Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the improvement of fine motor skills in young children through origami-playing activities. By playing origami, children's fine motor skills will improve. Paper folding activities will ensure that children use their small muscles to fold the paper that has been provided, so that the small muscles will be sharpened to the maximum. This research uses classroom action research. The data required for this research was collected through observation of the implementation of origami or paper folding activities. During the learning and observation process, the researcher also noted things related to the problem that were in accordance with the researcher's focus. Based on the results of classroom action research (PTK) and data analysis carried out collaboratively between teachers and researchers, it can be concluded that the activity of folding origami paper can improve children's fine motor skills, which can be seen in the increase from cycle I, which obtained a percentage of 55.55% of children. Classical children who were at the minimum criteria for developing according to expectations experienced an increase in cycle II, which obtained a percentage of 94.45% of classical children who were at the minimum criteria for developing according to expectations.

Abstract

Early childhood is a golden period where a child's brain develops and absorbs various things optimally at the same time, so it is an ideal period to lay the foundation for his future life. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of scissors on fine motor skills in young children. The cutting activity is designed to train children's fine motor skills, especially their fingers. The research method used is quantitative research using a single pre-test and post-test group as the research design. The data analysis technique uses a paired sample t-test, one of the test methods used to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment, which characterizes the difference in average values before and after the start of treatment. Based on the research results, in the mandatory test using the normality test and homogeneity test, the sign value for the normality test was 0.200 and the sign value for the homogeneity test was 0.400. In the paired sample test, after the test was carried out, it was found that the sign value was 0.000, where this sign value was less than 0.05. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the increase in children's interest in reading through the using picture story books. Classroom Action Research (PTK) is a research approach carried out by teachers in their own classes with the aim of understanding, improving, and developing the learning process and student learning outcomes. This method emphasizes the active participation of teachers as researchers in finding solutions to concrete problems that arise in the classroom. In cycle 1, it can be seen that a result of 44.4% was in the success category. This value shows that it does not meet the target indicator of success that has been determined, namely that at least 80% of children are able to observe the picture and answer the specified picture. Therefore, it is necessary to continue in the next cycle, namely the second cycle with two meetings. In cycle II, there was a significant increase in children's reading interest scores through picture book reading activities. The second cycle resulted in 6 children getting a score with the criteria of developing very well, 11 children getting a score with the criteria of developing as expected, and 1 child getting a score with the criteria of starting to develop. This shows that there are 17 children, or 94.4%, who have met the criteria for completion or indicators of research success. This shows an increase from cycle I, namely 44.4%, to 94.4% in cycle II..

Abstract

This study aims to identify, analyze, and summarize the findings of various previous studies on the use of technology in early childhood education (ECE) through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. This method was chosen because it provides a comprehensive understanding by reviewing various relevant articles, journals, and research reports. The SLR process begins with the identification of inclusion and exclusion criteria, which are used to select the studies analyzed. Data were collected from various sources such as academic journals, conference articles, and research reports in the last five years. The main focus of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of technology in supporting early childhood learning, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced by educators in integrating technology into the ECE curriculum. The results of the study indicate that technology has great potential to transform ECE education, increasing children's engagement, creativity, and learning abilities. However, the success of technology integration is highly dependent on the readiness of educators to utilize technology effectively and adequate access to technological devices. Therefore, educator training and the provision of appropriate infrastructure are essential to maximize the benefits of technology. Further research is needed to explore the best strategies for integrating technology into the ECE curriculum and to identify policies that can support the widespread implementation of technology in the ECE sector.
