Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui informasi terkait dengan pelaksanaan peran guru sebagai motivator di SMKN 2 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI di SMKN 2 Padang dengan jumlah 563 siswa dan sampel berjumlah 96 siswa yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Stratified Proportional Random Sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa kuesioner model Skala Likert yang terdiri dari 40 item dengan alternatif jawaban Sangat Setuju (SS), Setuju (S), Kurang Setuju (KS), Tidak Setuju (TS), Sangat Tidak Setuju (STS). Sebelum digunakan, kuesioner tersebut diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya terlebih dahulu. Uji coba dilakukan kepada 20 siswa kelas XI diluar sampel penelitian. Uji coba validitas dan reliabilitas menggunakan program IBM SPSS 24.0 for windows. Uji validitas penelitian ini menggunakan product moment dengan taraf signifikan 5% (0,444) dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha. Data yang terkumpul diolah dengan mencari skor rata-rata (mean) dan tingkat capaian rata-rata (TCR). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan pelaksanaan peran guru sebagai motivator pada komponen: 1) Metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,37, 2) Memberikan penghargaan sebagai dorongan berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,35, 3) Memberikan hukuman/sanksi berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,18, dan 4) Menggunakan media pembelajaran yang bervariasi berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,23. Secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan peran guru sebagai motivator berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,30.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui upaya pengelolaan program tahfidz yang efektif, faktor penghambat, faktor pendukung dan solusi yang yang diharapkan untuk mengatasi hambatan-hambatan dalam pelaksanaan dan hasil yang diinginkan dari pengelolaan program tahfidz yang efektif di Yayasan Waqaf Darul Hufadz Padang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah ketua yayasan, kepala tahfidz, admin, guru dan siswa Yayasan Waqaf Darul Hufadz Padang. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengelolaan program tahfidz yang efektif dapat membantu mencapai tujuan dengan efektif dan efisien melalui perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi yang dilakukan dengan baik dan peuh pertimbangan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi terkait dengan pemeliharaan sarana pembelajaran yang dilihat pada indikator pemeliharaan rutin, pemeliharaan berkala, pemeliharaan insidental, dan pemeliharaan preventif di SMK Swasta Kecamatan Guguak Panjang. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskkriptif. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 162 guru. Menghitung besar penentu sampel dengan rumus slovin dengan tingkat kesalahan 10% melalui teknik Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling yang memperoleh total sampel sebanyak 67 guru. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket dengan menggunakan skala Likert yang mempunyai lima alternatif jawaban. Uji coba validitas dan reliabilitas dibantu oleh program SPSS 29.0 for winndows. Angket dinyatakan valid pada tingkat kesalahan 10% dengan rho hitung 0,776 dan reliabel dengan r hitung 0,957 besar dari rho tabel 0,60 . Teknik analisis dengan menggunakan mean. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pemeliharaan sarana pembelajaran yang dilihat dari aspek; 1) pemeliharaan rutin terdapat pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,49; 2) pemeliharaan berkala terdapat pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 3,96; 3) pemeliharaan insidental terdapat pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,41; dan 4) pemeliharaan preventif terdapat pada kategori baik dengan skor baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,42. Secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa persepsi guru tentang pemeliharaan sarana pembelajaran berada pada kategori baik dengan capaian hasil 4,43

Abstract

Kepemimpinan dan komitmen kerja guru merupakan dua variabel penting yang perlu diteliti dalam ilmu administrasi pendidikan. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi komitmen kerja guru, salah satunya adalah kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data dan informasi tentang komitmen kerja guru, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, serta hubungan antara keduanya di SMK Negeri se-Kabupaten Solok Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional yang mencoba melihat hubungan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan komitmen kerja guru. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik Stratified Proportional Random Sampling. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa komitmen kerja guru berada pada kategori tinggi, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berada pada kategori baik, dan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kedua variabel tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan komitmen kerja guru di SMK Negeri se-Kabupaten Solok Selatan.

Abstract

The implementation of SBM aims to empower educational institutions to manage independently, increase cooperation with related parties, and increase school accountability and transparency. This study explores the impact of SBM implementation on educational practice through a strategic leadership approach. Using library research methods, this research analyzes the contribution of SBM in improving the effectiveness of school management, focusing on the key role of school principals in leading initiatives and managing resources optimally. The research results show that effective leadership from the school principal plays a central role in the successful implementation of SBM, through active involvement in achieving the set goals and building commitment with relevant stakeholders.

