Abstract

Abstract This study investigates the prevention efforts against sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia, focusing on implemented strategies. Conducted using a quantitative survey with a descriptive design, data were gathered via questionnaires distributed across various pesantren. Results reveal that prevention is facilitated by studying specific texts on sex education like 'Uqūdu al-Lujain, Qurratul' Uyūn, and Fathul Izār. Additional measures include monitoring student communications via mobile phones, imparting advice (mau'idzoh) from religious teachers (Kiai), and enforcing strict rules on interactions between genders. The study identifies power imbalances as contributing factors, where higher-ranking individuals exploit authority to exert control. Implications suggest that sexual violence erodes public trust, necessitating collaborative preventive actions involving pesantren, communities, and government. Furthermore, stringent legal measures against perpetrators are crucial. This research significantly contributes to the literature on sexual violence prevention in religious educational settings, advocating a comprehensive approach encompassing education, supervision, and robust law enforcement to combat this issue effectively. Abstrak Studi ini menyelidiki upaya pencegahan terhadap kekerasan seksual di pesantren-pesantren di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada strategi yang diterapkan. Dilakukan menggunakan survei kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebar di berbagai pesantren. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pencegahan difasilitasi melalui studi teks-teks khusus tentang pendidikan seks seperti 'Uqūdu al-Lujain, Qurratul' Uyūn, dan Fathul Izār. Langkah-langkah tambahan meliputi pemantauan komunikasi siswa melalui telepon genggam, pemberian nasihat (mau'idzoh) dari guru agama (Kiai), dan penegakan aturan ketat mengenai interaksi antara gender. Studi ini mengidentifikasi ketidakseimbangan kekuasaan sebagai faktor penyumbang, di mana individu dengan posisi lebih tinggi mengeksploitasi otoritas untuk mengendalikan orang lain. Implikasi dari temuan ini menyarankan bahwa kekerasan seksual merusak kepercayaan publik, memerlukan tindakan preventif kolaboratif yang melibatkan pesantren, masyarakat, dan pemerintah. Selain itu, tindakan hukum yang ketat terhadap pelaku sangat penting. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap literatur tentang pencegahan kekerasan seksual di lembaga pendidikan agama, mendorong pendekatan komprehensif yang mencakup pendidikan, pengawasan, dan penegakan hukum yang kuat untuk mengatasi masalah ini secara efektif.

Abstract

Ekspresi perayaan kelahiran Nabi Muhammad mempunyai bentuk yang beragam salah satunya melalui kegiatan safari maulid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas fenomena safari maulid empat puluh dari sisi kajian historis dan makna. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian kualitatif dengan studi dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara. Untuk memperdalam makna safari maulid empat puluh menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologis. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa, pertama, tradisi safari maulid empat puluh hari berasal dari kalangan alawiyyin untuk menyemarakkan bulan kelahiran Nabi Muhammad. Kedua, pelaksanaan safari maulid empat puluh hari mempunyai makna proses penggemblengan spiritual sebagaimana empat puluh hari merupakan jumlah bilangan tirakat pada umumnya. Ketiga, praktik perayaan kelahiran nabi di bulan maulid berdasarkan jumlah hari mempunyai model yang beragama yaitu satu hari, dua belas hari, dan tiga puluh hari di bulan kelahiran nabi. Keempat, berdasarkan simbol-simbol dalam pelaksanaan maulid, pohon uang yang dibagikan kepada para jamaah mempunyai makna bersedekah agar nikmat yang diberikah semakin bertambah dengan keberkahan bulan kelahiran nabi, sedangkan atribut gantungan makanan atau peralatan rumah tangga yang ambil para jamaah saat maḥallu al-qiyām atau setelah doa akhir maulid mempunyai makna bahwa barang-barang atau makanan yang berada dalam kegiatan maulid akan mempunyai banyak memberkahi. Berdasarkan fenomenologis, walaupun tidak semuanya memahami makna empat puluh hari, namun praktik pengamalan safari maulid nabi empat puluh hari dapat menumbuhkan kebiasaan (habituasi) baik dalam mencintai dan meneladani nabi. Abstract

This research discusses the existence of pesantren LDII Millennium Alfiena and its contributions. Based on existing problems, the author uses historical research methods that start by selecting topics, collecting historical sources, verifying sources, interpretations, and writing history. This writing focuses on primary sources in the form of documents or pesantren books, interviews, photos and support for previous research. This research concluded that Pesantren LDII Millenium Alfiena is an Islamic educational institution pioneered in 1996 by K.H. Seger Afandi Al-Khoir. The condition of pesantren in 1998 has given rise to the public's trust and the government to permit the establishment. So that pesantren LDII Millennium Alfiena and LDII in Lengkong can develop and gain social legitimacy with good praise. Social empowerment and cooperation with the government such as giving space to the community to sell in pesantren, village clean service work, normalization of residents' rivers, holding Forpimcam to establish friendship between the government and pesantren, planting trees with the Regent, and implementing the PPKM program as an implementation of government programs.

