Abstract

Abstract. In contemporary Indonesian literature, trauma analysis typically employs psychoanalytic or cognitive psychology. The application of Skinner's behaviorism theory to understand the mechanism of trauma in main characters in literature is still quite controversial. However, it can offer different perspectives on how the main character can develop a strategy for coping with trauma. This study analyzes the traumatizing references made by the main character, Magi Diela Tolo, in Perempuan Yang Menangis Kepada Bulan Hitam by Dian Purnomo. The three main areas of focus for the study are factors that cause trauma, forms of trauma that arise, and the methods used by the main character to recover from the experienced trauma. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with an isi analysis technique. Data collection is conducted by examining the text and analyzing it using the concepts of reinforcement and stimulus-response from behaviorism theory, B.F. Skinner, and then analyzing the results based on the study's findings. According to the study's findings, the three main factors that contribute to Magi trauma are beliefs in Yappa Mawine customs, peer pressure, and persistent discrimination from the general public. This trauma manifests as psychological symptoms like depression and anxiety, as well as physical symptoms like physical ailments. Magi outlines three strategies for coping with this trauma: treating the person as an internal source of strength, reflecting on oneself using positive thinking, and working to improve the environment to aid in the healing process. This study contributes to the field of literary psychology by offering behaviorism as an alternative to trauma analysis in Indonesian novels. It is hoped that all of the information regarding this strengthening mechanism will give rise to fresh ideas about behavioral therapy for trauma, particularly regarding gender-based and traditional victim violence. In addition, this study adds to our understanding of how women's characters in Indonesian culture illustrate resilience in the face of societal traumaKeywords: Trauma, Behaviorism, Reinforcement, Women, Dian Purnomo's Novel

Abstract

The narration about the bond between humans and nature in literary works is an element that is quite easy to find, but unfortunately this narrative does not seem to mean anything other than to evoke and dissolve the reader in the form of familiarize.  The ecological perspective in Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's novel "The Little Prince", which tells the journey of a young prince across different planets, emphasizes the complicated relationship between humans and the environment. Between care, responsibility, and interconnectedness between all beings. The findings reveal that "The Little Prince" advocates environmental awareness that challenges materialistic attitudes and is often negligent in adulthood. By depicting the childlike wonder of the prince and the deep emotional connection with nature, the text encourages readers to adopt a more empathetic and holistic view of their environment. This perspective is particularly relevant in contemporary discussions about ecological sustainability and the moral obligation that humans have towards the planet. Through qualitative descriptive analysis, this research highlights the importance of fostering a sense of concern and appreciation for the environment, as articulated in the prince's reflection. Ultimately, the study states that "The Little Prince" serves as a reminder of the need for humans to connect with nature, advocating for a shift in perception that aligns with ecological principles and promotes a more sustainable future. Using a shallow ecology approach, this exploration not only enriches the literary interpretation of the text, but also contributes to the ongoing dialogue about human ethics and responsibility towards the environment.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the trafficking of women in the novel Amoi: The Girl Who Reaches Her Dreams by Mya Ye. This type of research is library research using qualitative descriptive methods, analysis of feminist literary criticism, and socialist feminism as supporting theories. The data in this research are words, phrases, sentences or paragraphs related to the trafficking of women in the novel Amoi: The Girl Who Reaches Dreams by Mya Ye. The results of this research show that women's trafficking occurs because of the patriarchal system and the capitalist system which exploits the bodies of Singkawang women so that they are unconsciously trapped in transnational crime (trafficking). Various forms of women trafficking that occur in Singkawang are through marriage, forced prostitution and forced labor. The basic factors that cause Singkawang women to be trapped in trafficking are poverty and low access to education. Poverty occurs because of two systems: (1) the capitalist system, a system that emphasizes profit and efficiency so that female workers are paid low wages to maintain minimum production costs and maximize profits for capital owners; (2) patriarchal system, a system that places women in the traditional role as housewives who depend on men for their economic needs. Low access to education is caused by: (1) traditional roles which are characteristic of the patriarchal system, causing women to be deemed not to need to receive education and emphasizing women's dependence on men; (2) efforts to "impoverish" women in the capitalist system so that women have difficulty developing skills and objectify women by social standards.

Abstract

This study examines trust in service towards e-government in the Inspectorate’s oversight of village fund utilisation in Buton Tengah Regency. The implementation of e-government aims to enhance transparency and accountability in financial governance. However, its effectiveness depends on the level of public trust in the system. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research analyses community and village officials' perceptions of the Inspectorate’s supervision through the Siswaskeudes application. The findings indicate that transparency, accessibility, and responsiveness play crucial roles in building public trust. Survey results show that the majority of respondents have a high level of trust in the system, particularly in its responsiveness (49.59% very trusting, 50.41% trusting), transparency (49.59% very trusting, 49.59% trusting), efficiency (58.54% very trusting, 41.46% trusting), and simplicity (39.84% very trusting, 58.54% trusting). However, challenges remain, including limited technological infrastructure, varying levels of digital literacy, and concerns regarding the Inspectorate’s independence. The study highlights that improving e-government services, addressing technical limitations, and increasing public participation in monitoring processes are essential for strengthening public trust. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers to enhance digital-based oversight mechanisms and ensure more transparent and accountable village fund management.
