Abstract

The development of technology in this millennial era is giving a new face to education. Issues were found from the observations, including: 1) a lack of technological facilities in schools, 2) a decline in children's cognitive abilities. Based on the issues presented in the background, this study aims to use virtual reality learning media to enhance the cognitive abilities of early childhood children. Classroom Action Research (CAR), the method used in this research. To collect data, the researchers used the following data collection methods: 1) Observation, gathering information from the observation of the research subjects. 2) Documentation, collecting several images of activities as part of the research. The author uses quantitative and qualitative analysis methods to collect data. This research found that the use of virtual reality-based media as a learning tool can enhance the cognitive abilities of young children. It can be seen from the first cycle of research that the classical average score of the children reached 54%. Meanwhile, in the second cycle, it increased to 82%. The target for the classical achievement set by the researcher was an average of 78%. Thus, in the second cycle, the classical average score of the children was achieved in accordance with the researcher's target. The use of virtual reality (VR) media has brought new innovations to the world of early childhood education, although currently only a few schools are using it for learning.

Abstract

Observations reveal several issues in education, including reliance on conventional teaching methods, educators' preference for competitive and individualistic approaches over collaborative ones, and limited opportunities for students to develop communication skills. This review aims to explore the importance of implementing the STEAM learning model, the underlying causes of educational challenges, and strategies to enhance students' 5C skills. The study adopts a Systematic Literature Review approach using the PRISMA method. Articles were retrieved from the Scopus database with the assistance of the Publish or Perish application. A total of 14 relevant and eligible articles were critically reviewed and analyzed to meet the research objectives. The findings demonstrate that the STEAM learning model is an innovative educational approach that effectively instils 5C skills—critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and confidence—in students. The integration of STEAM with other learning models provides students with relevant and practical learning experiences to address diverse educational needs. Implementing STEAM prepares future generations to face global challenges with comprehensive and relevant skill sets.

Abstract

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan Model Pendidikan Karakter di TK Muslimat Nu Sumbersuko 01 Lumajang. Pada pandangan teori terdapat 6 (enam) jenis model pendidikan karakter yang dapat diterapkan di sekolah yaitu Model Pembiasaan, Model Keteladanan, Model Pembinaan Disiplin Siswa, Model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning), Model Bermain Peran, dan Model Pembelajaran Partisipatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif.Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa TK Muslimat Nu Sumbersuko 01 Lumajang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 25 orang siswa dari seluruh kelas paralel. Data yang diperoleh, dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa model pendidikan karakter pada pandangan teori yang mendominasi di TK Muslimat NU Sumbersuko 01 Lumajang yaitu model keteladanan, mencapai 99,07 %. Pada model ini, seluruh pendidik serta tenaga pendidik dan orang tua mampu memberikan suri tauladan yang baik antara pendidikan di sekolah dan di rumah serta lingkungan. Selain itu, dari 18 karakter nasional juga telah ter substansi di dalam pendidikan karakter di sekolah ini, diantaranya religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/ komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mencoba mengetahui Cara pengawasan yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah di PAUD Muslimat Nurul Hidayah Selok Besuki Sukodono Lumajang. Apa saja kendala yang dihadapi dalam melaksanakan supervisi di PAUD Muslimat Nurul Hidayah Selok Besuki Sukodono Lumajang. Metode yang penulis gunakan dalam penulisan skripsi ini diawali dengan penentuan subjek penelitian, Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan berupa bentuk perencanaan pengawasan pokoknya adalah : Bimbingan profesi guru, pelaksanaannya berbentuk persiapan pengajaran yang meliputi pengembangan bahan pembelajaran, penerapan metodologi, penggunaan media dan pengelolaan kelas. Kegiatan ini kepala sekolah berupaya meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya, agar dapat berkembang sesuai dengan perkembangan terkini di bidangnya, kegiatan organisasi lainnya sebagai  wadah bagi guru untuk mengembangkan keterampilan. Selanjutnya adalah rapat dewan guru, orientasi guru, kelas dan kunjungan sekolah serta pertemuan individu dan kelompok. Kegiatan-kegiatan ini tidak ingin ditemukan oleh para pelaku kesalahan dan kelemahannya, namun untuk membantu pengembangan karir kemampuan profesionalnya. Faktor itu mempengaruhi pelaksanaan supervisi kepala sekolah dalam membina dan mengembangkan profesionalisme guru adalah faktor internal berupa kesiapan mental, kurangnya koordinasi. Selagi Faktor internal adalah soal dana dan waktu. Banyak yang beranggapan bahwa pengawasan adalah sesuatu yang memberatkan guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is the initial stage in the education system, where children are in the preschool period aged 0 to 6 years, which is a period of very rapid development.  The purpose of this research is to determine the improvement in children's numeracy skills through the application of dice games.  Early childhood numeracy skills include understanding and using basic mathematical concepts such as number recognition, simple counting, and object grouping.  Numeracy skills help children develop cognitive, logical, and problem-solving abilities, which are important foundations for more complex mathematics learning in the future.  Dice games make it easier for children to remember the material, especially in developing cognitive aspects by introducing simple counting methods.  This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, which involves two cycles where each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.  Based on the results of the Classroom Action Research (CAR) and the data analysis conducted, it is concluded that dice games can improve children's numeracy skills.  This is evidenced by the improvement in research results from cycle I, where 7 children or 43.75% met the minimum criteria for developing as expected, increasing to 14 children or 87.5% in cycle II.  Because in cycle II the success indicators have been met, this research is declared complete.  With those results, since the success indicators were met in cycle II, the research is considered complete.