Abstract

Di antara banyak jenis shalawat, terdapat shalawat yang dikenal dengan nama shalawat Lam Yahtalim. Shalawat ini dapat kita temukan di sebuah kitab yang ditulis oleh Syekh Muhammad Nawawi Al-Bantani yang berjudul Marāqi al-'Ubūdiyah Sharh Alā Bidāyat al-Hidāyah Li al-Imām Al-Ghazali, sebuah kitab yang menjadi atau penjelas dari kitab Bidāyatul Hidāyah karya Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali. Tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan sejarah (historical approach) dan metode kajian pustaka (literature review), dan metode penelitiannya berupa deskriptif dan juga naratif. Tulisan ini menjelaskan profil singkat dari Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani yang merupakan tokoh penting munculnya shalawat Lam Yahtalim. Penelitian menghasilkan kesimpulan tentang dasar jejak historis penulisan syair yang kemudian menjadi bacaan shalawat Lam Yahtalim. Selain itu juga menjelaskan nilai religius dalam shalawat tersebut yang berisi tentang keistimewaan-keistimewaan (kekhususan) yang dimiliki oleh Nabi Muhammad Saw. yang terkandung di dalam setiap bait demi bait. Selain itu juga menjelaskan tentang alasan dari mengapa para ulama menjadikan dan menganjurkan bacaan shalawat Lam Yahtalim tersebut sebagai bacaan untuk menghindarkan seorang Muslim dari bahaya kebakaran api, pencurian, dan bencana atau musibah yang lainnya.

Abstract

Hadhramaut Yaman has a tradition of intellectualism that attract students in Indonesia. More and more students plan to deepen their religious knowledge at three pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) in Tarim, Hadhramaut, namely Darul Musthofa, Rubath Tarim, and al-Ahgaff University. This research discusses the historical study of Hadhramaut and traces of intellectualism between Hadhramaut Ulama (scholars) with Indonesian Ulama from the Kitab Kuning (yellow book) commonly studied in pesantren. In addition, it will analyse the role of Tarim Hadhramaut alumni in developing the da'wah movement in Indonesia. This research uses literature studies through a historical approach by collecting previous research through books, articles, online news, and library studies, field observations will also be conducted. This study shows that the genealogy trace between Walisongo and the Alawiyyin in Hadhramaut. In addition, the network of Hadhramaut Ulama with Nusantara has an intellectual impact, such as the book Safinatun najah by Sheikh Salim bin Sumair received appreciation by giving explanations and commentary by Nusantara Ulama. The Habib in Tarim still has a strong da'wah influence in Indonesia, especially after the first 30 students of Darul Musthofa became alumni and established ta'lim assembly or pesantren. Hadhramaut pesantren network is connected through santri (student) who studied at Darul Musthofa, Rubath Tarim, and al-Ahgaff University. The three institutions show an inclusive character suitable for application in Indonesian pesantren.

Abstract

The discourse of feminism in the perspective of the pesantren kiai invites attention to be studied. Feminism is a movement that arises due to the arbitrary treatment of women who further demands equal rights and proper behavior between men and women. It’s just that, in its practice, there is a conventional way of thinking, and civilized has placed women not worth and even under men. This kind of culture has given birth to many problems and suffering in women because women are discriminated against, even receiving a lot of unfair treatment. Therefore, the feminist movement is trying to fight for women to get an equal and fair position in this era. This paper discusses the equality of rights between women and men in the book al-Mar’a al-Sholihah by Kiai Masruhan Maghfuri, who comes from pesantren. He is a scholar of Nusantara who discusses the praiseworthy morals for the generation of Muslim women. This research is classified as library research using a qualitative approach. The study results show that the study of feminism in the book and its relevance in its role in the era of revolution 4.0. Women have the right to get a balanced job and education with men to be good women for their country and change the economic sector by becoming a career women after carrying out their obligations to take care of the household. Women are given space to actualize themselves in the community without forgetting their nature.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas dinamika suksesi di Pura Mangkunegaran, khususnya dalam pergantian kepemimpinan dari K.G.P.A.A. Mangkunegara VIII ke K.G.P.A.A. Mangkunegara IX pada periode 1987-1993. Pura Mangkunegaran memiliki sistem suksesi yang unik karena berada dalam struktur politik tradisional yang tetap bertahan di era modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis melalui tahapan heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Sumber utama diperoleh dari dokumen arsip, literatur akademik, dan sumber primer terkait Pura Mangkunegaran, Monumen Pers Nasional Surakarta, dan Perpustakaan Reksa Pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suksesi Mangkunegara IX tidak berlangsung secara sederhana, melainkan melibatkan berbagai dinamika politik dan sosial yang berakar dari sejarah panjang Pura Mangkunegaran. Konflik internal dan perbedaan pandangan di antara anggota keluarga kerajaan menjadi faktor utama yang mempengaruhi jalannya transisi kepemimpinan. Selain itu, beberapa kebijakan yang diterapkan oleh Mangkunegara IX dianggap kontroversial oleh sebagian pihak sehingga menimbulkan ketegangan dalam lingkup internal keraton. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan baru mengenai kompleksitas sistem suksesi di Pura Mangkunegaran serta bagaimana tradisi kerajaan tetap bertahan di tengah perubahan zaman. Studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi kajian sejarah, khususnya dalam memahami mekanisme suksesi dalam lingkungan politik tradisional di Indonesia. Abstract

