Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of principal leadership on teacher performance in the implementation of the Field Experience Program (PPL) at SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen, Pematangsiantar City. The research employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive associative method. The population of this study consisted of all teachers at SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen, totaling 32 teachers, and all members of the population were included as research samples using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire developed based on indicators of principal leadership and teacher performance. Principal leadership was measured through indicators including directing ability, communication skills, decisiveness in decision-making, role modeling, and professional development of teachers. Meanwhile, teacher performance was assessed based on indicators such as discipline, responsibility, teaching competence, collaboration, and instructional innovation. Data analysis involved instrument validity and reliability tests, prerequisite assumption tests, and simple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 27. The results revealed that the data were normally distributed and the regression model was considered feasible. Teachers’ responses to the PPL questionnaire were predominantly in the Agree and Strongly Agree categories, with positive responses reaching 50.1%, indicating that principal leadership and teacher performance were at a fairly good level. Hypothesis testing demonstrated that principal leadership had a significant effect on teacher performance. These findings suggest that effective principal leadership contributes to improved teacher performance in the implementation of the Field Experience Program. Abstract

This study aims to improve the competitiveness of flower board businesses in North Siantar District through consumer preference analysis and the application of digital marketing. Consumer preference data is analyzed to identify the product characteristics that most influence purchasing decisions, which are then used as the basis for developing marketing strategies and product variations. A digital marketing training program is provided to partners to improve their promotional capabilities through digital media and expand their market reach. The results of the implementation show an increase in the number of orders and partner income of 40%–50% per week. In addition, the development of three product packages, namely standard, premium, and deluxe packages, as well as the application of a deluxe package promo with a free standard package, proved to be effective in increasing consumer interest. These results show that the integration of consumer preference analysis and digital marketing can strengthen the competitiveness of flower board businesses in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Education is a systematic process in helping individuals develop their potential, where the Independent Curriculum presents as an innovation that emphasizes flexibility and student-centered learning. This study aims to understand in depth how the implementation of the Independent Curriculum affects student learning motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Pematang Siantar. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive study method and in-depth interviews with ten students in grades 10 and 11 selected using a purposive sampling technique. In addition to interviews, data collection techniques also involved participant observation and documentation to explore the subjects' experiences comprehensively. The results show that the Independent Curriculum has a positive impact on student learning motivation, where students feel more enthusiastic and responsible because they have the freedom to choose activities that suit their interests. The collaborative and project-based learning environment has been shown to foster intrinsic motivation and self-confidence. In conclusion, this study provides a theoretical contribution to the development of the concept of learning motivation in the context of Indonesian education and serves as a practical reference for teachers and schools that the Independent Curriculum is effective in increasing motivation by fulfilling psychological needs for autonomy, competence, and social connectedness.

Abstract

Intensified digital competition is forcing organizations across diverse sectors, from the B2B carton box industry to Educational Management, to seek differentiation through strategic digital branding. This is particularly true for industrial firms often trapped by commoditization. However, existing literature frequently analyzes social media and e-commerce in silos, creating a research gap regarding their synergistic impact on internal management. This study aims to fill this gap by empirically validating a holistic model that links the strategic integration of these digital platforms to brand enhancement, management quality, and sustainable competitive advantage. The novelty of this research lies in demonstrating this complete causal pathway within an industrial B2B context, offering a transferable framework for other fields. Using a quantitative approach, survey data from 150 respondents in the carton box industry were analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results confirmed all five hypotheses, revealing that strategic integration is an exceptionally strong predictor of brand enhancement (β = 0.979). The findings cruciallydemonstrate that brand enhancement is the primary mediating variable; its effect on improving management quality and securing a competitive advantage is substantially stronger than other direct paths. This study concludes that the most effective mechanism for organizations, industrial companies, or institutions in educational management, to achieve market leadership in the digital era is by strategically using integrated digital tools to first cultivate a powerful and trusted brand.

