Abstract

This research aims to understand how identity redefinition occurs and whatcultural variables result in identity redefinition. The Indonesian governmenthas disbanded several mass organizations throughout the years. To ensure itssurvival, the group hid among the crowds. Meanwhile, the Islamic DefendersFront (FPI), which the government had disbanded in 2020, was renamed theIslamic United Front, and it maintained a milder stance toward the governmentto survive. Several research studies have examined the government’s rationalefor abolishment. However, research on how organizational actors react to theirorganizations’ dissolution is still scarce. The research examined the former IslamicDefenders Front (FPI) members’ perceptions of their organization’s dissolutionby the government in 2020. The study utilized a qualitative research design. Thedata analysis was performed inductively to ascertain the former FPI members’subjective opinions of the organizational redefinition. The findings indicatedthat former FPI members reinvented their identity after the government’sdisbandment as a means of survival by adopting more lenient, accommodating,and inclusive views toward the government and other mass groups. Also, thedisintegration of radical religious groups may catalyze a new relationship betweenradical Islamic organizations and the state.

Abstract

Keberadaan remaja yatim/piatu sebagai salah satu sumber daya manusia dalam membangun bangsa perlu mendapat perhatian dan dukungan dalam proses pengembangan optimisme mereka dalam menghadapi kehidupan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membangun optimisme remaja yatim/piatu melalui pelatihan wirausaha kerajinan tangan. Subjek dampingan berjumlah 15 orang yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria kegiatan pengabdian. Pihak yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini diantaranya Jemaah pengajian An-nisa, staf kelurahan, karang taruna dan masyarakat sekitar. Ada beberapa kegiatan yang dilakukan secara simultan dalam proses pengabdian ini. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan optimisme para remaja dalam menghadapi kehidupannya setelah diberi pelatihan wirausaha kerajinan tangan.

Abstract

Human resource development, especially for teachers, plays an important role in creating child-friendly education. Teacher resource development as a strategy to improve child-friendly education. With a focus on improving teachers' teaching quality and interpersonal skills, this study highlights the importance of training and continuous professional development. The methods used include qualitative analysis of teachers' experiences and direct observation in a child-friendly classroom context. Effective teacher resource development contributes to a more positive and inclusive learning environment for children. This article explores a range of strategies and practices that can be implemented to improve teachers' competencies in supporting safe and inclusive learning environments. With an approach that focuses on improving pedagogical skills and understanding of children's needs, professional development for teachers is expected to have a positive impact on the quality of education. The results of the two institutions show that the development process in schools is an introduction to child-friendly education, including parents to take part in running the program. In addition, the supporting factors and obstacles that exist in the institution are the understanding of educators and education personnel in implementing child-friendly programs, adequate facilities that must be adapted to the needs of children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the background, the contribution of the Parents Day program at SDI Surya Buana to student creativity, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. This program is motivated by the need to strengthen parental involvement in children's education and create a more interactive and collaborative learning environment. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, through interviews with teachers, parents and students, as well as direct observation. The results showed that Parents Day made a significant contribution in enhancing students' creativity through activities that emphasize the exploration of ideas, critical thinking, and collaboration between parents and students. School support, active participation of parents, and careful planning are the main supporting factors, although there are challenges related to parents' busy schedules that sometimes hinder their attendance. Overall, the program succeeded in strengthening students' creativity and strengthening the relationship between parents, students, and teachers in supporting students' holistic development and social skills.

Abstract

Improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning is becoming increasingly important amid the challenges of globalization and digitalization, especially when spiritual values often receive less attention in modern education. This article aims to examine the concept of Islamic Education learning in the Qur'anic perspective, focusing on the dimensions and principles of learning that are relevant for the contemporary era. This research uses a literature study approach with content analysis of Qur'anic verses related to education, as well as literature review of academic journals and book literature. Data were collected through literature review and analyzed descriptively-qualitatively to identify a comprehensive conceptual framework. The results showed that the Qur'an offers a holistic educational framework that includes cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions, as well as principles such as exemplarity, relevance, justice, patience, and development of individual potential. The integration of Qur'anic values into innovative learning strategies, such as project-based methods and the utilization of digital media has the potential to create relevant, effective, and meaningful learning experiences for learners.

Abstract

Education is an effort to change an individual's mindset and behavior to mature a person through learning activities aimed at exploring and developing a person's abilities, both intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. One of the goals of national education is to build character. Honesty is one of the crucial and important aspects of character education. This study aims to determine the influence of emotional and spiritual quotient on students' honest behavior. This research was conducted at MTs Wahid Hasyim 01 Dau in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. This research uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The data collection method in this study uses a questionnaire. The results of this study show: 1). The majority of students' emotional quotient is at the moderate category level, with 71 students or 39.7% having an average score of 75.55. 2). Most of the students' spiritual quotient is at a moderate level, with 69 students or 38.5% having an average score of 75.41. Most of the students' honest behavior falls into the moderate category, with 71 students or 39.7% having an average score of 77.51. 4). There is a simultaneous influence of emotional and spiritual intelligence on honest behavior based on an F-value of 106.213, which is greater than the F-table value of 3.05 with a significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam menanamkan akhlak terhadap diri sendiri pada peserta didik tunagrahita di SLB Negeri 2 Lombok Timur, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya, dan menganalisis dampaknya terhadap kemandirian peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, melalui teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian meliputi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, kepala sekolah, waka kesiswaan, serta wali murid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menerapkan tiga strategi utama, yaitu keteladanan, pembiasaan, dan penguatan positif. Ketiga strategi tersebut disesuaikan dengan karakteristik individual peserta didik tunagrahita dan diterapkan secara konsisten dalam kegiatan sehari-hari. Faktor pendukung meliputi komitmen guru, budaya sekolah religius, dan keterlibatan sebagian orang tua, sedangkan hambatan mencakup keterbatasan kognitif siswa, rendahnya konsentrasi dan motivasi, kurangnya sarana prasarana, serta ketidakkonsistenan lingkungan keluarga. Strategi yang diterapkan guru memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemandirian peserta didik pada aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa strategi yang konkret, terstruktur, dan integratif sangat efektif dalam menanamkan akhlak diri sendiri pada peserta didik tunagrahita, sehingga mereka mampu berkembang menjadi individu yang lebih mandiri dan berkarakter. Abstract

Mental health study has become an intriguing and vital carried out by various experts according to their scientific discipline. This study aims to test the role of optimism as a mediator for the relationship of resilience with students’ mental health. The subjects were 320 students in four state Islamic colleges in East Java, Indonesia. Data obtained through the mental health scale, resilience scale, and optimism scale. Data were analyzed using regression analysis techniques. The analysis shows that the resilience has direct effects of 1.398 (p bigger than 0.01) and indirect effects of 0.312 (p bigger than 0.01) through optimism on students’ mental health. The implication of this result is the importance of resilience and optimism aspects to be considered in developing students’ mental health. Resilience will be more effective if the individual has a high level of optimism. Thus, to develop students’ mental health, these two abilities needed to be accelerated.