Abstract

This article presents the findings of a field study conducted at Elementary School 25 Kinali, focusing on human resource management strategies to enhance teacher competence. The study addresses challenges related to insufficient teaching competencies among teachers, which have resulted in disruptive student behavior, such as talking during lessons, disturbing peers, and frequently leaving the classroom without permission. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through processes of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with the validity of findings ensured through data triangulation. The results indicate that human resource management plays a critical role in improving teacher competence through key activities, including planning, organizing, and conducting teacher training programs.

Abstract

This study aims to explore strategies for enhancing teacher motivation and job satisfaction at Senior High School (SHS) 1 Timpeh, Dharmasraya Regency, as a means to improve the overall quality of education. Employing a mixed-method approach, the study integrates qualitative insights from literature analysis with quantitative data from a survey. The survey involved a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to all teachers at SHS 1 Timpeh, focusing on eight key factors influencing motivation and satisfaction: teaching quality, management support, work environment, professional development, recognition, interpersonal relationships, workload, and opportunities for innovation. Data analysis revealed that teaching quality (average score 4.2, 85% agreement), interpersonal relationships (4.1, 82%), and a positive work environment (4.0, 80%) were the most influential factors, in fostering motivation and satisfaction. However, workload (2.7, 40%) and limited access to professional development (3.5, 65%) were identified as significant challenges. Based on these findings, the study recommends implementing continuous training programs, establishing a fair reward system, and improving communication between management and teachers. These strategies aim to create a more supportive and productive work culture, reducing stress and enhancing motivation among educators. Ultimately, this study provides actionable insights for stakeholders to prioritize teacher welfare and achieve better educational outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the recruitment and selection processes for honorarium teachers at Senior High School (SHS) Sungai Aur, West Pasaman Regency, with a focus on their alignment with established theories and best practices. Utilizing a qualitative approach, data were collected through direct observations and semi-structured interviews with principals, vice principals, teaching staff, and school committee members. The findings reveal that the current recruitment system does not fully comply with theoretical frameworks. Specific gaps were identified in three critical areas: the socialization of opportunities, the selection process, and the announcement of results. Interviews emphasized the pivotal role of principals and committees in fostering transparent and collaborative communication to align recruitment decisions with institutional goals. However, challenges such as ineffective communication strategies, inconsistencies in candidate evaluations, and a lack of transparency in announcements were found to hinder the effectiveness of the recruitment process. The results highlight the need for a more structured and theory-driven approach to improve the selection and development of competent educators. These findings provide valuable insights into enhancing recruitment frameworks, which are essential for achieving institutional and national educational objectives.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of observations of researchers to several State SMKs in Padang City which indicate the low performance of school administration personnel in State SMKs in Padang City. Therefore, the problem to be studied in this study is “how is the performance of School Administration Personnel (TAS) in State Vocational Schools in Padang City?”. Thus the purpose of this study is to obtain information and describe the performance of school administration personnel at SMK Negeri Kota Padang. The type of research used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were school administration personnel whose number was 153 TAS and the sample size was 63 TAS. The sample was drawn using the Slovin formula and taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. . The results of this study indicate that the performance of TAS in SMK Negeri Padang City is in the high category based on 4 indicators: 1) work quantity with an average score of 4.44, 2) work quality with an average score of 4.42, 3) punctuality with an average score of 4.40, 4) responsibility with an average score of 4.40. Overall, the performance of TAS in SMK Negeri Kota Padang is in the high category with an average score of 4.42.

Abstract

Based on the phenomenon that emerged in educational institutions indicating that teacher work discipline is still low. This is thought to be influenced by the leadership of the principal. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between principal leadership and teacher work discipline. This type of research is correlational research. Populasi are all teachers in SDN se Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan with number 471. A large sampel of 44 people who are determinand by cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire likert scale models that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using product moment correlation technique. The results of the data analysis showed that: leadership in SDN se Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan are in good categories (3,4) and work discipline teacher in SDN se Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan in good category (3,5). There is a significant relationship between leadership at work discipline teacher at SDN se Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan with correlation coefficients at the level of 95% with t count = 2,385 > t table = 1,680. From the result it can be concluded that leadership is one of the factors that influence teacher work discipline.
