Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang kemunculan tarekat shiddiqiyyah di Desa Kalibagor Kabupaten Kebumen. Permasalahan yang akan dibahas adalah tentang sejarah, dinamika penyebaran, dan pengaruhnya dalam masyarakat. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada, penelitian ini tergolong penelitian sejarah yang secara metodologis dimulai dari pemilihan topik, pengumpulan sumber, verifikasi sumber, interpretasi data dan historiografi. Adapun metode penggalian data adalah observasi, Interwiew dan dokumentasi dengan menitikberatkan pada sumber primer berupa buku tarekat shiddiqiyyah, Interwiew, dan penelitian terdahulu. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa Tarekat Shiddiqiyyah Kalibagor dibawa oleh Kiai Ja’far Shodiq, seorang khodamul ulum sepulangnya dari Pesantren Shiddiqiyyah Ploso Jombang. Masa perkembangan tarekat dimulai dengan berdirinya pesantren Mambā’ul Mubasysyirīn Majma’al Bahroin pada tahun 2001, yang menjadi pusat kegiatan shiddiqiyyah seperti kautsaran dan khalwat. Vonis tarekat ghoiru mu’tabar dan klaim sesat shiddiqiyyah di Kalibagor menjadi cair atas penjelasan dan bukti sanad tarekat. Eksistensi shiddiqiyyah Kalibagor mampu memberikan dampak positif terhadap perkembangan sosial keagamaan seperti dalam pendidikan pesantren, rutinan dzikir kautsaran bersama dan kegiatan santunan anak yatim membawa pengaruh masyarakat lebih agamis. [This research discusses the emergence of shiddiqiyyah orders in Kalibagor Village, Kebumen Regency. The issues that will be discussed are history, the dynamics of its spread, and its influence on society. Based on existing problems, this research is classified as historical research that methodologically starts from topic selection, source collection, verification, interpretation, and historiography. While the method of extracting data through observation, interviews, and documentation by focusing on the primary source in the form of shiddiqiyyah order books, interviews, and previous research. This research resulted in the conclusion that the Kalibagor shiddiqiyyah order was brought by Kiai Ja'far Shodiq, a khodamul ulum, after returning from the Shiddiqiyyah Pesantren Ploso Jombang, the period of development of the order began the establishment of the Mambā'ul Mubasysyirīn Majma'al Bahrain pesantren in 2001 which became the center of shiddiqiyyah activities such as kautsaran and khalwat, the verdict of the ghairu mu'tabar order and the false claims of shiddiqiyyah in Kalibagor became liquid on the explanation and evidence of the order sanad (transmission). The existence of shiddiqiyyah Kalibagor can have a positive impact on the development of religious society is realized in pesantren education, routine dhikr kautsaran together, and orphan compensation activities bring the influence of a more religious society.]

Abstract

The practice of prostitution in Indonesia occurred from the time of the kingdom until after independence. In this country, prostitution is illegal, and the practice still exists today; prostitution is sexual activity between sellers and buyers in pleasure in the form of money or goods. This study will explain the historical study of prostitution in Indonesia. Through a qualitative approach, collecting relevant sources of books, articles, and online media supported by a historical-sociological approach This research results in that prostitution has long appeared, including during the time of the Prophet Muhammad. In the Prophet's time, there was still a practice of adultery narrated in the hadith that a woman complained to the Prophet that she committed adultery and wanted to be punished. The practice of sexual exploitation also occurs during the working period of Islamic Mataram through the King's concubine, who religiously must not exceed the four legal wives. Likewise, in the Dutch and Japanese, there was also prostitution. Several factors cause women to get caught up in the world of prostitution that is the most powerful there are economic factors. In normative boxing, all scholars or ulama agree that the practice of adultery through anything including localization or illegal prostitution, but in the view of the social jurisprudent, KH Sahal Mahfudz argues that localization can be a way out by eliminating it gradually and minimizing the greater negative impact.

