Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of product quality and service quality on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction for Honda Vario motorbike users in Sidoarjo. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling with a total of 100 respondents. The method used in this research is Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis using SmartPLS 4.0 software. It is known that the results of this research show that 1) product quality has a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction. 2) Service quality has a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty. 3) product quality does not have a positive and insignificant influence on customer loyalty. 4) Service quality has a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction. 5) Customer satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty. 6) Product quality has a positive and significant influence through customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. 7) Service quality has a positive and significant influence through customer satisfaction on customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of compensation, work motivation, and work discipline on employee performance at PT. Pabrik Gula Candi Baru, Sidoarjo. The type of research used is associative with a quantitative approach. In this study, the simple random sampling technique was applied to obtain 60 samples from 150 employees in the company. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS software. The analysis results showed that work discipline was the variable that most influenced performance. The results of SPSS data processing showed that: 1) compensation variables (X1), work motivation (X2), and work discipline (X3) simultaneously had a significant effect on employee performance (Y) at PT. Pabrik Gula Candi Baru, Sidoarjo; 2) compensation variables (X1) partially did not have a significant effect on employee performance (Y); 3) work motivation variables (X2) partially also did not have a significant effect on employee performance (Y); and 4) work discipline variables (X3) partially had a significant effect on employee performance (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to identify the marketing strategies used by Kedai Tempong Surabaya to increase sales volume. The sampling method was carried out purposively by evaluating the implementation of the 7P marketing mix strategy (product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, process). This study was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach and SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat). SWOT analysis is used to assess the company's internal strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities and threats from the external environment. With SWOT analysis, several alternative effective decision-making strategies can be produced. The results showed that Kedai Tempong Surabaya has an internal strength of 2.25, weaknesses of 0.71, opportunities of 1.53, and threats of 1.33. Based on the SWOT analysis diagram, Kedai Tempong Surabaya is in quadrant 1, which supports an aggressive growth strategy (growth-oriented strategy) to increase sales turnover.

