation, and emotional attachment to the organization. Moreover, supportive feedback was proven to enhance job satisfaction and reduce turnover intentions. The implication of this study emphasized that organizations needed to develop a sustainable feedback system based on effective communication to improve employee engagement and loyalty.Generasi Z memiliki karakteristik unik dalam lingkungan kerja yang memerlukan strategi manajemen khusus untuk meningkatkan komitmen kerja. Feedback menjadi salah satu faktor penting yang dapat memengaruhi keterlibatan dan loyalitas karyawan terhadap organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran feedback dalam membentuk komitmen kerja karyawan, dengan mempertimbangkan aspek psikologis, sosial, dan organisasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survei pada karyawan Generasi Z di berbagai sektor industri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa feedback yang diberikan secara konsisten dan konstruktif berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan efikasi diri, motivasi intrinsik, serta keterikatan emosional terhadap organisasi. Selain itu, feedback yang bersifat mendukung terbukti mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja dan mengurangi niat untuk berpindah kerja. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa organisasi perlu mengembangkan sistem feedback yang berkelanjutan dan berbasis komunikasi efektif guna meningkatkan keterlibatan serta loyalitas karyawan.

Abstract

Work engagement was recognized as a key factor in improving performance, innovation, and organizational success amid the complexities of global dynamics. Global data showed low engagement levels, with only 23% of employees feeling engaged in their work. Affective commitment, as the emotional attachment of employees to their organization, emerged as a primary predictor of sustained engagement. This study aimed to systematically examine the role of affective commitment in enhancing work engagement and to explore its mediating relationship with organizational factors such as leadership style and work climate. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, the study analyzed 30 articles from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, following the PRISMA protocol. The findings revealed that affective commitment served as a direct predictor, a mediator in the relationship between ethical and servant leadership with engagement, and a buffer against stress and turnover. Furthermore, organizational factors such as high-involvement work practices and an ethical climate were found to reinforce affective commitment. The study’s practical implications emphasized the importance of value-based human resource development strategies, the strengthening of ethical leadership culture, and the creation of a supportive work environment to foster sustainable engagement and improve organizational competitiveness in the modern era. Keterlibatan kerja sebagai faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan kinerja, inovasi, dan keberhasilan organisasi di tengah dinamika global yang kompleks. Data global menunjukkan rendahnya tingkat keterlibatan, di mana hanya 23% karyawan merasa engaged dalam pekerjaan mereka. Affective commitment, sebagai keterikatan emosional karyawan terhadap organisasi, muncul sebagai prediktor utama keterlibatan kerja yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis peran affective commitment dalam meningkatkan work engagement, serta mengeksplorasi hubungan mediatif dengan faktor-faktor organisasi seperti gaya kepemimpinan dan iklim kerja. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap 30 artikel dari database Scopus, Web of Science, dan Google Scholar, dengan proses seleksi mengikuti protokol PRISMA. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa affective commitment berperan sebagai prediktor langsung, mediator hubungan kepemimpinan etis dan servant leadership dengan engagement, serta sebagai pelindung terhadap stres dan turnover.. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini menekankan perlunya strategi pengembangan sumber daya manusia berbasis nilai, penguatan budaya kepemimpinan etis, dan penciptaan lingkungan kerja yang suportif untuk membangun keterlibatan kerja yang berkelanjutan dan meningkatkan daya saing organisasi di era modern.

Abstract

Twenty percent (20%) of maternal mortality in developing countries is caused by iron deficiency anaemia. Meanwhile, the prevalence of anaemia in pregnancy in Asia is estimated at 48.2%, Africa 57.1%, America 24.1%, and Europe 25.1%. The trend of anaemia in pregnancy has increased in every years. To find out the risk factors that cause anaemia in pregnant women based on the research results in the health sector from 2014 to 2018. A literature review, by analyzing various studies regarding risk factors for anaemia in pregnant women. There are 17 studies from Indonesian and international researchers. From the results obtained, the educational factor is the most widely studied with a significant result (OR=2.467). Maternal factors that have significant influence are gestational age (OR=1.29) and nutritional status (OR=2.921), while nutrient intake factors that have a significant effect on anaemia in pregnant women are food intake (OR=2.54) and fluid intake (OR=2.91). Education level, nutritional status, food and beverage consumed are risk factors that have an effect on anaemia in pregnant women. Therefore, prevention measures for anaemia in pregnant women can be done by increasing maternal education and improving nutritional status with adequate nutrient intake.