Abstract

This research discusses the history of the Alfiena Millennium LDII Islamic Boarding School. The problems that the author discusses are about the beginning of the establishment of pesantren, the existence and controversy of pesantren and the Indonesian Islamic Da'wah Institute (LDII), and the contribution of pesantren to the development of society and the government. The author uses a historical research method that starts from the selection of topics, the collection of historical sources, verifying sources, interpretation, and writing of history.  This research resulted in the conclusion that the LDII Millennium Alfiena Islamic Boarding School is an Islamic educational institution that was initiated in 1996 by K.H. Seger Afandi Al-Choir. The condition of the Pesantren in 1998 has given rise to the trust of the community and the government to grant permission for establishment. Despite experiencing many obstacles and obstacles, the Alfiena Millennium Islamic Boarding School can develop well and can carry out communication, work, and contributions. It is proven by the contribution of the Alfiena Millennium Islamic Boarding School to LDII residents and the general public.

Abstract

One of the most popular sufi figures in the world is Shekh Abdul Qadir al-Jailani. The significant number of followers is due to his tremendous knowledge in various fields. In the reciting activities of Shekh Abdul Qadir al-Jailani’s manakib explained his life history and grandeurs. In some of his works, he explains the teachings of sufism so that manakib practitioners can live up more to this. Also, he states to what extent the values of sufism are applied. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the sufism teachings of al-Jailani referring to his work and to know the implementation of his Sufism teachings in the Al Barokah Ponorogo manakib assembly with their routine agenda on the 11th night of the Hijri month. This study employs library sources combined with field observation on the assembly’s activities. The results show that the sufism teachings of al-Jailani in the book al-Ghunyah Li Thalib Thariq al-Haq are mujahadah, tawakkal, good morals, gratitude, patience, ridha, honesty, which in its implementation through the explanation and example of kiai have been practiced by the congregation of Al Barokah manakib and manifested in social behaviors. Keywords: al-Jailani, jamaah, manakib assembly, tasawuf. Salah satu tokoh sufi yang terpopuler di dunia adalah Syekh Abdul Qadir al-Jailani. Banyaknya penggemar tokoh sufi tersebut disebabkan oleh ketinggian ilmunya di berbagai bidang. Dalam kegiatan pembacaan kitab manakib Syekh Abdul Qadir al-Jailani, dijelaskan sejarah hidup berikut karomah-karomahnya. Dalam beberapa karyanya ia menjelaskan ajaran-ajaran tasawuf sehingga bisa semakin dihayati oleh pengamal manakib serta sejauh mana nilai-nilai ajaran tasawuf diterapkan oleh pengamalnya. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini untuk mengetahui ajaran-ajaran tasawuf al-Jailani merujuk pada karyanya dan mengetahui implementasi ajaran tasawufnya di majelis manakib Al Barokah Ponorogo yang diselenggarakan rutin tiap tanggal 11 bulan Hijriyah. Kajian ini menggunakan sumber pustaka dipadukan dengan pengamatan lapangan pada kegiatan majelis tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ajaran tasawuf al-Jailani dalam kitab al-Ghunyah Li Thalib Thariq al-Haq adalah mujahadah, tawakkal, akhlak baik, syukur, sabar, ridha, jujur yang dalam implemetasinya melalui penjelasan dan keteladanan kiai sudah dipraktekkan oleh jamaah Al Barokah dan terwujud dalam perilaku sosial. Kata kunci: al-Jailani, jamaah, majelis manakib, tasawuf.

