Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa di Fakultas Bahasa Ilmu pengetahuan dan Teknologi melalui kegiatan workshop. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) berorientasi pada pemberdayaan mahasiswa. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memfasilitasi para mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilannya dalam hal membuka peluang wirausaha. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama bulan Maret-Juli 2025. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan adalah para mahasiswa yang berjumlah 30 orang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa para mahasiswa sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan dan berkomitmen untuk kedepannya dapat terus mengembangkan keterampilan wirausaha salah satunya berupa teknik ecoprint ini.

Abstract

Background: Mathematics is a subject that almost all students consider to be difficult, boring, and unpleasant. Teachers are essential in packaging learning and using engaging media to make learning fun and memorable. Aim:  This research analyzes the need for interactive multimedia and student learning outcomes. Method: This research uses a qualitative approach, with a qualitative descriptive method, for data collection techniques carried out using teacher and student interview instrument sheets, direct observation, and distributing interactive multimedia needs questionnaires. Results and Dıscussion: The results of the need for interactive multimedia (indicator 1 of the causes of low mathematics learning outcomes) show that 56% (14 out of 25 students) think mathematics is too complicated. For (Indicator 2 methods that teachers often use), the results showed that 64% (16 of 25 students) answered that the teacher explained the lesson and gave practice questions. For (Indicator 3, the impression of mathematics learning), 48% (12 of 25 students) thought that mathematics is a tough lesson, 24% (6 out of 25 students) said it was boring, 20% (5 out of 25 students) said it was challenging but fun and 8% (2 out of 25 students) said learning mathematics made them curious. In (indicator 4, Frequently used learning resources) there were 56% (14 out of 25 students) stated that worksheets were the primary learning source, and 44% (11 out of 25 students) answered textbooks. Conclusion: This research concludes that students need new learning resources such as interactive multimedia in speed and discharge subjects, indicating that 100% of students support and need this media in learning.

Abstract

A management unit-based land cover change analysis was examined in Kahayan Tengah Forest Management Unit (FMU) to understand past, present, and future land cover to assist forest management planning in Kahayan Tengah FMU. This study aims to model land cover change in 2011 and 2016, predict 2021, and simulate land cover in 2026 in Kahayan Tengah FMU. Modeling land cover prediction and simulation using MOLUSCE from the QGIS plugin. The results revealed that agricultural land experienced significant increase in total area during 2011–2016. Modeling potential land cover transitions in 2011 and 2016 with the Artificial Neural Network method showed a Kappa coefficient of 0.701 in the good category, and simulation of land cover in 2021 with the Cellular Automata method showed a Kappa coefficient of 0.672 in the good category. By 2026, the agricultural land will continue to increase while forest land tends to remain stable in its total area. This study managed to predict land cover in 2021 and simulated 2026 with good accuracy. Thus, this data and information can support forest management planning in Kahayan Tengah FMU. Abstract

Typically, biology students pursue natural sciences. As the world becomes increasingly interconnected and reliant on digital technologies and platforms, it is essential to evaluate their technological preparedness. This study aims to validate a mapping instrument of the digital competence of pre-service Biology teachers in a leading private university in Indonesia. The analysis used the Rasch model to measure the validity and reliability of questionnaire instrument utilizing the Logit Value of Item (LVI). The Digital competency (Digcom) questionnaire contains 36 statements in the Indonesian language (Bahasa). This questionnaire aims to record respondents' answers to digital skills for preservice teachers. The statement is adapted from the digital competence area for EU citizens combined with the Digital Literacy guidelines of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information. The result of the retranslation has been validated to remove the ambiguity of each item of the statement by English language experts. The pilot research was conducted on preservice teachers from different backgrounds (gender, department, and year of study) in a private University (n=261). The findings indicated that all the items were deemed acceptable as they met the criteria for the PTMEA-CORR range, MNSQ outfit, and ZSTD outfit. This study is among the few that have explored the digital competency framework of preservice teacher students in Indonesia, specifically in relation to the difficulty level of each competency area.

