Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model, specifically the Group Project type, on students’ Social Studies learning outcomes through collaborative ability as an intervening variable among seventh-grade students of UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar in the academic year 2025/2026. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study consisted of all seventh-grade students of UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar. The samples were class VII-4 as the experimental class and class VII-3 as the control class. The research instruments included learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test) and a collaborative ability questionnaire. Data analysis techniques included normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using t-tests and regression analysis.The results showed that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model had a significant effect on students’ collaborative ability. Furthermore, there was a significant effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on students’ Social Studies learning outcomes. Collaborative ability also significantly influenced students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model has both direct and indirect effects on learning outcomes through collaborative ability.Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model of the Group Project type is effective in improving collaborative ability and Social Studies learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa kelas X di SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen dan metode pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X, dan sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas X-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes objektif pilihan ganda yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar ekonomi siswa yang diajar dengan model Project Based Learning dan siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Teacher Centered Learning. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t, diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 5,711 yang lebih besar dari ttabel sebesar 2,002 (5,711 > 2,002) dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa kelas X di SMA Swasta Kampus Nommensen T.A 2025/2026.

Abstract

This quantitative research using an ex post facto method aims to analyze the influence of classroom management and learning behavior on the social studies learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at the UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar, both partially and simultaneously. Based on the philosophy of positivism, the data were analyzed using statistical regression techniques. The study showed that both independent variables significantly influenced learning outcomes. The regression analysis yielded a coefficient of determination (R-square) of 0.760, indicating that 76% of student learning outcomes can be explained by classroom management and learning behavior, while the remaining 24% is influenced by other factors outside the study. The adjusted R-square of 0.757 indicates that the research model has strong ability to explain the dependent variable. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient (R-square) of 0.872 indicates a very strong relationship between classroom management and learning behavior and students' social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of teacher-student interaction on learning outcomes through learning motivation as an intervening variable in seventh-grade students at the UPTD of SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar in the 2025/2026 academic year. Using a quantitative approach with path analysis, data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, then processed using SPSS 26. The results showed that teacher-student interaction had a positive and significant effect on learning motivation (R-square = 0.320). Furthermore, teacher-student interaction and learning motivation simultaneously had a strong influence on learning outcomes (R-square = 0.704). Based on hypothesis testing and the Sobel test, learning motivation was found to significantly mediate the effect of teacher-student interaction on learning outcomes. In conclusion, the more effective the interaction between teachers and students, supported by high learning motivation, the more optimal the learning outcomes achieved by students. This demonstrates the importance of pedagogical and psychological aspects in improving academic achievement.