Abstract

Besides being famous as a city that has a rich Javanese cultural heritage, in Surakarta, Central Java, there are also various religious-based views and organizations, ranging from those that can be categorized as the moderate groups to the radical ones. The existence of one of the PTKIN (State Islamic Universities), namely UIN Raden Mas Said in Surakarta, certainly makes it a place for various views to flow. This study discusses the influence of religious background on the religious attitudes of UIN Raden Mas Said students. Through qualitative research methods employing surveys, this study concludes that the large variety of religious organizations in Surakarta does not necessarily affect students' religious understandings and attitudes. In contrast to several previous studies which indicated a relationship between student activities and the puritan fundamentalist movement, this study proves that the students still have a moderate, inclusive, tolerant religious understanding, respect for tradition, and are loyal to the state ideology. Amid the potential for exclusivity as an excess of being in a melting pot of various religious views, students have resilience in maintaining an attitude of religious moderation. Selain populer sebagai kota yang memiliki kekayaan warisan budaya Jawa, di Surakarta Jawa Tengah juga terdapat beragam aliran dan organisasi masyarakat berbasis keagamaan, mulai dari yang dapat dikategorikan moderat hingga radikal. Keberadaan salah satu PTKIN (Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri), yakni UIN Raden Mas Said di Surakarta, tentu menjadikannya sebagai tempat bermuaranya berbagai aliran. Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh latar belakang keagamaan terhadap sikap beragama mahasiswa UIN Raden Mas Said. Dengan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui survei, penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa banyaknya ragam aliran keagamaan yang di Surakarta tidak otomatis memengaruhi pemikiran mahasiswa menjadi radikal. Berbeda dengan beberapa penelitian sebelumnya yang mengindikasikan adanya hubungan antara kegiatan mahasiswa dengan gerakan puritan fundamentalis, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa mahasiswa masih memiliki pemahaman keagamaan yang moderat, inklusif, toleran, menghargai tradisi, dan setia terhadap ideologi negara. Di tengah potensi eksklusifitas sebagai ekses dari keberadaannya di melting pot ragam aliran, mahasiswa memiliki ketahanan dalam menjaga sikap moderasi beragama.

Abstract

AbstractThe Majelis (Assembly) of Sema'an a-Qur'an became a fairly popular tradition in the community by listening to and living the Qur'an 30 Juz. The Majelis Sema'an al-Qur'an Jantiko Mantab and Dzikrul Ghofilin are popularized by Kiai Hamim Djazuli (Gus Miek). This study explains the Moloekatan tradition derived from the Majelis Sema'an al-Quran Jantiko Mantab. Moloekatan, which means following in the footsteps of the holy angel of the coolest of animals in Sema'an al-Qur'an's activities, becomes its uniqueness in the practice of charity. Through socio-historical approaches with observation methods and interviews, this research concluded that the Moloekatan tradition became a derivative-frictions of Majelis Jantiko Mantab activities, which was directly led by one of the sons of the descendants of its founder who was equipped with the concept of riyadhah (tirakat). The form of tirakat in question is puasa (fasting). The jamaah (pilgrims) are encouraged to fast from dawn until the entry of Magrib, but in practice, not all pilgrims can observe fasting and only more emphasize to the khuffadz (memorizers of the Qur'an). The main purpose of the Majelis Sema'an Moloekatan Gus Miek is to restore the blessings of the implementation of Sema'an al-Qur'an and Dzkrul Ghofilin following the teachings of Gus Miek and sanad practice in conjunction with Gus Miek's family.Keyword: Sosio-Historical; Moloekatan; Purity; Tirakat

