Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui bagaimana mengembangkan laboratorium Virtual Reality menggunakan MileaLab sebagai sarana baru untuk pembelajaran praktikum; 2) mengetahui bagaimana cara menggunakan laboratorium Virtual Reality yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Pengembangan perangkat lunak berupa media aplikasi pendukung laboratorium Virtual Reality dilakukan dengan pendekatan rekayasa dimana tahapannya adalah: analisis, desain, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Penggunaan laboratorium Virtual Reality dapat diterapkan dengan melihat hasil pengembangan berdasarkan validasi ahli materi memperoleh kategori sangat baik, validasi ahli media memperoleh kategori sangat baik, Analisis Keefektifan dan Kepraktisan Penggunaan laboratorium Virtual Reality, kemudian Penilaian Kepraktisan produk laboratorium Virtual Reality memperoleh kategori sangat baik. Aplikasi Laboratorium Virtual Reality menggunakan MileaLab didesain secara online dengan memperhatikan fitur-fitur yang ada seperti pada laboratorium sesungguhnya, serta navigasi dapat berfungsi secara bebas sesuai kemauan user seolah berada dalam ruangan yang nyata.  Kata Kunci: Laboratorium Virtual Reality, MileaLab, Rekayasa Sistem Robotika

Abstract

Abstrak. Laboratorium teknik elektronika memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap kebakaran, kebocoran gas, dan paparan bahan berbahaya, sehingga memerlukan sistem pengawasan real-time yang andal. Penelitian ini mengembangkan prototipe sistem keamanan dan keselamatan laboratorium berbasis sensor dan Internet of Things (IoT) yang terintegrasi dengan kecerdasan buatan (AI) untuk deteksi dini dan respons otomatis di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Elektronika FT UNM. Sistem menggunakan sensor api (flame sensor), sensor suhu (DS18B20), dan sensor gas karbon monoksida (MQ-7) yang terhubung ke mikrokontroler Arduino serta platform IoT. Data sensor diolah secara real-time melalui algoritma AI untuk prediksi bahaya, dilengkapi notifikasi push ke aplikasi mobile, aktivasi alarm, dan penguncian pintu solenoid otomatis. Metodologi mencakup studi literatur, analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, pengembangan prototipe, pengujian skenario bahaya, serta evaluasi kuantitatif (akurasi deteksi, waktu respons) dan kualitatif (kepuasan pengguna). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan semua sensor berfungsi optimal (ON), data terbaca pada LCD 16x2, notifikasi diterima smartphone, dan sistem berhasil mendeteksi serta merespons ancaman secara akurat dan cepat. Prototipe ini meningkatkan keselamatan laboratorium secara signifikan, mendukung pengawasan jarak jauh, dan selaras dengan standar OSHA serta regulasi keselamatan nasional.Kata Kunci: Laboratorium, Kecerdasan Buatan (AI), Standar OSHA

Abstract

Abstrak. The purpose of this study was to develop a Mixed Reality (MR)-based training model for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in vocational education, specifically for students of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar. This development research employed the Research and Development (R&D) approach, consisting of the stages of needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The MR training model was developed through the creation of interactive simulation scenarios that integrate real and virtual environments to support students' understanding of OHS procedures. Expert validation was conducted to assess the model’s feasibility, followed by limited trials involving vocational students to obtain empirical feedback on usability and learning effectiveness. The results of expert validation indicated that the MR-based training model was categorized as highly valid, with an overall mean score of 3.82 across indicators including construction, content, language, interactivity, technical performance, and procedural accuracy. Student responses also showed highly positive perceptions, where more than 90% of participants agreed or strongly agreed that the implementation of Mixed Reality enhanced their understanding of OHS procedures, improved readiness before practice, facilitated independent learning, and increased engagement during training sessions. The MR simulations provided a safe, immersive, and risk-free learning environment that supported the development of OHS competencies. In conclusion, the Mixed Reality–based training model developed in this study is feasible, effective, and recommended for broader implementation in vocational education. The model significantly improves students’ comprehension of OHS concepts, strengthens risk identification skills, and supports active and independent learning. It is also recommended that institutions enhance supporting infrastructure and expand scenario development to maximize the benefits of MR-based training in OHS programs.Kata Kunci: Mixed Reality, Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3), Pendidikan Vokasi, Model Pelatihan, Simulasi Interaktif.
