Abstract

This community service aimed to improve the effectiveness of public information services in Curahmalang Village through the development and implementation of a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based application. The program focused on mapping village data, creating a digital database of households, and producing printed maps to support administrative transparency and public information. Activities included socialization, training on system use for village officials, and publication on the official Unwaha website to reach a broader audience. As a result, the village gained an integrated digital map and a more efficient information service mechanism, which also encouraged public participation in data updating and supported the vision of a smart village.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of religious activities, analyze their contribution to strengthening the Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in fostering these values at Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School. The subjects of this study consisted of 8 students and 3 teachers (ustadz/ustadzah) who were directly involved in the boarding school’s religious activities. Purposive sampling was used to select participants based on criteria of active student participation in religious activities and teachers supervising these activities. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that religious activities at the boarding school are carried out in a structured manner through daily, weekly, and seasonal activities, such as congregational prayers, Quran recitation, study of classical Islamic texts, istighotsah, tahlil, manaqib, maulid celebrations, and social activities such as communal work. These activities contribute to strengthening students’ religiosity, cooperation, independence, discipline, tolerance, and responsibility, which align with the six dimensions of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Supporting factors include the exemplary role of the kyai and teachers, the boarding school’s religious culture, and an integrated educational system. In contrast, inhibiting factors include differences in students’ understanding of Pancasila values and a densely packed activity schedule.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to develop and validate interactive learning media based on Google Sites for teaching Sunnah Prayers (Sholat Sunnah) to eighth-grade students. Methodology/Approach: The development follows the systematic stages of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model, with validation limited to expert assessment by 2 media experts and 2 Islamic Religious Education material experts. The validity and feasibility of the media were tested through structured expert evaluation using a 5-point Likert scale. Findings: The validation results from media experts showed a score of 86% (Feasible category), while the assessment from material experts obtained 98% (Very Feasible category). The developed media successfully integrates multimedia elements including text, images, videos, and interactive quizzes that are easily accessible to students. Practical Implications: The learning media is declared feasible for use in PAI instruction. However, classroom implementation stages have not yet been conducted; evaluation consists of revisions based on expert feedback. Originality/Value: This digital innovation offers a specific and structured solution for teaching Sunnah Prayers to Grade VIII students, potentially improving student motivation, understanding, and learning independence in Islamic Religious Education while addressing modern educational challenges.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the improvement of students’ Qur’anic reading ability after tajwid instruction and to analyze the effect of tajwid comprehension on students’ Qur’anic reading ability. Methodology/approach: This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants consisted of 51 students from grades VII–IX at MTs Rahmat Sa’id Bongkot Peterongan Jombang. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, and Qur’anic reading practice tests. Data analysis was conducted using paired sample t-test and simple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS version 26. Findings: The results showed a significant improvement in students’ Qur’anic reading ability after tajwid instruction. The mean pre-test score increased from 70.20 to 81.67 in the post-test, with an improvement percentage of 16.34% (t = 9.258; p < 0.05). Simple linear regression analysis indicated that tajwid comprehension had a positive and significant effect on Qur’anic reading ability (β = 0.454; p = 0.016). These findings indicate that better understanding of tajwid rules contributes to better Qur’anic reading ability among students. Practical implications: Schools should implement systematic tajwid instruction accompanied by continuous evaluation and regular Qur’anic reading practice to improve students’ Qur’anic reading ability. Originality/value: Previous studies generally focused on the effectiveness of specific tajwid teaching methods. This study specifically positions tajwid comprehension as the main variable influencing Qur’anic reading ability through the measurement of both theoretical understanding and practical reading skills among Islamic junior high school students.

Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan para kelompok tani di Desa Karobelah, Kecamatan Mojoagung, Kabupaten Jombang dalam pemanfaatan limbah jagung serta mengurangi limbah jagung yang dihasilakan setelah pasca panen. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Balai Desa Karobelah dengan jumlah sekitar 10 orang, pada tanggal 14 September 2023 beserta narasumber dari Dosen Fakultas Pertanian Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah yaitu Bapak Agus Suhadi, S.P, M.P. Mitra yang terlibat dalam sosialisasi ini adalah kelompok petani di Desa Karobelah. Metode pendekatan untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi metode wawancara, diskusi, dan pengembangan. Menggunakan metode kerja sama melalui bentuk sosialisasi, peragaan, dan pendampingan secara intensif sampai dapat terbentuknya pupuk kompos untuk tanaman para petani. Hasil dari sosialisasi ini memberikan tambahan wawasan dan pengetahuan serta keterampilan para kelompok tani Desa Karobelah terkait pemanfataan limbah jagung, mengurangi limbah tongkol jagung dan membantu para petani untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian.
