Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode demonstrasi dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi cermin di SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya. Metode penelitian menggunakan pre-experimental design dengan bentuk one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik intact grup dengan melibatkan 22 siswa. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa 10 soal pilihan ganda dengan tiga alternatif jawaban disertai alasan terbuka. Diperoleh persentase rata-rata penurunan miskonsepsi sebesar 39,54% pada tiap siswa dan 46,59% pada tiap indikator. Hasil perhitungan harga proporsi diperoleh  = 0,48 dengan tingkat efektivitas sedang. Berdasarkan uji statistik McNemar dan uji binomial, secara keseluruhan pada setiap soal terjadi perubahan konseptual siswa yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah remediasi menggunakan metode demonstrasi. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode demonstrasi berpengaruh dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi cermin di SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan alternatif guru dalam melaksanakan remediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi cermin.   Kata Kunci : Remediasi, miskonsepsi, metode demonstrasi, efektivitas, cermin Abstract: This study aims to know the influence of implementation of demonstration as learning method to remediate student’s misconceptions about mirror in Junior High School. The research method used pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample were chosen by intact group method, involving 22 students. The tool for collecting data is 10 multiple choice questions with three alternative answers and the opened reasons. It was found that the average percentage of misconceptions reduction was 39.54% on each student and 46,59% on each indicator. The results of the calculation of the proportion obtained ΔS = 0.48 with medium effectiveness category. Based on the statistical test of McNemar and binomial test, overall there is a conceptual change significantly on each question between before and after implementation of demonstration as learning method. The implementation of demonstration as learning method was influenced to remediate student’s misconceptions about mirror in Junior High School. This study was expected to be an alternative for teachers to remediate student’s misconceptions about mirror.   Keywords: Remediation, misconceptions, demonstration learning method, effectiveness, mirror

Abstract

Absrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan  motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa, melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) pada materi wujud zat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. sebanyak 35 siswa kelas VII D SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Kakap menjadi partisipan dalam penelitian ini. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi lembar  angket motivasi , dan  lembar  tes hasil belajar. Data yang diperoleh menunjukan adanya peningkatan persentase hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 71,43% menjadi 80,00%. Hasil motivasi belajar siswa menunjukan peningkatan, yaitu pada siklus I ke siklus II kategori kuat 75,80% menjadi 81,14% kategori sangat kuat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan model pembelajaran kooperatf tipe Team Assisted Individualization dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi wujud zatKata kunci : Motivasi, Hasil Belajar, Kooperatif tipe TAI Abstract: The aims of this study is to increase motivation and learning outcomes, through the cooperative learning modelwith Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type at the material states of matter. Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The participants of this research were 35 students in VII D class on SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Kakap. The instruments are consist of quesionnaire sheets motivation and achievement test. It showed that the inerease of student learning outcomes percentage on first cycle and second cycle is 71,43% to 80,00%. The results of student motivation showing improvement, namely in the first cycle and second cycle of strong category 75,80% to 81,14% strongest category. These results indicate the type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) can improve motivation and learning outcomes of students in the material form of substance. Key Word : Motivation , Learning Outcomes , Cooperative Type TAI.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop a three tier diagnostic test using microsoft excel about dynamic fluid. The development of diagnostic test carried out identifying the characteristics of diagnostic test items and measuring the percentage of students perception of the three tier diagnostic test using microsoft excel. The Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall was used in this research. It was simplified into 7 steps, namely data collection, planning, product design, testing in a small scale, revision, testing in a large scale, and final product revision. The three-tier diagnostic test has 28 items of multiple choice questions accompanied by a choice of reasons and level of confidence. The diagnoctic test involved 32 students is small scale trials and 88 students in the large scale trials. Based on data analysis, diagnostic test developed is suitable to use based on the characteristics of having high content validity of 0.77, item validity is 24 valid questions, high reliability of 0.778, low difficulty level and readability level ≥ 6 that is 7.55 . The perception of students in this test is 83.10%. Thus, three tier diagnostic test questions that are suitable to use are 24 question out of 28 question planned. Keywords: Dynamic Fluid, Microsoft Excel, Three Tier Diagnostic Test