Abstract

In this study we focus to analyze the teacher and student perception about the development of the local wisdom module, especially to increase learning outcome. The research method is descriptive and qualitative by used surveys to collect data. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 2 elementary school teacher and to 20 student 5th grade students, SDN 3 Langkai in Palangkaraya city, Central Kalimantan. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this research showed that teachers have never developed their own teaching materials based on local potential in Central Kalimantan, while students are of the opinion that the use of teaching materials based on local potential will make learning activities more interesting. This research concluded that the development of local wisdom module especially about batang garing very important thing to do based on teacher and student perception and important to continue in the next research to develop the module.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the response to the needs of ethno-STEAM based e-comic “lilis lamiang” for elementary school students. In this study we focus to analyze the teacher and student perception about the development of the local wisdom module, especially to increase learning outcome. The research method is descriptive and qualitative by used surveys to collect data. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 2 elementary school teacher and to 20 student 5th grade students, SDN 4 Menteng in Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan. Abstract

Background: The background contains the problems or topics studied in this research. Aim: This research aims to explore and analyze the influence of the quality of closeness between students and teachers on students' academic achievement and social skills at the Muhammadiyah Pahandut Palangka Raya Elementary School. Method: This research uses a quantitative approach by collecting data through questionnaires distributed to students and teachers at the elementary school. Results and Dıscussion: The research results show that the quality of the attachment between students and teachers has a significant impact on students' academic achievement and social skills. There is a strong correlation between a good relationship between students and teachers and students' academic achievement and social abilities. These findings provide a deeper understanding of the importance of positive relationships between teachers and students in improving students' learning achievement and social interaction abilities in the educational environment. Conclusion: This research provides a basis for further attention to efforts to develop close relationships between teachers and students as an important factor in improving the quality of education at Elementary School Muhammadiyah Pahandut Palangka Raya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan aktivitas belajar IPA pada peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 5 Menteng Palangka Raya dengan menerapkan model Two Stay Two Stray, (2) mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dalam pembelajaran IPA kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 5 Menteng Palangka Raya dengan menerapkan model Two Stay Two Stray, (3) meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA dengan menggunakan model Two Stay Two Stray pada peserta didik kelas V di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 5 Menteng Palangka Raya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian peneliti sebanyak 31 orang peserta didik dengan 16 laki-laki dan 15 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Analisis data didasarkan pada hasil siklus saat proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Aktivitas belajar IPA peserta didik pada siklus I menjadi baik pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung dengan menggunakan model Two Stay Two Stray dengan menggunakan media gambar pada peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 5 Menteng Palangka Raya. (2) Aktivitas guru pada siklus I menjadi baik pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung dengan menggunakan model Two Stay Two Stray dengan menggunakan media gambar pada peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 5 Menteng Palangka Raya (3) Ada peningkatan hasil belajar IPA dengan menggunakan model Two Stay Two Stray dengan menggunakan media gambar pada peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 5 Menteng Palangka Raya. Hal ini terlihat dari data hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I dengan rata-rata yaitu 85 dan ketuntasan secara klasikalnya yaitu 100 %.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the school branding strategy used by private Islamic education units in Palangka Raya City in order to improve school marketing management. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data validation was carried out using the triangulation technique of data sources by comparing the results of observations, interviews and documentation with the theory used. The principal, deputy principal and teachers were used as informants. Data analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Research findings on School Branding strategies in improving school marketing management in private Islamic education units in Palangka Raya City which include creating jargon, institutional logos, vision and mission and all of this is displayed in printed or digital flayers, videos and photos on social media accounts and website management. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide references and information on improving School Branding strategies and fill in the gaps in Branding aspects that can still be implemented. Abstract

Background: Taman Baca Baraoi merupakan sebuah taman baca yang ada di daerah pedalaman Kalimantan Tengah, Desa Tumbang Baraoi, kecamatan petak malai, Kabupaten katingan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pemberdayaan literasi sains ke masyarakat usia sekolah dasar di Desa Tumbang Baraoi tersebut. Metode: Kegiatan story telling menggunakan buku mengenai sains. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta kegiatan tertarik dengan kegiatan yang dilaksanakan. Hal tersebut diketahui berdasarkan hasil observasi terhadap motivasi belajar sains yang mengalami peningkatan. Sebelum kegiatan, motivasi instrinsik peserta sebesar 2,7 meningkat menjadi 4,6 setelah kegiatan, diiringi dengan self efficacy dari 3,2 meningkat menjadi 4,5, self determination meningkat dari 2,9 menjadi 4,5 dan motivasi kelas meningkat dari 2,7 menjadi 4,5. Berdasarkan data literasi sains juga mengalami peningkatan setelah kegiatan yaitu 32,8 meningkat menjadi 73,7. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan memebrikan dampak yang positif kepada peserta kegiatan. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan serupa seperti ini perlu untuk terus dilakukan karena tentunya masyarakat di Desa Tumbang Baraoi tersebut memiliki akses Pendidikan yang sangat minim.
