Abstract

This study aims to propose an educational game for newborns around 4 months old who do not yet know how to distinguish objects that should not be put in their mouths. This seems very normal when it occurs during this stage of life, but it should be encouraged with educational tools — because eating objects that are not food can cause choking or suffocation. AR technology provides an interactive and engaging learning environment by overlaying digital information on the physical environment. The game also uses Computer Vision technology such as Face Detection and Recognition to control user interaction based on body movements. By combining computer vision, the game provides a new and dynamic way to increase user engagement, introducing new opportunities for the development of interactive educational games for young children

Abstract

Object detection of vehicle license plates plays a role in the efficiency of vehicle data collection systems. There are many factors that make the accuracy and speed of detection on vehicle license plates less than optimal, causing errors in the detection process. The factors that affect the accuracy of object detection of vehicle license plates include clarity, lighting, shadows, color, font type, weather, and others. Based on the advantages of the Fuzzy Logic approach in handling various vague factors and uncertain data, it is hoped that this method can help the detection process to be more accurate and faster. This research aims to develop a method for detecting vehicle license plate objects using the Fuzzy Logic approach so that it can be applied in diverse environments to produce data with consistent accuracy. This research involves the development of software integrated with computers and cameras for vehicle license plate recognition, and also takes some data sources and code from libraries already available in the programming language used. The results of the tests conducted, detection using this Fuzzy Logic approach has an accuracy rate of up to 93.33% and the accuracy of reading the text stored in the database reaches 63.66%.

Abstract

Mosquito-transmitted diseases like Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever and Filariasis pose serious health threats throughout tropical regions, particularly in Indonesia. Quick and accurate identification of mosquito larvae plays a crucial role in disease prevention, especially for Aedes albopictus and Culex quinquefasciatus species that act as main disease carriers. Manual identification methods using microscopes or visual guides often struggle with time constraints, accuracy issues, and dependence on trained specialists. Our research focuses on improving the classification of Aedes albopictus and Culex quinquefasciatus mosquito larvae using Vision Transformer (ViT) technology, a deep learning method that has shown strong results in image recognition tasks. We applied the Vision Transformer model to classify mosquito larvae from microscopic field images. The study also tested how different factors impact model performance, such as image clarity, lighting conditions, and image resolution. Our findings show that using Vision Transformer in classification systems produced excellent results, achieving 98.00% accuracy in recall, precision, and F1-score measurements. The research reveals that Vision Transformer methods deliver better accuracy than traditional approaches like Convolutional Neural Networks and can be adapted into working systems for technology and healthcare sectors.

Abstract

The expanding adoption of cloud services, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), has intensified challenges in protecting encrypted data traffic within network security frameworks. SSL/TLS protocols, widely utilized for data encryption, have become exploitation vectors for cyber adversaries as conventional security solutions lack the capability to scrutinize encrypted traffic effectively. The research addresses such security gaps by implementing Full SSL Inspection through Fortigate Virtual Appliance deployment within AWS cloud environments. The study examines cloud-based network architecture integrated with Fortigate systems, employing methodologies that encompass virtual appliance installation, SSL/TLS inspection feature configuration, and assessment of system effectiveness alongside performance impact evaluation. Research instruments include simulated cyber-attack scenarios targeting encrypted traffic patterns. Findings demonstrate that Full SSL Inspection significantly enhances threat detection capabilities within network traffic, albeit with measurable increases in system latency and computational overhead. The implementation of Fortigate Virtual Appliance proves effective in strengthening AWS data security postures. Research outcomes emphasize the necessity for configuration optimization to maintain security-performance equilibrium, positioning the solution as viable for organizations prioritizing data protection strategies

