Abstract

The effectiveness of  jump-shoot technique step jump shoot and still jump shoot in a game is still questionable,  because many different assumptions arise. One opinion stated that step jump shoot was more effective and the other stated that and still jump shoot was more efective. Therefore it is necessary to do research on the analysis of the results of step jump shoot and and still jump shoot to improve the accuracy of shooting in a basketball. The experimental research had been conducted on 20samples of people whowere selected randomly from the men's basketball club of the Faculty of Physical Educationand Health of Teacher Training Institute PGRI Bali. Samples were divided into two groups each  consisting of 10 people. Group I was given training step  jump shoot four sets of 10 reps  and Group II training still jump shoot four sets of 10 reps. The data before and after treatment were tested by SPSS computer program. The data were normally distributed and homogeneous so further tested using pairedt-test to compare the average values?? before and after training between each group, while the independent t-test was used to determine differences in mean values?? between the two groups. Paired t-test resulted the obtained data were significantly increased in both treatment groups p=0,001 in Group I and p=0,000 in Group II (p <0.05). Results of independent t-test found that both groups before training did not differ significantly p=0,926 (p>0.05) and after training both groups equally improve the accuracy of shooting because p=0,133 (p>0.05). It was concluded that botht raining improved the shooting accuracy and there was no difference between the effect of step jumps hoot and still jump shoot toward the shooting accuracy. It was suggested to improve the shooting accuracy in basketball used step jump shoot training and still jump shoot training four sets of 10 reps with a training frequency of 4 times a week for 6 weeks

Abstract

Sepak bola merupakan bagian dari permainan yang bertujuan untukberusaha memasukkan bola ke gawang lawan. Kenyataan di lapangan banyakpemain yang tidak memiliki kemampuan untuk melakukan tembakan ke arahgawang. Sehingga perlu dibuat program latihan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatanketepatan tembakan ke arah gawang. model pelatihan yang diberikan yaitupelatihan passing ke dinding dan pelatihan passing berpasangan. Penelitiandilakukan dengan pre dan post test group design di SDN 1 Kediri. Jumlah sampel24 orang yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, masing-masing kelompok terdiri dari12 orang, Kelompok-1 diberikan pelatihan passing ke dinding dan Kelompok-2diberikan pelatihan passing berpasangan. Analisis deskriptif menunjukkanantropometri subjek penelitian dengan karakteristik yang sama. Hasil ujipeningkatan dengan t-paired menunjukkan skor awal Kelmpok-1 12,58 dan skorahir Kelompok-1 28,83 dengan p=0,000.dan skor awal Kelompok-2 11,25 danskor ahir Kelompok-2 20,50 p=0,000. Hasil uji beda dengan uji t-independentmenunjukkan skor awal Kelompok-1 12,58 dan skor awal Kelompok-2 11,25dengan nilai p= 0,083 dan skor ahir Kelompok-1 28,83 dan skor akhir Kelompok-2 20,50 dengan nilai p= 0,000. Dari hasil uji t-paired dan t-independentdidapatkan p<0,05. Menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini memberikan pengaruhberbeda bermakna. Hal ini disebabkan pelatihan passing ke dinding lebih fokusdan lebih konsentrasi pada bola. Disimpulkan pelatihan passing ke dinding lebihbaik daripada pelatihan passing berpasangan dalam meningkatkan ketepatantembakan pada permainan sepak bola SD Negeri 1 Kediri. Untuk itu disarankankepada para pelatih dan guru olahraga yang melatih cabang sepak bola untukmenerapkan pelatihan passing ke dinding dalam memberikan pelatihan.

