Abstract

Research on expressive speech acts in novels is an important study to learn and understand. This research intends to discuss the types and functions of expressive speech in the novel Ranah 3 Warna by Ahmad Fuadi. The study of this novel is a descriptive method of qualitative research. The data of this research is in the form of characters' speech in the novel which relies on expressive speech acts. Data was collected using documentation techniques with the assistance of corpus linguistik technology, namely the korpus nusantara. The data was analyzed using computational linguistics technique through the stages of identification, classification, interpretation, and conclusion. This research found: (1) types of expressive speech acts: congratulating and thanking, expressing pleasure and anger, apologizing, praising, criticizing, insinuating, complaining, and insulting, (2) functions of expressive speech acts: convivial, collaborative, conflictive, and competitive functions.

Abstract

The background of this research aims to describe the type of expressive submission in the novel Two Blue Lines of Lucia Priandarini's work. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive methods. The source of data used in this research is the novel Two Blue Lines. This research data is the dialogue-dialogue of the characters found in the novel two blue lines by Lucia Priandarini. Data collected by recording method. The implementation is carried out in several steps as follows: (1) classify the data according to the type of expressive follow-up in the novel Two Blue Lines by Lucia Priandarini (2) analyze the data that has been classified then interpret the data in accordance with the theory used (3) formulate conclusions based on the results of research and interpretation. Based on data analysis, eleven types of expressive behavior were identified: critical, angry, surprised, apologizing, praising, complaining, accusing, feeling happy, expressing gratitude, happiness or pleasure, and feeling ashamed. The most dominant expressive act of exaltation used in the novel Two Blue Lines is expressive expression of criticism and anger.

Abstract

The language laboratory plays a pivotal role in enhancing English language proficiency at Pesantren Musthofawiyah Purba Baru. Through a mixed-methods research approach, including quantitative analysis and qualitative insights, this study investigates the utilization patterns, effectiveness, challenges, and recommendations associated with the language laboratory. Findings reveal significant improvements in vocabulary acquisition, grammatical accuracy, oral fluency, and listening comprehension. Student testimonials highlight increased confidence and proficiency, while teacher perspectives emphasize innovative pedagogical strategies and technological resources. Challenges include resource constraints, curriculum integration, and cultural factors. Recommendations focus on infrastructure investment, curriculum alignment, and teacher training. Overall, language laboratories are instrumental in fostering linguistic empowerment and academic excellence, contributing to global citizenship and educational innovation.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) explaining there a contribution learning motivation in the exposition text writing skills students class X SMA Negeri 1 Kampar; (2) explaining there a contribution mastery of effective sentence in the exposition text writing skills students class X SMA Negeri 1 Kampar; and (3) explaining there a contribution learning motivation and mastery of effective sentence in the exposition text writing skills students class X SMA Negeri 1 Kampar. The research sample is taken 15% of the total population of students each class are 40 students. The data of this research is from the score result of learning motivation questionnaire, the score test results mastery of effective sentence and score test result exposition text writing skills that is converted into value. The results showed that the learning motivation and mastery of effective sentences can be used as predictors to improve learning outcomes exposition text writing skills. Therefore, to increase learning outcomes writing skills, the students are given the learning motivation to write and mastery of effective sentences.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persentase tingkat kekerabatan, menentukan waktu perpisahan, dan menjelaskan korespondensi bunyi antara bahasa Jawa Wonogiri di Tiakar dan bahasa Minangkabau di Tiakar Payakumbuh, Sumatera Barat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif dalam bidang linguistik sejarah komparatif. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan penelitian, diperoleh tiga kesimpulan. Pertama, persentase tingkat kekerabatan adalah 20%, dengan 40 kosakata yang berkerabat dari 200 kosakata dasar. Kedua, waktu pisah kedua bahasa adalah 3707 tahun yang lalu. Jika dihitung dari tahun 2023 waktu kedua bahasa tersebut adalah 1684 SM. Ketiga, korespondensi bunyi antara kedua bahasa dapat dilihat dalam bentuk 5 pasang kosa kata yang identik, 28 kata penggantian bunyi fonem, 1 pengurangan bunyi, dan 6 penambahan bunyi. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa berdasarkan persentase tingkat kekerabatan dan lamanya dua bahasa berpisah, kedua bahasa tersebut termasuk dalam klasifikasi keluarga dari satu turunan (stock).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bermaksud mendeskripsikan ucapan dr. Tirta di postingan Instagram tentang bagaimana pemerintah Indonesia menangani Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif dan analisis bahasa. Temuan penelitian tersebut adalah kosakata yang mengandung komentar postingan instagram terkait kinerja pemerintah. Data untuk sumber penelitian ini adalah postingan instagram dr. Tirta yang dipublikasikan bulan Maret 2020 sampai Agustus 2021. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik snowball. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian dengan mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan menarik kesimpulan dari data yang ada. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, Pertama, komentar yang mengungkapkan sikap setuju terhadap kinerja pemerintah ditemukan sebanyak 64 data. Kedua, komentar yang mengungkapkan sikap tidak setuju terhadap kinerja pemerintah ditemukan sebanyak 101 data. Dengan demikian, komentar dr.Tirta terhadap kinerja pemerintah yang dilihat dari penggunaan kosakata lebih cenderung menunjukkan sikap tidak setuju dari pada sikap setuju. Analisis wacana digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa untuk membuat bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan keterampilan menulis yang mendasar. Menulis berita, menulis esai, dan bentuk tulisan lainnya adalah keterampilan dasar yang terkait langsung dengan diskusi penelitian.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the theory of linguistics and find out the use of the figures speech contained in snack advertisements and to assist students in achieving the optimal learning objectives so that they are proficient in determining themes, using appropriate diction and figure of speech and interesting forms of writing in writing advertisement. This was a qualitative study using descriptive methods. The research data were in the form of advertisement texts spoken by the advertising stars and the line's slogan. Data were collected by using the method of listening to the note-taking technique. An interactive analysis model was used to analyze the data. The data validation in the form of a triangulation technique was used in this study. The findings showed that there were thirty advertisements for snacks and one hundred and forty-five data containing non-comparative figures of speech. The most dominant type of non-comparative figure of speech was ninety-seven hyperboles. Thus, it can be concluded that there are several important things from the research results, namely the use of other figures of speech, the form of a figure of speech, and the meaning of non-comparative figures of speech in snack advertisements on Indonesian television.