One of the most popular wirid in Indonesia is Ratib al-Haddad. The practice is a collection of prayers arrangedby Abdullah ibn Alawi al-Haddad taken of the Qur'an and hadith. In a pandemic situation, the practicebecomes one that is recommended by some circles to be beread so that the pandemic outbreak immediately subsides.But many of the practitioners are not yet aware of its history and virtues, especially during the pandemic. Thispaper intends to study the history of the wirid from the beginning of writing and its virtues. Through the historicalapproach, the method literature review, and observation of the practice of the ratiban tradition, this paper willexplain the historical studies and benefits of practicing wirid Ratib al-Haddad, which is sourced from thedescription of the book of syarah (explanatory) of the Ulama. The wirid was compiled by al-Haddad to avoid thechaos of akidah there was that time. In addition, there are eight virtues implied in the text wirid one of whichavoids the outbreak so that no doubt if the practice is widely recommended and practiced in the current situation ofthe Covid-19 pandemic. The influence of ratib al-Haddad practice can also be seen through the congregation of theMajelis Jum'at Pagi (MJP) Al-Khoirot, who stated more peace of mind after practicing the wirid so as to increaseimmunity.

Abstract

This study discusses the character of K.H. Muhajirin Amsar and a methodological study of his work, namely the book Misbah al-Zulam. This research uses the library research method (literature study) by studying the book Misbah al-Zulam, reinforced by secondary data sourced from books, articles, and online news relevant to the theme raised. This research concluded that, first, K.H. Muhajirin Amsar is an influential contemporary scholar from Bekasi who is quite productive in producing works in the form of typical pesantren books, including 34 books from 8 Islamic religious disciplines reflecting the depth and breadth of his knowledge. Of his works, the most popular is the book Misbah al-Zulam which consists of 8 volumes which is a sharh or follow-up explanation of the book Bulugh al-Maram by Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani. Second, there are three methods of writing the book of Misbah al-Zulam: tanqil (quoting), tabyid (sorting), and tahqiq (strengthening). The tanqil method means quoting from the literature used as a reference, while the tabyid method means sorting out manuscripts more relevant to the theme. The tahqiq method is to strengthen the work written as a whole to be given reinforcement. Third, the application of the method includes linguistic explanations, asbabul wurud, discussion of fiqh and its ushul, hadith in general, discussion from the sanad side, and differences of opinion of scholars.Penelitian ini membahas tentang ketokohan K.H. Muhajirin Amsar dan telaah metodologis karyanya yaitu kitab Misbah al-Zulam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library reseacrh (studi pustaka), dengan menelaah kitab Misbah al-Zulam, diperkuat dengan data sekunder yang bersumber dari buku, artikel, dan berita online yang relevan dengan tema yang diangkat. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa, pertama, K.H. Muhajirin Amsar merupakan ulama kontemporer berpengaruh dari Bekasi yang cukup produktif dalam menghasilkan karya berupa kitab khas pesantren meliputi 34 kitab dari 8 disiplin ilmu agama Islam mencerminkan kedalaman dan keluasan ilmunya. Dari karya-karyanya yang paling populer adalah kitab Misbah al-Zulam yang terdiri dari 8 jilid yang merupakan sharh atau penjelasan lanjutan dari kitab Bulugh al-Maram karya Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani. Kedua, terdapat tiga metode penulisan kitab Misbah al-Zulam yakni tanqil (mengutip), tabyid (pemilahan) dan tahqiq (penguatan). Metode tanqil bebarti menukil dari literatur yang dipakai sebagai referensi, sedangkan metode tabyid berarti melakukan pemilahan naskah yang lebih relevan dengan tema. Adapun metode tahqiq adalah melakukan penguatan dari karya yang telah ditulis secara keseluruhan untuk diberikan penguatan. Ketiga, penerapan dalam metode tersebut meliputi penjelasan kebahasaan, asbab al-wurud, bahasan fiqh dan usul-nya, hadis secara umum, pembahasan dari sisi sanad, dan berbagai perbedaan pendapat ulama.

Abstract

Each era experiences significant changes in the field of Islamic education, necessitating the development of a well-structured curriculum grounded in strong philosophical foundations to ensure clear direction and purpose. Therefore, appropriate principles are required to develop the Islamic education curriculum. This study explains the contributions of several educational philosophical schools of thought and their implementation as a foundation for constructing an Islamic education curriculum. The study focuses on three educational philosophies: progressivism, constructivism, and humanism. The method employed is library research using a descriptive analytical approach, presented systematically and objectively. This study finds that integrating progressivism, constructivism, and humanism philosophies in developing Islamic education curricula can enrich pedagogical strategies while preserving core Islamic values. The progressivist approach promotes experiential learning and problem-solving, constructivism emphasizes knowledge construction through reflection and collaboration, while humanism nurtures learners' emotional, moral, and spiritual aspects. These philosophies create a dynamic, interactive, student-centered curriculum relevant to 21st-century needs.