Abstract

Background: Kick accuracy is a person's ability to control free movements against a target. Kick accuracy are influenced by core muscles, concentration and dynamic balance. Back strengthening exercise and Pilates exercise was given by the researcher to improve the accuracy of kicking among soccer players. Purpose: The difference effect of back strengthening exercise and Pilates exercise on kick accuracy among soccer players. Methods: This study was quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test group design. There were 22 subjects divided randomly into 2 groups. Group I with back strengthening exercise and group II Pilates exercise. Exercise was given 3 times a week for 5 weeks. Kick accuracy measurement tool used plywood target measurement. Result: research shows that the intervention that was given to groups I and II could improve kick accuracy in soccer players. The effect test are using paired sample t-test in group I with mean pre and post test, obtained (p=0.004) and in group II obtained (p=0.011). The different test among two groups are using independent sample t test with post treatment data in each group, obtained (p=0.100). Conclusion: There is no difference in the effect between giving back strengthening exercise and Pilates exercise to the accuracy of kick on the soccer player.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Proses penuaan dialami semua manusia secara alamiah. Penuaan ditandai perubahan yang terjadi pada sistem-sistem tubuh manusia. Sistem muskuloskeletal, sistem persyarafan, sistem kardiovaskuler, dan pancaindera mengalami perubahan-perubahan yang berdampak pada timbulnya gangguan pada lansia seperti gangguan keseimbangan, gangguan koordinasi, serta ganggua kognitif. Hal-hal tersebut menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan pada lansia, terutama masalah keseimbangan yang berdampak meninggiya resiko jatuh, penurunan performa akifitas hingga berkurangnya produkifitas lansia bahkan kematian. Latihan yang baik untuk meningkatkan keseimbangan lansia adalah latihan aktifitas dinamis (dynamic activities) antara lain latihan tari Jawa Tengah modifikasi dan latihan proprioseptif. Tujuan: (1) untuk membuktikan bahwa latihan tari Jawa Tengah modifikasi meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis pada lansia, (2) membuktikan bahwa latihan proprioseptif dapat meningkatan keseimbangan dinamis pada lansia, dan (3) Antara latihan tari Jawa Tengah modifikasi dan latihan proprioseptif manakah yang lebih meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis pada lansia. Metode: dilakukan penelitian terhadap komunitas lansia pada paguyuban Simeon-Hanna di Gereja Maria Assumpa Klaten. Penelitian melibatkan dua kelompok perlakuan yaitu kelompok dengan intervensi latihan tari Jawa Tengah modifikasi dan kelompok latihan .proprioseptif. Penelitian dilakukan selama 8 minggu dengan frekwensi 2 kali perminggu dan durasi 55 menit dalam satu sesi latihan. Alat ukur untuk keseimbangan diamis dan resiko jatuh menggunakan Time Up and Go (TUG) test. Hasil penelitian didapatkan: (1) Terdapat peningkatan keseimbangan dinamis pada kelompok latihan tari jawa tengah modifikasi dengan nilai p=0,000 (p?0,05) (2) terdapat peningkatan keseimbangan dinamis pada kelompok latihan propriosetif dengan nilai p= 0,012 (p?0,05). (3)Tidak ditemukan perbeda signifikan pada perubahan keseimbangan dinamis baik pada kelompok latihan tari maupun kelompok latihan proprioseptif yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai p=0,069 (p?0,05). Simpulan: latihan tari Jawa Tengah modifikasi dan latihan proprioseptif sama-sama baik untuk meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis lansia Kata kunci: keseimbangan dinamis, tari Jawa Tengah modifikasi, latihan propriosepif

Abstract

Introduction: Quadriceps strengthening usualy find in fitness center or clinical rehabilitation physiotherapy programs, there are two methods in strengthening quadriceps programs, closed kinetic chain and open kinetic chain methods, several researchers use to used these methods for reducing pain intensity, improve functional ability and reducing quadriceps angle, indeed these methods can be used to prevent patellofemoral pain syndrome risk in asymptomatic person with abnormal q angle. Purpose: Purpose of this study is to study the difference of closed and open kinetic chain to maintain quadriceps angle on subject with abnormal quadriceps angle. Method: This experimental study is to compare closed and open kinetic chain to maintain quadriceps angle in subject with abnormal quadriceps angle, thirty six males samples 15 to 21 years old devided into two Groups, Group 1 applied a treatment with closed kinetic chain methods using barbell squat training and the second group have applied a treatment with open kinetic chain method using leg extension training, quadriceps angle measured before and after treatment to each Group, Result: Both quadriceps strengthening methods, closed and open kinetic chain has same beneficial to maintain quadriceps angle, Group 1 after analyzed by paired t test show the mean right quadriceps angle 13.38 ± 2.93 degree and the mean of left quadriceps angle 12.88 ± 2.44 degree, with significancy value p = 0.001, likewise in Group 2 after analyzed by paired t test show the mean of right quadriceps angle 15.66 ± 2.74 degree and the mean of left quadriceps angle is 15.38 ± 3.22 degree, with significancy value p = 0.001, but closed kinetic chain method is more effective than open kinetic chain in maintaining quadriceps angle with p < 0.05. Conclusion: Therefore this result of study can be reference for reader as an athlete, fitness instructor and physiotherapist in order to get better understanding to choose and create best training program for quadriceps strengthening. Therefore it’s been suggest to someone if they have abnormal quadriceps angle, they must choose the closed kinetic chain exercise as the main program in quadriceps training program

