Abstract

The deep learning approach in education emphasize meaningful learning that encourages deep understanding, critical thinking, and reflaction in students. This study aims to describe the iplementation of the deep learning approach in language learning among fourth-grade students in MIN 1 Purwakarta and to identify its impact on the learning process and outcomes of students. This study uses a qualitative apporoach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out through learning observations, interviews with fourth-grade teachers, and documentation. The result showed that deep learning approach was implemented through contextual learning, reflective discussion, group work, and the integration of religious values in language learning. This implentation had a positive impact on improving students understanding of the material, their activeness, and their critical and communicative thinking skills. This the deep learning approach is effectively applied in language at MIN 1 Purwakarta

Abstract

Islamic character education through habituation is a fundamental strategy in shaping the moral character of elementary school students. However, the rapid development of digital technology and massive gadget usage has created new challenges in implementing character habituation programs. This preliminary research aims to identify and analyze the main challenges faced by elementary schools in maintaining the effectiveness of Islamic character habituation programs amid the negative influence of the digital era. Using a systematic literature review method on 30 sources (20 national journals and 10 international journals, 2020-2026), this research identified five critical challenges: (1) low digital ethics and cyberbullying, (2) social media and gadget addiction, (3) decreased face-to-face social interaction, (4) misinformation dissemination, and (5) limited parental supervision. The analysis results show that integrating habituation management with digital literacy, school-parent collaboration, and wise technology use are strategic solutions. This research serves as an important foundation for further studies on resilient character habituation management models against digital challenges.

Abstract

The implementation of conventional academic supervision in elementary schools often faces constraints such as time constraints, limited documentation space, and slow feedback. This results in a suboptimal evaluation process and hinders the acceleration of improving the quality of teacher teaching in the classroom. This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of digitalized supervision by principals and its impact on improving teacher performance at the elementary school level. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with principals and teachers, direct observation of the digital-based supervision process, and documentation study related to performance assessment results. Data analysis was conducted interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The study shows that implementing digitalized supervision through a dedicated  application or school management platform can improve the efficiency, transparency, and objectivity of the assessment process. Principals can provide instant (real-time) feedback, allowing teachers to quickly access evaluation results for teaching improvement. The use of this digital instrument has been proven to significantly improve teacher discipline, motivation, and pedagogical competence, ultimately positively impacting the quality of learning. However, the success of this system still requires support in improving teachers' digital competencies and providing adequate infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the role of school principals in the development of the Professional Learning Community (PLC), analyze the challenges faced by principals in implementing PLC to support deep learning, and formulate recommendations for best practices for principals in creating a collaborative learning environment. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with school principals and observations in several schools that have implemented PLC. The results show that school principals have a central role in developing PLC through inspiring leadership and support for collaboration among teachers. However, the challenges faced include resistance from staff, lack of understanding of the PLC concept, and resource limitations. Based on these findings, best practice recommendations were formulated to help school principals, including: improving training and professional development for staff, encouraging open and collaborative communication among teachers, and providing adequate resources to support PLC implementation. The implications of this research are expected to provide guidance for school principals in creating and managing a collaborative and effective learning environment.

Abstract

Educational financing management is an essential component in supporting the successful implementation of education in schools. This study aims to analyze educational financing management through the School Activity and Budget Plan (RKAS) at SDN Ciparay 03, Bandung Regency. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the school's funding sources consist of Performance-Based School Operational Assistance (BOSP Kinerja) amounting to Rp 6,120,000 and budget surplus funds (Silpa) amounting to Rp16,380,000, resulting in a total budget of Rp22,500,000. The budget allocation prioritizes learning process development, curriculum development, learning evaluation, and procurement of administrative facilities. RKAS management is implemented through planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation stages based on transparency and accountability principles. The study concludes that educational financing management at SDN Ciparay 03 has been implemented effectively in supporting educational quality improvement, although supervision and evaluation mechanisms still need to be strengthened.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of gadget integration as an interactive learning medium to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with PRISMA procedures , this study synthesized 30 scientific articles from Google Scholar, SINTA, and Scopus databases for the 2021–2025 period. The results indicate that gadget integration effectively enhances students' motivation, active engagement, and learning outcomes. However, this effectiveness highly depends on systematic management, including planning learning objectives, organizing usage rules, implementing gadgets as interactive media, and supervising to minimize distractions. This management framework is essential to ensure that gadget use in elementary schools is well-directed, effective, and sustainable.

