Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning medium based on Augmented Reality Bangun Ruang (ARBA) and to examine its effectiveness in enhancing the mathematical literacy of elementary school students. The research is grounded in the low level of students’ mathematical literacy and the need for innovative, interactive learning media that align with the characteristics of digital-native learners. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), involving 18 fifth-grade students from a public elementary school in Jakarta, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection instruments included expert validation, practicality questionnaires, and pretest-posttest assessments. The media expert validation showed a feasibility score of 91.66%, while the subject matter expert validation scored 87.50%, both classified as highly feasible. The practicality test also indicated that students very well received the ARBA media. Data analysis using paired t-tests and Normalized Gain (N-Gain) revealed a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with an N-Gain score of 0,9032 (high category) and a gain percentage of 90,3176% (highly effective category). These results demonstrate that the ARBA media is effective in improving students’ understanding of geometric solids and their mathematical literacy skills. The 3D visualizations and interactivity offered by ARBA help reduce the abstractness of the material while increasing student engagement and interest in learning. Therefore, ARBA can be recommended as an innovative solution for literacy-oriented mathematics instruction, especially for geometry topics at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This quantitative study examined the relationship between students' learning styles and technology use in math learning. Although digital tools are increasingly integrated into schools, many still overlook students diverse learning styles and their interaction with technology. Prior research often addresses learning styles or technology acceptance separately, with few examining both together, especially in secondary education. This study used a one-time survey involving 1.029 Indonesian students from middle schools, high schools, and vocational schools. Learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) were measured using a Likert-scale questionnaire. Technology acceptance was assessed through performance expectations, attitudes, perceived usefulness, and e-learning suitability. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS. Results show that attitudes toward technology significantly affect perceived ease of use, e-learning suitability, and performance expectations. These factors influence learning preferences both directly and indirectly. The findings support the technology acceptance model and show its relevance in improving digital-based math learning across Indonesia’s secondary education context.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the literacy abilities of students based on sociomathematics norms. The research method used is a case study. The subjects of this research consist of 3 selected students categorized as high, medium, and low achievers. The research incorporates a questionnaire, a written test, and interviews to assess the students' mathematical literacy abilities and their understanding of sociomathematics norms. The analytical technique employed includes the Rasch model for the questionnaire and test data, while the interview results were analyzed through reduction analysis, data gathering, and conclusions were facilitated using the MAXQDA application. The findings of the research indicate the following: 1) Students in the high category of mathematics literacy abilities also demonstrate high sociomathematics norms, and the same trend applies to the medium and lower categories; 2) The indicators of students' mathematics literacy abilities predominantly fall within levels 1, 2, and 4; 3) The indicators of sociomathematics norms among students primarily encompass mathematics experience, mathematics differences, and the effectiveness of mathematics. Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika secara virtual telah mengubah bagaimana siswa merespons situasi belajar dan tidak jarang meningkatkan kecemasan siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan secara deskriptif bagaimana kecemasan yang terjadi pada siswa pada saat mempelajari program linear dalam pembelajaran matematika secara virtual. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan survey secara online agar dapat menjangkau seluruh subjek penelitian. Analisis data penelitian dideskripsikan secara deskriptif untuk mengilustrasikan kecemasan yang terjadi pada siswa pada kelas virtual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecemasaan siswa pada saat mempelajari materi program linear meningkat pada aspek penilaian dimana kebayakan siswa meminta untuk diajarkan ulang materi yang sudah dipelajari. Kontribusi penelitian ini berdampak pada bagaimana belajar matematika yang efektif dan baik sehingga kecemasan yang terjadi dapat meningkatkan pemahaman matematis siswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis publikasi tentang kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika untuk memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan literatur yang relevan. Penelitian yang terkait analisis bibliometrik belum banyak dilakukan pada kajian berpikir kreatif matematika. Sebanyak 200 artikel tentang kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika yang diterbitkan di dalam sumber data google scholar antara tahun 1957 sampai 2020 diambil dan dianalisis melalui pendekatan analisis bibliometrik. Analisis bibliografi berisi dari sumber, penulis, dan akurasi yang berasal dari kata kunci untuk dianalisis penulis dan divisualisasikan melalui perangkat lunak VOS Viewer. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika telah sering dipelajari dengan kreativitas, berpikir, berpikir matematika, masalah matematika, proses, anak, kemampuan, ide, pengembangan, penalaran, kelas, orang. Dalam penelitian kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika lebih banyak kemungkinan di luar database Google Scholar seperti database Scopus, Crossref, dan lainnya. The state-of-art in mathematical creativity telah menjadi jurnal teratas. This study aims to analyze publications on mathematical creative thinking skills to contribute to the development of relevant literature. Research related to bibliometric analysis has not been done much in the study of mathematical creative thinking. A total of 200 articles on mathematical creative thinking skills published in Google Scholar data sources between 1957 and 2020 were taken and analyzed through a bibliometric analysis approach. The bibliographic analysis contains the source, author, and accuracy derived from keywords to be analyzed by the author and visualized through the VOS Viewer software. Based on research results, mathematical creative thinking skills have often been studied with creativity, thinking, mathematical thinking, mathematical problems, processes, children, abilities, ideas, development, reasoning, classes, people. In research, there are more possibilities for mathematical creative thinking skills outside the Google Scholar database such as the Scopus database, Crossref, and others. The state-of-art in mathematical creativity has become a top journal.

