Abstract

Work accidents are incidents related to work and the company. Work accidents occur due to uncontrolled events caused by several factors. According to data from the International Labor Organization (ILO), almost every day people die due to work accidents and work-related diseases at a rate of 2,78 million every year. The preliminary study that has been carried out shows that work accidents occurred in the weaving production section of PT X. The research aims to identify hazards using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. This research uses descriptive research using observational descriptive methods. The sampling technique in this research was purposive, with as many as 4 respondents. This research instrument uses an interview guide and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) table which is analyzed using univariate analysis. The results of this research show that several stages of work in the weaving section have dangers such as being pinched, hammered, cut, hit by a beam, falling or slipping, and electrical short circuits which cause minor injuries, cuts leg fractures, bruises, aches, headaches and fires, machine

Abstract

Land cover change in tourist areas is often an important issue related to the impact of human activities on the environment. This study aims to analyze land cover changes in the Aik Berik Village area, Central Lombok Regency, by utilizing remote sensing technology and Geographic Information System (GIS). Multitemporal satellite image data is used to identify types of land cover, such as forests, agricultural land, built land, and open land, over a period of time. Spatial analysis is carried out to determine the pattern of change and the factors that affect it. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant change in land conversion, with the conversion of forest areas into plantations, rice fields, and built-up land. Despite this, most of the forest area has been preserved thanks to natural regeneration factors and community-based management. In addition, some plantation areas have changed their function to rice fields and built land, while savanna areas are relatively stable. These changes have the potential to affect the quality of ecosystems and the hydrological cycle of the region. The success of Aik Berik Village in maintaining forests and springs that are vital to the community shows the importance of sustainable and community-based land management.

Abstract

Agricultural commodities remain the primary source of exports for both developing and developed countries. However, inequity in competitiveness has emerged as a key concern as a result of discrepancies in economies of scale, efficiency, and government protection. The purpose of this study is to assess the competitiveness of main agricultural commodities in a number of developing countries. A semi-systematic review of the literature was employed as an analytical technique. The study's data was gathered from earlier research. The findings suggest that food crop commodities in poor nations have a low level of competitiveness. This is owing to the fact that the agricultural labor force in developing countries is largely comprised of unskilled employees, particularly women who are underpaid. In developing countries, four factors may have an impact on the competitiveness of food crop agricultural commodities. Availability of particular plant resources, technology, external and domestic demand, and domestic commodity and export pricing are just a few of them.

Abstract

Abstract

Aik Bukak Village, North Batukliang District, Central Lombok is an agricultural area with the majority of its people making a living as farmers, apart from managing their yards by growing vegetables and fruit. Several types of fruit are found in quite large quantities and are available almost all year round, whether they come from the garden or not, for example bananas, watermelon and durian. At certain times fruit is available in large quantities, and accompanied by large amounts of waste which is often not utilized, other than as raw material for making organic fertilizer. Basically, this type of waste can be processed into food or snacks, which apart from being useful as an alternative food ingredient, as an effort to diversify food, is also an alternative to increase household income. The aim of this activity is to provide outreach and training in making food products based on local fruit waste in the Aik Bukak Village community. The method used is to conduct lectures, discussions and demonstrations of fruit waste processing by involving the community. From the results of the activity, it can be concluded that the community has additional knowledge regarding the use of fruit waste as food, in the form of banana peel chips, candied watermelon peels, and jackfruit seed cakes. Apart from reducing the potential for environmental pollution, people also have alternative businesses to increase household income.
