Abstract

AbstractThis purpose of this study is to know the  influences  of mind mapping technique on improving student learning outcomes in materials of heat transfer in grade VII. The form of study used quasi experimental with quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Instrument data collection used in this study involved pretest and posttest that each of them question multiple choice amounted 18 to quantify of learning achievement . The technique of selecting sample used intac group.study uses classes that are composed of control classes and experiment each class consists of 40 students. The result of this study indicate that there is an increase in learning outcomes using mind mapping technique with student using conventional record technique then obtained the result P Value 1.88461 X 10-22< alpha 0.05. Based on the result of this  study can be recommended that techniq mind mapping can be use as an alternative learning technique to increase student learning achievement.Keywords: technique, mind mapping, learning outcomes, heat transfer

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the improvement of students' thinking skills through the Earth and Space Science (IPBA) lectures that integrate science activities with interactive multimedia and local science. The research method used was experimental design (quasy experiment) with comparative group of pretest-posttest group design. Data collection techniques that will be done are measurement techniques in the form of students' thinking skills tests and surveys in the form of student and lecturer responses to the lectures are held. Physics education student semester 4 academic year 2016/2017 will participate as research subject. The results showed that the increase (N-gain) of students' thinking skill in experimental class was 0,70 and control class was 0,40 (both medium category). By using Paired Sample Test obtained tcount = 8,338 at significance level P = 0,000. The significance level is less than 0.05 (P <α), so it can be concluded that the application of lectures that integrate local science and technology in IPBA lectures can improve students' thinking skills significantly compared with conventional lectures.Keywords: high order thinking skills, earth and space science, multimedia interaktif.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of providing the feedback in the form of answer sheet correction with teachers explanations to remediate student mistake on reflection of light in SMP Bumi Khatulistiwa Sungai Raya. This research used pre experimental design which was formed in one group pre-test post-test design. Sample of this research was done by random sampling technique with intact group to 20 students in the class IX B. Means of data collecting in essays form consists of 8 questions. The data analysis result showed that providing the feedback in the form of answer sheet correction with teachers explanations effective to remediate student mistake of the average proportion value, the result shown decline from the students who got a mistake as much as 0.41, it was in moderate effectiveness. Providing the feedback in the form of corrected answer along with teacher's explanation can be an alternative to remediate students' mistake in subject material about light reflection. Keyword: Answer Correction, Mistake , Light Reflection Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pemberian umpan balik berupa koreksian jawaban disertai penjelasan guru untuk meremediasi kesalahan siswa pada materi pemantulan cahaya di SMP Bumi Khatulistiwa Sungai Raya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Pre-Experimental design dengan bentuk one-group pretest posttest design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling dengan teknik intact group yaitu sebanyak 20 siswa di kelas IX B. Alat pengumpul data berbentuk esai terdiri dari 8 soal. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan pemberian umpan balik berupa koreksian jawaban disertai penjelasan guru efektif untuk meremediasi kesalahan siswa dengan harga rata-rata proporsi penurunan siswa yang mengalami kesalahan sebesar 0,41 tergolong sedang. Pemberian umpan balik berupa koreksian jawaban disertai penjelasan guru dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam meremediasi kesalahan siswa pada materi pemantulan cahaya.

Abstract

AbstrakThis research aimed to describe the remediation of misconception of light’s concept effectivity of students of SMP PGRI 1 Paloh by mnemonic-based re-learning. The form of the research is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. This research involved 29 students of grade VIII A which were taken by using intact group technique. The tool of data collection used was a multiple-choice test with three alternative choices consist of 9 items. Based on the distribution of students which experienced misconception during pretest and posttest, it was found the average percentage was declining in the amount of 38,31%. McNemar test result in 6 items showed  for db = 1 and  while the binomial test result showed 2 items smaller than , so as a whole there was a significant change of conception toward the concept of light. The average of remediation effectivity using mnemonic-based re-learning for every concepts was 53 (category medium). The result of this research was expected to be an alternative when attempting to remediate the misconception the students were having. Keyword:  Remediation, Misconception, Mnemonic, Light