Abstract

Mathematical resilience is the most important part of mathematics so that students have the confidence to work on the mathematical problems they face. With this, students will be able to reflect and discuss the results of their mathematics learning so that they achieve success. This research was conducted using a systematic literature review method with the aim of determining trends and author distribution that link mathematical resilience with creative thinking. Research is limited to the last ten and was carried out with the help of Publish Or Perish (PoP) which is sourced from Google Scholar. The search show that there are 500 article metadata which are then stored in CSV type which are analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Next, the data is saved again in RIS form and analyzed with the help of VOS Viewer to see current research trends. The research results show that: 1) the trend of research development related to mathematical resilience over the last 10 years regarding mathematical resilience is still rarely linked to STEM, technology and science topics; 2) the distribution of resilience research is still dominated by middle school, high school, and collage students; 3) the research methods used are still mostly case studies, surveys and systematic literature reviews; 4) the largest sample in resilience research is 631 collage student, 384 high school students, and 99 teacher in survey research.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Math Playground, an educational game in improving students' number sense abilities by considering the aspect of sociomathematical norms. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample was 60 students in grade IV of SDN Kramat Jati 24 which were divided into two classes: one class as an experimental group using the educational game Math Playground, and one class as a control group that did not use the game. Data were collected through number sense tests before and after the intervention, as well as questionnaires on sociomathematical norms. Data analysis was carried out using the N-Gain test, hypothesis test with Independent Sample t Test, and two-track Anova test. The results of the N-Gain test in the experimental class showed an average N-Gain value (%) of 68.3947, while the average N-Gain value (%) in the control class was 42.0701. The results of the t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the two-track Anova test showed a significance value in the Sociomathematical Norms section of Sig. 0.000 < 0.05, and a significance value in the Class * Sociomathematical Norms section showed a result of Sig. 0.191 > 0.05.

Abstract

In the longstanding debate over the relationship between religion and ecology, there are two major camps. One side argues that religion contributes to ecological destruction, while the other side argues that religion is a force for saving the environment. Yet both sides tend to view religion as a fixed set of beliefs or practices. This article argues that the relationship between religion and ecology is contested and changing. It provides evidence from an empirical study of how social movements use lived religion, meaning everyday practices instead of doctrines or expert definitions. The study used framework synthesis to select and analyze 244 qualitative studies on Indonesian environmental social movements active between 1990 and 2022, resulting in data about 208 movements spread across 38 provinces. 167 of these movements involved lived religion in some way, leading to four findings about religion and ecology: 1) structural factors influencing social movements to include religion in their ecological responses; 2) dynamic relationship between religion and ecology both within each religious community and throughout history; 3) usefulness of lived religion to show how Indonesian religions and traditions provide resources for environmental movements; and 4) extensive creative responses used by social movements to address environmental crises.

Abstract

The Jigsaw learning model focuses on student activities in learning in general and also has an influence on students' mathematical abilities, but there are also some that do not have a significant influence. This research attempts to answer how much influence the Jigsaw model has based on the desired categorical variables. Therefore, meta-analysis research is needed to provide comprehensive and in-depth conclusions about the application of the Jigsaw model to students' mathematical abilities. Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) is used to evaluate a property's value based on comparisons to similar properties in the same area. Data was obtained from Publish or Perish (PoP) with a total of 500 articles from 2010 to 2023 with the Google Scholar database. The number of journals that meet the requirements and will be analyzed is 30 sample articles with a total of 1252 students. The moderator variables in this study consider country, education level, sample size and publication source. Based on research findings, the Jigsaw model has a significant influence on numeracy skills (P-value 0.05), with an effect size of 1.146 which is classified as very high based on fixed effects and a standard error of 0.045. The research results show that the Jigsaw model is still relevant for improving students' mathematical abilities, especially at the elementary school level. This meta-analysis study reveals that there is no difference in the results of implementing the Jigsaw model on students' mathematical abilities in all country categories.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan representasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari aspek sociomathematical norms. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 115 siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 105 Jakarta. Penelitian dimulai dengan memberikan angket untuk mengetahui tingkat sociomathematical norms yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Setelah mengetahui tingkat sociomathematical norms yang dimiliki siswa, penelitian dilanjutkan dengan melakukan purposive sampling berdasarkan tingkat sociomathematical norms kategori rendah, sedang dan tinggi. Purposive sampling pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memilih 2 siswa pada setiap tingkat sociomathematical norms untuk melakukan tes kemampuan representasi matematis. Hasil penelitian dari 115 siswa dari aspek sociomathematical norms adalah terdapat 5 siswa memiliki sociomathematical norms rendah, 75 siswa memiliki sociomathematical norms sedang dan 35 siswa memiliki sociomathematical norms tinggi. Sedangkan hasil analisis tes kemampuan representasi menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan sociomathematical norms tinggi mampu memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan representasi matematis, siswa dengan sociomathematical norms sedang mampu memenuhi dua indikator kemampuan representasi matematis dan siswa dengan sociomathematical norms rendah mampu memenuhi satu indikator kemampuan representasi matematis