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah metode permainan Kokami dapat meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa dalam memahami materi gerak lurus beraturan (GLB) di kelas X SMAS Wisuda Pontianak.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Pre-Eksperimental Designdengan rancangan One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. Alat pengumpul data berupa tes pilihan ganda beralasan terbuka dengan tiga alternatif pilihan yang mempunyai tingkat reliabilitas 0,48 (KR.20).Hasil menunjukkan adanya penurunan rara–rata jumlah miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 46,7%. Remediasi dengan menggunakan permainan Kokami efektif untuk memperbaiki miskonsepsi siswa dengan rata–rata penurunan harga proporsi 0,58 ( 0,31<Δn< 0,70) tergolong sedang. Metode permainan Kokami sangat cocok digunakan untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa dikarenakan dengan adanya metode permainan Kokami, siswa menjadi sangat antusias dalam mengikuti pelajaran dan berperan lebih aktif serta kreatif dalam bekerja sama, sehingga metode ini dapat menjadi alternatif untuk diterapkan pada remediasi di sekolah.   Kata Kunci: Miskonsepsi, Remediasi, Permainan Kokami Abstract:The purpose of Pre-Experimental Research Design with One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design was used to remediate students’ misconceptionsin understanding regular straight  motion material in senior high school. Tolls of data collecting used is multiple choice test with three alternativeanswers with reliability0,48 (KR.20). This study involved 20 students in grade X of SMAS Wisuda Pontianak as the sample which had been chosen by intract group. The results of this study showed that the mean of students’ misconception had been decreased 46.7%. Remediating by using Kokami game was effective to improve students’ misconception with rate decreasement of student misconception 0.58 (0.31<Δn<0.70) classified as moderate. Kokami game was suitable to remediate students’ misconception because through that game, the students become more enthusiastic in following the learning processand more active and creative in a team work, it was concluded that this method can be an alternative to be applied to remediation in the school. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimedto describe forms and causes of misconceptions which are appeared in SD Negeri 3 Karimunting.Survey is used as research method with interview technique 9 student from IV grade in big class were selected as participant sample which is choosen by purposive sampling. Interview About Intances (IAI) technique is used to explore the light concepts particularly to find out the causes of the misconception of students using Sambas Malay language. The results showed misconceptions occurred in all concepts of light, such as the relationship of light to the sense of sight and light can be reflected (9 forms of misconception from 9 students), on the concept of light can propagate straight (3 forms of misconception from 4 students), on the concept of light can penetrate clear objects (3 forms of misconception from 3 students), misconception about refraction of light (6 forms of misconception from 9 students), and misconception about light (13 forms of misconception from 9 students). The causes of misconceptions dominated by students such as pre-conception, associative thought, humanistic thought, learning interest, wrong intuition, incomplete/wrong reasoning, and textbooks. Keywords: Describe, Misconception, Causes, Light