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Selimbau pada materi fluida statis dengan menggunakan pembelajaran predict, observe, dan explain (POE) dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-exsperimental design dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dengan melibatkan 20 orang siswa kelas XI IPA. Hasil penelitian menunjukan penurunan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 44,5% siswa. Remediasi miskonsepsi siswa menggunakan pembelajaran predict, observe, dan explain (POE) efektif untuk menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 0,57 (kategori sedang). Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan oleh guru sebagai alternative untuk meminimalkan miskonsepsi siswa dalam memahami fluida statis. Kata Kunci: Remediasi, Miskonsepsi, POE Abstract: The aims of this study is to reduce misconceptions students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Selimbau the static fluid material using Predict, Observe, and explain (POE) learning to remediate misconceptions. The method used is pre-exsperimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample used in this study using saturated sampling technique, involving 20 students of class XI IPA. The results showed a decrease in the average percentage of 44,5% student misconceptions students. Remediation of misconceptions students use learning Predict, Observe, and explain (POE) was effective reducing misconceptions students by 0.57 (medium category). Thus, this research can be used by teachers as an alternative to minimize misconceptions students in understanding the static fluid. Keywords: Remediation, misconceptions, POE

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to knowed effectiveness about the application of cooperative learning model type two stay two stray assisted structured worksheets to remediation student misconceptions on Archimedes laws in SMP Negeri 2 Siantan Grade VIII Pontianak. The method was experimental with one group pretest-posttest design which is 32 students participated. The results showed that student misconception have reduction after remediation as much as 59.74%. Cooperative learning model type two stay two stray assisted structured worksheets effective to remediation student misconception with Effect Size as much as 1.8 (high category). Based on interview, 77.78% students are agree with that students actively participate in learning when remediation use cooperative learning model type two stay two stray assisted structured worksheets. This research is expected to be used as an alternative remediation activities for students to be able to overcome the misconceptions that experienced by students.Keywords: Remediation, Two Stay Two Stray.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas remediasi penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe two stay two stray berbantuan lembar kerja berstruktur untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada hukum Archimedes di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Siantan Kabupaten Pontianak. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 32 siswa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa persentase rata-rata penurunan miskonsepsi siswa setelah diberikan remediasi sebesar 59,74%. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe two stay two stray berbantuan lembar kerja berstruktur efektif untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa dengan Effect Size sebesar 1,8 (berkategori tinggi). Berdasarkan wawancara, 77,78% siswa setuju sehingga siswa berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam pembelajaran ketika diremediasi menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe two stay two stray berbantuan lembar kerja berstruktur. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif kegiatan remediasi bagi siswa agar dapat mengatasi miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa.Kata Kunci: Remediasi, Two Stay Two Stray.

Abstract

 Abstract The purpose of this study is to know the influence of examples and non-examples type of cooperative learning model for increased student learning achievement on solid matter expansion. The form of study used quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Data collection instrument in this study involved pretest and posttest that each of them  question description to quantify of learning achievement. This study conducted in two classes consisting of experiment class and control class. For experiment class, samples were 31 students and for control class were 29 students. The result of this study showed that there was difference increase of students learning achievement between being  taught with examples non-examples type of cooperative learning model and conventional learning model with P Value 1.07267x10-12 < from α = 0,05. Based on the results of this study can be recommended that examples and non examples type of cooperative learning model can be use as an alternative learning model to increase student learning achievement.Keywords: solid matter expansion, learning achievement, examples non-examples type of cooperative learning model.