Abstract

The management of State-Owned Assets (BMN) in schools is a fundamental element in supporting educational infrastructure, yet its implementation is frequently constrained by administrative burdens rather than optimization for learning. This study aims to examine how the optimization of fixed asset management can contribute directly to the quality and efficiency of the learning process in schools. Using a qualitative-descriptive literature review approach, this study analyzes secondary data from academic databases and government regulations published between 2021 and 2026. Data analysis was conducted using the content analysis method. The findings indicate that an optimized BMN management lifecycle comprising bottom-up planning, accurate codification, and preventive maintenance significantly improves fiscal efficiency. Furthermore, the integration of physical ergonomics in classrooms and adaptive ICT infrastructure deployment serves as a fundamental pillar in ensuring a sustainable digital learning environment and enhancing overall educational quality. Concurrently, the study identifies human resource limitations and budgeting constraints as major hindrances. To address these challenges, the study recommends the digitalization of inventory control via simplified applications and regular asset management training for administrative staff.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the important role of school principals in improving teachers' pedagogical performance through a sustainable coaching approach. Teachers' pedagogical performance still faces various challenges, such as suboptimal lesson planning, limited reflective practices, and insufficient systematic professional assistance. This study aimed to analyze the principal's leadership in implementing the micro-habits coaching method to improve teachers' pedagogical performance at SMP Negeri 1 Plered, Purwakarta Regency. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The research informants consisted of the principal, vice principals, teachers, and educational staff involved in the implementation of the coaching program. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. The findings revealed that the implementation of the micro-habits coaching method was carried out through structured stages of planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. The principal played roles as a coach, facilitator, and instructional leader in encouraging changes in teachers' professional behavior through consistent small habits. The implementation of this method was proven to improve teachers' pedagogical performance, particularly in the aspects of lesson planning, instructional implementation, classroom management, and learning evaluation. This study concludes that principal leadership through the micro-habits coaching method is an effective strategy for improving teachers' pedagogical performance and supporting the development of a sustainable learning culture in schools. Abstract

  The School Operational Assistance Fund (Bantuan Operasional Sekolah/BOS) is one of the Indonesian government's programs aimed at improving access, equity, and the quality of education by providing financial support for non-personnel operational expenses in educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the management of educational financing through the BOS Fund in improving the quality of education at SMPN 52 Bandung. The study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive research method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the management of the BOS Fund at SMPN 52 Bandung has been implemented through the functions of planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision in accordance with the government's technical guidelines. The planning process was carried out through the preparation of the School Activity and Budget Plan (Rencana Kegiatan dan Anggaran Sekolah—RKAS), involving various stakeholders. Budget implementation was conducted in a transparent and accountable manner. Supervision was carried out by the school principal, the school committee, the local education office, and the government through the BOS reporting system. The management of the BOS Fund has contributed to improving the quality of education by providing educational facilities and infrastructure, enhancing teachers' competencies, procuring learning media, and improving student services. However, the school still faces challenges, including limited funding compared to its operational needs and frequent changes in government regulations.

Abstract

  This study aims to analyze the management of educational financing through digitalization in supporting the quality of education at SDN 098 Ciroyom. The focus of the study includes the planning, implementation, supervision, and accountability of educational financing, as well as the contribution of digitalization in improving the quality of education. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation with informants consisting of the principal, the BOS treasurer, teachers, and the school committee. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was tested through source triangulation, technical triangulation, and member checking. The results of the study indicate that financing planning is carried out in a participatory manner through the preparation of the School Activity and Budget Plan (RKAS) by utilizing digital systems, such as the School Activity and Budget Plan Application (ARKAS), so that planning becomes more systematic, transparent, and in accordance with school needs. Financing implementation refers to the RKAS and technical instructions for the School Operational Assistance Fund (BOS), while supervision is carried out internally and externally to ensure accountability for budget use. Financial accountability is prepared transparently through fund utilization reports supported by comprehensive administrative evidence. The implementation of digitalization in financial management has been proven to improve financial management efficiency, strengthen transparency and accountability, and support the provision of infrastructure, improve teacher competency, and improve the quality of the learning process. Thus, the digitalization of education financial management has contributed positively to improving the quality of education at SDN 098 Ciroyom.
