Abstract

Off-task behavior is the behavior of students spending most of the time to engage in behaviors that are not learning and individuals spend less time on the task or learning process. Symptoms appear in aspects of overt behavior such as making excessive movements that are not related to academic activities; issuing sentences/words outside the context of learning activities; choosing not to engage in a learning activity that is happening in learning. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of self-management to reduce off-task behavior. The participant of this study was a 3rd grade elementary school, he is a boy student who had low resilience in doing assignments and diverted to non-academic activities such as sleeping, playing with stationery, leaving the class to go to the toilet, playing with spit, biting fingers, daydreaming, and putting stationery in the mouth. The assessment conducted was an interview, behavioral observational of students in schools (BOSS), Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC), Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), Draw a Person (DAP), and House Tree Person (HTP). The results showed that the participants avoided doing tasks for a long duration and experienced problems in attention in class. The intervention consisted of four treatments with 16 sessions to reduce off-task behavior, so that on-task behavior increased. The result is that self-mangament intervention is effective in reducing the duration of off-task time, the subject can complete all his assignments to completion. Abstract

This systematic literature review investigates the relationship between technostress and burnout in various organizational and educational contexts. Technostress arises from excessive or imbalanced use of information technology in work or learning environments, which can adversely affect individuals' psychological well-being. Burnout, on the other hand, is a consequence of chronic stress experienced in work or educational settings. The study involves systematic steps in searching, selecting, evaluating, and synthesizing relevant literature from academic databases and other sources. Findings from the literature review reveal that technostress factors such as techno-overload, techno-invasion, techno-complexity, and others significantly contribute to individuals' levels of burnout. Recommendations for future research include the need for a mixed methods approach integrating quantitative and qualitative methods to gain deeper understanding, as well as longitudinal studies to track the development of technostress and burnout over time. This research provides a strong foundation for the development of effective policies and management practices aimed at reducing the negative impacts of technostress and enhancing individual well-being in modern work and educational environments.

Abstract

The adaptation of technology by organizations often leads to techno-overload, a situation where technology forces users to work faster and longer, resulting in decreased performance and increased stress. This research aims to identify the relationship between techno-overload to performance, and emotional exhaustion of employees through the theoretical basis of definitions and findings from several experts. The method used was a systematic literature review following the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Articles were collected from the Scopus database. From this process, 15 selected articles were analyzed in depth to explore the relationship between techno-overload, performance, and emotional exhaustion. The results showed that techno-overload, a situation where individuals feel overwhelmed by the technology they have to use, can lead to emotional exhaustion. Individuals who experience emotional exhaustion tend to feel physically and emotionally drained, thus unable to give their best in their work. In addition, emotional exhaustion also reduces employees' motivation and ability to contribute to their full potential, which ultimately results in decreased performance and difficulty in maintaining concentration. This research indicates that organizations need to manage techno-overload well to reduce its negative impact on emotional exhaustion and improve employee performance.

Abstract

The style of attachment to the individual can be an important factor in a person's satisfaction to undergo a relationship because it can predict individual expectations of the relationship that is being lived (Marchand, 2004). Attachment itself is a human desire to establish a relationship that has mutual affection with other individuals, and determines the direction of the relationship. Individuals who undergo a relationship, both in dating and marriage, of course have a different type of attachment. This study is a literature review with a systematic approach that aims to determine the attachment style relationship that adults have in their romantic relationship. The total number of articles is 11 articles from the Google scholar database and the SAGE Journal. In this case, the hypothesis of this study is that there is a correlation between attachment style and individual satisfaction with relationships.

Abstract

Stunting in early life, particularly in the first 1000 days has longterm consequences on children’s physical growth, cognitive performance, and emotional well-being. Adequate parental and community knowledge plays a critical role in enabling early recognition, prevention, and appropriate management of factors contributing to stunting. This study aims to investigate the impact of health education on community knowledge related to stunting. A cross-sectional design was applied involving 24 adult participants (≥ 18 years) from the general public in Teluk Sasah District, Bintan Island using total sampling. The educational intervention was delivered through pamphlet distribution, health talks, and discussions with experts focusing on stunting. Pre and post-test were conducted to assess their understanding about stunting. Data were analyzed using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) Software version 16.0, employing the Shapiro-wilk for normality and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to compare scores before and after the interventions. This study demonstrated a significant difference between pre-test and posttest (80.83 ± 9.74 vs 90.83 ± 7.76, p=0.000). Furthermore, the minimum score of post-test and pre-test also improved markedly (60.00 vs 70.00, p=0.000). This study found that the implementation of health education, including pamphlet distribution, classical lectures, and case discussions, effectively enhanced participants’ knowledge about stunting.

Abstract

Researchers designed the sensory science project (SSP) learning model according to the cognitive and psychological development of early childhood. SSP contains sensory stimulation activities and knowledge material which are arranged in an integrated manner in an activity project. This research aims to determine the effect of the SSP learning method on students' readiness to enter elementary school. This research method is quantitative research analysis with a quasi experiment approach. This research design uses a nonequivalent comparison group, conducting a pre-test and post-test on the control group and experimental group at the same time (Creswell, 2016). The data collected used the Nijmeegse schoolbekwaamheids Test (NST) and subject observation. The learning intervention used uses the sensory science project (SSP) module which has gone through a module testing process. The research subjects were 24 children, aged 5-6 years who were attending early childhood education at TK B level at TK RJ Sidoarjo. The results of this research found that there was an influence of implementing the SSP model on children's readiness to enter elementary school. The independent sample t-test produced a value of t(19)=2.392, p=0.027. The average posttest score for the experimental group was 55.70, while for the control group it was 46.73. The average posttest score for the experimental group was higher than the control group. This proves that there was a greater increase in scores for the experimental group after being given the SSP learning intervention. The results of this research can be used as input and consideration in designing educational methods for early childhood which include inquiry learning, sensory integration and project based learning. It is hoped that this method can support children's school readiness to enter elementary school.

Abstract

Adolescents with risky behaviors often struggle to regulate their emotions adaptively. Emotion regulation is essential for helping adolescents evaluate and respond to emotional situations in a healthy manner. Parent-child relationships and self-esteem have been found to influence these regulation abilities. This study aimed to examine whether self-esteem mediates the relationship between adolescents’ perceptions of parent-child relationships and their use of emotion regulation strategies. This quantitative research involved 214 junior high school students identified with tendencies toward risky behavior, using a cross-sectional design and convenience sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with IBM AMOS 24. The results showed that self-esteem partially and fully mediated the relationship between parent-child relationships and emotion regulation strategies, including Cognitive Reappraisal and Expressive Suppression. These findings highlight the significance of enhancing family-based interventions and fostering adolescent self-esteem to support effective emotion regulation, particularly for those at risk of maladaptive behavior.