Abstract

This research is a biography of Kiai Ahmad Siradj bin Umar Panularan from 1878-1961. The problem discussed in this study is about the struggle for proselytizing and the treasures of the relics of Kiai Ahmad Siradj especially in da’wah. Thie research is qualitative research with a historical approach by collecting past research through books, articles, and online news and amplified by interviews. This research resulted in a conclusion. First, Kiai Ahmad Siradj was a figure who promoted Islamic proselytizing in the 20th century in Surakarta and became a disciple of Kiai Imam Bahri Mangunsari Nganjuk, Kiai Dimyathi Tremas, and Kiai Sholeh Darat. Second, Kiai Ahmad Siradj also joined the Barisan Kiai group, which fought alongside the Hizbullah troops in defending independence, especially in the Solo region. Kiai Ahmad Siradj's struggle in pioneering the Nahdlatul Ulama organization in Surakarta is evidenced by his arrival with Kiai Mawardi at the first NU Muktamar in Surabaya in 1926. Even his descendants became administrators of NU Surakarta, including Kiai Yahya Cholil Tsaquf and Gus Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, Chairman of PBNU and Minister of Religious Affairs, are his descendants. Third, Kiai Ahmad Siradj is known as a saint who has a da’wah bil hikmah (wisdom) is a follower of the Qadiriyyah wa Naqsyabandiyyah who left the pesantren, wirid/dhikr, and the writings of the pesantren book, such as safīnat al-najā, fathu al-qorīb, durratu al-bahiyyah, sullamu al-taufīq which is still stored in the pesantren.

Abstract

Most of the people, especially nahdliyin residents, still follow the practice of manakib Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Jailani. They do this to obtain the blessings of life. There are two most significant mainstream works in the reading of manakib, and the first is the book Nurul Burhani by K.H. Muslih Mranggen, and the second is the book of Jawahirul Ma’ani by K.H. Jauhari Umar Pasuruan. Each is read by many practitioners of manakib, which basically explains the biography of Abdul Qadir al-Jailani. This research is a comparative study of the historical two books by the method of library study. The results of this study are that books with each other have similarities and differences, even similarities in the content and editorial side. In a historical review, the authorship of the book influences by the experiences of different authors. Nurul Burhani’s book consists of eight parts, while the book of Jawahirul Ma’ani has ten features. Each has a lot in common in the teachings of Sufism that Always act on the truth, a figure is always connected with God at the time of dhikr and live the laws of God and be founded the teaching of Sufism like mujahadah, riyadhah, wara’, zuhud, khauf, qona’ah, sabar, syukur, muraqabah.

Abstract

The research aims to expose the issue of female leadership that is still being debated in islamic circles. In this research, the queen Ageng provides insight and firmness that the women are not subordinate by male's superiority in lifetime. Besides, the researchers used library research method. In this method, the researchers have several steps. The first, the researchers search for literature sources from a source to another source. The second, the researchers making a conclusion drawing and creating a new ideas. Furthermore, the result of this research is that queen Ageng as a female figure from Java that had a key role in the success of the 1825-1830 Java wars that inspired by prince Diponegoro. Moreover, the queen Ageng also has the role in character developing of prince Diponegoro.

Abstract

Indonesia has thousands of the oldest educational institutions, namely pesantren. According to Dutch Indonesianist Martin van Bruinessen, the first pesantren institutionally was pesantren Tegalsari Ponorogo. The pesantren was founded by Kiai Ageng Muhammad Besari but experienced its heyday in the 19th century by Kiai Hasan Besari, the grandson of the founder of pesantren. Along with the dynamics of the ups and downs of Pesantren Tegalsari, the line of the intellectual struggle of pesantren continued by its descendants such as Pondok Modern Gontor and Pesantren al-Islam Joresan. Interestingly, there is an even further genealogical relationship between the popular salaf pesantren in Kediri, namely Pesantren Lirboyo, Ploso, Jampes and Bendo, which have thousands of students. This research will reveal the historical study of Pesantren Tegalsari and its genealogical relationship or relationship with the pesantren-pesantren. Through the approach of literature studies, observations and interviews, this study concluded that there is a genealogical relationship between the four popular pesantren through the descendants of the Kiai Mesir Durenan Trenggalek taken by the son-in-law by the Tegalsari breed. So, the offspring between four pesantren at Kediri and Tegalsari connected with Tegalsari Pesantren through the path of women (wives). Kiai Mesir itself is the son of Kiai Yahuda, a Ulama from Lorok Pacitan.
