Abstract

Abstract

This systematic literature review investigates the relationship between technostress and burnout in various organizational and educational contexts. Technostress arises from excessive or imbalanced use of information technology in work or learning environments, which can adversely affect individuals' psychological well-being. Burnout, on the other hand, is a consequence of chronic stress experienced in work or educational settings. The study involves systematic steps in searching, selecting, evaluating, and synthesizing relevant literature from academic databases and other sources. Findings from the literature review reveal that technostress factors such as techno-overload, techno-invasion, techno-complexity, and others significantly contribute to individuals' levels of burnout. Recommendations for future research include the need for a mixed methods approach integrating quantitative and qualitative methods to gain deeper understanding, as well as longitudinal studies to track the development of technostress and burnout over time. This research provides a strong foundation for the development of effective policies and management practices aimed at reducing the negative impacts of technostress and enhancing individual well-being in modern work and educational environments.

Abstract

The adaptation of technology by organizations often leads to techno-overload, a situation where technology forces users to work faster and longer, resulting in decreased performance and increased stress. This research aims to identify the relationship between techno-overload to performance, and emotional exhaustion of employees through the theoretical basis of definitions and findings from several experts. The method used was a systematic literature review following the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Articles were collected from the Scopus database. From this process, 15 selected articles were analyzed in depth to explore the relationship between techno-overload, performance, and emotional exhaustion. The results showed that techno-overload, a situation where individuals feel overwhelmed by the technology they have to use, can lead to emotional exhaustion. Individuals who experience emotional exhaustion tend to feel physically and emotionally drained, thus unable to give their best in their work. In addition, emotional exhaustion also reduces employees' motivation and ability to contribute to their full potential, which ultimately results in decreased performance and difficulty in maintaining concentration. This research indicates that organizations need to manage techno-overload well to reduce its negative impact on emotional exhaustion and improve employee performance.

Abstract

The style of attachment to the individual can be an important factor in a person's satisfaction to undergo a relationship because it can predict individual expectations of the relationship that is being lived (Marchand, 2004). Attachment itself is a human desire to establish a relationship that has mutual affection with other individuals, and determines the direction of the relationship. Individuals who undergo a relationship, both in dating and marriage, of course have a different type of attachment. This study is a literature review with a systematic approach that aims to determine the attachment style relationship that adults have in their romantic relationship. The total number of articles is 11 articles from the Google scholar database and the SAGE Journal. In this case, the hypothesis of this study is that there is a correlation between attachment style and individual satisfaction with relationships.

Abstract

Stunting in early life, particularly in the first 1000 days has longterm consequences on children’s physical growth, cognitive performance, and emotional well-being. Adequate parental and community knowledge plays a critical role in enabling early recognition, prevention, and appropriate management of factors contributing to stunting. This study aims to investigate the impact of health education on community knowledge related to stunting. A cross-sectional design was applied involving 24 adult participants (≥ 18 years) from the general public in Teluk Sasah District, Bintan Island using total sampling. The educational intervention was delivered through pamphlet distribution, health talks, and discussions with experts focusing on stunting. Pre and post-test were conducted to assess their understanding about stunting. Data were analyzed using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) Software version 16.0, employing the Shapiro-wilk for normality and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to compare scores before and after the interventions. This study demonstrated a significant difference between pre-test and posttest (80.83 ± 9.74 vs 90.83 ± 7.76, p=0.000). Furthermore, the minimum score of post-test and pre-test also improved markedly (60.00 vs 70.00, p=0.000). This study found that the implementation of health education, including pamphlet distribution, classical lectures, and case discussions, effectively enhanced participants’ knowledge about stunting.

Abstract

The increasing trend of higher education has led to a desire for higher quality education among migrant students. Migrant students typically face a variety of challenges from the moment they leave home, including the need to adapt to both new cultures and norms, as well as new educational experiences. The purpose of this study is to examine the adjustment factors of migrant students in Indonesia by synthesizing findings from relevant studies. The method used is meta-analysis, this analysis explores the multifaceted relationship between various factors and the adjustment process of migrant students in the context of higher education in Indonesia. The procedure was to develop review questions, develop inclusion and exclusion criteria, conduct a literature search strategy, identify articles, abstract and assess the risk of bias, and synthesize findings. The databases used were Google Scholar, Garuda Portal and Microsoft Academic. There were 16 articles included in the inclusion category. The results showed that personality and intelligence factors, learning process factors, environmental factors and cultural factors significantly improved the adjustment of migrant students in Indonesia with pooled ORs of 0.48 (95% CI 0.36-0.59) for personality and intelligence factors, 0.52 (95% CI 0.33-0.72) for learning process factors, 0.35 (95% CI 0.21-0.50) for environmental factors, and -0.16 (95% CI -1.48-1.15) for cultural factors. By integrating insights from multiple sources, this meta-analysis provides a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in the adjustment of overseas students in Indonesia. The findings provide valuable insights for developing tailored support mechanisms, interventions, and policies to enhance the academic and social success of international students in higher education settings in Indonesia.