Abstract

Waktu tempuh memanjat sangat menentukan kemenangan bagi atlet panjat tebing kategori speed world record, oleh sebab itu peningkatan kondisi fisik seperti power lengan dan tungkai serta kekuatan daya tahan jari-jari tangan dan kaki diperlukan untuk mendukung mempercepat waktu pemanjatan. Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pelatihan kombinasi power training dan calf raises lebih mempercepat waktu tempuh memanjat daripada power training dan hand grip. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan rancangan randomized pre-test and post test group design. Sampel sebanyak 20 atlet perempuan berusia 15-20 tahun, dibagi menjadi 2, Kelompok I (power traning dan hand grip) sebanyak 10 orang dan Kelompok II (power traning dan calf raises) sebanyak 10 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 6 minggu dan pengukuran dilakukan dengan mengukur waktu tempuh memanjat menggunakan stopwatch. Hasil yang didapat dari uji paired sample t-test pada Kelompok I didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05), dan pada Kelompok II didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Uji beda nilai rerata dengan independent sample t-test setelah perlakuan didapatkan waktu tempuh memanjat tebing pada Kelompok II (10,6 ± 0,966) lebih cepat daripada kelompok I (12,1 ± 1,449) dengan nilai p = 0,014 (p < 0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan kombinasi power training dan calf raises lebih mempercepat waktu tempuh memanjat daripada power training dan hand grip pada atlet pemanjat tebing FPTI Kabupaten Karangasem Bali. Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: High duration of training performed by swimmers with dominant freestyle stroke, resulted in significant number of shoulder rotation movement. The presence of continous movement that occurs in the shoulder of swimmers can cause the risk of shoulder injury, known as swimmer’s shoulder. The presence of shoulder injuries among swimmers resulting a decrease in functional ability on the shoulder of swimmers. The training of shoulder girdle dynamic stabilization and prone scapular stabilization is a training that can be used to improve the functional ability among swimmers shoulders. Method: This study used randomized pre test and post test control group design. This study performed on 20 swimmers that diagnosed of swimmer shoulder injury which divided into 2 groups. Treatment Group was given shoulder girdle dynamic stabilization and Control Group was given prone scapular stabilization training. Shoulder functional ability was measured using SPADI and analized on each group. Result: This research showed that every functional training that was given to each sample groups giving an effect to improving shoulder functional ability post swimmer’s shoulder injury among swimmers. There are significant alteration in Treatment Group and Control Group from pre to post test, both was obtained (p< 0.001). There is significant difference from post test between Treatment Group and Control Group, came with (p=0.001). Conclusion: Shoulder girdle dynamic stabilization better than prone scapular stabilization training in improving the functional ability of the shoulder post swimmer shoulder injury among freestyle stroke swimmer athlete in West Kalimantan. Abstract

Long jump ability is part of athletic event, which was based on power ability. Meanwhile power was influenced by the type of training. Among some training types there are plyometric broad jump training and plyometric box jump training.The purpose of this research is to find out which one is more effective to increase the long jump ability between plyometric broad jump training and plyometric box jump training. Pretest – Posttest two group designs was used in this study. Samples of the study were taken from male students of Primary Secondary School or Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) PGRI 2 Denpasar. Students were randomly divided into two groups (group 1 and group 2) each consist of 12 subjects proportionally. Group 1 was trained plyometric box jump and group 2 was trained plyometric broad jump respectively. The durationof training was 6 weeks and the frequency was three time a week. The test of long jump was carried out before and after 6 weeks training. These pre and post result of distance of long jump were compared each other. The result and statistical t-test analysis are as follows. Mean distance of long jump before training of group 1(344.25 cm) and group 2 (355.75 cm) was not significantly difference (p > 0.05). Meanwhile result after training of group 1 (mean 374.75 cm, increasing jump 30.50 cm) and group 2 (mean 397.33 cm, increasing jump 41.58 cm), were also significantly difference (p < 0.05). This study conclude that plyometric broad jump training more increasing the ability to long jump than plyometric box jump training among male students SMP PGRI 2 Denpasar. The value of mean difference was 11.08 cm. It is recommended to coaches and sport teachers can choose this broad jump training method to increase the ability of long jump of primary high school students.

Abstract

Boxing is the basic gesture for all martial arts, because all of them definitely use the shadow shot and common shot. These two types of shots are related each other because anaerobic capacity must go along with aerobic capacity.To attain the proper knowledge about the method of shadow shot and common shot in increasing VO2max for the endurance of arm muscles for boxer athletes in Central Lombok Regency. Research was experimental with pre-test and post-test control group design, this research wasconducted in Pertina Lombok Tengah Regency. The research subjects involved 15 people divided into two groups, 7 and 8 samples respectively. The control group given only shadow shot while treatment group given common shot. This training held 3 times a week in six weeks for both groups. The analyses data with independent t-test. Abstract

Overweight was one of the adolescent health problem in Indonesia. Aerobic exercise can reduce body fat, prevent overweight and increase flexibility. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of Hatha Yoga and low impact aerobic exercise to the percentage of body fat and flexibility of adolescent girl in Denpasar. Research used randomized pre-test and post-test design involved 26 subject. Group 1 treated hatha yoga and Group 2 treated low impact aerobic. This intervention was given for 6 weeks, frequency 3 times a week, for 45 minute in Sanggar Senam Studio 88 Denpasar. The result shown that hatha yoga reduced the percentage of body fat with mean decrease of 4.91% and low impact aerobic exercise with a mean decrease of 1.41%. Increasing of flexibility hatha yoga with a mean 12.58 cm and low impact aerobic exercise with a mean 8.54 cm. The result from different test used independent t test found that mean decreased for the percentage of body fat after intervention equal to 4.28% with value of p = 0.032 and mean increased flexibility by 5 cm with value of p = 0.035. That result shown that there is a significant difference of body fat percentage and flexibility after intervention during 6 weeks (p<0.05). Conclusion: hatha yoga more effective in reducing the percentage of body fat and increasing flexibility than low impact aerobic exercise of adolescent girl in Denpasar. It is suggested to individuals with overweight in order to do sports activities regularly and continuously. Hatha yoga as an alternative sport activities that can be used to reduce the percentage of body fat, increase flexibility and physical fitness.