Abstract

Rapid digital transformation, driven by the increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into digital products and services, has intensified competition across industries and positioned Time-to-Market (TTM) as a critical success factor for digital innovation projects. AI-oriented development requires rapid iteration, continuous data processing, and frequent model refinement, which are often difficult to support using traditional project management approaches, leading to delayed deployment and reduced adaptability. In this context, agile methodologies have emerged as a flexible and adaptive framework that aligns well with the iterative and data-driven nature of AI development. This study examines the impact of agile adoption on TTM performance in digital innovation projects, particularly those involving AI-enabled components, using a qualitative multiple-case study design based on semi-structured interviews with product managers, developers, and agile practitioners, complemented by analysis of project documentation, AI workflows, and delivery metrics. The findings show that organizations adopting agile methodologies achieve a development cycle time reduction of approximately 25% to 40% within the first two years of implementation, supported by key practices such as iterative sprint development, cross-functional collaboration between engineering and data teams, continuous feedback loops, and early testing of AI components. Overall, the study confirms that agile methodologies serve as an effective strategic mechanism for accelerating TTM in AI-driven digital innovation projects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of learning motivation and readiness to learn students in social studies subjects of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. The variables in this study are learning motivation and learning readiness as independent variables and learning outcomes as the dependent variable. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research, with a population of all students in grades VIII-4 to VIII-8 at SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar totaling 160 students and a research sample of 115 students selected using random sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and distributing questionnaires, while data analysis techniques used validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, multiple linear regression tests, t tests, f tests and coefficient of determination tests. Based on the results of data analysis, it is stated that there is a significant influence between learning motivation on the learning outcomes of students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar, seen from the value of t_count 7.95 < t_table 1,658. Then, there is a significant influence between learning readiness on student learning outcomes, this result can be seen from the t_hitung value of 8.31> t_table 1.658, and it is concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that the variables of learning motivation and learning readiness have an influence on the learning outcomes of students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. Then there is a joint or simultaneous influence between learning motivation and student learning readiness on learning outcomes, seen from the F_hitung value 7.10> F_table value 3.08. The test of the coefficient of determination R Square of the learning motivation variable is known to be 0.6561, which means that 65.61% of the learning motivation variable affects learning outcomes and for the learning readiness variable it is known to be 0.7225, which means that 72.25% of learning readiness affects student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru dalam pelaksanaan Program Pengenalan Lapangan (PPL) di SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen, Kota Pematangsiantar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif asosiatif. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh guru di SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen yang berjumlah 32 orang, dan seluruh populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel penelitian dengan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket berbasis skala Likert lima tingkat yang disusun berdasarkan indikator kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru. Variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah diukur melalui indikator kemampuan mengarahkan, komunikasi, ketegasan dalam pengambilan keputusan, keteladanan, dan pembinaan profesional guru. Sementara itu, variabel kinerja guru diukur melalui indikator kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, kemampuan mengajar, kerja sama, dan inovasi pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen, uji prasyarat analisis, serta uji regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan model regresi dinyatakan layak digunakan. Respons guru terhadap angket PPL didominasi oleh kategori Setuju dan Sangat Setuju dengan persentase respons positif sebesar 50,1%, yang menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru berada pada kategori cukup baik. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin efektif kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, maka semakin meningkat pula kinerja guru dalam pelaksanaan PPL, meskipun masih diperlukan peningkatan pada aspek pembinaan profesional dan inovasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka adalah langkah pertama dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan kehidupan kerja. Tujuan dari kebijakan kurikulum merdeka adalah untuk mendorong mahasiswa memperoleh keahlian dalam berbagai mata pelajaran sesuai dengan keahliannya. Hal ini memungkinkan para mahasiswa untuk menjadi kompetitif secara global. Kurikulum merdeka adalah kebijakan yang menawarkan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk memilih mata kuliah sesuai dengan minat dan kemampuannya. Penerapan kurikulum merdeka dapat memicu proses perkuliahan yang lebih otonom dan fleksibel di perguruan tinggi. Penyelenggaraan kurikulum mandiri berbasis kurikulum sentralisasi dan desentralisasi bertujuan untuk dapat secara optimal mendorong kemajuan sistem pendidikan tinggi yang ditandai dengan terciptanya sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan literature review. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan kurikulum merdeka memiliki dampak bagi dosen dan mahasiswa. Dosen bertanggung jawab untuk memodernisasi pembelajaran tradisional melalui metode pembelajaran inovatif berbasis teknologi. Hal ini bertujuan untuk membantu siswa memahami bahwa pendidikan dan teknologi harus mampu menciptakan sinergi dengan teknologi dan pembelajaran yang fleksibel. Kurikulum merdeka bertujuan untuk mentransformasi peserta didik menjadi pembelajar sepanjang hayat dan memenuhi kebutuhan zaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar T.A 2024/2025. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah kecerdasan emosional dan kemandirian belajar sebagai variabel bebas dan hasil belajar sebagai variabel terikat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan populasi penelitian seluruh siswa kelas VIII IPS SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar dan sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIII IPS SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar yang terdiri dari 77 siswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan Simple random sampling (rumus Slovin). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen : (1) angket kecerdasan emosional, (2) angket kemandirian belajar, dan (3) hasil belajar berupa nilai ulangan tengah semester. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : (1) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan lingkungan sekolah terhadap hasil belajar, hasil ini terlihat pada uji t dimana nilai thitung kecerdasan emosional (5,037) > nilai ttabel (1,665) yang berarti pada variabel tersebut signifikan. (2) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar, hasil ini terlihat pada uji t dimana nilai thitung dari kemandirian belajar (4,919) > nilai ttabel (1,665) yang berarti pada variabel tersebut signifikan. (3) kecerdasan emosional dan kemandirian belajar secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi hasil belajar, hasil ini dapat dilihat pada uji F dimana nilai Fhitung (41,290) > dibandingkan nilai Ftabel (2,38). Uji koefisien determinasi R Square diketahui sebesar 0,527 yang berarti 52,7% variabel kecerdasan emosional dan kemandirian belajar berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa di sekolah UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar dan selebihnya 47,3% merupakan pengaruh dari variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of electronic money use and lifestyle on the consumptive behavior of Economics Education Students, Intake 2022-2024, HKBP Nommensen University, Pematangsiantar. This study used a descriptive quantitative research method. Based on partial hypothesis testing, the results showed that electronic money had a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, as indicated by the calculated Tvalue (2.622) > Ttable (1.671), and lifestyle had no positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, as indicated by the calculated Tvalue (1.265) < Ttable (1.671). Meanwhile, simultaneous hypothesis testing revealed that electronic money and lifestyle have a positive and significant effect on consumer behavior, as indicated by the calculated Fvalue (4.154) > Ftable (3.145). The coefficient of determination test yielded an R-square value of 0.120, indicating that 12% of the variables in electronic money and lifestyle influence the consumer behavior of Economics Education students in the 2022-2024 intake of HKBP Nommensen University, Pematangsiantar. The remaining 80% is attributed to other variables not examined in this study.
