Abstract

Bank Indonesia has attempted to calibrate its policy approach to adopting a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) called Rupiah Digital through the Garuda project, as an effort to address the issue of shadow banking that has developed into a shadow currency issue and even a shadow central banking issue. This study aims to determine the characteristics of digital banking users in Indonesia regarding the use of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). This study was examined using panel data regression analysis and then confirmed using Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Structural (SEM-PLS) analysis. The results show that socioeconomics (digital use), digital literacy, digital access, and digital security influence CBDC implementation in Indonesia. Furthermore, Indonesian society is ready to accept and use CBDC (r-CBDC). However, the implementation must be gradual because socioeconomics (digital use), digital literacy, digital access, and digital security in Indonesia are not evenly distributed and are still centered on the island of Java.

Abstract

The paradox of natural resource management is the finding that is the basis for this study. The paradox shows that areas that depend on natural resource management, such as mining and quarrying, have lower scores in supervision, partnerships, and law enforcement scores than areas with no income from mining and quarrying activities. The Qualitative, quantitative comparative analysis (QCA) method is used to find the pathway that causes the paradox in each research area; QCA will provide a general pathway as to why an area has different characteristics from other regions even though they have identical scores and indicators in statistical measurements. As the result, The qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) shows that regional areas with a high composite index score have certain pathway characteristics, such as the high integrity of public employees and the low level of corrupt behavior in the area.

Abstract

Fiscal independence affects the revenue and expenditure patterns of a local government which in turn affects economic growth and can reduce poverty and unemployment. This study was conducted in 33 provinces in Indonesia using secondary data with a time span from 2013 to 2019. The model used is a dynamic simultaneous panel model with the SYS-GMM approach. Besides that, there is a need to develop fiscal independence index to obtain clearer conditions for fiscal independence. Revenue Sharing Fund variable that is not included in the calculation. Revenue Sharing Fund is a source of income that is already generated by a region. Readjustments are needed by including revenue sharing funds in the calculation. The newly developed fiscal independence index more clearly describes the condition. Riau, Lampung and South Sulawesi were included in the independence fiscal region category that was not previously. Fiscal independence has a significant effect and positive relationship with GRDP. Meanwhile, the reduced form results on poverty and unemployment show that GRDP has a significant negative effect on poverty and unemployment. Fiscally independent regions are better at reducing poverty and unemployment.

Abstract

There are two kinds of factors that influenced companies’ valuation: systematic factors and fundamental factors. The relationship between the company valuation of cement companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and several systematic factors and fundamental factors need to be identified to know determinant factors of the valuation. The valuation of each company from 2013 to 2019 was examined to four systematic factors: the excess capacity of each company (idle capacity), market share, government infrastructure spending, and excess supply of cement in the market. As a result of the panel data regression between valuation as the dependent variable and the four systematic factors in this research, the market share has a greater influence on the valuation than the other three factors, the government infrastructure spending, the excess capacity of each company, and the oversupply of cement in the market. Fundamental factors as valuation determinants have been examined and identified, then through relative valuation-multiples, the panel data regression of valuation as the dependent variable and fundamental factors showed companies fundamental factors have a higher influence on the valuation of SMCB, SMGR and INTP, meanwhile, non-fundamental factors have a higher influence on SMCB and SMCB and SMBR valuation. Keywords: valuation, infrastructure budget, oversupply of cement market, company’s excess capacity

This research uses a combination research method approach (mixed methods research) and the analysis of the data used in this study is Logical Framework Analysis (LFA). To manage organizational change, a recommended conceptual model of organizational change is needed, namely the Strategic Model Change Management. Where external and internal influences of the organization are input into changes driven by leadership, culture, and human resources factors. Abstract

In implementing evidence-based policies, it is necessary to support poverty data that is precise, accurate, and consistent. The goal is that various assistance, such as social assistance, PKH, groceries, pre-employment, and other subsidies, will be right on target for people experiencing poverty. The diversity of poverty data sources will have implications for the inaccuracy of targeting social assistance recipients. Until now, there are still three sources of poverty data, namely the Statistics Indonesia, the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) with Integrated Data on Social Welfare (DTKS), and TNP2K, which is now under the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko KMK) which also releases data targeting the Acceleration of Extreme Poverty Elimination (P3KE). The purpose of this study is to analyze the distribution of poverty data and rank analysis of poverty data from three data sources in the Bekasi Regency. The analysis method used ArcGIS 10.4 software and the administrative map shapefile for the Bekasi Regency area. In the ranking analysis of poverty data from three data sources in each sub-district in Bekasi Regency, the Preference Ranking Organization Methods For Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) method was used. The results of the analysis showed that the distribution of P3KE data is 1,317,098 people spread by decile-1 to decile-4 in all sub-districts of Bekasi Regency. Statistics Indonesia data is 229,367 people spread across each sub-district, and the number of DTKS in Bekasi Regency is 1,035,402 people, with the most distribution of data in Babelan District, namely 110,867 people out of 34,009. While the best ranking of the three sources of poverty data is Central Cikarang, Pebayuran District (0.7273), North Tambun (0.6364), Cibitung and Karang Bahagia (0.4242), North Cikarang (0.3939), South Tambun (0 .3636), Sukatani (0.2121), Serang Baru (0.1515), West Cikarang (0.1212), Tarumajaya (0.0909), East Cikarang (0.0606).

Abstract

Inclusive and sustainable economic development is a very important and relevant approach to be applied in various regions in Indonesia, including in areas that are in the process of becoming new autonomous regions, namely North Sukabumi Regency. This approach aims to create economic growth that not only encourages increased income but also ensures that the benefits are felt by all levels of society, including marginalized groups, while maintaining ecosystem balance and creating a better future generation. This study analyzes potential economic leading sectors to promote inclusive and sustainable economic development. The selection of leading sectors was carried out using the Promethee method, which is an outranking-based multi-criteria analysis (MCA) method based on a preference index. A total of 12 criteria were used, and data were obtained through questionnaires from several experts. The results of this study indicate that the development of the Food Crops, Horticulture, and Food and Beverage Industries subsectors is a potential sector recommended for promoting inclusive and sustainable economic development.
