Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the potential of rice bran fermented by the enzyme phytase in basal feed to the total blood cholesterol level of laying hen. This research use an experimental method in vivo with a completely randomized design consisting of six treatments and four replications in each treatment. The experimental animals used 24 48-week-old female laying hen strain Isa Brown. The treatment wa given basal feed substituted with different percentage of fermented rice bran by phytase enzyme and 2% lemuru fish oil supplementation. In this research the amount of fermented rice bran by phytase enzyme substituted on basal feed was: treatment P0 (-) (0%), P0 (+) (0%), P1 (5%), P2 (10%) P3 (15%) and P4 (20%). The results of the statistical analysis showed that there are no significant differences (p> 0.05) on total blood cholesterol levels in all treatments. The conclusion of the research is that rice bran fermented by phytase enzymes tends to decrease total blood cholesterol levels in laying hen.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of transfer factor on the number of fish blood lymphocytes and survival rate in koi fish infected with Aeromonas hydrophila. This Study implemented with method observation experimental with total lymphocytes and Survival rate on every treatment. Treatment shared into 4 groups namely P0 (not given Transfer factor and infected Aeromonas hydrophila), P1 (given 100 mg of transfer factor and then infected with Aeromonas hydrophila), P2 (given 200 mg of transfer factor and then infected with Aeromonas hydrophila), P3 (given 300 mg of transfer factor and then infected with Aeromonas hydrophila). Data obtained analyzed with analysis of variables (ANOVA) with using device soft SPSS 25 For Windows. Results obtained on study is Giving Transfer factors could Increase Amount Lymphocytes on Koi Fish (Cyprinus carpio). Giving Transfer factors could Increase graduation life or Survival Rate (SR) Koi Fish.Best dose on giving Transfer factor in increase total lymphocytes and increase Survival Rate (SR) on Koi fish is 200 mg.

Abstract

This study detected the presence of Brucella sp. antibodies in Sapera goats in Siliragung sub-district, Banyuwangi District using serological tests. The screening test used in this study was the Rose Bengal Test (RBT). Brucellosis causes goats to experience abortion and disruptive of reproduction system. The method used in this research is purposive sampling method using the criteria of sapera goats that have never been vaccinated. Using the blood serum of Sapera goats taken at the Siliragung subdistrict farm, Banyuwangi. The results of the study did not show any samples that were considered positive for Brucellosis in the Rose Bengal Test. In this study, no Brucella sp. antibodies were found in Sapera goats in Siliragung sub-district, Banyuwangi District.