Abstract

Absract: The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of students misconception remediation activity by physics education students of Tanjungpura University period 2010-2012 using secondary analysis method. The samples are 8 from 35 studies chosen randomly in the library of Tanjungpura University. The focus of these review are the definition of remediation and the procedural of remediation. Data was collected by using a questionnaire. It is found that only 3 of 9 remediation characteristics fulfilled remediation activity properly. Based on the determining criteria, only 4 studies which have the definition of remediation conceptual and operational correctly. For the other result of studies conducted by the physics education students of Tanjungpura University period 2010-2012 was not based on the remediation procedure rightly. It is suggested, particularly for students who will conduct the remediation studies to learn and understand so that remediation results were better than now. Keywords: Remediation, Secondary Analysis, Physics Education Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat deskripsi pelaksanaan kegiatan remediasi miskonsepsi (siswa) oleh mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika FKIP UNTAN periode tahun 2010-2012 dalam bentuk secondary analysis. Delapan skripsi dipilih dari 35 skripsi yang tersedia di Unit Pelaksana Teknis (UPT) Perpustakaan Universitas Tanjungpura untuk direviu. Telaah difokuskan pada definisi remediasi dan prosedur remediasi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrument lembar isian skripsi. Ditemukan bahwa pelaksanaan remediasi hanya memenuhi 3 dari 9 kriteria remediasi yang baik. Hanya 4 skripsi yang memiliki definisi remediasi secara konsepsional dan operasional dengan betul. Hasil yang lain adalah seluruh remediasi oleh mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika FKIP UNTAN periode 2010-2012 tidak sesuai dengan prosedur remediasi yang tepat. Disarankan sebelum melaksanakan kegiatan remediasi sebaiknya memahami lebih rinci karakteristik remediasi yang baik. Kata kunci: Remediasi, Secondary Analysis, Pendidikan Fisika

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini didesain untuk menggali miskonsepsi siswa SD tentang perubahan wujud benda dalam peristiwa alam daur air. Teknik An Individual Demonstration Interview (IDI) dalam bahasa Dayak Keninjal digunakan untuk menggali miskonsepsi sembilan siswa SD Kelas V. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan membandingkan konsepsi siswa dan konsepsi ilmuwan untuk memperoleh miskonsepsi siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa memiliki miskonsepsi pada konsep perubahan wujud benda dalam peristiwa alam daur air. Siswa menganggap air berubah wujud menjadi awan ketika menguap, pengembunan terjadi karena ada embun, hujan terjadi ketika awan menguap, air masuk ke dalam tanah karena ada lubang. Mayoritas siswa tidak menyebutkan ada proses pengembunan dan perembesan pada daur air. Siswa cenderung mengungkapkan konsepsinya berdasarkan hal-hal konkrit dan hanya sebatas pemikirannya sendiri. Hasil penelitian memiliki beberapa manfaat pada pembelajaran. Disarankan melakukan perbaikan pada strategi pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: miskonsepsi, wawancara, bahasa ibu   Abstract: This study was designed to find out elementary school students’ misconceptions about change of phase in water cycle phenomenon. An Individual Demonstration Interview (IDI) in Keninjal language has been used to prompt misconceptions among nine fifth-grade students. The collected data were analysed qualitatively by comparing students’ conceptions and scientists’ conceptions. The results indicate that the students have some misconceptions of the physics of water cycle phenomenon. Students notice that water change form into clouds when it evaporates, condensation occur because there are dew, it starts to rain when the clouds evaporate, water moving underground because there are holes in soil. Majority of students did not mention condensation and infiltration processes during the interview. Besides, they were found to have a tendency to answer questions based on concrete things and his own thoughts. The results have some implications for teaching. It is suggested that a substantial revision of teaching strategies is needed. Keywords: misconceptions, interview, mother tongue

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak pada materi gaya dengan metode pembelajaran buzz group. Melalui metode pembelajaran buzz group, peserta didik secara keseluruhan akan berpartisipasi secara relevan dalam proses pembelajaran materi gaya melalui diskusi kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak dengan jumlah peserta didik 36 orang. Dari hasil penelitian pada siklus I rata-rata aktivitas belajar peserta didik yang relevan sebesar 86,80 % dan pada siklus II sebesar 94,79 %. Terjadi peningkatan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I sebesar 75 % dengan nilai rata-rata 84,3 dan pada siklus II sebesar 82,86 % dengan nilai rata-rata 87. Kata Kunci : Aktivitas, Hasil Belajar, Buzz Group Abstract : This classroom action research purpose to improve the activity and learning outcomes of students class VIII E SMPN 8 Pontianak on force matter with buzz group teaching methods. Overall students will participate with relevant in the learning process of force matter through the small group discussions and large groups. 36 studentof class VIII E SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak participate in the learning process of buzz group teaching methods. The results in the first cycle activity of the relevant learners 86.80% and the second cycle 94.79%. Learning outcomes of students in the first cycle 75% with an average score 84.3 and the second cycle 82.86% with an average score 87. Keywords : Activity, Learning Outcomes, Buzz Group
