Abstract

The main problem in this study is that students' understanding of science concepts is still relatively low. This study aims to analyze students' conceptual understanding before the STEM learning approach is implemented, to analyze students' conceptual understanding after the STEM learning approach is implemented, and to analyze the increase in students' knowledge before and after the STEM learning approach is implemented. This study was a pre-experimental study involving one class as the focus class using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population was 26 fifth-grade students at Tidung Elementary School. Data collection involved distributing science test sheets to measure student learning outcomes before and after using the STEM approach, along with observation sheets. The results showed that the average pretest score was 51.54, categorized as low and incomplete, while after implementing the STEM learning approach, the average posttest score was 80.39, categorized as high and complete. The N-gain test showed an average student score of 0.62, which falls into the moderate category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the STEM learning approach has improved the understanding of fifth-grade students' science concepts at Tidung Elementary School.

Abstract

The background of this study was that teachers' suboptimal use and implementation of learning strategies led to a learning environment that left students feeling bored and tired during the lesson, resulting in below-average science learning outcomes. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of implementing the Scramble learning strategy in improving science learning outcomes in fourth-grade students. The method used was an experimental one-group pretest-posttest. The sample consisted of 33 fourth-grade students at SD Inpres Antang I. Data collection techniques included observation, testing, and documentation. The results showed that the learning process using the Scramble learning strategy had an impact on students' science learning outcomes, as evidenced by the increase in pretest and posttest scores. In the experimental class studied, the average posttest was higher than the pretest. The average posttest was 83.03, while the average pretest was 37.57. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Scramble learning strategy significantly influences students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

Air lindi merupakan hasil dari timbulan sampah dengan tercampurnya sampah organik dan anorganik yang kemudian tergenang, volumenya bisa meningkat apabila IPAL tidak digunakan dengan baik. Studi ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dampak pencemaran lindi Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir (TPA) desa Jononunu terhadap kualitas air dan lingkungan perkebunan masyarakat. Proses kajian ini dilakukan melalui pengumpulan berbagai informasi (inventarisasi informasi) dari berbagai sumber (studi pustaka, dan kunjungan lapangan). Pencemaran lindi TPA Desa Jononunu dapat berdampak terhadap beberapa hal diantaranya mempengaruhi kualitas air, kesehatan masyarakat, serta lingkungan perkebunan masyarakat akibat kandungan senyawa organik yang dihasilkan dari penumpukan sampah yang tidak terpilah dengan benar antara sampah organik dan anorganik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pre-eksperimen untuk mengkaji penerapan metode pembelajaran Learning Starts With a Question (LSQ) terhadap mata pelajaran IPA di kelas V UPT SDN 40 Bangkala Maccini Baji, Kabupaten Jeneponto. Metode LSQ bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan mendorong mereka untuk bertanya dan berpikir kritis sejak awal proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode LSQ berdampak positif terhadap pemahaman dan hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPA. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, beberapa rekomendasi disampaikan kepada pihak sekolah, guru, dan peneliti. Sekolah diharapkan mendukung penerapan metode LSQ secara lebih luas dengan menyediakan pelatihan bagi guru dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Guru disarankan untuk terus mengembangkan keterampilan dalam menerapkan LSQ dengan menyesuaikan strategi pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa dan mendorong suasana belajar yang interaktif. Selain itu, penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk mengeksplorasi endidik lain yang dapat mempengaruhi efektivitas LSQ serta mengkaji penerapannya dalam mata pelajaran dan jenjang endidikan yang berbeda.