Abstract

Gaining extensive knowledge of prey sources is an essential approach for understanding trophic structure and relationships, especially in highly diverse coral reef ecosystems. Groupers are a major Asian reef fish commodity, making it important to study grouper prey and the trophic relations involved. The wide distribution of groupers across different environments could lead to distinctive predatory behaviour. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate and compare the taxonomic classification and composition of prey in the diets of two common groupers (Epinephelus areolatus and E. malabaricus) based on DNA metabarcoding of stomach contents and potential prey detection using environmental DNA tools at sites in the coral reefs of Raja Ampat, Indonesia. DNA recovered from the water column comprised taxa from the Arthropoda, Chordata, Cnidaria and Mollusca, several of which were also found in grouper guts, with Cnidaria the most abundant class. Diversity was high for potential prey species in the environment and prey consumed by each grouper species. The high overlap in prey identified from gut contents indicates these two epinephelids have a similar feeding strategy. However, nMDS ordination showed segregation between the prey consumed by each species and potential prey available in the environment. The results indicate a low likelihood of competition between the two grouper species, related to the abundance and wide choice of potential prey in the highly biodiverse Raja Ampat coral reef ecosystem.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of internship experience, interpersonal skills, and technical skills on the work readiness level of students at LP3I College Surabaya. This study is based on the urgent need for higher education graduates to be prepared for the challenges of the world of work, not limited to technical skills alone, work experience, and interpersonal skills are also very important factors. This research design is quantitative and uses an associative approach. The study involved 42 students as samples from the 2023–2025 cohort who had participated in an internship program. The study employed a saturated sampling technique for sample selection, and data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression techniques through the SPSS version 31 application. The findings show that, simultaneously, internship experience, interpersonal skills, and technical skills have a positive and significant impact on work readiness. Partially, it was found that internship experience and interpersonal skills contributed positively to the work readiness of LP3I College Surabaya students significantly, while hard skills did not show a meaningful influence. These findings indicate that the employability of LP3I College Surabaya students is determined more by real-world internship experience and non-technical skills than by technical skills alone.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk menjawab kebutuhan penguatan tata kelola keuangan pada PT Pegadaian Kanwil XII Surabaya yang mengelola transaksi dan saldo kas dari banyak cabang dengan tingkat kompleksitas tinggi. Tujuan kegiatan adalah mendukung pelaksanaan monitoring saldo dan transaksi keuangan cabang, memperbaiki ketelitian verifikasi dokumen pertanggungjawaban, serta mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan sistem informasi keuangan berbasis digital pada Divisi Keuangan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi partisipatif, pembelajaran melalui praktik langsung dalam proses tresuri dan persetujuan pengeluaran, serta konsultasi berkala dengan pembimbing lapangan dan staf terkait untuk memastikan kesesuaian dengan prosedur yang berlaku. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan mahasiswa membantu kelancaran proses pemantauan limit kas, setoran kelebihan kas, dan pengisian kas cabang, sekaligus mempercepat rekonsiliasi data antara laporan cabang dan catatan wilayah. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan kerapian administrasi dan dokumentasi keuangan serta penguatan penerapan prosedur pengendalian internal dalam siklus pengeluaran. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan manfaat nyata bagi mitra dalam bentuk dukungan operasional dan peningkatan kualitas monitoring keuangan, sekaligus menjadi wahana penerapan dan pengembangan ilmu administrasi bisnis dan manajemen keuangan bagi mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of product placement, celebrity endorsers, and product innovation in enhancing the brand awareness of Wall’s PopCornetto. Marketing strategies play a crucial role in enhancing brand awareness, particularly in the highly competitive ice cream industry. As one of Unilever Indonesia's innovative products, Wall’s PopCornetto applies these strategies to strengthen its brand presence among consumers. The rapid expansion of digital media, especially YouTube and Instagram, presents new opportunities for brands to increase visibility and consumer engagement through creative marketing approaches. This research uses a quantitative associative approach with purposive sampling of 100 respondents. The respondents are Instagram followers of Wall’s Cornetto, have watched Wall’s PopCornetto advertisements on the Iqbaal program on the VINDES YouTube channel, recognize Refal Hady as a celebrity endorser, and know Wall’s PopCornetto product. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire using a Likert scale, and the analysis was conducted using SPSS 25 with validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that product placement, celebrity endorser, and product innovation significantly affect brand awareness, both partially and simultaneously. Among these variables, celebrity endorsers had the highest influence on brand awareness, indicating that a well-known and credible public figure can effectively attract consumer attention and reinforce product recall.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of compensation (X1), workload (X2), and work discipline (X3), on employee performance (Y) at PT Vasa Sukses Mandiri. This type of research uses associative research using a quantitative approach. The population in this study were employees of Pt. Vasa Sukses Mandiri, while the number of samples used was 48 respondents using probability sampling. The data analysis tools used in this study are validity test, classical assumption test, multiple regression linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that based on the partial test (1) Compensation has a positive effect on employee performance Pt. Vasa Sukses Mandiri; (2) Workload has a positive effect on employee performance Pt. Vasa Sukses Mandiri; (3) Work Discipline has a positive effect on employee performance Pt. Vasa Sukses Mandiri. (4) Compensation, Workload and Work Discipline simultaneously have a significant effect on the performance of employees of Pt. Vasa Sukses Mandiri. Of the 4 dominant variables is work discipline, this can be seen based on the highest multiple linear regression value of 0.395.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of perceived value, Variety Seeking, and Promotion on Brand switching on Fashion Products in E-Commerce for Shopee customers in the Surabaya area. This type of research is associative research using a quantitative approach. The population in this study are Surabaya people who have made online purchases of fashion products and have experience doing brand switching from one brand of fashion products and to another fashion brand sold in e-commerce. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with a sample size of 100 respondents. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis using Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) software version 25. The results of this study state that the variables Perceived value (X1), Variety Seeking (X2), and Promotion (X3) simultaneously have a significant effect on Brand switching (Y). Then the variables perceived value and variety seeking partially have a positive and significant effect on brand switching variables, while promotion partially has a negative and significant effect on brand switching variables.

Abstract

Pelayanan publik di bidang kesehatan merupakan prioritas nasional karena merupakan hak asasi manusia yang fundamental, namun dalam pelaksanaannya seringkali dihadapkan pada masalah operasional seperti antrean panjang dan kesalahan pengolahan data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur pelaksanaan pelayanan peserta di BPJS Kesehatan Cabang Sidoarjo, mengevaluasi efektivitasnya, serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan mutu pelayanan. Metode pelaksanaan tugas dilakukan melalui praktik kerja lapangan dengan teknik observasi partisipatif, di mana penulis terlibat langsung dalam proses pelayanan tatap muka, verifikasi data, hingga penanganan keluhan peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa prosedur pelayanan di kantor cabang melibatkan empat tahap utama, yaitu verifikasi awal oleh petugas keamanan atau service officer, pelayanan di loket oleh frontliner, penanganan dan pemberian solusi teknis, serta konfirmasi dan penutupan layanan melalui penilaian kepuasan. Selain layanan tatap muka, BPJS Kesehatan juga telah mengintegrasikan layanan digital melalui PANDAWA, aplikasi Mobile JKN, dan Care Center 165 untuk meningkatkan efisiensi. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan magang ini adalah bahwa prosedur pelayanan yang sistematis dan edukasi intensif mengenai kanal digital sangat efektif dalam mengurangi beban operasional di kantor cabang serta meningkatkan kecepatan akses informasi bagi peserta.