Abstract

Tesseract OCR ranks among the most widely adopted open-source tools for text extraction. Nevertheless, processing documents with degraded image quality—including blurry e-KTPs, low-contrast specimens, or those affected by uneven lighting—presents substantial challenges. We conducted experimental research to generate empirical data supporting the development of text detection systems for e-KTPs operating under non-ideal conditions. Our methodology involved testing 10 e-KTP images, each containing 15 text attributes, yielding 150 evaluated data points. Image preprocessing proceeded sequentially through grayscale conversion, denoising, contrast enhancement (CLAHE), and thresholding to improve image clarity prior to Tesseract OCR processing. We evaluated accuracy using confusion matrix analysis, emphasizing True Positive (TP), False Positive (FP), and False Negative (FN) metrics. Results demonstrate that preprocessing stages substantially improved text readability. Baseline OCR accuracy of 39.55% increased incrementally: +22.68% following grayscale conversion, +47.70% after denoising, +60.99% post-CLAHE application, and +19.62% after thresholding, culminating in 64.97% accuracy upon completing all preprocessing stages. Average TP values rose from 4 to 8 out of 15 attributes per image, while precision remained stable at 100% (FP = 0). Despite variable CLAHE performance across samples, preprocessing stages proved essential for OCR systems operating under degraded image conditions. Our work introduces a novel preprocessing pipeline tailored specifically to Indonesian e-KTP characteristics, providing quantitative benchmarks and systematic analysis that can inform the development of more adaptive digitalization and verification systems for population documents under real-world field conditions

Abstract

The disparity in the distribution of Temporary Disposal Sites (TPS) within Jonggol and Sukamakmur Districts of Bogor Regency results in inefficiencies in waste collection services, increases travel times, and creates an unequal operational burden on collection fleets. There is no mobile-based digital platform for residents to report TPS conditions in real-time, which further delays responses to waste management. The lack of interactive digital map visualization makes it hard for local sanitation managers to make informed decisions about space. A mobile waste management information system was created using Flutter and Firebase, with the K-Means algorithm used to cluster TPS locations based on their spatial coordinates. The clustering results are presented as an interactive digital map that is integrated with the Google Maps API; this application allows residents to input TPS condition reports, upload visual evidence, and receive notifications about the status in real-time. This project is an extension of our previous web-based work done during the practical internship (KKP) phase but has a larger scope due to a more advanced spatial approach integrated into mobile devices. The system will optimize the distribution efficiency of waste collection services while assisting spatial decision-making processes as well as motivating active participation from residents in maintaining their environment particularly within Jonggol and Sukamakmur Districts under Bogor Regency’s smart city program initiatives.

Abstract

Deaf people use sign language as their primary means of communication. Images of sign language gestures are usually low quality because visual impairments like noise and low contrast prevent an automatic recognition system from working well. This research tries to enhance the quality of images with sign language gestures using two preprocessing methods, namely Gaussian Filter and Contrast Stretching. The first one eliminates noise while keeping important details in the image, and the second increases pixel intensity distribution to make hand gestures more apparent and outlined. An experiment was done on a dataset that includes 54,049 static hand gesture images taken from videos that contain certain sign languages divided into 28 classes for hijaiyah letters. A quantitative evaluation indicated substantial enhancements in processed image quality. The preprocessing method resulted in an average PSNR of 20.13 dB, SSIM equal to 0.8875, and MSE equal to 976.39 for all samples tested confirming that this combination method improves sharpness, structural integrity, and contrast when compared with original unprocessed images significantly. This study recommends using Gaussian Filter along with Contrast Stretching as a practical option for improving the quality of sign language images which can eventually help automated recognition systems that need clear visual input to correctly classify gestures.

Abstract

Manual recording of the meeting minutes is often ineffective and has a high error rate. It makes access to needed information not fast. This research tries to solve these problems by designing and developing an end-to-end mobile application called Notulen.AI, which combines voice-to-text and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to automatically generate meeting minutes and summaries. The application was developed using the Flutter framework, with the Google Gemini API mainly used as the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) service and for NLP analysis. The research methodology consists of system design, module implementation, and testing to see performance and effectiveness. Testing on ASR modules gets good results with an average Word Error Rate (WER) of 6.75%. The NLP module also works well in extracting important information with ROUGE-1 scoring at 0.78 and F1-Score at 0.85. Effectiveness testing involving five respondents showed that this application could reduce minute-taking time by up to 70% and got a System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 85.5, which indicates high user acceptance. This research therefore proves that the integration of ASR and NLP on a mobile platform can be an efficient solution to enhance documentation accuracy in meetings.