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop a three tier diagnostic test of temperature and heat subject in junior high school. This research explained the characteristics of diagnostic test. The method in this research was developed from Borg and Gall development model which has been simplified.The test consists of 30 multiple choice questions with reason and level of confidence. The test involved 31 students on small-scale trials, and 92 students on large-scale trials. The developing diagnostic test can be used to reveal the misconceptions of students, with the characteristics of 1) high validity level, 2) high reliability, 3) low difficulty level, 4) problems made with simple language 5) designed to detect common mistakes, 6) developed based on early conceptions of students. Based on the characteristics, a question that can be used as many as 13 questions from 30 questions developed. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian umpan balik berbentuk buku saku untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi tekanan hidrostatik di kelas VIII MTs Nurul Alamiyah Wajok Hilir. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pre experimental design dengan rancangan one group pretest posttest design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 36 orang siswa kelas IX MTs Nurul Alamiyah Wajok Hilir tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive Sampling. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda dengan alasan terbuka yang terdiri dari 6 soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata persentase penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 30%. Hasil uji McNemar diperoleh rata-rata χ2Hitung (8,76) ˃ χ2Tabel (3,84) untuk db = 1 dan α = 5% maka secara keseluruhan terjadi perubahan konseptual yang signifikan setelah diremediasi menggunakan umpan balik berbentuk buku saku. Diperoleh hasil hitung effect size yaitu sebesar 2,72 ( berkategori tinggi). Kata kunci: Remediasi, Umpan Balik, Buku Saku, Tekanan    Hidrostatik. Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effect of feedback  shaping pocket book to remediate the students’ misconceptions on the hydrostatic pressure material in the eighth grade students of MTs Nurul Alamiyah Wajok Hilir. The method used was Pre Experimental Design with one group pretest posttest design. The sample used in this research was  the ninth grade students of MTs Nurul Alamiyah Wajok Hilir which consisted 36 students in the academic year of 2016/2017 by using purposive sampling technique. Data collection tool used  was a multiple choice test with open reason consisting of six questions. The results showed the decrease percentage average in the number of students who had misconceptions by 30%. McNemar test results obtained by the average of χ2Arithmetic (8.76) ˃ χ2Table (3.84) for db = 1 and α = 5%, then there was conceptual significant changes after being remediated using the feedback shaping pocket book. The effect size result was 2.72 (high category). The result of this research can be used as an alternative of remediation activities for students who had difficulty learning. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil dan motivasi belajar siswa di kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak pada materi getaran dan gelombang dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle 6E berbantuan mind map. Penelitian ini  dilakukan di kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak dengan jumlah 35 siswa. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan persentase hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 5,71% dengan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 71,43% dan siklus II sebesar 77,14%. Sedangkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 5,88% dengan perolehan motivasi belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 77,22% dengan interprestasi kuat dan siklus II sebesar 83,10% dengan interprestasi skor sangat kuat.   Kata kunci: Hasil belajar, motivasi, mind map, learning cycle 6E   Abstract: The aims of this research are to improve the student learning outcomes and motivation of students class VIII B SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak on the material of vibrations and waves for implementation learning cycle 6E with mind map assisted. This research is classroom action research (PTK) carried out in two cycles (planning, action, observation and reflection). 35 students from VIII B SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak participated in learning process. From the result showed increasing of students learning outcomes from the first cycle to second cycle at 5.71%  of student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 71.43% and 77.14% for the second cycle. While the increasing in student motivation from the first cycle to the second cycle by 5,88% with the acquisition of student motivation first cycle of 77.22% with a strong interpretation and the second cycle of 83.10% with a score of very strong interpretation.   Keyword: Learning outcomes, motivation, mind map, learning cycle 6E

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to analyze and produce refutation-structured text handout to remediate student misconception on momentum and impulse. Research and Development (R&D) method used in this study which is adopted from seven steps Borg & Gall development. It involved 89 students from 3 schools in Pontianak and Kubu Raya whom participated in preliminary field and main field. Data collected by using validity questionnaire, student response questionnaire and diagnositc test. The result shows refutation-structure text handout has valid categories which are it can be seen from content feasibility 0,852 (very high criteria), presentation 0,821 (very high criteria), language 96,67% (very good category) and graphic 81,67% (good category). Students response on preliminary field and main field, respectively 81,30% (very high category) and 82,73% (very high category). The results of this study was expected could be used by teacher to remediate momentum and impulse misconception as an alternative media. Keyword: Development, Refutation-Structured Text Handout, Momentum and Impulse

Abstract

AbstractAbstract: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the implementation of direct instruction using mind mapping to enhance the students’ outcomes in quantities, unit and measurement to the seventh grade students of Mts Islamiyah Pontianak. The research was conducted in form of pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample was chosen by using intact group method, the seventh grade with the number of 19 students to be treated. Based on result from t-test, the significant value was 0,00 that is smaller than 0,05, So it was concluded that h0 was rejected and ha was accepted, which means the implementation of direct instruction using mind mapping influence and increase students’ outcomes. The effect size after the treatment based on the calculation of n-gain was 0,25 with low category. This data showed that there was difference of learning outcomes before and after the treatment. This research is expected to be one of the teaching alternatives for teacher to improve students’ outcomes. Keywords: Direct Instruction, Mind Mapping, Student’s Outcome