Abstract

Early childhood education is a form of education aimed at optimizing children's growth and development. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of papercraft on the cutting skills of young children. This research uses an experimental research design. Experimental research in education is a research activity aimed at evaluating the effects of educational treatments on children's behavior or testing the hypothesis of whether or not there is an influence of handicrafts on children's cutting skills. The design used is a one-group pretest-posttest design. Based on the research results, the significance value of p is 0.003 <0.05, thus H0 is accepted, indicating that there is a significant effect on the cutting skills of children between the pretest and posttest at TK Nurus Sa'adah 03. From the results of the Wilcoxon test, which showed that there was no decline in cutting skills. In the positive range, there is an improvement from pre-test to post-test. This improvement can be seen in the similarity between the pretest and posttest, with 1 child showing neither improvement nor decline. Therefore, there are 11 children whose cutting skills improved through the papercraft activities.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the flipped classroom model using YouTube content to enhance independent learning among Indonesian high school students in the digital era. A qualitative research approach was employed, drawing on interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis to comprehensively examine students' experiences and challenges . The research investigates the perceived benefits of this approach . The findings indicate that integrating YouTube-based flipped classrooms fosters greater student autonomy, motivation, and engagement . Students can control the pace and timing of their content engagement, enhancing their responsibility for their learning . The use of multimedia content makes learning more appealing, leading to higher levels of participation and interest . Classroom sessions shift towards collaborative problem-solving and discussions. Challenges related to internet access, digital literacy, and the varying quality of YouTube materials remain . Teachers also need support in curating and integrating digital content effectively . Addressing these challenges is essential for maximizing the impact of flipped classrooms . Future research should explore scalable strategies for teacher training and digital resource development to support integrating flipped classrooms in diverse educational contexts

Abstract

Problems occur based on the field finding that the availability of time and space is limited during the learning process. In traditional classrooms, there is often not enough time to cover the material thoroughly, let alone build critical thinking skills. The aim of this research is to find out how the blended learning model can improve students' thinking skills. This research uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR) analysis with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta Analyses) method. To collect data, researchers used the Publish or Perish application. Currently, 49 articles from Scopus and 1 article from another application were selected, and then filtered using appropriate and relevant inclusion criteria. The research results show that combining the blended learning model with other learning models and supported by relevant learning media helps improve the assessment of students' HOTS thinking skills. This model allows for more thorough evaluation and encourages students to learn more, think critically, and find creative solutions independently. This results in a learning experience that is deeper, more meaningful, and relevant to real-world challenges. HOTS thinking skills needed for student success in the digital era can be built through a blended learning model that is integrated with appropriate learning models and media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis pada anak usia dini di TK As-Shobier, yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya variasi media pembelajaran dan dominasi metode konvensional dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis anak usia 5–6 tahun melalui pemanfaatan aplikasi edukatif Solite Kids sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I, keterampilan berpikir kritis anak belum berkembang secara optimal, dengan hanya satu anak mencapai kategori Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB). Setelah dilakukan perbaikan pembelajaran pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan, di mana tujuh dari delapan anak mencapai kategori BSB, dengan persentase keberhasilan antara 75% hingga 100%. Dengan demikian, penggunaan aplikasi Solite Kids terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak usia dini serta menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih aktif dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

Background: The implementation of the independent curriculum in modern education is a breakthrough aimed at improving the quality of education in Indonesia. This curriculum is expected to enhance students' quality in various areas, one of which is the development of critical thinking skills in early childhood.Aim: This research aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model using loose parts media on the critical thinking skills of early childhood.Method: This quantitative research involves 5-6-year-old students at Pos Paud Tanjung as the sample. Data collection was conducted through observation using a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The data analysis technique employed statistical testing using the T-test.Results: The results of the data analysis indicate that there is an effect of the discovery learning model using loose parts media on the critical thinking skills of early childhood, as evidenced by a significance result of 0,01 < 0,05 and a negative t-value of -15,657 < -2,10982. The average critical thinking skills score of the children before the treatment was 5,77.Conclusion: Thus, these findings contribute to the understanding of the potential application of the discovery learning model using loose parts-based media in enhancing the critical thinking skills of early childhood.