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe the use of the adverbs in the novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu work Tere Liye. This type of research is descriptive qualitative linguisyic research. That is, this research aimd to describe th types and form of aspects of adverbial markers in the novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu work Tere Liye. This reseach uses a descriptive metdod because the data collected is in the form sentences, not number. The data analysis technique in this research utilizes the Indonesian language corpus linguistic method using KORTARA to collect data and classify the amount of data. Data analysis technique are carried out by, (a) data reduction; (b) data presentation; (c) interesting conclusion. The research finds in the novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu work Tere Liye adverbs aspect marker as many as 716 for the use of adverbs aspect markers. The conclusion of this research is the use of adverbs in novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu work Tere Liye. The statement is evidenced by the phrase and sentence in the novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu work Tere Liye which shows the appearance of adverbs of adverbs

Abstract

This research is motivated by linguistic phenomena contained in a novel or literary work. This research aims to describe the use of the coordinating conjunction 'and' in the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data for this research are sentences containing the coordinating conjunction 'and'. The source of research data is the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye. The data collection technique uses documentation techniques with corpus linguistic methods through the KORTARA application. The data collected in this research was obtained through the Kortara application. The data collected in this research is then analyzed using the following steps: (1) downloading the data obtained from the target corpus in the Kortara application into an Excel file, (2) identifying the data according to the research objectives, (3) classifying the data that has been identified according to with research objectives, (4) formulating research findings, (5) draw conclusions. From the research findings, it can be concluded that the use of the coordinating conjunction 'and' in the novel Sesuk Tere Liye is based on its position, namely the first coordinating conjunction which is located between words is 343 data with a percentage of 61.14%. Second, there are 65 coordinating conjunctions located between phrases with a percentage of 11.58%. Third, there are 67 coordinating conjunctions located between clauses with a percentage of 11.94%. And fourth, there are 86 coordinating conjunctions located between sentences with a percentage of 15.32%.

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada Kelompok Pengolahan dan Pemasaran Ikan Kasiak Badoro, Kota Padang. Kelompok ini berfokus pada pengolahan ikan menjadi ikan kering yang dijual di pasar, perkantoran, dan secara online. Kelompok ini belum bisa memasarkan produknya ke pasar swalayan karena belum memiliki logo merek dan izin PIRT (Produk Industri Rumah Tangga) sebagai syarat untuk memasarkan produk di sana. Kelompok ini juga belum mengetahui cara mengurus PIRT. Untuk pemasaran secara online, kelompok ini memanfaatkan media sosial Facebook untuk menjual produknya namun hanya melalui akun ketua Poklahsar. Pemasaran di media sosial dilakukan hanya sebagai usaha sampingan apabila terjadi kelebihan produk yang dihasilkan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra, maka dilakukan kegiatan pendampingan dan pelatihan dengan hasil sebagai berikut: (1) Kelompok dapat membuat produk olahan ikan menjadi makanan olahan siap saji atau Frozen Food, (2) Kelompok memiliki pemahaman terkait pendaftaran PIRT, dan (3) Kelompok memiliki keterampilan dalam memasarkan produk secara online. Kata kunci: nelayan; pemasaran; manajemen. Abstract This community service was held at the Kasiak Badoro Processing and Marketing Group in Padang City. This group focuses on processing fish into dried fish sold in markets, offices, and online. The group has not been able to market its product to supermarkets because it does not yet have a brand logo and PIRT (Household Industry Food) permit as a requirement to market products there. The group also does not know how to apply for PIRT. For online marketing, the group uses Facebook social media to sell its products but only through the account of the Poklahsar chairman. To overcome various problems, training and focus group discussions were carried out with the following results: (1) The group can make processed fish products into ready-to-eat processed foods or Frozen Food, (2) The group has an understanding related to PIRT registration, and (3) The group has skills in marketing products online. Keywords: fishermen;  marketing; management.