Abstract

Self-esteem adalah penilaian individu terhadap diri sendiri yang memengaruhi cara berpikir dan perilaku individu sehari-hari. Pada siswa, self-esteem memegang peran penting dalam proses pembelajaran, seperti keberanian mengungkapkan pendapat dan tampil di depan umum. Siswa dengan self-esteem rendah akan berdampak pada perilaku belajar, seperti menarik diri, menolak tantangan akademik hingga menunjukkan reaksi emosional negatif. Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy adalah pendekatan konseling yang mengajarkan individu untuk mengubah keyakinan irasional yang menyebabkan ketidakmampuan adaptif menjadi pemikiran yang lebih rasional dan konstruktif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penerapan metode Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy untuk mengatasi self-esteem rendah pada siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang menggunakan desain single case dengan teknik A-B. Subjek merupakan seorang anak perempuan kelas VIII SMP usia 17 tahun yang pernah mengalami putus sekolah, dengan self-esteem rendah yang ditunjukkan dengan perilaku menolak aktivitas tampil di depan umum. Tingkat self-esteem subjek diukur dengan menggunakan skala self-esteem dari Coopersmith yaitu Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory. Asesmen tambahan berupa wawancara, observasi, tes WAIS dan grafis ditambahkan untuk memastikan adanya permasalahan self-esteem rendah. Intervensi dilakukan menggunakan metode Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy sebanyak 6 sesi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan self-esteem dari rendah ke tingkat sedang pada subjek setelah pemberian intervensi menggunakan Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy.

Abstract

The lack of ability of early childhood educators in the early detection of ASD can hinder learning objectives. On the other hand, lack of parental well-being also affects children's growth and development. This community service activity aims to help early childhood educators recognize and develop early detection skills for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children, thereby promoting the well-being of mothers, so that they can provide appropriate treatment. The training method used is the in-on-in approach, which involves learning, application, and evaluation/reflection. At the learning stage, teachers participate in a workshop that includes lecture techniques, question-and-answer sessions, simulations, and mentoring. At the application stage, teachers and mothers conduct early detection of ASD in children. Teachers work on training and collect assignments. Then, at the evaluation/reflection stage, we use quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this activity show an increase in early childhood educators' knowledge and skills regarding the early detection of ASD in children and achieving mothers' well-being. Based on the pre-test and post-test results, there was a 28.85% increase in knowledge and skills related to the early detection of ASD. Meanwhile, mothers show better well-being in caring for children with ASD. This training has a long-term impact on achieving learning objectives and the well-being of mothers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh dari kontrol diri dan ideologi maskulinitas dengan celebrity worship pada laki-laki dewasa awal penggemar boy group K-Pop. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif eksplanatori dengan menyebarkan kuesioner secara daring. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS) untuk mengukur tingkat celebrity worship, Self Control Scale (SCS) untuk mengukur kontrol diri dan Male Role Norm Inventory-Short Form (MRNI-SF) untuk mengukur sikap ideologi maskulinitas. Penelitian ini mendapatkan partisipan sebanyak 203 laki-laki penggemar boy group K-Pop dengan rentang usia 18-25 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan software SPSS. Hasil analisis uji regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa nilai R2 sebesar 0,326 atau 32,6% dengan p <0,000, dimana kontrol diri dan ideologi maskulinitas berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap celebrity worship. Kemudian, hasil uji regresi juga menyatakan bahwa unstandardized coefficient regression kontrol diri -0,354 (p < 0,001) dan ideologi maskulinitas -0,730 (p < 0,001) berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap celebrity worship
